This is a beautiful and surprisingly fun restaurant. Prices were more reasonable than I expected. Our group of four was seated promptly. Service was quite good. Indoor and outdoor (balcony) seating is available. Nice view from the balcony.
As for the food, not everything was to my taste, but I appreciated the care and thoughtfulness that went into the menu and preparation. From the "social plates" menu we ordered the Korean Pork Skewers, Garlic Bread, and Blackened Shrimp. The shrimp were excellent. The garlic bread was just garlic bread, and I thought a bit overpriced at $8. This is something another restaurant would have provided for free with your meal. The Korean pork skewers were a disappointment. My Korean wife agreed with me that there was nothing Korean about them. The glaze tasted like teriyaki sauce from a bottle. I think the chef that came up with this doesn't know what real Korean food tastes like. This dish is really more like Japanese yakitori.
For full plates we ordered the garlic smashburger, which was excellent. 100% would order again. The chicken spiedini was good, and beautifully presented, but seemed a bit cold as if it had sat in the kitchen waiting for pickup. My wife and I didn't care for the carbonara risotto. It seemed starchy, thick and overcooked, and I'm not sure ham is the right choice for a carbonara.
Overall it was a great experience, and I'm looking forward to going back and trying some of the other great looking dishes on the menu.
