Top Notch

My experience with Top Notch was amazing from start to finish. My wife and I came home from the holidays to a burst pipe that flooded our master bathroom and closet. The water mitigation company recommended by our plumber was unprofessional, tried to rip us off, and was a huge pain. When it came time to find a restoration contractor, I wanted someone professional and competent because I had enough headaches from the water mitigation company. Thus, I was referred to Top Notch by our realtor, who had the utmost praise for this company. My realtor was correct. And all the other 5-star reviews here are correct. Robert, the owner, answered my call on a weekend and fit me into the schedule last-minute so his estimator could arrive when my insurance adjuster visited for a walk-through. Tony Malham showed up before the insurance adjuster, did his own walk-through, wrote an estimate, coached me on what to say and what not to say, and handled the entire conversation with my insurance. He did not pressure me to sign anything or commit to Top Notch in exchange for this service (something another contractor tried to do). He said, “this is a courtesy.” They wrote a fair estimate that insurance immediately agreed to, but also got us quite a bit more money to do some renovations. Brian was assigned as our project manager. He and Robert walked me and my wife through the process of the restoration/renovation. They were incredibly kind and patient. Brian led the construction, along with Sanny, Rafael, and Anastacio (George). All were incredibly professional, highly-detailed, and just plain skilled at their job. Sanny was here every day and did impeccable work. I swear that man rebuilt at least half of our lost structures alone. Rafael retiled our floor beautifully. Anastacio (George) demo’d, drywalled, and painted with precision. I can’t even tell half our walls were once missing. Overall, the team was kind while on-site, worked hard and fast, but did everything the right way, the first time. As a result, our bathroom and closet look gorgeous. These are the people you want rebuilding structures that will last the remainder of your house’s lifetime. I hope I don’t have water damage in the future, but if I do, I’m calling Top Notch from the start, since they do water mitigation and demolition as well. They are the definition of pros. Now I see why Robert named the company “Top Notch.”

I've used this company twice now, and the service has been excellent both times. They always have a quick turnaround once the request is submitted. Harrison did a great job explaining everything thoroughly, so there was no confusion. I would definitely recommend this company! They also do HVAC!

I have used Top Notch a couple of times now and have been happy with the price and results each time. This last time Harrison came by to look at our AC unit that was "fixed" a couple of months prior by another company. He suggested fixing rather than buying a new unit (other company was pushing for just replacing it) and Harrison spent the time getting parts and actually fixed the problem at a very reasonable price. He was obviously very knowledgeable in the field.

Top Notch IS top notch! We are so appreciative to Robert, Brian, Cecilio, Sanny, & Gio - the whole team! After the nightmare leak and water damage in our kitchen, these guys were really a saving grace. They work hard and gave great advice along the way. Very communicative, answered our questions, and kept us in the loop. They took extra measures to ensure the house was kept safe/clean for our daughter who was in the midst of cancer treatments. Couldn’t have asked for more. We now have the kitchen of our dreams. Thank you so much!

I have worked with Top Notch a few times now. The owner Robert is AWESOME!!!! He treats your house like his house and even better he treats your money as if it were his own. I can’t say enough good things about this company.

TOP NOTCH IS THE BEST! DO NOT CALL YOUR INSURANCE AGENT BEFORE YOU CALL TOP NOTCH! We discovered Top Notch two years ago after our tenant moved out and damaged the water line to the refrigerator. We arrived in town to inspect the house and realize we were in trouble. It was a Saturday and we called Top Notch on the recommendation of our property manager. Within 1 hour Robert was at our door and the waterline was fixed in minutes. But that left us with wet cabinets, wet walls, and wet flooring. On Sunday Top Notch demoed the kitchen, flooring, cut out drywall and had huge machines to draw out the water from what could be saved. That alone is the reason to call Robert the owner. But what we didn’t realize was his connections to granite yards, cabinetry builders, flooring, painters, seriously there is too much to mention. Roberts #2 guy is named Gerald and he is one of the kindest, hardworking man I have ever met. His knowledge and experience is insane. Every single one of his employee’s was courteous and fast working. I cannot say enough about Top Notch.

I work at the child care center mentioned in the other review. A major roof leak during a sudden heavy rain storm on 12/6/18 damaged the ceiling, walls, and floors. Bobby, the owner of Top Notch, heard about our troubles and offered to send his crew that night to get the couple inches of water out and start the flood restoration process. He said if the insurance company pays him for it, great, but if not he still wanted to help us. His crew was there past midnight, and when we surveyed the damage the next morning, the water was basically gone and the drying process started. We felt hopeful that the damage could be repaired, whereas the night before we were almost certain the business would have to close. Over the past 2.5 weeks, Top Notch has graciously donated their services, materials, and expertise to help us through this. When our insurance claim was denied, Bobby continued to help us like he said he would. They cut through the drywall and ran fans and dehumidifiers to dry the walls and floor. They removed the damaged ceiling tiles. They removed the damaged vinyl floor in the bathroom. They hauled away the debris from the damaged ceiling tiles, floor, and furniture. After everything was dry, they replaced the drywall that had to be cut out. Bobby has given us advice on how to repair things correctly while saving money, offered or given us free materials (flooring, drywall, light fixtures) and even bought me lunch. He's about to travel out of the country for Christmas and he still told me to call him if we need anything. This guy is a SAINT. His employees are the best - friendly, fun to hang out with, and offering to help us after their regular work hours, even around Christmas time. I can't thank Top Notch enough.
