Love the Learn to Swim program but it is extremely difficult to get your child into their classes for the following term. It is first come first serve for everyone which poses an issue when your child is already in the program and can’t get into a class and progress. Maybe a consideration for the future to allow families already in the program to register first and then create classes based on demand and trends.

Overall a good pool, but the benches in the observation deck are awfully hard. The pool area is kept warm for the swimmers, and the deck is similarly warm. There are bathrooms for the attendees but no concessions.

Vet bad experience and on the website it shows that the pool is open but when we got there it was closed

Lap pool lane availability in the evenings is often limited due to teams. Other than that it's great.

Great to have the availability of these pools at URI , but they could be kept cleaner, the locker rooms too. Edit (9-1-22) the Aquatic Center has been renovated over the Covid shut down period, can't wait to rejoin again.

Good swim instructor for small children. 3 pools. Family changing room is ok, but the bathroom is hard to find and you walk around damp long corridors with no signage. Called in advance and didn't learn anything through the phone and left the message with a question that nobody returned. Also, when you buy the swimming classes, you get the membership for a month. If you buy a month in advance, your membership expires before you ever get there. Tried to call and move the membership, and the person thought that should work, so I wrote an email and received a stern answer that it was not possible.

Warmest pool around, plus you have 3 pools to swim in. It is a bit dated and worn down, especially the men's locker room ... Based on its condition, you'd think URI was starving for endowments ... Maybe it is. Regardless, the shallow pool is really warm and the fees are very reasonable.

Locker rooms need updating...some lockers so rusted that the bottoms are gone...some showers are broken, no electrical plugs for hair drying . I hear the mens room dryers dont work...some mold in showers too...makes you wonder about the upkeep of pool.
