The tonkotsu broth is perfect with the kick of the aromatic fired garlic on top. I recommend their signature ramen since it have all you need (Soy sauce boiled egg and stewed pork). Gyoza is a bit too mild for my group. You can easily ordered by food ticket machine which also has English menu option. Seems to be very well loved among locals. My friends love the ramen and said that this is one of the best ramen she had ever had with her 1 year of studying in Japan.

I really love their ramen. It’s is recommended by the tourism counter staff at kagoshima chuo station. It’s one of the best I had. I loved it very much I went twice! 😆 Their gyoza is delicious too. Not typical Japanese gyoza. I tried the 3 popular ramen, of all I loved no. 3 ramen and second one is no. 2 chashu ramen. I find no. 1 ramen light in flavor. Putting chili flakes on the ramen hits different! 🤯 I tried the pulled chashu rice bowl too, it was so-so. Definitely, will come back again when I return to Kagoshima.

Came here with my wife after being rejected by so many other restaurants. (Not sure if it's because we don't speak Japanese lol). Anyway, the service here is good. We were welcomed with open arms even though the staff does not speak English. Ordering is done via a ticketing system available in Japanese, English and Mandarin. Once done, just pass the tickets to the staff who will bring the tickets to the kitchen, and wait for your order to come. We ordered the Tontoro signature option and the Char Siew option. Both options were on the salty side however the tontoro broth was more salty. Not that it's a bad thing, we still enjoyed our dinner very much. Just drink less broth that's all lol. Sizes for the ramen comes in small, medium and large. Small is just right for us as we are not huge eaters. We also ordered the dumplings which is recommended too. Overall, the meal was very comforting and we left the restaurant with our bellies very satisfied.

Great ramen. Soup is not too oily, the braised pork is exceptionally delicious, and the fried garlic adds to the special flavour in the broth. There may be some waiting outside the restaurant if it is full, but the queue clears fast, as diners come and go and will leave once they finish their meals. If you are not used to sitting cross legged while having your meals, please request for a counter seating. Enjoy your ramen, and try the plain rice with any leftover broth after finishing the ramen.

Queued for only ten minutes at quarter past eleven and had very nice soup. Welcoming to foreigners despite limited Japanese. Ramen is delicious with good flavor. I drank it all. Rice dish is alright. Price performance is good. Ticket machine is in Japanese only.

This is a rich, heavy, luxurious bowl. And yet, I didn't feel it was overwhelmingly rich. The broth is pretty balanced but on the heavy side, and the noodles are good and pretty chewy but nothing really special. I think where this place shines is the toppings. In my opinion, the pork, egg, and little crispy bits on top are absolutely incredible. The pork is very fatty and extremely soft. Personally I love that, but I know some people don't. The seasoned egg though is bar none the best seasoned egg I've ever had in a bowl of ramen. The seasoning is not too strong and the egg yolk has the most rich and incredible flavour... it's the egg of dreams. Perfectly cooked too. No idea why these eggs are so good but HOOOOLY. Do not skip out on this egg. Finally the crispy bits and green onion are just dang good and quality additions. Given the heaviness of the bowl, unless you're really starting, the medium size should be perfect for most people. Overall, I don't think it really stands out as unique Kagoshima ramen, but it's just a quality bowl. 8.5/10

Don't trust the average rating. One of the best ramen from Kagoshima for sure. The broth is delicious and the noodles are bouncy. But the real star is the char siu. It's fatty, umami, has a strong porky flavour and melt in your mouth ! In addition, the restaurant is run by a very kind couple. I also had the mayonnaise rice (there a poached egg in here not mayonnaise though, mistranslation I suppose) which was a good side dish for the price. Be sure to check-out this place if you're in the city!

Excellent ramen, broth is rich and flavorful, charsiew is well braised and melts in mouth. Noodle is firm but not hard. The rice bowls are good too. Go very well with noodle broth.
