Local favourite and they speak English too. Seriously good food and a nice vibe across the resto amongst the cooking atmosphere. Ive been about 8 times and always bring a visitor in town here

came here as it was very highly recommended by couple of friends. the restaurant has a cozy traditional vibe to it. it’s mainly known for it’s steak & tomahawks and we were definitely not disappointed by it. the meat is of very good quality. Appetisers had some interesting fusions & they have a good selection of wine to accompany the meat. The only disappointment was the fish. the one we received was not well cooked , parts of it still frozen. so, we were a bit let down by that. but, we forgot all about fish once we had the dessert . The pain perdue ( reimagined, with praline) was out of this world.. absolutely delicious & a huge portion too. overall, would definitely recommend this place if you love meat

Been here a couple times. Really nice service. The food is delicious. Flavors very well balanced and enjoyable. The food is nicely prepared and fresh. Delicious French fries. The steak is flavorful. Unique starters and mains.

Tonton des Dames is the perfect destination for meat lovers. The côte de bœuf is perfectly cooked and full of flavor, accompanied by a thoughtful and diverse wine selection that pairs beautifully with the meal. Their os à moelle is exceptional – a creative and delicious take that truly stands out. The ambiance is vibrant and fun, with a great vibe that keeps the evening lively. The staff are warm, welcoming, and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable. Definitely a spot worth visiting if you appreciate quality French cuisine and a good time. Highly recommend!

Came by on a cold night and it was fully packed. We were ushered to our seats shortly when there was available and promptly given our menu in French. As its a very local restaurant, the waitress apologised and took her time to explain to us the house special and also the dishes for the set meal. We pick those recommended by her and were truly impressed with the taste and size of the dishes. Entrée was very good sized with sides. Next was the main dish, very good portioning with sides (Fries & Vegetables). Ending the good night with sweet dessert. Definitely a must to drop the next time I'm around the area.

Disappointed to be honest. I am always on the look for a great meat place. The good reviews of tonton made me itching to go. The place was meh. Charolaise meat is not the best cow breed and it shows. Bone marrow. Was disappointing. There are better places around unfortunately.

Food is good if you take the beef. Maybe I was unfortunate but I did try the ris de veau and have been terribly sick after. Perhaps the sauce ? Servers should be smiling they seem to be stressed…
