"Tony Packo’s has sold sausages with spicy chili sauce since 1932. Today, the restaurant has five locations, but you’ll have to visit the original to see Jimmy Carter’s actual signature scribbled across a piece of stale bread. Hot dog buns signed by celebrities line the walls at Tony Packo’s in Toledo, Ohio. Most of these are custom-made, artificial recreations. But the original tradition involved signing an actual bun. The actor Burt Reynolds unintentionally got things started in the 1970s by putting his autograph on bread instead of a piece of paper. Since then, countless politicians, actors, and musicians put their John Hancock on the simple, perishable carbohydrate. While almost every piece of processed bread manufactured in the 1970s has since disintegrated, two signatures from Tony’s original collection of branded buns remain framed. The first belongs to Jimmy Carter, the 39th president of the United States. The second is emblazoned with the handwriting of Walter Mondale, the 42nd vice president of the United States. This particular intersection of Americana-meets-White House paraphernalia has, by no means, aged well. But, they’re both real, and still proudly mounted on the wall at Tony Packo’s. Know Before You Go There are three Tony Packo's locations in Toledo. To see the presidential bun, be sure to visit the original location on Front Street." - ange1a, Dave L, LiveLaughLeavemeAlone, rachelrummel, SemiruralYeti

This is a crazy place, with a constant parade of diners moving in and out. In spite of the crowd, the wait was reasonable, and the staff kept everything moving right along. The food was good, but I don't see what all the hype is about in that regard. The best part about Tony Packo's is the atmosphere with a nostalgic diner vibe, and...the signed hot dog buns. I was unaware of all the celebrity-signed buns, preserved in individual cases, and displayed throughout the premises. The scope of this was beyond impressive. What a massive collection, with signatures from actors, politicians, musicians, athletes, and the like. Truly iconic and historic individuals. It's worth going for that reason alone. And...grab a hot dog while there just to have had one. Overall a fun place that has a lot of history.

This is a historic diner. I absolutely love the decor inside, so much to take in. You can sit in the bar area and be served or order at the counter and then pick your seat. The staff is very nice and helpful. They serve chili hotdogs, stuffed cabbage, fried pickles, etc. I got the chili and cheese pierogies, and they were fantastic. Their hot dogs are really good as well. There is also a small gift shop with t-shirts, pickles, chili, hot dogs, etc. I definitely recommend checking them out. I know, for a fact, that I will be back.

I go to Packo’s every time I go to Toledo or Detroit. It’s an institution and all around World Famous. Don’t dare miss out by not eating here. Amazing food all around. From the dogs, to the chili, and their pickles, Wow! I enjoy both kinds. But, the sweet & hots are my favorite! Lastly the German potato salad is great too. And Very friendly and attentive servers. Great atmosphere. The autographed hot dogs are very cool. Burt Reynolds started this tradition. Do not miss out to eat here.

Google
Roast beef sandwich was excellent--great roast beef sandwich on soft bread slices smothered in gravy. Mashed potatoes were good. Hot dogs were great, and the chili had a nice light amount of spice to it. Waitress was fast and friendly. Food was out in less than 10 minutes. Totally happy we decided to make this stop while in Toledo.

Our family would like to thank Tony Packo’s and our wonderful server Amber for a memorable dinner on Friday, June 12, 2025. We returned to our hometown to honor our late father and to dine at the original Tony Packo’s, one of his favorite restaurants. As children he took us there to hear the Cake Walkin’ Jazz Band and enjoy an authentic Toledo tradition. Although the band was not playing that evening, we nonetheless recaptured the nostalgia of those visits with our dad. Amber’s friendly and attentive service made our evening special. My mother, who is Hungarian and an excellent cook of traditional Hungarian dishes, gave her thumbs up. At the end of the meal Amber kindly offered to take a family photo to preserve the memory of the night. Tony Packo’s never disappoints and they proved it once again on June 12. Thank you for the memories. We look forward to returning soon!

Google
Wonderful place to get delicious, hot and fresh food! Casual, fun atmosphere! So much fun to walk around and look at all of the autographed hot dog buns! So many celebrities! So many buns! Beyond crazy and fun! One of a kind experience! The best chicken paprikash I've had (next to my best friend's chicken paprikash - and she's Hungarian!) Definitely worth the drive from wherever you are! Definitely recommend!

Google
A Toledo institution. It’s fun to look at the signed hot dog buns from presidents and celebrities before scarfing down a chili dog with an incredible snap to it. The Mac and cheese is a bit goofy but nothing I would be upset about. Friendly service!

Google
Hotdog is not as much of a surprise, but the cabbage roll is really something. You gotta try it! Great service, we sit at the bar and the lady is very nice. She even gives us a free sausage - yeah they put sausage on the Bloody Mary for decorating. (Sausage tasted okay) For parking, go to the street cross the restaurant, there’s many.

Yelp
It's a Sunday just before 3p and it seems crazy busy. A staff person said it's just a Sunday making us think that this place is probably busy then really busy. Love the vibe, decor and history on display here. On a whim we decided to stop in Toledo on our road trip and looked up interesting tidbits from the area and landed here. We were M.A.S.H fans so we were even more intrigued to stop in. You need to set aside your 'healthy/diet' food for a meal and take in this place. We went mostly all in on the authentic Tony Packo's Signature Chili Hot Dog. We also chose the German Potato salad & Paprikas Dumplings as our sides. We got very full, but wanted to try the strudel and hit it to go for later. Rating is for the entire experience/ we enjoyed our lunch stop.

Yelp
We always enjoy Tony Packo's! The Hungarian establishment has been there since the 1930's - super cool history & lots of collector items sprinkled throughout. Located in Hungarian Town! The food is always served up with a smile. The sausages are amazing, I prefer one all the way with cheese, a side of paprikas, cucumber salad, and a half order of their famous fried pickles. Everything is always consistently amazing! Multiple locations have opened in the previous years, so you may hit up Packo's all around the Toledo area. Give Tony Packo's a try! You will be in love!

Yelp
3 years later... I discovered the OG Tony Packo's is on Front Street. ((Mind blown emoji)) Great Hungarian Kolbasz!! I love their $2 Tuesday -- $2 Dogs on Tuesdays. I've only had one bad customer service experience but, overall, the customer service is awesome. Great food! And, I personally feel like the history is all behind the mirrors. The ambiance of this original location is historic. There's a ton of original decor -- the checkered floor, bar and bar mirrors, and etc.

Bruce C.

Yelp
First time at Tony Pacho's for dinner. Good history here with plenty of signed hot dog buns by famous patrons. My wife and I split a roast beef platter. She had a bowl of Chicken Dumpling soup and I had to try their famous hot dog. Everything was good including the Hungarian potato salad. Topped it off with a Pacho's golden lager which is locally brewed. Everything is reasonably priced and was served quickly. Wanted to try the bread pudding but it was sold out. Boooo. Thanks Amanda for the great service.

Steven E.

Yelp
The original location on Front street is also the very best. Toledo's home to the Hungarian kolbasz sausage. The decor is exceptional. The walls are covered with pictures of the famous and autographed hot dog buns, a tradition that started way back in 1972 by actor Burt Reynolds. Usually, the service is acceptable. We've had one maybe two incidents where the servers weren't very good. All the food here is exceptional. The dumplings are near perfect and the garlic pickles are the very best. Not too spicy, yet addicting. Their chicken paprikas and the stuffed cabbage are also top shelf. You really should try the TP original Hungarian Dog with mustard, onion and chili. They give you a slice of their famous pork sausage on a tasty warmed bun. Cheese is optional, for a charge. I keep meaning to ask if they have a menu option to buy the entire sausage, not just part of one. They were smart enough to open a gift shop in the back. You'll find everything Tony Packo's from tee shirts to pickles to coffee mugs and more. I've got a TP baseball jersey at home. As wonderful as Packo's is, they will always rank as a close second in my "Best hot dog in Toledo" category. More to come. 12/23

Yelp
So this was in the top 10 places to visit in Toledo d/t popularity from the TV show M*A*S*H. We were hyped. We had the original chili hotdogs. Nothing spectacular here, just like Skyline Chili hotdog or any other chili hotdog..

Sandy W.

Yelp
If you are ever in Toledo Ohio, it's a must to go to the original Tony Packo's. Restaurant is filled with flashbacks from the TV show MASH. Hungarian chili dogs are a must, along with fried pickles or sauerkraut pregios are also great. Service was excellent and we got our orders quickly. Extensive gift shop to take home your favorite condiments or tee shirts.

Nancy R.

Yelp
Tony Packo's famous hot dog is actually a delicious flavorful Hungarian Kolbasz sausage. The sliced sausage is placed in a hot dog bun topped with mustard, chopped onions, their house dog sauce and shredded cheese. Their stuffed cabbage was tender and tasty- the filling consists of; ground beef, ground pork, rice and seasoning, hand rolled- cooked in a sour cream tomato sauce- delicious. The fried pickles were sweet with a hint of heat- very tasty. Packo's famous chili was good, it reminded me of a good hotdog chili, except for the red kidney beans in the chili. Packo's made famous from the TV show M*A*S*H. Excellent customer service.

Caroline J.

Yelp
First time here and needed to stop to try the famous Tony Packo's and it was very good! Inside it's decorated with signed hot dog buns from famous people who have visited along with other fun decor. Food: Pierogis Hot Dog plain Hot dog with onions and hot dog sauce Spatzel with paprikash sauce Stuffed cabbage Mac and cheese German potato salad Our group of four tried the above dishes and all were very good. We also got the chicken sandwich and while it wasn't bad, I would go for one of the more authentic dishes or a hot dog here! Our server was also wonderful and even with multiple tables she always checked on us! Fun iconic restaurant, that if you are in the Toledo area check out one of their locations.

Scott D.

Yelp
Authentic HungeriaLove the history and the food. I haven't been here for a while, but it looks the same inside, I think the menu board and prep line have been updated. The Hungarian hotdog is my favorite, kielbasa style, very unique with the Chile. They have pierogi on the menu too. Hot pickles are fantastic!

Tha B.

Yelp
I grew up in this neighborhood, I never came here as a kid because we didn't have much money. 40 years later and this place is still here. We have been to Tony Packo's numerous times since. I love the cosy atmosphere of the interior. This place is casual so no need to dress up. On this visit, we were greeted and seated by the hostess promptly. The server was quick and efficient. They seemed to have plenty of workers but for a Saturday night they weren't that busy. I ordered two hotdogs and my husband ordered the chicken chili and mashed potatoes. Simple dishes but satisfying. They don't have a big menu but sometimes you don't need all the fluff. The hotdogs are like kielbasa not the typical American hotdogs. I only got chili on mine this time, I normally get cheese and onions also. The chicken chili has big chunks of chicken in it- the hubby said it was good. What can I say about the mashed potatoes? I would recommend at least trying a hotdog if you are in Toledo. They have a bar so if hotdogs aren't your thing at least stop in and have a drink, catch a game on one of their TVs.

Ben S.

Yelp
Yeah, I'm giving a hot dog joint five stars. Why? Mainly because of the unique experience, yummy food and great service. Had their standard dog. Came with chili, onions and mustard. Nothing like my standard order but really worked. The chili had a big flavor, the hotdog was a bit garlicky and had a nice snap to the casing while the rest of it rounded out the dish. Perogies showed up a few minutes later. I went with their standard flavor and really enjoyed how the potato stuffing paired with the paprika-infused sour cream. Tasty! Glad I gave them a shot!

Jeffrey R.

Yelp
Self service for lunch. Not like it used to be; no bands no entertainment. Of course the "hot dog" made famous from MASH is the best thing on the menu. A Hungarian hot dog more like a smoked sausage. The German potato salad used to one of the best on the menu. Sometimes they carry it sometimes they don't. Soup is good and hearty. I say just get the dog and cold beer and you can't go wrong.

Paul M.

Yelp
Stopped here on Christmas eve, This place has an awesome atmosphere and great decor, down to the autographed buns and gift shop. The hot dogs were great along with their other food, especially the strudel, get the strudel!!! And the staff was friendly and very helpful, our waitress Alissa was awesome as well, i think it was the owner who even stopped to say hi and thanked us for coming in. If you are a fan of hot dogs, pirogies and M*A*S*H you got to go!!

Robert F.

Yelp
A hometown favorite that I never miss. For all the convenience of the new locations, there is nothing quite like the original. I'm not sure why the food tastes better here but it does. My favorite, the hot dog combo with a beer. Wanna go big, order the MOAD.

Ann O.

Yelp
Very confusing place! Rude employees! Food was ok but the bartender was horrible! We waited in line, she ignored us and then finally said she wasn't taking any more drink orders because she had to go make some food! Too bad this historic restaurant has been taken over by such rude employees! I will not be stopping in again if that's the way they treat customers!

Kenya G.

Yelp
Such a fun experience to visit the iconic Tony Packo's! The space is much bigger than you would imagine from the outside and so many tables! Service was good and quick it seemed. I enjoyed the packo dog, it was a surprise with the dog being like a kielbasa. I will be buying them again. The paprika dumplings on the other hand, I could live without. They were interesting but I found them to be bland. Overall, if you are visiting the area don't forget to stop by!

Doug L.

Yelp
Great experience and yummy food! Signature hot dogs are worth the trip. The signed hot dogs buns are really cool to see. Friendly staff and inviting environment.

Marianne R.

Yelp
We were in town for a bowling tournament with co workers/friends and decided to try out this place. I'm originally from Northern Ohio and have been here many years ago and know the story behind the restaurant with Jamie Farr mentioning it on his TV show "Mash". And the famous hot dogs on the wall. We were seated right away on a Friday evening which was great. It was like 8:00pm. We were in a group of 8. We were tired and ready to eat. Service was great. Few errors with some food but the waitress was on it and fixed it quickly no biggie. Our mixed drinks were very good. My chicken chili was yummy. We were a little divided with the place. Some were in love with the food others were just okay. My friend and I did love the desserts. Either way we had great service and hot food to eat. No one left hungry and we had a good time. Thanks again!

Alicia B.

Yelp
Great hotdogs! Really tasty chili! Delicious pickles and fried pickles! Personally, I did not like the German potato salad - wayyy too much vinegar and not enough other flavor- and the paprika dumplings were rather bland. I love that they have a little shop to buy the hotdogs, sauce, chili, pickles, and other souvenirs like shirts and keychains. Every time I'm in Toledo I stop for a hotdog and a beer and grab a few packs to-go! Staff is always nice and friendly. A few people love to chat about the hotdog bun signatures and the history of the place which is neat. I like looking at all the memories posted on the walls and reading the signatures they have collected over the years. Recommended highly for the hotdogs, pickles, fried pickles, and memorabilia!

Ken P.

Yelp
Man, this place is historic! My dad took me here as a child. It is my first time back in a very very long time. My grandma used to watch M*A*S*H religiously. So, I know that connection thru Jamie Farr. Lots of good memories.... The dogs are top notch! The strudel is like a delicious peace of history on a plate. Also had the beef sandwich. Was likely the best I've had outside Chicago. If you haven't gone to the original Tony Pavos on Front Street, you need to!! One of the gals said she has worked through since 1986!! I would never go to or through Toledo without stopping. Go here!!

Erin C.

Yelp
We love coming to Tony P's whenever we drive down from Metro Detroit. The servers are always friendly and the food is always hot & tasty. My husband gets the two hot dog platter and I get the chili mac. They load it up with shredded cheese so I am always happy. Our server brought us a sample of the chicken 'n dumplings soup when I inquired about the soups after ordering. It was a kind gesture and the soup tasted homemade. We haven't had a bad meal yet. We will be back soon I'm sure.

Don D.

Yelp
I can't be within a hour of Tony Packo's and not stop. Service excellent, food incredible , the place is just like no other with the buns on the walls.

Patti C.

Yelp
Food was good! Homemade spicy ketchup so good we bought a bottle for home! The best part of the place was the employees! They all knew the history and nostalgia and love to share the stories!

Jason O.

Yelp
Tony Packo's is a pretty decent experience for both food and history. The original location has a strange, yet impressive, wall-mounted collection of hot dog buns that have been autographed by loads of celebrities including US Presidents. The place also has a connection to the show MASH as Klinger hails from Toledo and raved about the place on several episodes. The restaurant itself is old school but has been kept in great shape. There's a nice little bar area as well. The food is pretty good but it's not the most authentic Hungarian you'll find. The service was friendly and the food arrived quickly. I think this place is worth the history over the food but I'd definitely come back for more.

Dale L.

Yelp
Tony packo's is a Toledo institution. You can't beat the $2 dogs every Tuesday. If you're on a budget, get them to go and save the cost of a beverage. This location is the original and it was packed the day after Christmas. I assume because people are off and it's a place you want to take out of town guests. Even with it being packed, I was in and out with my to go order. The interior is filled with celebrity signed hot dog buns. It is somewhat intimate with the multiple dining areas.

Bruce K.

Yelp
When I said I was heading south, my friend said that I would be doing myself a disservice by not stopping here in Toledo at Packo's. So after sightseeing along the way, I got here at 8:00 for dinner. Warmly welcomed and directed to the bar area, I took up a comfy stool and was presented with a menu. Not long after that, I placed an order and then it arrived. I tried to stay towards keto, enjoying a Tony Packo's sausage with cole slaw and a bowl of their cucumber salad. The sausage was delicious but did need some mustard for flavor. They only have yellow, not brown. Bummer. A good meal and I passed on dessert. Good service, good food, a local joint at a reasonable price. I'd eat here again! [Review 17987 overall - 141 in Ohio - 1508 of 2022.]

Yelp
I have been dining there for 2 decades. Best hotdogs with the softest buns in the world. It is well worth the wait in line at lunchtime during the week. You are served very fast. If you have ever been a "Mash" fan like myself, and/or loved Jamie Farr, you must put this Hungarian restaurant on your Bucket list. One can spend a lot of time looking over the signed buns under glass, by famous celebrities who have visited and dined there in the past. I live well over 50 miles from there, but I make it my go to eating place on my way to the U.P.

Jonna W.

Yelp
In Toledo- must try the original, right? No. You actually don't have to. We went on a Sunday afternoon after visiting the Museum before going back home. The host was present and kinda grumpy. maybe she was having a bad day. The food was heavy and not really good. Maybe just not my taste. Our server stopped by once to check on us and both our drinks were empty for quite some time. Drinks never got refilled. Overall the place was dirty and the furniture and floors greasy. It's a tourist place, they are turning tables as quickly as possible and selling merch from a gift shop in the back corner. You get what you get. No need to return.

Lora B.

Yelp
My friend ordered us dinner, it was horrible ..2 chillies macs were extremely small and tasteless except a spice that was hot...2 hotdogs which one hotdogs was barely there..two bottles of pop almost 7 dollars WHAT! two cookies which is the only thing that was good..so disappointed..

Peter P.

Yelp
I had never heard of this place, but I'm glad we stopped in to eat. We were driving back from Toronto to Indianapolis and were looking for an interesting place to have dinner in Toledo. When I heard it was basically a hot dog joint, I was a little skeptical. Then when we pulled up and I saw how many cars were in the parking lots (there's more than 1), I figured this place must be pretty good. And it was definitely worth the trip. The inside is really cool. There are the signed "hot dog buns" (they're not actually bread) covering the walls. The food is cheap, tasty, and you get a ton of food. There's even a gift shop.

Roxanne B.

Yelp
Good hotdogs, love them. Service is fine for fast food. I only do takeout, but the restaurant downtown has a cozy atmosphere.

Phil Y.

Yelp
Family vacation 2021...bringing the California variant of COVID-19 to your city. MASH reruns made me go to Tony Packo's. I stopped here during our summer road trip and ordered takeout. It seemed like a fun place. If not for the pandemic, it would've been interesting eating here. We ordered a couple of their hot dogs, a cabbage roll and chicken paprika. My wife and daughter didn't like the cabbage roll or chicken paprika. The hot dog was good. It was a good place to visit while on a road trip.

Michael U.

Yelp
Since 1932 Tony Packo's has been slinging Sausage and Sauce to East Toledo, the Restaurant that M*A*S*H made synonymous with The Glass City having since expanded past Front Street though the original still stands proud. A story of Hungarian immigrants, Tony Packo learning his trade at Consaul Tavern with his brother, it was during the Great Depression that Packo began slicing Kolbasz and serving it on Hot Dog Buns with spicy Sauce, Mustard and Onions. Eventually coined the "Hungarian Hot Dog," a tradition of signed Buns started in 1972 by Burt Reynolds, 2022 finds prices raised from 5 cents to $3.99 while the menu has expanded to encompass an "Eastern European Kitchen." Still decorated similar to the 70s, a dimly-lit tavern with comfy booths and a gift shop peddling Pickles and Peppers, guests will now find Chili Fries adjacent Pierogis or Roast Beef on Rye, though those seeking a highlight beyond the Sausage should strongly consider Chicken Paprikas made the old-fashioned way over Nokedli. Also offered on Secor, at the Ball Park and by mail, a rift in the family leading to significant monetization, Desserts include seasonal Strudel that shatters in layers plus a sizable wedge of steamy Bread Pudding complete with Whip and Ice Cream.

J L.

Yelp
Great place, food was good service was awesome! Would definitely return here with the kids they enjoyed it and we did not have any issues at all.

Butch W.

Yelp
Wonderful food - very nostalgic for fans of M*A*S*H like me. 'Wish we had one here in Columbus!

Jo C.

Yelp
Best stuffed cabbage! If you are looking for some amazing fried pickles this is your place! I wish I took a pic of my food. It just came out so yummy and delicious my brain was in the land of yum instead of thinking about pictures lol. A tiny bit, like a Little pricy but worth it! So good. Would recommend!

Jesse E.

Yelp
I can't think of a restaurant more worthy of a five star designation. From the history, with its Toledo roots and Jamie Farr highlight, to the ambience, the people, the food, the service, and so much more, this place is incredible. Right away I was struck by how well the setting balances its Eastern European decor with the typical American diner feel. The vibes were great, and they were helped immensely by the very friendly staff. My server gave me a rundown of the Tony Packo's history and their staple foods. She recommended the hot dogs, so I obliged and got the platter with two dogs. My first surprise was how quickly the food arrived. My second surprise was how outstandingly good the food was! Everything I had in that meal was without a doubt absolutely top-notch, no exceptions. As I ate, my server was very attentive and personable, and I even had others working there come up to ask me how my food was. All in all, this place lives up to its M*A*S*H hype and more. I'm from Pennsylvania and I rep the state 100%, to the point that I am in the PSU Blue Band. However, this place almost made me forgo the state rivalry and switch my allegiances to Toledo.

Barbara F.

Yelp
We have loved Tony Packo's for years, never disappointed. Try the chili sundae and the chicken paprikas!

Gerald H.

Yelp
Stopped here while coming through and looking for a late lunch. I wouldn't say it was in a glamorous part of town - several mill like buildings and some wide open spaces - so parking wasn't an issue. From the outside it looks like a small place - and then you walk in. Very large, plenty of seating with a gift shop and large stage like seating too. I will say the biggest issue is the menu which to a person who is a first-timer is hard to navigate. It would be helpful to explain why each item is, what comes with what etc. The waitress was nice and did help though. We ordered pierogi to start - which were good - a little different and the paprika was a nice touch. For my meal, I got two of the original hot dogs and a side of macaroni and cheese. They were out of potato salad. The hot dogs are thick casing half-sliced hot dogs covered in chili and onions with mustard. I thought the casing was great and the spice in the sauce had a good zing to it. We got two cookies to go and hit the road. This place was good - would recommend it for a stop - and though they have more commercial locations I would recommend the charm of the original.

Laima P.

Yelp
On our way home we stoped at this place and we're pleasantly surprised! Great Hungarian hotdogs - very flavorful and has this pinch of hotness (Hungarian paprika but doesn't burn your moth that you do not feel any flavor), loved stuffed cabbage as it reminded of my childhood And warm apple strudel was tasty! Definitely the institution of Toledo you have to stop and taste!

Sharon J.

Yelp
Food is always good and the employees are always nice . We always enjoy ourselves when we are there.

Shawn B.

Yelp
Very standard hot dogs in a touristy setting. Loving on an old reputation. The benefit of this place is adequate seating when it's busy. Isn't horrible but not great either. Limited menu.

Chelsea D.

Yelp
I haven't been there is a while. It was always delicious. My favorite was their version of chili Mac. They offer a fun atmosphere.

Les R.

Yelp
A fun, staple restaurant when visiting Toledo. I would say a must visit. Atmosphere is a fun, casual, themed restaurant. I recommend taking the time to check out all the signed hotdog buns and the gift shop. I even picked up some canned brittany-tomatoes for a gift. Two of us ate lunch there and we both went with the HOT DOG PLATTER. The world-famous Pack's Hungarian hot dog with mustard, diced onions, and topped with their famous sauce, a cup of chili and a side ($11.59). For the side I chose the CHICKEN SOUP WITH HUNGARIAN DUMPLINGS. I was not fan so switched out for the Mac & Cheese. The PACKO'S WORLD-FAMOUS CHILI is really salty but it's good. You can get some cheese and sour cream if you want. Coolest thing is they let you sample any of the sides or pickles and will swap out the side at no cost if you don't like it. Locals know and If you are from out of town, or just passing thru, I totally recommend eating here. If nothing else it is one of the cool stops to check off the list of things you got to do while in Toledo. It's pretty cool. I think I would go for two dogs and a bowl of Mac and Cheese next visit.

Cindi R.

Yelp
Love walking around and seeing all of the signed buns!! Lunch is served cafeteria style but no change in the food!! Had the stuffed cabbage this time. Very tasty. The pickles had a hot kick to them. Bought a jar for home.

Yelp
Yelpers, you did what you do best - helped me find a place that would never have been on my radar before. We were driving through the area and looking for an interesting place to stop for dinner. The service was so friendly and fast, the food was delicious, and we loved the gift shop!

Yelp
I love a good cup or bowl of chili having went to Xavier in Cincinnati. I have heard of the show Mash. My family had been here previously and this was my first time and I really enjoyed it!! I picked the bowl size and it was plenty!! A very filling bowl of chili. I'm glad we stopped in. A fun little spot. A lot memorabilia around the restaurant. The menu was labeled well for vegetarian and gluten free. The staff was very quick and helpful in pointing out the gluten free labels next to respective dishes. Someone came around and asked how things were tasting. We said great and asked about the buns and where we could find any specific ones. She came back with a folder with a map and big long list of names and their profession. Actors, musicians and local TV people for the Toledo area. I can definitely see myself coming back here. Really good food and maybe I'll find even more names on fake hot dog buns!!

Yelp
What can you say, it's Tony Packos. Great food, good portions, great atmosphere especially if you're in the original location on Front St. Service is fast and friendly. Price not bad for good casual dining.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious food and fun ambiance....! Most importantly I want to give a shout out to server Connie (who's also bartender) and Kiki. Both are so nice, engage in fun banter and make awesome food recommendations leading to a great dining experience!
