Why Dining in This Canadian Province Is Unlike Anywhere Else - AFAR

"A popular spot for the city's iconic donair: spiced beef roasted on a spit, thinly shaved onto pita and topped with a sugary garlic sauce, tomato and onion, presenting a Greek-influenced wrap that's emblematic of Halifax's casual food culture." - AFAR

7 Must-Try Dishes From Nova Scotia, Canada - AFAR

"A little, no-frills Halifax pizza shop that's been serving donair and pizza for more than 40 years; its donair is a pita filled with spicy rotisserie beef, chopped tomatoes, onions, and shredded lettuce, finished with a distinctive, sweet sauce made on a base of Carnation-brand evaporated condensed milk with garlic, vinegar, extra sugar and a secret ingredient. The shop is extremely popular—lines can get intense across its two Halifax locations, and sales have spiked to thousands after major events." - Jenny Adams

Google
Donair done RIGHT! None of those dry bits squished together like you will find at other places! Tony's serves proper slices! Even in their egg rolls! Absolutely delicious 😋

Google
Donair flavour was great though the pizza crust was undercooked. Could have used a little more cheese too. Poutine was fine and the donair egg rolls were pretty good too…

I visited this place 3 times during my Halifax trip. My first visit, I got a large Donair wrap - it was actually amazing! It set the bar super high. If I was grading only based on that, this would be a 6-star review. Second visit, I got a Donair Poutine and it just wasn't special in any way. The Donair meat, which has a nice flavour, gets completely smothered by the gravy and you don't even understand what you're eating. Third visit, I got a Donair pizza. Sorry to report but that was probably the worst pizza I've ever had in my life. It was dry and bland with a lot of dough and not much on top of it. While the Donair Sauce & meat are top-notch in flavour, the service and friendliness of the staff was disappointing. I saw that the Donair Sauce is available for purchase in bottles. When I asked the guy to see the bottle before purchase, he was so difficult for no reason. First he shows me a small pack (not the bottle) of the sauce to say 'thats the sauce'. I repeat, 'can I see the bottle', and he tries to make me pay for it before seeing it, super strange. I tell him I need to check for allergies, and he still refuses to show the bottle. Eventually another guy grabs and gives me the bottle to check. To my surprise, there is no expiration date, no nutrition facts, no ingredients listed, which is simply strange in my opinion for any packaged, prepared product, especially a sauce. Overall, I would go again just because of how good the OJ Donair wrap was, but it's a shame the overall experience differs much from the food itself.

Google
Beat Donairs in Halifax consistently serves the best donair meat I’ve had. The quality and taste are unmatched, and it’s always my go-to place whenever I’m back home. One thing that really stands out is their donair egg rolls—they use actual sliced donair meat, which sets them apart from many competitors. Highly recommend for anyone looking for an authentic donair experience.

Google
Was my first time having a Donair and whether it was the classic donair, donair sub, or donair pizza slice, it was all amazing. I could definitely see this being amazing drunken food, but even sober, this is great. Meat portions are great, and that sweet sauce is so addicting! I had a donair at another popular place but I liked this one better!!

Google
Donairs and garlic fingers are the best! The regular is huge! Great service - we got a white gumball for a free slice too! We didn’t try but they looked huge.

Google
Damn you Tony's. I'm going to be chasing this food experience for the rest of my life. There is no donair half this good from Montreal to Vancouver, and I've tried it all. I'm a huge donair fan. The staff wanted nothing to do with talking to me and didn't give a crap that I was excited about finally getting there to try it out. I blame Reddit for sending me.

Google
I was very disappointed with my order. I ordered through DoorDash. My driver delivered very quickly. I ordered the medium donair and it was TINY. The donair was very cold and the wrap was very soggy. On top of that it seemed like they didn’t season the donair meat, it was quite bland. I also ordered the garlic fingers, they arrived cold as well. As well, it seems as though the cheese didn’t cook enough and wasn’t quite melted. Looked like a 5 hour old garlic fingers. Overall, poor experience.

Yelp
World Famous since 1976. Sitting on the docks of the harbor Right next to the Maritime Museum You have to try a Donair eggrolls! They also have burgers hotdog appetizers and fancy fries. You can even get a slice of pizza. Perfect on a cool day to sit outside and enjoy good food and conversation.
google avatar

Michael R.

Yelp
Tried Donair eggrolls... IMHO overcooked and the cooking oil was probably past its prime--the meat inside was as crispy as the eggroll. A little dissapointing and pricey for what it was. Meh.
google avatar

Rachel M.

Yelp
Got delivery and order was prompt. Donair meat was shaved very thin in long strips and wrap bread was very soggy. Seasoning and sauce was good though and enjoyed the garlic fingers.
google avatar

Ryan R.

Yelp
Service was fantastic!! we had 2 large and 2 regular for 4 people. it was sweet and spicy it was so delicious we got some to go for airport
google avatar

Yelp
My Maritime friends keep telling me to get a donair in Halifax when I get there, so we went for the recommended choice in the town; Tony's. And so we did. Service was efficient, but the staff seemed more fixated on the Stanley Cup Final going on. My order was the medium FAMOUS donair; they seem to make a big deal out of it. It was the right size for me, and it was overall creamy, savoury, and spicy. Not dry like I was somehow expecting. The only donair I had was in Ottawa, and this definitely seemed to be a step up. The inside was a cool diner atmosphere. There's a video on the tv showing the celebrities that visited, including Terry Fox who started his Marathon of Hope close to here. Even the menu tries to remind you it's FAMOUS, to the point of being a little obnoxious. So I thought the experience was fine overall. Didn't really live up to my expectations, but I'm still glad I made the pilgrimage.

Yelp
Definitely worth trying. It's good and the price is decent. I had a medium regular donair, it was absolutely filled with meat which I was happy with. However, the pita was too small for the amount of meat, so it wouldn't close and stuff kept on falling out. The meat tasted good but wasn't very well seasoned. The sauce was okay, a bit of spice which I like. The tomatoes and onions were just piled in the middle on the bottom. Again, it's definitely worth trying, but don't expect it to be the best donair you've ever had.

Yelp
Hubs and I tried Tony's Donair for a late night bite after the Citadel tour by dark when in Halifax last month. It was an entertaining vibe from the moment we walked in. One staff member bantering and jabbing the others over disagreements on what to watch on the TV. They had another TV playing a loop of celebrities and Canadian icons (like Terry Fox) that had visited the donair and pizza shop over the years. I asked buddy behind the counter for recommendations of what's good as we are out of towners and what he liked best in the restaurant. Unfortunately, he didn't have any suggestions and was like, Meh - I don't really like anything here that much. We opted for a donair since we were in the home of donairs and a garlic cheese bread that ended up not being what I thought - It was literally a baguette of bread with garlic and cheese melted inside. I thought I was ordering the one in the picture more like garlic cheese bread fingers but you live and learn. The donair was MEAT heavy - not like the donairs I'm used to out west with tomatoes and lettuce and other toppings thrown in. I asked for hot sauce to be added and the server thought I was crazy, lol. If you've never tried hot sauce in a donair, DO IT. I can't say I would come here again. It was good to try and a total Canadian landmark location but there are other dives I'd like to try if in the area again.

Yelp
Well decent good pizza at lunch for a very low price for a pizza slice which is very large and a pop altough the pizza is quiet good its not groundbreaking altough it is convient and easy making it worth going to check out

George's M.

Yelp
We were told this was the best 'Halifax Donair' place in town and decided to try it. This was our first Halifax Donair experience and we had no baseline to compare it to. The donair was quite enjoyable with a generous portion given when ordering the medium size. Staff were friendly and accommodating. A short walk from the Citadel and a great place for lunch if visiting the Citadel. This is fast food and when comparing to other fast food options this place is a must try. I would recommend asking for a plate as the pita is stuffed and the sauce is quite very runny.

Yelp
If you want to pick onions off the pizza, you waited an hour for, despite the only instruction being: "No onions", you surely won't be disappointed :)

Yelp
I had heard of Tony's Donair before we ever went to Halifax. Don't know exactly where I heard the name, but we happened to stumbled across their little corner shop while wondering the streets of Halifax. We ordered their cheese bread and a beef donair. They both were quite good but neither of them blew my mind. I like that they had a little video playing on the TV that name-dropped several celebrities who had come through the doors. People from NHL players, the Trailer Park Boys and musicians like Sarah McLachlan and Rod Stewart have all partaken in Tony's Donair. I must admit that I got a huge kick out of the fellow who took our order who was loud and obnoxious (only towards his collegues) in arguing that European Football was better than American Football. It was like a straight-up comedy routine. Good entertainment for a late evening bite. While I have had better donairs (don't get me wrong - Tony's were good), I didn't quite get what all the hype was about, with locals saying that Tony's was the best they ever had. At this moment in time, I beg to differ. I would love for someday to go back and be proven wrong.

Yelp
The food is okay but it is NOT, I SAY NOT, worth the customer service experience. I walked in and ordered a burger at 12:30am, it took them 30 minutes to get me my 20 dollar sandwich because they're so focused on uber orders. Sad. hope this place burns down.

Yelp
It's been about 30 years since I last tasted the wares of this neighborhood icon. Was stumped what to do for dinner so got a couple of orders of donair poutine. PHE-NOMNOMNOM-ENAL. The meat was great with just the right level of spice, the fries were just the right balance of crisp and moist, the cheese was more shredded than curds but nice. Will definitely be back to try more of the menu.

Yelp
On my visit to Halifax earlier this year, I was introduced to something called the "donair", it's like a shwarama meat (made of beef) but served with some sweet creamy garlic sauce. It can be served as a wrap with onions and tomatoes, or on pizza! The flavours were incredible - good amount of spice in the meat, I especially liked the pizza, it had a good amount of cheese and donair sauce, one of the most unique pizzas I've had! The wrap is good too, but I felt it had too much sauce so it was a bit messy to eat. Definitely would try again next time I'm in Halifax!

Yelp
This is for the donair only. Proper spice level, not drowning in sauce. Meat well cooked. Tony's is bomb!

Yelp
Tony's used to be my roommate's go-to for late night donairs, but since those experiences were from years ago and *ahem* a little blurry, I'll stick to more recent encounters. Recently I had the opportunity to put in the food order for a meeting for work so I chose Tony's and got a few different pizzas, including their donair and works. Don't worry, this was an evening meeting, so we didn't have to worry about the donair weighing us down in the afternoon. We ordered well ahead of time and the pizzas came right when we requested. The donair pizzas had a thick layer of meat, and was fairly moist and had a good donair flavour to it. A generous layer of cheese, onion and tomato on top completed the donair experience, as well as a generous dollop of their thick donair sauce. The crust wasn't bad, but was nothing to write home about, although any delivery pizza tends to be that way. The works came with pepperoni, sausage, onion, mushroom and green pepper. The meats had just the right amount of salt and savoury goodness, and the veggies were fresh and added a nice pop of flavour to each slice. No re-inventing of the wheel here, but a solid entry. As I just live a few blocks away, I occasionally stop by for a slice of the works, and it's a dependable piece of 'za. Tony's is a good choice if you're looking for a good pie, and I'll get back to you when I finally have one of their donairs again. That is, if I'm in a condition to do so.
google avatar

Stuart W.

Yelp
I went in and got a small donair with the works to go. When I got home it was just dry donair meat in a pita. Recommend you check your food before leaving if you're doing pick up.
google avatar

Jazmine J.

Yelp
Never again ordered from tony's it's not the same owners at all. Usually when you get a donair it's greasy. This isn't at all, it's not the same meet texture as other places you to to get donairs. The sauce is way to think and doesn't taste right. Honestly don't reccemond tony's to anyone if you're looking for a donair it's a waste of money
google avatar

Fern H.

Yelp
We couldn't visit Halifax without a pitstop into Tony's to try a local delicacy - the donair! We ordered a medium donair ($8.95) to split as a pre-dinner snack and it really hit the spot. Loaded with thin slices of meat, tomatoes and onions in a pita, we had to eat the first few bites with a knife and fork so that it didn't explode in our face. And there's just something about the donair sauce that made it so very satisfying - a bit sweet, a little spice and a lot delicious! I'm sure President's Choice will be packaging it soon and calling it "Memories of Halifax".
google avatar

Adrian J.

Yelp
If you've heard about donair and pizza after a night on the town in Halifax, Tony's is a must! Best authentic Halifax-style donairs and pizza in the city. Their subs (also Halifax-style) are unreal. Quick delivery. For our Men and Women + in uniform. They know their way around Stad.
google avatar

Richard T.

Yelp
Really good donair - thinly sliced meat and. It too much donair sauce! The meat was fresh and was nicely spiced - it has a bit more of a kick to it than others. Ordered the large donair - it can feed two people. Weighed it and it was over a pound!!! Not very busy when went but it was the middle of winter.

Brittany M.

Yelp
Really disappointed in my order this evening. I previously had Tony's at a friend's place who lives across from the shop, it was wonderful. We had the most amazing BBQ chicken pizza and I've been wanting it ever since. Well, since we're in lockdown, it's good to support small business so I decided to order from Tony's and get my BBQ chicken pizza. But my Pizza tonight wasn't good...There was hardly any BBQ sauce on this at all, not like the lovely BBQ sauce drizzle and BBQ style sauce on bottom I had originally... I came home and added more chicken and BBQ sauce to it to make it somewhat resemble a BBQ pizza. I also asked for a regular Donair with the works, but it was dripping in grease, no toppings were on the top, but rather the bottom and the sauce/grease soaked the pita and onion/tomato mixture completely. If you're ordering: be very clear with what you want. Was looking for the great experience I had at Tony's previously. I know they've been highly rated before, but maybe you just need to be super specific with your order specifications.

Alexandra M.

Yelp
I placed an order for 6 donair egg rolls on Uber eats. It said they come with tomatoes, onions and donair sauce. I placed the order before before 9:30pm. On the app it said it would be here between 9:45-10:15. I didn't get my food until 10:40 and not only were there no tomatoes and onions but it was very greasy and cold, over all super unimpressed with the service and quality, won't be reordering.
google avatar

Doug R.

Yelp
Went to buy a donair at 12:10am. The sign said they were open until 3:00 am.! They were closed. I can see the store front from my hotel room and they are still closed. No sign of explanation. Yelp indicates they are open now too. When a business posts hours of operation they must follow the hours posted for customer convenience and continuity. It's not good business practice to close 3 hours early. Heard the food was good but I'll never know.

Craig L.

Yelp
Surpasses all expectations! Best Donair I ever had. Ordered the large Tony's famous Donair. Beyond any Donair I've ever had. Thank you Tony, for setting the bar!
google avatar

Drew W.

Yelp
Meh.... nothing to really write about nor complain about. Tony's been a staple from my childhood having spent many lunches here while in High School. Seemed better back then, they use to have arcade games and the staff were more personable. Now.... its more like pay and leave.
google avatar

Cole B.

Yelp
Love this place! Always get the medium donair pizza... huge za! 10 bucks. However... the deal has ended and to my surprise my medium donair was not as big and double the price (20.00). I still love the pizza however the price point makes it less appealing now. **everything is delicious :)
google avatar

cheryl d.

Yelp
Boy was this a hot stop at 2am! Normally packed to the rim with people coming from a wild night after our local night clubs closed. Always on the way home stopping for one of Tony's famous donairs was the thing to do. Great Donairs great portions always enough to save for the next morning. To me I was not fan of the pizza but the Donair meat was always nice and spicy. The Sauce as well was not sweet like some are it was just right.
google avatar

Del S.

Yelp
Tony's Donair on Cunard St has really gone downhill. You used to be able to get a Greek salad and donair pita for 7.95 or something and they were a good size. Now they are ten bucks and half the size. Half the meat, old lettuce and didn't even put the English cukes on. Grrrrrr! Been going there since 2005 but the past two years the quality and quantity has REALLY gone downhill. It's so bad I am compelled to write this. My purchase was made on March 2, 2018. Was two Greek salad and donair pita's. A friend of mine who used to go to Tony's with me but doesn't any more for the same reasons suggested Mezza's after seeing my post on Facebook about this. Mezza was two bucks cheaper for the exact same order and vastly superior in quantity and quality. I used to work around the corner and ate here once a week. I will never buy from them again. Too many bad experiences as of the past 2 or 3 years. Before this incident my donair sauce was sour.
google avatar

Ashley C.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I are big fans of donairs so we decided to give Tony's a try. We ordered two regular donairs and a 9" garlic The donairs seemed much smaller compared to other places and the meat was lacking the normal donair spice kick that donairs in halifax are famous for. Service was quick and had no issues with our order. So overall, it was just average for us.
google avatar

Ashley E.

Yelp
Love it. Absolute must have ... more than once Would buy a ton if I could fit it in my freezer Best donair i have ever had in 30 years
google avatar

Edward F.

Yelp
I go to Tony's about once per month the last 5 years and I'm always very, very satisfied with the food, staff and speed getting my orders! I usually get a medium pizza with works and extra cheese or a small Donair, also like the toasted subs, much love for Tony's!!!

David M.

Yelp
Bought one large and one regular Donair yesterday and was very disappointed. The pita bread was nothing but a wet slimy mess
google avatar

Stephen P.

Yelp
Best Donair I've ever had, and I have eaten more than my fair share! these things are huge, Quality is Fantastic. I live in another province, but every time I, or anybody I know is in Halifax, I get them to pick me up a couple.
google avatar

Bill M.

Yelp
This place is not what it used to be. Pizza crusts are brought in pre-made,not fresh like before. Toppings are minimal at best. Save yourself the disappointment and find another place. Halifax has a ton of them, many I'm sure are a lot better. RIP to the old Tony's.
google avatar

Sarah H.

Yelp
So I had to work late one night, and work was buying me dinner. I decided on pizza, and was told to try Tony's for their donairs. I don't like donairs, but I thought I would still give their pizza a go. I ordered (for a colleague and myself) a medium Hawaiian pizza and garlic fingers. I was not impressed. I found that there was very little sauce, next to no toppings (I actually had two pieces that had no pineapple on them), and little flavor to the dough when it came to the pizza. The garlic fingers were dry and not that cheesy. I asked for garlic dipping sauce, as the deal was supposed to come with two sauces. They only delivered one. I cannot say I will be ordering from here again.
google avatar

Laura P.

Yelp
A friend of mine used to live adjacent to Tony's, and with the place always within sight, I accumulated a series of great reviews. Of course it stuck in my memory box for pizza fixes, and eventually I would have to take on the quest myself. The time did come, and I was expecting good things. The shop itself seems pretty old school with no-fluff service but a spectrum of quick pizza treats. I ordered a veggie by the slice, which cost me around $6. Results? It was ok. Warm, good amount of cheese, but lacking on the veggie variety and not top dollar crust. I suppose these sorts of places are more about convenience and what type of 'zza your into (A lot of quick stops tend to put more into meat pizzas) ... so I can't really be too upset. I'm not into donairs, so will not be giving that a go. People love Tony's but I can't see myself coming back unless I'm in the neighbourhood at 2am with the hankering for grease.

Yelp
I'm attempting to eat as many donairs as possibly while in Halifax without having a heart attack. At my dad's recommendation this was the first place on my tour de donair. At 10PM on a Thursday evening I had a mighty fine donair. These guys appear to be donair veterans, they even have a special meat cutter that I`ve never seen before. It cut all the pieces into completely even thin slices. The guy making my donair made it in record time. It was pretty reasonably priced, I think it was $7ish for a regular. The meat was seasoned very nicely. My dad, the donair expert, said it was up to his high standards. They gave me generous amounts of onions and tomatoes which I like, and they added a ton of sauce which is also awesome. The sauce was quite sweet which I like. They didn`t add THAT much meat to it and I was able to eat it easily. I can`t really figure out if that`s good or not. Something I have to give them credit for: they added a layer of plastic before the tin foil layer so it wasn`t so ridiculously messy, great idea! They were making a shawarma when I was in, and I go to school in Ottawa which pretty much has more shawarma places than the entire Middle East, so I can confirm the shawarma looked awesome.

Yelp
I have been eating Donairs and Pizza from Tony's for years, the food and service have always been top notch. I am currently visiting Halifax for the first time in 3 years as I now live in London, Ontario. Today( 23 July 17) I went to the Robie location and was given absolutely the most ignorant service from a man with glasses and a goatee beard. The donairs were excellent as usual but I was also looking for a Falafel for my vegetarian GF. Was abruptly told no Falafel with no other suggestions or any level of courtesy. This really ruined my experience, if I owned the business this man would be terminated immediately.

Yelp
Saw Tony's flyer in our hotel book, ordered the 25$ combo and charged 33$+tax.. they said prices went up. Very disappointed with this, very expensive. Pizza was ok but garlic finger had no taste. Will not recommend and will not be back

Yelp
Tony's was a pit stop on the way home from our night out on the weekends. It was always crowed. Tony was a great guy. Always smiling, got to know everyone, as much as thousands of faces through the week , one can do. But it got so bad , he knew our orders. We never really went for the pizza, we always went for the donairs. It is hard to believe that Halifax can consume so much donair meat, but we manage. lol We did not eat in too much, the tables were always full , or full of really happy people, loud, I think they were coming from downtown as well. No, ours were usually takeout. So if you are looking for a donair fix, happy eating.

Aaron B.

Yelp
What's the deal with this place? Named "best Donair in Halifax". I show up on a Friday at noon and there's one lonely guy working behind the counter. Pizza "warmer" is empty save for one slice (wondering when this was made) the lamb spit is bare. Other shelves are empty. The place looks terrible. Two guys in front of me order something and the guy takes off for 10 minutes before taking my order. After ordering a Donair I wait another 10 minutes until I get mine. I don't blame the guy.... he's the only one working there. Though he could probably drum up an apology for the wait and at least provide friendly service. He does neither. The Donair itself? Fine. Not enough sauce. Fairly substantial amount of meat.... tho again I didn't see him slice any off the spit so exactly when was it made? Maybe this is a place you stumble into at 2 am for some cheap (hopefully quicker eats). So I probably just ate last nights leftovers. Great.

Yelp
Tonys is what all donairs must compare to! Been eating here for at least 20yrs and have never been disappointed ... ever! Last night I picked up 4 d-bombs for me & the ladies and it was the first time all night there was pure silence. When we all looked up all the plates were empty. The meat is always crispy, which is what I look for cause who wants soft mushy meat? Tonys is consistent & the reason I keep coming back year after year! Now all I need is for them to deliver to the Larry uteck area! We will pay extra for u to deliver your wonderful delights! If you didn't pick up on it yet, Tonys is where its at for donairs.

Yelp
Love their food, love their drivers, love their staff, everyone's nice and great location - super convenient for me, Yay Tony's
google avatar

Jacqueline N.

Yelp
Last night, I got off work and all I could think about was a donair. Sometimes you just need one right? Well I live around the corner from Tony's and had never tried their donairs....Glad I made the trip! They were quick and friendly, the donair was also very well wrapped and held together, which meant I could easily eat it without everything falling out and making me covered in donair sauce ( I mean it's not the worst thing, but always a plus when you can avoid it) The meat was spicy but not overly. The perfect balance of the spice with the meat and the sweet of the donair sauce! I would definitely recommend Tony's for your next donair craving! Now that I am writing this, I think I want another....

Yelp
I've only eaten Tony's food a few times and all in the past few years. I was really surprised to find out that this pizza place has been around for 25 years. My uncle who attended his undergrad in Halifax, claims that the pizza still tastes the same now as it did back then (which might not be a good thing). I've ordered delivery from Tony's a few times and usually it arrives at my door on time and hot. Usually. It seems like Tony's is the only delivery place in this city that doesn't listen when I tell them how to get to my apartment. It's an outside walk-up and the delivery people will go to my downstairs neighbours and once even gave them my order (still not sure how they didn't realize the mistake) and left me waiting for my food for a while. The debit at the door option is convenient (if they can find your door that is) and so is picking up a slice from Tony's if you're in the neighbouring area. It's not the best tasting pizza in the world, but it's cheap.

Yelp
Tony's probably gets the bulk of their business after midnight on weekends because it's perfectly positioned (geographically speaking) to cash in on those inevitable food cravings that hit as the downtown crowd makes its way home from the bars. If you've ever craved a donair - and if you've ever had too much beer in Halifax, it's just inevitable - Tony's is a good spot to fill that craving. The boys are friendly and fast, and the donair is just perfectly donair-y. Mystery meat, sauce, tomatoes and onions on pita. Mmmm. Just don't try one when you're sober; you might begin to wonder what you're actually eating, and it's probably better to just not know. Their pre-made pizza slices on the chewy and doughy side, but may still seem delightful at 2am.

Yelp
Tony's is a frequent stop for me on Tuesday nights post Charlies Social Club. Everybody loves a decent slice of pizza after a few drinks and, luckily, Tony's offers a decent slice of pizza after a few drinks! Usually there is not much of a crowd when I'm in this place, which means fast service and, if you're lucky, a fairly fresh slice of pizza. Because it's by-the-slice you're more or less confined to what they have, which means you might end up with a piece that has been around for a while and a piece fresh out of the oven. It's all really a crap shoot and I wish you the best of luck with it. I have been told Tony's has a really solid Donair. I don't eat Donairs, but I thought I should pass that information along from reliable sources!
