Where to Stay in Paris: The Best Affordable Hotels

"A Philippe Starck–designed skyscraper in the business district that caters to business travelers with sleek, surreal decor, a sky bar, panoramic city views, an open-air spa and jacuzzi, and an on-site restaurant featuring Surrealist design; rooms come with binoculars to gaze across the skyline. While conveniently adjacent to a metro station, the hotel is removed from many central tourist concentrations and trades immediate access to classic sights for dramatic high-altitude amenities." - Sophie Dodd Sophie Dodd Sophie Dodd is a travel, wine and lifestyle writer.  Travel + Leisure Editorial Guidelines

Too Hotel - MGallery (France, ) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"In almost every way, TOO Hotel departs from what you expect out of a Parisian lodging. It’s located not in the picturesque center but right on the edge of the city, across the road from Ivry-sur-Seine. And while Paris remains determinedly mid-rise, TOO Hotel’s elevation is unusual — it’s set atop Jean Nouvel’s Tours Duo skyscraper development, which explains why its views range all the way to the Eiffel Tower and beyond. The hotel’s interiors and artistic direction are by Philippe Starck, which means even aside from the setting it’s a memorable experience. A hip restaurant with panoramic views is joined by a roof terrace cocktail bar as well as a spa with a cedar sauna and an open-air Jacuzzi." - Tablet Hotels

Great property in a futuristic building, next to the tram stop and only 10 minutes walk from the nearest metro / train station. I could reach Eiffel Tower in about 40’ which is good in Paris. My room was nice, bright and comfortable and with a really appreciated Nespresso coffe machine. I could even spot Eiffel Tower from my bed. Breakfast is allright but it’s served at the Too Restaurant with a great view over the city. Check out also the rooftop bar for a drink, it’s really worth it! Thanks to miss Alix to organize my stay perfectly!

I stayed in room 2007, and this was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The air-conditioning was completely broken on the first night, and the room was extremely cold. I informed the front desk immediately, but the staff only said she would “check,” and then never followed up. We waited for a solution, fell asleep in the cold room, and had a terrible night with no proper rest. The next morning, we even left a note in the room asking for the issue to be fixed. However, when we returned that evening, the air-conditioning was still not working, with no update and no action taken. Because of this, I became sick, with fever symptoms, dizziness, and a runny nose — and this happened on my birthday, which completely ruined my day at Disneyland. Eventually, the hotel changed our room, but to a smaller room, and no staff helped us with our luggage, even though I was clearly unwell. The lack of communication, responsibility, and basic service was extremely disappointing. I believe the hotel should review their service standards, as this experience seriously affected my health and my trip.

Superb hotel. Room with terrace and views on the 23rd floor was amazing. Reception staff extremely helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Breakfast had excellent variety. Staff attentive. Roof top bar with excellent views too, great vibes and music. A little out from the centre but transport links and other amenities on your doorstep.

First Impression|The experience started with a warm welcome at the hotel reception, by a very friendly staff of Thai origin. Information about the stay was clearly communicated. In addition, our extra request was also fulfilled accordingly.||Room|We really liked the bay window with the view. The little touches such as the binoculars and mini dumbbells were great too. We also enjoyed the welcome drink at the TOO TacTac Sky Bar with the view of Eiffel Tower. ||Breakfast|Breakfast was delicious with healthy options of organic eggs and cereal coupled with great coffee.||Thank you for the pleasant stay!

The concept here should be great. The hotel is new and they are trying to be very trendy with the obligatory rooftop bar and terrace. There are sadly two main problems that mean I couldn't recommend it here. |Firstly there are no public areas apart from the trendy disco bar on the roof. During my stay it was closed for a private function so even if I had wanted to brave the bar, I couldn't. Thus meaning that I had to spend my time sitting in my room. I travel with my husband while he works one of his offices, I work remotely. There was nowhere to work in the room and so I had hoped to grab a coffee and sit in the hotel. Especially since it was nearly 40 degrees in Paris. |The staff were very nice and polite and helpful but sadly we won't be returning and really couldn't recommend this new venue. The So Hotel near to the Marais is a far better option although of course, prices reflect that. And the Mercure at Bercy Bibliotheque is also worth considering especially if the rooms with a terrace are available. The M Gallery Esquilier near the Grand Boulevards is probably the nicest combination of hotel and location being super near a vibrant area and an easy walk to most of the Paris sights and wonderful neighbourhood places to eat and drink.

The security deposit is more than the price per night of the hotel I still have not received my security deposit money back which they mention that they will send you right away after you checkout but its been 2 weeks and no security deposit back No water in rooms and also if you call room service or reception they will not respond they dont have water anywhere if you ask for it , The parking is paid and they charge you 40 euro for it, for 40 euro i can park my car in the best hotel in Dubai with Vip valet , matter of fact i can just leave my car on the street and take a fine from Police in Paris and it will be the same amount as parking here

Stayed 5 nights for anniversary. Even though we had to move to west everyday for sight seeing, we were very happy to stay there as it has clean, spacious room with nice river view and very good breakfast.
