The restaurant has a great atmosphere. The food choices are abundant and the meal I had was superb. Unfortunately I was full and unable to have any of the fabulous looking desserts. Lisa took great care of us and was very attentive to our needs. Will definitely return! Recommend highly!

We haven't been here in a while, but it was just as great as I remember! Servings are still big enough for two meals, so we're taking leftovers home. Mackenzie gave excellent service, was very attentive and also customized my order. She ensured our drinks were promptly refilled, and did everything cheerfully. 10/10 Highly recommend!!

We’ve been coming here for years when we’re in town visiting family. We decided to stop in for lunch while we were out with our dog and saw that it’s a dog friendly establishment. Angie was amazing! She seated us and immediately got our pup a water dish without us even asking. The deli dogs were great, as usual, and while we’ve always had great service, Angie was especially awesome!

Tried this place out since I was in Dr Phillips today and wasn't disappointed. I had the biscuit and gravy and it was absolutely delicious, the biscuits were light and fluffy but didn't fall apart like others do. The deli sandwiches are huge for the price you pay. My wife and son got the brisket sandwich and it was towering with sliced brisket. The onion rings are delicious as well and are the size of hoop earrings! If you're looking for a New York style deli this is the place! They also have bagels and other traditional breakfast foods that will hit the spot. Our server Lisa was absolutely amazing and knowledgeable and took care of us like family! Thank you ma'am! If you're in the DR Phillips area this is a must have!

We used to eat at TooJay's in The Villages, Florida, but they went out of business. When we saw there was one in Orlando we had to check it out. Service was not great, we ordered Matzo ball soup but after 20 minutes we realized our server had planned to serve it not as an appetizer, but along with our sandwiches, even though we asked to have the soup first. The food was very good, not great but definitely good. The soup had lots of chicken and the matzo balls were good. My Rachel Sandwich and my wife's brisket sandwich were well prepared and the servings were huge. I was happy that they had Cel Ray soda, which I had missed a lot. I would definitely return. This is a good deli with good quality food. Perhaps our server was just having an off day, it certainly wasn't the end of the world.

Delicious! A taste of New York. Matzo ball soup and stuffed cabbage was amazing. Deli style sandwiches were perfect. Definitely will be back!

Thanks Jackie, hostess with the mostest, for telling us the history of the restaurant and the area. Fave item was the liver starter.

Yelp
Love this restaurant and so glad that they are still here! If you're looking for the best cake or slice for a quick dessert or an amazing lunch or dinner this is your spot to feel cozy and at home in the Dr. Phillips area!

Yelp
I purchased $200 worth of gift cards for my aunt's 100th birthday at TJ's via their website. I live in California and the whole transaction was done by website and email. I sent what I got from TJ to a cousin who was there for the actual birthday. The cousin's email was also provided at the time of purchase and TJ's sent a gift card email to them. When he went to TJ's, they refused to honor the cards. They have since declared the problem solved, via email, but kept my money and provided no food. The manager has nothing but excuses and will do nothing. The gift card service number, in area 207, appears to be a gas station payment company bot in Maine that will do nothing without an account number, which I don't have. I am trying to resolve this with the credit card company, Amex. Don't bother with Too Jays gift cards. An annoying waste of time. Rude useless staff at the restaurant. Good pastrami though, pay cash. -- Just an update at the end of the day on trying to get a refund for a gift card that they sent and then refused to honor. I am now up to 26, yes 26, emails with TJ's gift card service. Their gift card people seem to find something new to uncover so they won't refund the money for a card they refused to honor. Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't see the security risk in refunding a purchase to the original payment method when the seller refused to provide the purchased items. Even though I've sent them a screen grab of the American Express transaction, they keep asking if I used MasterCard Visa or Discovery. This smells like a scam to me. I don't really care how good their pastrami is. I am never spending another nickel at TJ. Further update - multiple calls to the number below and multiple emails to toojays all go unanswered for days

Yelp
I have previously rated this restaurant as a 5 star and debated about adding this, but felt it was worthy due to a sudden change today. My husband and I were frequents at this restaurant and were totally in awe today by the food quality. We ordered our usual breakfast order, so we have had this food many times before. Today, we were served dry, flavorless potatoes, as the waitress came out and told us the manager didn't allow for potatoes to be served with onions only. They are on the menu with onions and peppers, but my husband has an allergy to the peppers. We have never been denied this request. We did ask to see the manager that had made that decision and she came out and said that was correct and they could not serve with just onions. She said since the restaurant is slow they could do or we could get with onions and peppers and pick out the peppers ourself. I found this very unusual in the customer service area, but anyway we said not to worry. So after we started eating and the potatoes were really flavorless, we asked the waitress to go ahead and have them make an order with the onions, as the manager had said since they were not busy. Well, we heard the waitress in the background say "now they want the onions". So within a few minutes the manager served us a plate of onions to add to our already cold potatoes. Very disappointing to be served like this, in a community restaurant we have been too many times. So that is the biggest problem. A few other things contributing to my one star today: syrup was expired and I had to ask for an unexpired bottle, bacon was ordered extra crispy and it was cold and not crispy as all, over medium eggs had the white still runny. I did want to add these, however, due to the ordeal about the onions decided it would be better to take the bacon home and re cook rather than let the manager know. My husband ate the eggs, as he is not picky - but he did say they were not fully even hot. The restaurant was clean and the waitresses were friendly as always. It was clear our waitress did not feel it was correct to bring potatoes out and tell customers they could not satisfy a custom order. My thoughts - we need to find another breakfast spot. TOOJAYS should update their menu to say in bold letters no custom orders or consideration for allergies and make it know to the customer before they order. That is, if that is truly how the company wishes to do business going forward. Again, very disappointing, as this has been our go to spot for a comfortable, relaxed breakfast for over a year now. This restaurant has no reason to have a manger that doesn't value customer service, as this is a community area and not a tourist trap.

Yelp
Good prices for the food especially considering it's in Dr Phillips. There is enough variety for everyone (except wine drinkers). The employees try hard but sometimes it's busier than usual and you may have to be more patient. Chicken Capri and the Rueben are my favorite!!

Matt R.

Yelp
This is where we go for our comfort food. The staff is very nice and welcoming to everyone. We love it for lunch and dinner. The seating is comfortable and the food is great. I love that they let you pay for your meal right at the table. The menu has changed over the years, and the prices have gone up, but it's still our go-to place. We never have to wait for a table either.

Christina V.

Yelp
The place is really nice. They have beautiful desserts. They have limited breakfast choices. Mostly omelette. My server was really nice and was on it. I took the potato kanish cold so I can reheat the next day from my hotel room and it was really good. I had the BLT and he had the hot dog. My husband is not a breakfast person he loves the menu choices at 9 am which was mostly lunch and dinner.

Yelp
My family has seen TooJay's every time we've gone to the plaza for groceries or to pick up bagels from Einstein Bros. Out of curiosity, we decided to try them out one afternoon. The restaurant sells deli meats, bakery goods, and they serve food all under one roof. You can get a mix of items from a burger to a salad to a pastrami on rye sandwich, the latter made with in-house pastrami. Service is good when I've gone - staff are friendly and work to get food out quickly. I think this is popular with the locals as some of the waitstaff have chatted with repeat customers when they come in. Pastrami on rye is quite good. The first time I came, they forgot my side order of French fries I ordered and eventually the waitress realized it after dessert came and apologized, before removing it from my bill. (As it was too late to get them as we were finishing dessert.) I would not recommend their New York cheesecake as it was very watery and did not taste fresh. Their chocolate cake/cheesecake slice they did as a monthly special was good - very rich, but good. Pricing is pretty fair and they do some specialty nights like Tuesday is a special deal for 2 cake slices for the price of 1. Parking varies depending on when you go. While the plaza has a lot, you might struggle to find a close spot if it's a peak meal time.

Yelp
If you're looking for deli style sandwiches, this is your place to go! I mean, just look at that Reuben Roll sandwich....it's a good one! The soups are delicious. Chicken salad was really good.

Michele S.

Yelp
We miss the type of deli available to us when we go to Orlando,Fl. Food like Bubbi used to make like latkes, real corn beef on rye, the list is endless. Let's talk service and customer care. We asked for a taste of cabbage soup. What Debbie brought was a small bowl, no charge. Comfortable all around.

Rick J.

Yelp
Decided to go to this deli after stopping at Starbucks for a sandwiches. I had brisket on rye and I must say the rye bread and coleslaw was delicious but for a $15 sandwich I figured "where's the meat?" They cut the sandwich in half and brisket was positioned to the cut of the sandwich and very little brisket anywhere else I was disappointed

Brian R.

Yelp
Lunch at Toojays in Dr Phillips neighborhood. I had a tasty cold beef sandwich with a pickle and side the fries. The fries were so-so my server brought fresh hot fries which were crispy and delicious. Wifey chose a half sandwich, chopped liver, with a cup of beef cabbage soup. Enjoyable. We shared the fries. Nice setting, clean restaurant with a friendly staff and easy parking in the lot. Been here before and will return again.

Yelp
I usually come here for the Buffalo Chicken Wrap but they took it off the menu.. It's so weird because they are a Deli and still have pictures of wraps online but don't make them anymore? Lol doesn't make sense. I won't be visiting again. They also painted their beautiful brick walls white! Why?! It was so nice before. Some places don't need change. At least not the kind they made.

Yelp
I'm giving this 4 stars because I so appreciate finding a real Jewish Deli out here as I'm away from home on a business trip and this is definitely a place that takes pride in itself and Jewish deli's aren't as prominent as they once were so its always a rare treat to find one. My buddy and I are a couple of middle aged Jewish boys that are very romantic about Deli's he's from New York I'm from Miami we both grew up with the best memories of this type of soul food. We were giddy as can be to find this place. The place is lovely. Our server Peter took great care of us. Here's a breakdown of what we ordered with our discerning opinion of what we had. -Matzah ball soup. It was transcending. It took me back to my grandmother making it. We loved it. -The Corned Beef sandwich was the star of the show. It was perfect and teleported me to my childhood again. SO flavorful perfect amount of fat to lean. I would come back in heartbeat to order this again. -Hot dogs. My buddy enjoyed his hot dogs. He expressed they were cooked properly. I took his word for it. He finished them both. Here's where it gets constructive. -Pickles. Pickles are the backbone of any deli. These pickles missed the mark. They were decent enough to accompany our meal. They were not the traditional half sour style, but rather a full sour very similar to any vinegar jarred pickle you could get in a grocery like a Mt. Olive brand pickle. -The Tongue Sandwich. Tongue is my favorite deli meat, but it didn't make the mark. It was a bit cold, mushy, and not as flavorful as it should be. Its likely not a popular item because it's not for the pedestrian deli goer and doesn't get ordered as much as it should. So it may have been sitting past its prime. -The Pastrami Sandwich. I would not get this again either. It was sliced too thin, dry, and not as flavorful as it should have been. Pastrami is a popular deli meat so perhaps it was already pre-sliced and awaiting an order? We still left happy from the experience and glad we came. I'm sure the owners will be open to our appreciation and feedback. Mozeltov and Thank you!

Yelp
Stopped by to grab dinner while we were shopping at Trader Joe's. Place was about empty and we got seated immediately. I ordered a half soup and half sandwich. My boyfriend ordered the loaded latkes. Soup and sandwich were good. The loaded latkes were heavy. Our server was great and friendly. We paid and we left. When I got home later on I looked at the receipt and we were charged 2 sweat teas. We only had water. My boyfriend called and the manager refunded the teas to us.

Yelp
I'm happy to say that I live biking distance from a Jewish style New York deli in Florida where the corned beef on rye is cheaper than $15! Ok 16$ because of tax. Also I love that they have Egg Cream! Where I'm from there was only one place that had it and it's been gone for like 5 years. It's not a hard drink to make. It's just sparkling water with chocolate syrup and some milk. It probably costs like 50¢. Anyway. The matzo ball soup was great plus the chicken noodle soup! Next time I need to try a bagel and cream cheese. Service was good and the atmosphere felt like an old school deli.

Yelp
I ordered TooJay's catering the last time I was in town for a tournament. It was a good experience and everyone loved their food. So when I needed to order lunch for my daughter this time, I immediately thought of TooJay's. I ordered online the night before, paid and left a tip. I arrived about 15 minutes after the requested time. The woman working takeout said she didn't have any record of my order. I showed her my receipt. She went to the back and I assumed told them to make my salad. It was only a salad, so I expected to not wait more than 10 minutes. 25 minutes later I was still standing there. I had seen two other customers come in and order food and leave with it. I was still waiting for a single salad. At that point, I was in danger of making my daughter late for her team meeting. I asked to speak to a manager. She (heavyset, blonde) clearly did not care at all. She again repeated that they had no record of my order. Then she told me that they had a "30 top that had been been there since 1030". As if to say that those 30 people were more important than me. No apology and no sense of urgency. Poor customer service all around. Sad that TooJay's has lost any future business from me and my team. My daughter actually loved her salad, but I don't spend my money where I am not appreciated.

Yelp
Me and husband and son stopped in here and it will be the last time. The appetizer didn't come out before the actual meal and when i mentioned something to waitress, she made excuses that she was only waitress and her boss was cooking. Then I overheard her being so rude to the lady on next table over all because the poor lady had allergies and wanted to be careful what she ordered. The waitress responded " we are not required to know people's allergies " then proceeded to tell the lady the were giving her plain fish not even salt on it as she requested. When my sons checked tenders came out they were burned and I told her she wouldn't eat them. She said she would have her boss make more but then proceeded to bring us out three more dark over cooked chicken tenders. My son also never got his black and white cookie as it stayed on the menu. Very disappointing

Yelp
One of the better locations. Service is average. Food has gone downhill. Restaurant traffic has reflected the decline. Servers do table side billing. I do not like this kind of billing method at all...

Rachel L.

Yelp
I got the latkes with smoked salmon, along with the matzo ball soup. The food was hot and well packaged. Both item lacked salt and flavour. I even added the extra package of salt and pepper but didn't do much. Matzo ball soup is my favourite but this one just didn't hit the spot unfortunately.

Yelp
Came in for breakfast Sunday to celebrate Birthday with our daughter. Would have given 6 stars but we had a sour puss waitress who def. Wasn't a morning gal. It wasn't myself who commented but the young people at our table about the attitude and they weren't wrong. She was less than friendly. The breakfast was fine and honestly perfect. So I am sorry to take a star for this. It was under my recommendation to eat here since it was close to where the kids were staying (we are from the area originally and hadn't been in for some time). Best wishes

Barbara E.

Yelp
Delicious food, large portions. Home style cooking. Their desserts are amazing. Service is always good. The ambiance is a diner style.

Tandy M.

Yelp
I am so disappointed! I used to go here years ago and looooved it. I went back to take my family and it was different in a bad way. The Matza balls were bland the black and whites were stale.. to name just a couple disappointments. Also, the new decor is giving tacky diner vibe. Also the prices have doubled (I guess that is mostly everywhere though). The only reason I did not give one star is because our server was actually good.

Linda W.

Yelp
Everything was Awesome, yummy now one of our favs! Only wish we had them in Arizona...

Debra F.

Yelp
Waited a few minutes to be seated even though there were empty tables because the tables were not bussed. Maybe we just missed the rush? Anyway the wait was minimal and service, once seated, was quick. The wait staff was attentive and personable. Ordered the loaded latkes for an appetizer and they were good, cheesy potato pancakes with plenty of bacon and sour cream. Forgot to take a picture of the sandwiches but they were underwhelming anyway. A pastrami on rye and a corned beef on rye, both with a pickle and cole slaw on the side. The bread to meat ratio was off. It wasn't that there was too much meat because I was disappointed with the size of the sandwiches. I am used to delis stacking those meats sky high, this was not the case. There was enough meat but the bread was soggy and too thinly sliced to even stand up to the amount of meat. The crust of the rye was very hard and we left much of it on the plate. The pastrami was good but the corned beef, although juicy, was very fatty and I really expected more. The pickle was tasty and the Cole slaw was ok but all in all a disappointing lunch. Desserts looked good but we were afraid they would have been a disappointment as well so we decided to opt out.

Joy J.

Yelp
I haven't been to Toojays in quite some time now, And this time around I was craving the Matzo Ball Soup and Latkes! The matzo ball soup broth is delicious here. The matzo ball itself is also tender and seasoned well. Love the matzo ball here. The potato latke pancakes are also divine. They are small shredded fried potato pancakes served with sour cream and apple sauce. Similar to thin hash browns these pancakes are delicious. Do not forget to treat yourself with the desserts! im a big fan of the banana dream cake!

Kara G.

Yelp
Food is delicious. It came via UberEats so I can't comment on the service or ambiance.

Louis P.

Yelp
Please please fix yourself. Your turkey is terrible. I also ordered the Rachel. It was chewy as heck!! Dining room was sparsely occupied tonight. The message is clear.

Jeremy L.

Yelp
KUDOS and thanks to Ms. Diana, for providing supreme quality customer service at Toojay's Deli Bakery! She helped and help me to decide on the menu what to get! I ordered the Create Your Own Omelet with mushrooms, tomatoes , and sausage. It also came with a side of oatmeal. I really enjoyed the tunes and music in the background. I highly recommend everyone to come and visit this wonderful restaurant here in Dr. Phillips!

Melanie W.

Yelp
The food was very good. I had the pastrami eggs Benedict and it was delicious! Will definitely be coming back again. Great server also!!

Frank M.

Yelp
What's happened to TooJays?!? As a long time and regular patron who absolutely loved them, was just here after 6 months of being out of the area and found they have really changed. And not for the better! Wife had deli sandwich and the fries were inconsistently cooked and greasy. I had their soup and shrimp salad sandwich. The bread was small and thinly sliced, and there was barely any shrimp on the sandwich. I mean maybe 2 1/2 small shrimp! Just no where close to what I use to enjoy. And they charge extra for this dish! There at lunch time and the place was only 20 % full, when in the past one would have to wait for a table. Guess things are changing and it's not going over well. So disappointed!

Gordon M.

Yelp
May Day 2023, hadn't been in a while. Apparently we arrived just in time for new menu. I went here because I had been able to get a white fish platter with real white fish! Well, no more. All I could find on this "burger menu" was a "white fish salad!" Since I was there I tried it. For $13.00, I got two ice cream scoops of a white fish salad. It was overly salty. The platter included only a few black olives, two cherry tomatoes, two cucumber slices and a scatter of red onions. Oh, one slice of rye bread cut in two. Had to ash for butter. I was not impressed! The service was slow for an early evening where only about 1/4 of the place had customers. Didn't even take a photo. Probably won't be back unless someone lets me know I can get a real white fish platter.

JT C.

Yelp
I've been there twice and absolutely love their matzoh ball soup! We ordered an omelette entree and a chicken sandwich dish. Looking forward to to returning!

Melissa B.

Yelp
Too Jays is Too Good! We ordered for a crowd and everyone was happy. When I think of deli food, Too Jays hits the mark. The food is delicious and made with fresh ingredients, the service is friendly, and the packaging for to go orders is top notch. Everything was marked and there was no spillage of sauces, etc. They even included silverware without having to ask. As far as to go food ordering, they're the best at packaging that I've come across. We ordered a variety including the Triple J, Ultimate Turkey BLT, Crispy Chicken Salad, The Med, The Patty Melt, Loaded Latkes, Fries, and Desserts. The portion sizes are huge and everyone had leftovers! The thing that sets them over the top is that they list all of their allergens right on their website. As a family with severe food allergies, it's important to verify ingredients before ordering and TooJays has it posted for each menu item so there is no question. If you haven't tried it, you should. It just hits different than other deli food. Yum.

Wendy B.

Yelp
Well - I'm writing this in hopes management will make some improvements for dine in. My first dine in experience was in all honesty only worth 2 stars but I gave it 3 as we have ordered take out /pick up many times without any issues. Counter service for some Sunday morning treats /desserts has always been pleasant so I took my prior good experiences and gave it an average of 3 stars - hoping it was just an off day... Well, today was less impressive than the first dine in and will unfortunately be my last. We will continue to patronize this business for reasons already stated with the food we have always enjoyed. I do hope they make some changes to not have others feel put off also. My first dine in wait staff was slow and not attentive. Today, we were seated quickly and the hostess was very friendly - off to a good start. When we sat down in our booth - the table across from us was annoyed with the speed of trying to get out of there - ( we could hear them say -we need to get out of here to the waiter) so ugh I thought hope this is not going to be a repeat of our poor service visit one. Once they left - there was only one other table in our section -so really no reason the waiter should have got my order wrong and forget the two extra things we asked for... but he did. I had ordered a buffalo chicken wrap but was brought buffalo chicken tenders - not a huge difference but not what I ordered- I did keep it as I was starving. I did just notice the tenders meal was slightly more than the wrap so although not by much - that does annoy me. My buffalo tenders were a bit dry like as overcooked or previously frozen maybe - definitely not what I was hoping for, the coleslaw had no flavor, the fries were warm at best - not hot or "fresh" so not at all enjoyable. My man's Rueben was good but he also had one bite of the coleslaw and pushed it off to the side. Not sure why but in our section the other tables had their chairs up which gave us a rushed vibe. They are open until 9 so why it felt and looked like closing time at 530 - no clue but not a good thing. Maybe because of Covid they are not using all tables??? Perhaps just store the chairs away from the tables so it does not look so uninviting. The bathroom did not have paper towels - the floors were in some places slippery with caution signs up - the table that had left when we had sat down - was not cleaned until almost we left - and once "cleaned" the bus boy left some visible crumbs on the table - so just making me wonder why things were not up to speed with very few customers in there? We paid the waiter at the table for the meal and went up to get desserts. The counter guy was extremely polite and friendly as they always are and the same hostess thanked us and said goodnight. It's almost like two separate businesses from the front counter to the restaurant area - we won't dine in again but will be back for the brownies and rugalah - both are fantastic. Hope this cute place can figure out how to get the wait staff to step up their game.

Yelp
There are NO Jewish delis where I live and it was so worth the drive to Too Jays. The food was excellent. Coming from New York it was what I would have hoped for. Sorry, no Kasha Knishes. The service was wonderfully attentive Despite the place being packed. It felt like aa great NY Delicatessen. Everyone seemed happy to be there and most had clearly been regulars. We have been to few Too Jays in Florida and they have all been consistently good, but this one seemed to step it up a notch. Not everyone is a fan of chopped liver , but I am and their's hit the spot. My wife's Reuben was excellent. Looking forward to coming back. Great atmosphere, food and service, what more could you ask for.

Freddie G.

Yelp
An amazing place and food is excellent All of the staff are so nice! We highly recommend TooKays

Pamela H.

Yelp
Tojays Deli reminds me of a diner. They had a pretty good selection of food in addition to your typical delivery menu. When you walk in, you can see the staff making the meals behind glass displays of yummy pastries. They have both outdoor and indoor seating. Matzo Ball soup seemed to be pretty popular and made fresh. We ordered the Ruben and a Turkey and Avacado sandwich on rye. They came with a pickle and slaw. The sandwich looks fat, but it was the way they rolled the meat around the thick cut tomatoes and avacado. The The back half of the bred was empty. I had to deconstruct it to flatten out the sandwich so that I could get my mouth around it and even out the empty back half. A+ for presentation. The sandwich was good, but they were a little skimpy on the meat for the money. Seriously, two sandwiches with no drinks (water) was $29.80. The hostess and waitress were really nice and attentive. They clearly did great business because there was a line to get in at 11am on a Monday, pluss the carryout line. There were a lot of locals/regulars based on people coming and going calling out to staff by name. All in all, a good experience and food. I just wish they would have had more meat on their sandwiches.

Randy K.

Yelp
Terrific pastrami sandwich that my wife and I shared. Like the pastrami I grew up with in NYC. And, a bargain at $14. The matzo ball soup was also very good, tasty. The cup was big enough to share. The deli even served Dr. Brown's Cream Soda. Service from Falon was great! The "Killer Chocolate Cake" was OK, the only disappointment. If in the area, we will definitely be back.

Yelp
Took out last night. Ordered corn beef and a pastrami sandwiches both of which had substantially less meat than they use to have. The rye bread had big holes in it. The french fries were soggy from using the styrofoam containers but were also not cooked all the way. Very disappointed quality and quantity was not as we had previously.

Yelp
This dish was so good! It reminded me of a home cooked meal. It was hot upon arrival and packaged very nicely! Highly recommend!!

Yelp
Diamond in the ruff! Excellent food. Great soup. Had their Reuben and now my favorite! My favorite place to go for sandwiches. They have a good breakfast too.

Yelp
I hate leaving bad reviews and rarely leave them because I feel there's always more negativity than positivity in the world. But ugh. I was so excited to finally try this place because the pics had me drooling! I live an hour away and was in the area after the hurricane since we had to leave our house, and was stoked because after a year being on my to do list, I could finally get takeout from here! But damn. The matzo soup lacked flavor. It tasted like water. And by bf's onion soup ($8.15) tasted like it had been scraped from a burnt pan, the onions not even carmelized. Then my sandwich which was just a sandwich for $15.75 was what I would have paid for maybe a $9 sandwich. Keep in mind it didn't come with anything except for Cole slaw, which was small and tasted almost like spoiled milk. My dude got shepherds pie ($17.05) and it was greasy as hell, didn't even look like some of the pics I've seen from other reviewers. So disappointed. When a friend who is also staying in Orlando said he was jealous I went here, and I showed him the pics, he was disappointed for me. At least the girl at the counter was really sweet and the place looked clean. Thankfully I had a coupon too, because I can't fathom paying full price for what we got. It hurts my heart to even leave this after the excitement and then disappointment.

Yelp
I'm still not impressed with the pastrami sandwich. Maybe i'm spoiled having lived most of my life in nyc area. The restaurant looks like a nice diner but it lacks in authentic Jewish Deli flavor. I ordered to go today and asked for mustard and got mayonnaise (ugh)! The pickle tasted more like a Vlasic jar pickle than a true kosher deli one. I wanted a Cel-Ray but they were all warm. Disappointing dining experience.

Yelp
I love this place! The food never dissapoints. Their chicken soup is so flavorful and delicious. It's so comforting and warming. I had it after surgery and it went down like medicine. We have tried their juicy burgers and excellent sandwiches. They are all great! And it's so good to find a place in Orlando were I can get a delicious and flaky knish just like the ones in Brooklyn.

Yelp
we are in a sad state of affairs when Too Jays charges $8 for cheese cake and gives you have a slice of what you used to get. I would have returned it but my sister brought it as a take out and did not look. All these restaurants like Too Jays are charging higher prices for a lesser quality and less food but still expect a big tip...I don't want to do it anymore. The slice of cheese cake was so small I had to use a microscope to find it..

Yelp
After moving back to North Florida from South Florida, I have SO missed Too Jays! It was mine and my husbands go to for breakfast, lunch, dinner and desserts. We went while on vacay with our two kids (7 & 5). They were entertained with the coloring pages and our server, Melissa was so sweet! She was very interactive with the kids and knew the menu up and down. I got the Ruben with fries, my husband got the Too Jays burger and my kids both got Mac n cheese. All of our food was hot, delicious and came out pretty quickly. We finished off with a piece of Killer Cake. While everything delivered, the 4 stars is really just the price point. For a lunch with a slice of cake & tip we paid over $60. While yummy, it seemed higher than I remembered for burgers and sandwiches. It won't stop us from going, just maybe for dinner :)

Yelp
One of our favorite eateries in Orlando. Just did a pick up order and was impressed with the friendly greeting when I walked in. Everyone worked as a team (including managers) to get the orders out. Once we got our food home, it was tasty and delicious as always. Special thanks to Anya, Josh, and Peter for insuring I will continue to come back.
