Top North Hotel

Overall my stay at this hotel was very good. It is close to the old town and there are many facilities nearby. To go on day trips is easy because there is a friendly tour agent at the hotel. The swimming pool area is nice but the pool is rather old and needs improving.

Everything, throughout my entire stay, was 100% on point. On check in, my room was ready, beautifully presented by housekeeping staff, on entry and all the way to departure. I was on a high floor with views of the lovely pool, lush gardens, breakfast bar, massage spa (which is great, too - by the way ...) and out to the city. Location, location, location ... Hard to imagine any better, as the old city awaits, with all of it's attractions of nightlife, shopping, dinning and places of interest, right on one's doorstep here

This is a great old hotel with a reputation of many years. Everything is a little past it’s half-life 🤪 including some of the long term characters who stay here! This iconic marvel is a time-warp and the staff is great, rooms clean & reasonably priced. The location can’t be better. It is close to Eastgate, the Sunday walking market, many great bars and restaurants. It should be on the “must do” list of Chang Mai.

This was acdecent place to stay for my trip as it is close to the old town and many amenities. The rooms are comfortable and the staff a friendly. Swimming pool needs to be updated as it is looking rather worn.

The place is very tired, sink in our superior room was block and had been for some time judging by the filth in it. Bed was so bad apart from the ants I had to lay towels over the bed to stop the bed springs, hurting me. No WiFi in the upper rooms, which was a big minus for the kids, no tea or coffee facilities in the whole place. Location is the only positive, will look for better value next trip.

Have stayed here twice before with no issues. |The location is good|This time I was very disappointed. |The room was a good size with a comfortable bed.|However, there was dirty mould stains on the ceiling and dirty marks on some of the walls.|All the tv channels were grainy and unwatchable. |But the bathroom OMG.|The bath was old, stained and rusty around the edge.|The grouting around the tiles was filthy.|The chrome taps needed a good clean or replacing. |The whole bathroom needs replacing. |The room need renovating.|If I was the hotel manager I would be ashamed of myself for letting this room to a paying guest. |The ladies doing the breakfast were lovely

I enjoyed my stay at Top North a great deal. Yes the hotel is a little worn but you can look at it as having character. It is certainly clean, as the pleasant housekeeping staff does a diligent job. I had a generously sized room with several English language TV channels, and appreciated the sizable motorcycle parking area. My one complaint is the need to sign into wifi regularly… you get bounced either when away from the hotel or after a certain number of hours. An annoyance. If you're looking for budget accommodations at a large-ish place in a great location, it's tough to beat Top North.
