"Snorkelling & Diving With shallow waters, oceanic drop-offs, sunken ships, bright coral walls and diverse marine life, Tahiti is perfect for both beginning and advanced divers, and if you've never dived before, but want to experience the underwater world, you can do an entry level dive that includes a pre-dive morning in the swimming pool learning the basics, followed by a dive that doesn't extend deeper than 15 meters. You can also just book a snorkeling trip, which still lets you see the marine life, including sharks. There are a number of different reputable companies including TOPDive, which is at the Intercontinental Resort and Tahiti Plongée, located at Marina Lotus, nine kilometers from Papeete."

Amazing experience. My husband and I went to Tahiti for a dive trip and decided to do the 20 dive special with Activiseas. We enjoyed all the staff and the varied location they took us to were absolutely beautiful. Everyone is professional. The gear is all almost brand news (AQUALUNG WAVE) and the location is idyllic. We highly recommend this Dive Shop with all the wonderful masters who worked there. We managed to Dive with Humpback whales, white and black tip sharks, Nurse Shark and watched 100s of Eagle Rays to go by in an awe inspiring viewing point. Go with them, you will not be dissapointed.

I was extremely disappointed with my experience with Activiseas. My friends and I (a group of 6) very specifically booked a PRIVATE boat to swim with whales and maximize our time in the water. This was the only day of our short weekend trip we could do this excursion, so it was very important to us. When we arrived, we found out Activiseas had also booked 2 additional people on our “private” boat. French Polynesia’s regulations clearly state no more than 6 people in the water per boat and no more than 3 boats with the whales at a time — which I completely agree with and respect. That’s exactly why we booked a private boat, since our group of 6 already filled the maximum. Because of this poor organization, we now had 8 people onboard and had to swim in 2 rotations. This meant 4 of us did not get the same amount of time in the water as the others. What should have been a magical, once-in-a-lifetime experience with my friends ended up feeling disappointing and unfair, since my friends and I weren’t able to enjoy the whales for as long as we should have if we were on the private boat that we booked. While I will say the guide and captain themselves were wonderful, it’s very clear the office and management side of Activiseas needs a lot of improvement. At the very least, they should understand what “private boat” actually means. Or even if they gave us a call before hand to tell us that the PRIVATE boat we booked is no longer available and it will be a shared boat, so we could have agreed on being on a shared boat or so that we could have booked with another company...

We had an awesome time with Activiseas for our diving trip. My wife and I booked it from the USA and did not know what to expect. The instructors at Activiseas were super fun, and taught us a lot about diving. I 100% recommend!

My wife and I did five dives with them and very much enjoyed them. The staff is very friendly and the ladies at the desk were super helpful in getting us booked last minute. This is a former Top Dive location that was rebranded/sold (?) and now operates as Activiseas. That was a little confusing at first as some signage and even the boats still say Top Dive. Top Dives website is also still showing that location. Just a note of clarity for others doing research. Rougher than normal conditions prevented us from going to certain sites but the dive masters were great at finding alternatives. Turtles, a couple sharks, lots of fish and even a spotted eagle ray! Boats aren’t that big which means lots of small group diving. Never had more than 4 people in our dive group. Tea and a cookie upon surfacing was lovely. We brought our own gear but their rental gear was brand new (Aug ‘25). They do three dives per day and the boat returns after each one. One day we dove all three without issue. There’s some time after the second dive to grab a quick lunch bite. Would dive with them again.

Having taken a whale watching tour with possible snorkel at 3 other locations, this was by far the worst of the 4. Our initial email when booking indicated that the tour had a max capacity of 8, but they put 11 people in our boat. And while the guide did speak English, the tour was primary conducted in French with English being after thought. Felt like we missed a lot of what was being discussed or explained. Finally the desk staff and the tour guide told us different things in regards to the current status of whales around Tahiti, with the guide saying that it was already getting difficult to find them as they had started migrating. Also keep in mind, if your goal is to actually get in the water with the whales, current limitations of group sizes of 6 swimmers at a time basically means if you are not in group 1, the odds of actually seeing them while in the water decrease dramatically. Best to book a small private tour for that.

We went snorkeling one morning through Top Dive and had a great experience. We had two wonderful guides that explained in great detail all the fish, coral and sea life that we saw. They were knowledgeable about everything under water and the island of Tahiti.

We completed a 2 tank dive day with them and they were amazing. The gear was all in great working condition and new. The dive masters were superb in showing us different marine life and dive sites. Could not rave more about the service here. We will 100 percent be coming back

We had an amazing snorkeling trip with Activiseas in Tahiti! The water was crystal clear and we saw so much marine life—tons of colorful fish, a small shark, an octopus, and even a sunken plane and two boat wrecks! The guides were super friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure everyone felt safe and had a great time. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip. Highly recommend!
