Vancouver I went on a business trip. I visited because my friend recommended it. The COD was fresh and the Cram Chowder was good. It's just a tourist destination, so you have to take into account that it's expensive

After getting ripped off at other oysters bars this place did not do that. Great food and great prices. Everything here was great. Deffinetly coming back fot more.

Right in Grandville Island! The service was was friendly and quick and the food was great. They stuff quite a few tables in the small space, and they fill up often. Grab a table and enjoy the seafood!

My wife and I had the pleasure of dining at Tony’s Fish & Oyster Cafe while visiting Granville Island. We were actually heading to a different place for fish and chips when we went by Tony’s and noticed a sign advertising a lunch special for fish and chips, with coleslaw, tartar sauce and clam chowder. The New England style chowder was very creamy and tasty with an ample serving of clams mixed in with potato and other vegetables. The coleslaw was so fresh, crisp and tasty we got an extra order. The large piece of cod (we each order the one piece of cod and chips) was cooked to perfection; the batter was light and not too greasy, the fish very tender. The chips were crisp and, again, not too greasy. The server, Quinn, was cheery and exceptionally friendly. The cafe is small inside but very pleasant. The dine in experience was very well received. Apparently the cafe also provides a take out service. There are other fish and chip restaurants in the area, and we have tried several of them. Tony’s Fish & Oyster Cafe, on this particular day, was by far the best in the area that we have tried.

My husband and I really enjoyed our lunch. Clam chowder was really good. Definitely coming back when we visit Granville Island.

Google
Enjoyed lunch here with my wife and son. The halibut fish in the fish and chips was tasty and tender. The oysters were so good and fresh! The service was friendly and fast. The place fills up quite quickly and had a line up at the door for most of lunch service. Recommend trying if you are visiting Granville Island!

Google
Oh my gosh! So delicious! The best clam chowder I’ve ever eaten and the cod in the fish and chips was so flaky and tasty. We went shortly after it opened on a rainy Sunday and it quickly filled up. It’s not a large space, but not overly crowded either. The server was super friendly and the food served quickly. We weren’t even done our soup and our fish and chips arrived, which was perfect, because it allowed time for the fish to cool to an eatable temperature.

Google
Small portions for the price you pay, but I guess since it’s located at the entrance of Granville Island, tourists are willing to pay a premium for some fresh local seafood. We ordered the seafood platter and an extra fish which was expensive for the portion. Some of the seafood were heavily breaded and overcooked. The breaded oyster also tasted off. The usual coleslaw was basically just chopped lettuce. Their sauces also came in slightly bigger than usual paper containers that you normally get at fast food joints. Was disappointing having this seafood platter compared to what we had in the east coast. Being near the sea as well, we kind of expected better and fresher seafood.

Yelp
Awesome meal here. Limited number of seats but didn't have to wait too long. Shared a couple lunch specials and clams, and were quite satisfied for 3 adults and one 8 year old. The clam chowder was amazing. I wanted 10 more bowls of it. Honestly, I don't remember having a better clam chowder, ever. Top notch! Cod fish was delicious as was the slaw. Fries were just okay, that's really the only knock. We still ate them but if those were anywhere like the fish and chowder this place would be perfect. Great meal, would dine again!

Yelp
We ordered the seafood platter for two and the clam chowder. The service was very good as the women who was helping us was super polite. It is well decorated making it a nice place to eat. The clam chowder was good but I was not impressed with the calamari as I thought it was kinda rubbery. Everything else on the plate was good but over priced for the amount on the plate. In the picture showed 3 pieces of cod and only got 2. Also a lot more fries than expected. If you are in the area and looking for seafood I would give it a try but I have had better fish before.
google avatar

Yelp
The clam chowder did not disappoint. We also shared the Tiger Prawns. I think Tony's has been a staple in the area for a good while. Plan on a wait during peak times.

Yelp
We stopped in here for lunch while at Granville Market. We were seated right away and our server was very efficient and quick. We tried the clam chowder which had a nice peppery flavor. The fried cod was fresh and flaky and went well with the tarter sauce and coleslaw. The fries were warm and crispy. Check it out for a nice easy meal!

Yelp
We stopped in to grab a bite before heading back after a full day at the market and it was completely packed. It is a small place, with about 20 seats capacity but it was jammed. We waited at the stool tables, the staff took our order for beverages until a table opened up. The Granville Island Ale was pretty good. The menu was not extensive but had a good selection of seafood options. I ordered the Tiger Prawn Platter with fries and coleslaw. The food was good, shrimp slightly over cooked and overpriced but I enjoyed my plate.

Yelp
We stopped by Tony's Fish & Oyster Cafe for a quick and simple dinner before heading to The Improv Centre on Granville Island. My husbandand I shared a Breaded Oyster Platter for our dinner. The oysters were plump, crispy, hot and delish! This restaurant is right next door to The Improv Centre so it's an excellent choice for dinner if you've got a show to go to afterwards! Service: Good Parking: Paid parking on Granville Island Location: 1511 Anderson St., Vancouver, BC

Yelp
The food was amazing. The oysters were super fresh and so delicious overall the seafood platter including clam chowder was amazingly good. My husband and I will definitely visit Tony's. The service is excellent and our waitress went above and beyond our expectations! I recommend this place if you are visiting the area!

Yelp
Great location. Place was very clean. Staff was friendly and courteous. Hot chocolate was just water thumbs down!!. Fish and chips was amazing and delicious.

Yelp
Stopped in to Tony's for lunch. It is located just as you enter Granville Island (after crossing the bridge) and next to Vancouver Fish Company. It has limited seating but we were seated after a short wait during the busy lunchtime hour. Hats off to the waitress for balancing seating everyone and serving the patrons, she was fantastic and attentive! We had the cod fish and chips lunch special and fried calamari. Both were delicious as we like the light flaky coating for the calamari and the thicker crispier coating for the cod. The clam chowder was amazing! Food came out quickly despite a busy crowd and they do take out orders as well. Simple but clean space with a colorful mural of their oceanic menu items. Would definitely recommend stopping in for lunch if in the Granville Island area!

Yelp
It was a super cute restaurant but we just wanted to have fish so we got a bowl of mussels and shared between 4 of us. They were done in a white wine sauce with tomato and onion- so good!

Yelp
My partner suggested this spot after reading some reviews online, it's a small family friendly joint! The restaurant gets quite busy during lunch, I would suggest plan accordingly and come after the lunch rush. The restaurant holds about 20 people or less, the ambiance is that of a fish spot with seafood art on the walls. Since this was our first stop in Granville Island and wanted to try and see everything, we decided to share the clam chowder and the infamous fish and Chips! Great customer service, daughter was our server, mother washing dishes very humble people. If you are in a hurry, I wouldn't suggest coming here, everything is made fresh to order so it'll take a min. The food was hot and absolutely delicious, one of the best fish and chips around!

Yelp
This little fish and chips place is in Granville Market. Expect the $$ pricing. The place is small and gets packed very quickly! Service is fast and efficient. Are the fish and chips the best? They are ok. Nothing special. Basically fast food cooking and too much breading and oil with no flavoring. They are making it as you order so it's quick and easy dip fry. Clam chowder in a tiny small cup is loaded with pepper that is almost $6! Tourist and visitors will think this place is a little bit cheaper than inside the public market but no. A little overpriced for fish and chips and seafood but again it is in Granville Market.

Yelp
It was the best clam chowder I've ever had service is really good and the ambience was awesome. It's perfect for families.

Yelp
We planned our visit to the Granville market strategically so that we could pick a spot for lunch and get there before the crowds. Today we picked this restaurant initially because of the fish & chips, walked in around noon and was seated right away because a table cleared just in time. The restaurant was already full. We ordered the fish (cod) & chips w/clam chowder lunch special. The fish was fresh and moist, and the batter was very crispy. We also ordered a Caesar salad, mussels, and 1/2 dozen oysters (royal miyagi). Soup and salad were good, but the mussels and oysters were great! Super fresh, plump, and so delicious! This was one of the best lunches we've had in Vancouver in a long while. Great experience here and highly recommend everything we ordered.

Joe T.

Yelp
The service from the host is superb, she's warm and pleasant. The decor and ambiance is what you would get in any seaside seafood establishment, familiar and comfortable. Unfortunately our dishes weren't up to the same standard, we ordered the fried clams and seared scallops entrees and shared. The scallops had good flavor, but were cooked about three times as long as they should have been and were left in far too much butter. The clams were not quite as overcooked and also had good flavor. The fries need help, guessing the oil is about half as hot as it should be, leaving them limp and soggy. If we go back we'll try the chowder since folks are giving it better reviews. I'd be fine with the price of the food we're executed better.

Yelp
We stopped in for lunch here. It was so busy that there was a line out the door. We postponed our visit until a little bit later and were able to get a table for two. It's a very very small restaurant and moving around was difficult. Our server was very nice and we appreciated that. My wife ordered the daily special which was one piece of cod, french fries and a bowl of clam chowder. I had two piece salmon fish and chips, which also came with coleslaw. I thought my fish was wonderful. It was lightly battered and piping hot. My wife, thought her cod was also very good. But she really loved the chowder.
google avatar

Yelp
Great fish and chips, the clam chowder was good as well and the server was nice and friendly.

Yelp
A very solid food option in Granville Island, their Fish & Chips don't disappoint. The Cod is really crispy yet cooked to perfection on the inside. The fries do not feel too greasy, and feel more like a hearty complement than a guilty pleasure. I would have liked some better garnishing, I think the coleslaw could have been better. But overall I enjoyed it. Also, the clam chowder was great but nothing mind-blowing.

Yelp
Fantastic Halibut and chips. Waitress was super nice. Glad we went there. Would go back for sure.

Yelp
A decent place for fish and chips. Prices are fair for Granville Island. I am really not much of a fish and chips fan as everything is fried and sometimes it is more batter than fish. I was going to give this place a miss until I saw the lunch special. Fish and chips with clam chowder for $15? I was hooked. The clam chowder was alright, quite mild tasting. Certainly not the best I had but it did taste very homely. It came with a small slice of bread, no crackers. The fish and chips was ok. I liked the huge piece of cod. Lightly battered. It was not crispy by the time I walked over to the waterfront area to eat it. Guessed the box steamed it up. Luckily it was not soggy either. The tartar sauce was nice, almost like mayo. I dipped the fries in it too. The chips were coarsest chopped. I preferred the ends and bits which were crispier. Slaw was good too. Hit this place up if you are looking for decent fish and chips at a good price in Granville Island.

Yelp
We love seafood, Tony's fish and oyster café is our favorite spot. Their fish and chips, Mussels, Calamari are so tasty and good. Highly recommend this spot. The price is so reasonable. They are following COVID 19 restrictions.
google avatar

Yelp
Small place. Great service. We split the two piece salmon fish and chips. Plenty to share. Not too much batter which was nice. I was impressed by the coleslaw. I don't usually like it, but this was good not vinegary or mayonnaisey. Tasted more like a cabbage salad
google avatar

Melody M.

Yelp
This little seafood cafe has been here at Granville Island for years and years. The price is always reasonable and the seafood is super tasty. I like that the fish is plump. They also have a lunch special. Due to Covid, there are only three tables inside. However, you can order it to go which is what a lot of people are doing. There are lots of spots around Granville Island to have a little picnic with your fish and chips :)
google avatar

Yelp
Outstanding hole-in-the-wall fish joint...great for a quick lunch. My mussels were outstanding and my wife's lunch-special cod and chips were perfect.
google avatar

Yelp
Was highly suggested this place by my guidebook and I'm always down for fish and chips. They are already a small place so with covid measures they only have 3 tables inside and no plexiglass but they are spaced out enough. The waitress wore a mask the whole time and guests with take out orders are asked to wait outside to order and receive their food. I got the lunch special for dinner which is their classic cod fish and chips and a bowl of chowder. As long as they have soup left, you can get the lunch special! I loved the food, it was so good. Filling and warm and homey. It would've been the best fish and chips during my trip but Victoria holds that record! My waitress was so nice. She chatted with my about the menu for a bit and refilled my water bottle. Service is super fast here.

Yelp
Really good fish and chips on Granville Island. Got takeaway and went by the sea wall to eat it with a view and it tasted soooo good!!! I got the 1piece salmon fish and chips and it was delicious. Fries are good and all the dressings were great. Highly recommend this spot if you are nearby. They are also following all guidelines for COVID 19 extremely well.
google avatar

Yelp
Popped in for a sunny sunday takeaway and was not disappointed! Nice benches to wait while your order was made, and quick friendly service. I had the butterfly prawns, they were crispy and delicious, with a nice hint of spice cocktail sauce. My partner had the two piece salmon and chips, phew generous portions! Could've done with one piece next time ;) Even the slaw was crunchy and not over dressed. They wrap up with take away utensils in napkins with salt and pepper, vinegar and ketchup very cute and shows a lot of effort. Unfortantely most of the batter came off the salmon when you used your fork (no knives provided) which is too bad, but it was still tasty all "deconstructed" I'll come try it again, those scallops were calling my name ;)

Yelp
Walking around Granville island with my boys worked up our appetite. We really wanted some fish and chips and we headed here right after they opened. The place itself is tiny. So be ready to be up, close and personal to the other patrons. There was only one waitress/ cashier and she was hustling. The place gets crowded quickly, maybe because the prices are way better than the other places nearby. Food was delivered in good timing. I ordered the fish and chips and my son ordered the seafood soup. He loved it. Ok to try if you're on a time budget. They're fast taking your order and delivering your food ( you're seating almost right next to the kitchen), but if you're looking for a calm, take your time eating and enjoying each flavor kinda place, this is probably not the ideal spot.

Yelp
Tourists from LA. First time here at Tony's but had a very bad experience. First thing we did as soon as we got to Vancouver was to go to this place as we were starving (and tired) and this place supposedly had a lot of good food reviews. The restaurant is small and only have a few tables available. We got to the restaurant around 6:25 PM (they close at 7), so they didn't let us sit down and get a table. We were given an option get our food to-go or leave. Since this restaurant was on my list to try then we just had to try it and ordered for to-go. We ate in our rental car uncomfortably and didn't get to enjoy our food. The fries were dry and have no flavor. There were a lot of sauce packets but since we were eating in the car it was really impossible to season our food. The burgers were falling all over the place. It was a mess. It probably would be a different story if were given a table at the restaurant and had a proper sit down meal. It only took us less than 10 minutes to eat. If were were given a table at 6:30, we would definitely be out by 7. Very disappointed.

Yelp
We stopped to have their lunch special: fish and chips with tartar, clam chowder and coleslaw for $13.99. Waiting: My friend and I were waiting about 20 min and when we got seated, it's already passed lunch time. But server accepted our request for lunch special. That was good. I feel bad to her actually. It might not be her responsibility but why they have only one server on busy weekend lunch time with lots of tourists? It's tiny restaurant but they should have one more person. Waiting people jammed on sidewalk. Cod: big volume. Original tartar: very mild and kinda sweet. Love it. Vinegar on counter was also quite mild. Usually I don't use it much but really tasty here. Clam chowder: mmm way too much salt and pepper in it. And no flavor of clam. It was like just potato chowder unfortunately. Dunno if I want to come back. But surely good location to have quick lunch.

Yelp
This was an amazing place for seafood. We wanted an appetizer platter and it did NOT disappoint! The service was amazing (eve though they were busy) and it was the perfect combination of flavors, variety and quantity for 2!! Make this a stop!!

Yelp
This small restaurant is just off the entrance of Granville Island. We just beat the lunch rush and only waited 10 minutes for a seat. I ordered the lunch special, which was a bowl of clam chowder with a piece of cod and chips. I added a piece of cod as well. Everything was great and delicious. The service was a tad on the slow side but I will excuse that as there was only one waitress and one busboy.

Yelp
After a walk around Granville Island Market, four of us stumbled upon Tony's for lunch, enticed by all their Trip Advisor endorsements on the window. It's a small restaurant and at peak lunchtime, there was about at 20-minute wait, which we also took as a great sign. Most people there, including myself, ordered the lunch special: the fish and chips with one piece of cod, fries, a side of coleslaw and cup of clam chowder... all for just $12! Starting out, the chowder was creamy and peppery. Although you could taste the freshness from the clams, there wasn't much substance to the soup - needed more clams and potatoes. As for the fish, the breading was unfortunately more oily and thicker than I would have liked. For the price of $12, I'd still consider it a good deal, but the food quality was just alright. One person in our group ordered the pan-seared prawns entree - she thought the garlic butter sauce was delicious, but also overly greasy. The side of rice pilaf was swimming in the grease, making some of it inedible. Despite the constant crowds and that there was only one waitress managing all tables, service was relatively quick, so that was a plus! Maybe our expectations were too high based on our first impressions of the place, but we weren't as pleased with the food as we had anticipated.

Yelp
We wanted some oysters so we stumbled in here even though it was pretty empty. It was a solid choice. The oysters were super fresh. The fish and chips were also delicious. We opted for cod and the fish was chunky and hearty. The fries were just okay but the fish easily made up for it. The service was great. Our server kept note of our beers and empty water glasses. And soon, the place was packed! It's pretty small though so I don't recommend coming during peak times with a group larger than 6.

Yelp
Delicious fresh product. Customer service good. Reasonably priced. Favourites are seafood platter and salmon on garlic herb butter. Good location near entrance to Granville Island. 5/5

Yelp
Went to Tony's Fish & Oyster Cafe with my husband, he wanted to spend our day off at Granville Island. As soon we entered the restaurant, got a warm greeting. I have no complaints related to customer service, they are good at it. It was my second time there, I previously had been to this restaurant, in 2017. I had no complaints about the food and customer service. It was a great experience. We ordered the butterfly prawns to start and we both had fish and chips (I had halibut, he had cod) after the appetizer with pop (sprite and ginger ale). The food has a good price (around $56 with tips included for two) and the place is cozy. By the time we arrived at our house at night, we had abdominal cramps, body aches, headaches, nausea, fever, and chills. I woke up at 3 am with my husband having several chills. We both went to the hospital, our guess was food poisoning from eating there. On that day, this was our first meal, we only had black coffee at home. So it was impossible to feel that way for any other previous meal ingestion. We both had stomach flu. It was so hard to recover since we barely could eat anything. Everything was too heavy for my stomach. While recovering, my main meals were soup, crackers with jam, and water. I couldn't even drink coffee with milk. I called the restaurant with no return from the manager. Whoever picked up my call, barely could understand what I was trying to say. I had no return from anybody. So, I DO NOT recommend this place. Back in the days, I would've write a better review, but unfortunately, after being sick for several days, I cannot. There are plenty of options on the island to eat.

Yelp
If you are going to Granville Public Market this is a must. Small but cute restaurant located near entrance of the market near toy store. The staff was so nice and friendly. Great with recommendations for food and the market. Shared small cup of chowder and 2 piece fish and chips. Wow was it great. The chowder was buttery and creamy with great flavor. The cod pices were very large. Perfectly fried, not over battered and flaky. The tartar was ok but could use more dill or capers. Portions were great for sharing. Fried were classic chips hot and not soggy. I cant recommend this place enough!!
google avatar

Rebecca E.

Yelp
Right at Granville saw the sign for fish and chips so I decided to go inside. 12pm on a Friday and they were extremely busy with a line. Lunch special chowder, fish & chips $14.99. The portions were good sized for lunch. The clam chowder was very creamy and flavorful. The fish although greasy was super flaky and the tartar sauce really set it off. The chips weren't as greasy as the fish but were good also. The slaw wasn't super mayo ridden and went great with the rest of the meal. The other menu items were around the same price which they had burgers, chicken, salads, oysters and fish. The location was super busy due to it being one of the few restaurants outside of the market place. As someone who doesn't eat fish & chips often I enjoyed my meal and would definitely eat here again.
google avatar

Dan L.

Yelp
The cod was flaky, buttery, and tasted amazing! Had amazing service from the woman that was running the place and the food arrived fresh and fast. Tartar sauce was also very good and went great with the fish and chips.
google avatar

Amber B.

Yelp
Good prices, mediocre food. The fish and chips were a nice crispy texture but somewhat bland. The tartar sauce was subpar, as was the clam chowder. This is a cute, simple place on Granville Island. It's conveniently located but not worth going out of the way for.

Yelp
Came here today with my boyfriend after a loooong walk along the seawall. The place is nice and small. Tables can be very close together, which I didn't really like because the person next to you can literally hear exactly what you're talking about. The servers/workers here are very nice, very attentive. Always refilled our water without us needing to call someone down or ask someone. We both ordered the cod & chips. For an appetizer, we ordered the breaded oysters which were amazing!!! It comes with 4 pieces I think? Or 6 pieces, and it is deep fried. They're pretty big portions too for each piece. The cod & chips were soooo good!! Probably one of the best that I have had by far. Only thing, it can be a little on the oily side.. but that's the only downside to it. I will definitely be coming back to this place & I definitely recommend people coming to try it out!!! It's a nice, small & cute little place to go to whenever you're in Granville island and craving some fish & chips!
google avatar

Yelp
Definitely fits my definition of a "hole-in-the-wall". Not much to look at from the outside but these places are all about the food. I had a two piece cod and chips and a salad. The best part is that in this pandemic world, who cares about the ambience. Now more than ever it is all about the food and the good news is that Tony's is accepting take out orders and your food will be ready fast for pick up. During the pandemic I have been eating more at home but I never make fish and chips at home because I can't get my oil hot enough. I had a craving for fish and chips and Tony's hit the spot. "Pro tip": there are plenty of places to picnic on or near Granville Island so find a nice spot to eat the food while it has still hot. I found a nice spot on the grassy knoll overlooking False Creek and plenty of space for physical distancing.

Yelp
Excellent fish and chips lunch! The only problem (which wasn't even a problem) was I ordered halibut and received salmon but immediately she came over and told me they will make me the halibut so they actually gave me the salmon for FREE!! The hand cut fries were so good! Very friendly staff; this lady staff is the example of what customer service excellence should be and very good prices. Small and cozy place. Will be definitely coming back again and telling everyone.

Yelp
Overall, considering the quick service and convenience of finding a place while shopping as a tourist on Granville Island this is a nice place to stop by for a meal. However, for solely the food this would be a three star average restaurant. But again, I am NOT a big fan of Fish and Chips (I have only had them in certain locations) so only can talk about the Clam Chowder and Fried Calamari. We ordered a bowl of Clam Chowder and a Fried Calamari Platter (Calamari, fries, and cole slaw). The server voluntarily served the Chowder in 2 cups (instead of one bowl) knowing we were going to share. I thought that was super sweet! When I had the Clam Chowder, the strong pepper taste stood out the most that I asked myself: where is the seafood flavor? Certainly good on a cloudy snowy day regardless, but from someone who experienced eating Clam Chowder in the old Fishermans Wharf (back in the days!) in San Francisco I felt it wasn't what I expected. I was left with a Clam Chowder craving, which I pursed later during my trip! The fried calamari was exactly how I liked it- in little pieces! I liked their homemade sauces (cocktail and tartar) but the French fries and Cole slaw were nothing special. Again, not a bad place to be at all, just don't expect amazing food!

Yelp
The best Fish and Chips I've had. This is a small and cute restaurant two minutes away from the public market. When I first stepped in I was greeted by a friendly waiter and the whole way through until check out was flawless, the prices are affordable and the food is high quality! I would recommend this restaurant any day! Cod Fish and Chips $10.99 Clam Chowder $4.99 Make sure to come before 3 o'clock so the price of these two goes down to $13.99!

Cara A.

Yelp
We got the chowder for take out. There is a bit of a kick to the soup which wasn't expected but it tasted so good!!! Wished we stayed longer to try other dishes. Next time, we will be back for other yummy seafood dishes!

Yelp
Tony's Fish and Chips is right smack near the front of Granville Island so it's kinda hard not to miss. I came here late afternoon to get some delicious fish and chips while showing a friend around the island. Now, because of its location, this place is clearly a tourist hotspot but I thought since it got pretty decent reviews I would try it out. I unfortunately missed the $11.99 special for a single cod fish and chips and a clam chowder soup but I ended up ordering those items separately off the menu. The service wasn't too bad considering it was past 2pm but I didn't think the customer service was up to par for such a small restaurant as nobody really came to check up on us. On top of that, the food did take awhile to come. The fish and chips itself were okay, I felt that the fries were really dry and that the fish was oily but tasted pretty decent on the overall. The coleslaw was nothing special at all. The clam chowder soup was really really good but the portion was pretty small so I finished it really quickly. Overall, not a bad place, but if I had a choice I would probably go to Go Fish Emporium which I would say has better food, but you will need to wait over 45 minutes if it's a nice summer day because that's how busy it will be. If you're a tourist looking for something decent, go to Tony's if you like having a sit-in meal which is close by the rest of the attractions on the island.

Yelp
Classic style local fish and chips in a homey cozy atmosphere. The fish is fresh and delicate. The batter is a tad greasy, and maybe tough in the end bits. But that just gives it character, right? The fries are fat, squishy and with a slightly wrinkly tender skin. Just the kind you want to drench in malt vinegar and scoop into tartar sauce. The homemade tartar sauce is so good that I couldn't almost give this place 5 stars just on the merit of the sauce alone. My goodness, is that a fantastic recipe. I had an oyster burger, with three large crusted (not battered) deep-fried oysters in it. They were big enough that I pulled one out and ate it on its own. The oysters are downright delicious. The sandwich had chipotle mayo and a sweet BBQish sauce on it. I would have enjoyed it more if it had some of that life-changing tartar sauce and maybe a dash of tabasco. The BBQ was too sweet and overpowered the oyster. I think I'll ask for a modification next time. But trust me, I'll be back.

Yelp
After a hard day of shopping at the market, the missus and I have enjoyed lunch here. This review is a bit overdue. We had another trip in December and enjoyed a wonderful seafood lunch. It is really good and worth the wait if you have to. The missus has twice gotten fish and chips and really liked it. One time I got a seafood platter. My most recent trip I had the cioppino. Really good. Lots of different seafoods. They all taste fresh and complement one another. The tomato based broth has great flavor. It comes with a couple pieces of baguette. I would have like a few more, but no real issue there. The lady that runs the place is amazing. She's energetic and nice and service is really good. Looking forward to our next trip there!
