Tonjes Farm Dairy

I came across their stand at the farmers market for the first time yesterday - I'm usually not there on Saturdays. I'm so glad I stopped by! My intuition didn’t let me down - this was exactly what I was looking for: fresh, real milk & cream that tastes just like the kind from my grandparents’ farm. Pure nostalgia. I’ll definitely be coming back!

I bought some of this cream from pepacton natural foods on my way out to go camping. We used it to cook a mushroom and veggie cream sauce over the fire. The cream itself was thick and almost sweet. The sauce took on a smoky taste from the fire and made for creamy jalopeño-y bliss. Greatest camp meal ever. Thanks! 🏕

It's just too good and so fresh. After having their plain yogurt, Greek yogurt, mozzarella and paneer, my body feel so nurtured and spoiled that I can't tolerate the taste from regular supermarket. It brings so much happiness to buy their products on Saturdays. Thank you for making them!!

Bought their Paneer from Union Square, and it’s probably the freshest and best paneer I had. I’m Indian, and I can assure you this paneer quality is far superior than anything you’d find in Indian stores.

You can't find whole milk, kefir, cream or farmer cheese anywhere even close to Tonjes in NYC. Top quality! Whenever I am lazy to make a trip to Union Square market on a Saturday, I regret it for the rest of the week - they are so amazing!

Their buttermilk, Greek yogurt and occasionally a cheese like haloumi or feta are staples for in my kitchen. The quality is excellent and they are low-key, friendly folks. Tonjes is a gift to the Union Square greenmarket and all of us shoppers there.

We visit the Union Square Market regularly just to pick up paneer cheese and other dairy products from these guys! Their quality is always brilliant and well worth trying!

After being snapped at when I asked a question and corrected for saying the wrong size of the product, the guy shorted my change by several dollars. Gee, thanks a lot. I shopped at your stand every week--I will not be back.

I had to write a review of these guys after researching them as a result of having had a most amazing cheese experience with them. They now sell halloumi and paneer, which has made our weekend. Best cheese around! Will be back next week for more!

I purchased kefir & yogurt from their stand at Union Square today & am sooooooo happy!! This is the most delicious yogurt & incredibly fresh. Looking forward to visiting them every weekend.
