Google
Very beautiful place, well organized With a cafetria, a terrasse, a gentil and helpful staff. Went there for a show for the first time and was impressed with the place. Bravo to the staff and everyone managing the Tonhalle Will come back for sur next time in Zurich !

Google
Great sound, nice place to go, but the friendliness of employees could be better (old lady responsible for the balcony left). Moreover, the seats are very tight and from the back you cannot see anything if you remain seated (and not stand). For CHF 55/ person in category 3 (where you cannot see) way too expensive. Could be improved.

We love you go to the Tonhalle and go very frequent with our 100 year old father. Somehow the yo Halle is not capable yo write in their program until what time the concert will take place (the Operahouse always mentions how long an opera is) We have written to the Tonhalle many times that it would be nice to have that information as definitely it is essential if you want a taxi to pick up an elderly person or if you need to catch a train after the concert. I hope they will finally include this information

I only wish I could have taken a tour but they do not start until October. But a magnificent place ! Here is the lobby.

The Tonhalle is an impressive architectural structure with an exceptional concert hall. I was particularly struck by the aesthetic appeal of the building. We attended a performance of Viva Verdi, which was a magnificent opera venue. The entrance to the Tonhalle is visually pleasing, and the garderobe facilities are well organized. The concert hall itself is remarkable, providing an exceptional acoustic experience. However, I found the ambiance of the cafe hall to be somewhat lacking in terms of comfort and coziness. Regarding parking, the only available parking facility is the Hyatt garage, which is quite expensive. For a parking duration of 3.5 hours, I incurred a charge of 24 Swiss francs.

New Year's concert... Wonderful occasion for the new year. The hall has been beautifully renovated... actually imperceptible because much has been retained, but this is brave and good. The staff were efficient (especially in the cloakroom), helpful and assertive (mobile phones stayed quiet and have to be left in our pockets).

Just neat! Seating not ideal if you have a tall person in front of you. Beautiful old architecture and great sound, though.

Yelp
This hall may be the most beautiful hall in switzerland. As a musician myself i come here very often not only to hear the crème de la crème of the classical music business, but also to play myself. The acoustic is great, the hall was constructed for an impeccable music experience. Even if you get bad seats you can hear every detail (as long as the artist plays precisely haha). The Tonhalle Orchestra is one of the very great orchestras. David Zinman, the conductor, is practically a legend and really knows what he is doing. This is kind of my home away from home - ithis place has kind of a comfortable and melancholic feel. I could stare at the ceiling for hours :) If you are in zurich an are interested in classical music, i highly recommend a visit at tonhalle zurich.

Yelp
A very good Orchestra. I heard them at the RFH some years ago. My daughter's aunt plays cello with them. The Conductor is David Zinmann, an American. I like him, and his interpretations. Over the years they have had guest 'desks', including the late Rostoprovitch (who I met first) and Yoyo Ma. There are many others. In recent years the Tonhalle has toured America and Japan, as well as it's normal tours of Europe. Two years ago, they played at the Royal Albert Hall also.
