My husband and I got married in late October of 2025 at Tops'l Farm. We decided to move forward with them because they were "all inclusive" - taking care of drinks, food, and even decor (they recycle items like candlesticks and bud vases for weddings...such a genius idea). Willa was our planner through Tops'l and absolutely knocked it out of the park. I expressed my difficulty with detail planning and nailing down tablescapes. We walked into our dinner tent and she had created the most magical table and floral designs (she was our florist too!) - she literally brought branches from the woods next door to wrap the tent poles so they looked like trees. It was incredible!! Willa truly was a delight and a joy. The rest of the Tops'l team was also incredible. All of them made our weekend truly unforgettable and one we miss nearly every day! Logistics were easy, the property was stunning, the food was the best wedding food I've ever had, and the drinks were somehow even better. The boots on the ground team day-of (Kai, Dylan, Willa, the support staff) are some of the most enjoyable, fun, and welcoming people we've had the pleasure of meeting. They truly made us feel like VIP celebrities having the wedding of the year. We highly recommend spending time at the venue Sarah has lovingly created - having a whole weekend with our closest family and friends staying onsite was something we greatly cherish and will continue to for years to come.

The best people and best wedding weekend ever. No question. We just held our 120 person wedding at Tops'l and still can't believe how perfect everything was. The property is spectacular and the team went above and beyond to make it a special weekend for us, and all of our guests. The food, the ambience - every detail exceeded our expectations and we feel so lucky to have had our special day there. To quote a friend: "I’m having withdrawals from Tops’l food, I could have that every meal of every day." The team was also fantastic to work with in the lead up, they are true professionals and clearly love the work they do. Thank you to Sarah, Dylan, Chef Bonnie, Willa, Ginger, Kai and the whole team - you guys are the best. I could not recommend this place and team any higher, 10/10! We will remember this weekend forever.

I visited the farm to attend a Petite Pause in November (creative/crafting themed) and had the best lil' time of my life. Sharing creativity and some of the best food of my life (thanks Bonnie) with a small group of women from throughout the country was special indeed. My highlights included: homemade marshmallows and hot chocolate by the fire, using the wood-burning hot tub in a field while I watched the shooting stars, and leaving so rested and inspired. Does it sound idyllic? It totally is:)

Our wedding at Tops'l Farm was nothing short of perfection from start to finish. My husband and I are from Philadelphia, PA, but had our hearts set on having a small multi-day wedding in MidCoast Maine. However, neither one of us wanted to spend a lot of time planning a wedding, so finding a venue that could plan and execute for us was essential. Tops'l Farm's "No Stress Nuptial" package was an ideal fit for us. Even so, I was concerned that it would feel too much like a rinse and repeat wedding that wasn't reflective of who we were as a couple. This fear, it turned out, could not have been further from the truth. Without writing a short novel, I will tell you that in addition to the beauty of the natural environment surrounding Tops'l Farm the structures that make up the venue -- The Farmhouse, The Cottage, The Barn, The A-Frames -- are all meticulously kept up and artfully designed. It feels luxurious but relaxed. Nothing feels over-done, but rather in harmony with the rolling hills, wild flowers, sheep pasture, etc. We had over forty of our friends and family members who stayed with us on-site ranging in ages from 78 to 10 and everyone enjoyed themselves. The Tops'l staff and recommended vendors who we chose for our wedding were just incredible. Our day-of coordinator, Quin Johnson, and Willa Vaughn, who did our florals -- a tree installation -- but also so much more, were just fabulous. Chef Bonnie created a meal, actually multiple meals, that people are still raving about. We had a lot of different food allergies in our group and the attention given to those people was really amazing. We had our reception served family style, which I thought added a real sense of intimacy to the night. One of our guests skipped the "fancy BBQ" event we hosted at Tops'l the night before the wedding in favor of a very famous restaurant in Rockland, ME only to later declare that she wished she'd had Chef Bonnie's meal instead. There are so many more people to shout-out: Julie, Dillon, the servers, the bartenders -- everyone who helped out over the course of the three days we were at Tops'l were incredibly friendly, professional, and genuinely seemed to love being a part of the celebration. While the "No Stress Nuptial" package includes almost everything that you need to have a successful wedding the couple does need to secure a photographer, DJ , and hair/make-up artist. Tops'l provides a lot of assistance with this by providing a list of recommended vendors and then closer to the wedding our day-of coordinator, Quin, followed up with our vendors and worked out all the particulars. It was a bit of a shot in the dark for me hiring vendors, but everyone that I brought in was incredible and I HIGHLY recommend: Kong with Hair, Etc out of Portland; Alanna with Alanna Hogan Photography; and James with Jams Frrever. These folks made an already amazing experience at Tops'l that much better (and obviously deserve their own long-winded review).

We had the pleasure of getting married at Tops'l Farm in early June, and it was an absolutely magical experience from start to finish! Sarah and her team were incredibly organized and a joy to work with. They ensured that every decision was finalized weeks before our big day, allowing us to relax and fully enjoy the celebration. One of the highlights was having our friends and family stay on the property with us—it truly made the whole experience even more special. Our guests couldn't stop raving about the delicious food and drinks served during both our rehearsal dinner and wedding. Everything was executed flawlessly, creating a warm and enjoyable atmosphere that made our day unforgettable. If you're considering Tops'l Farm for your wedding or any special event, we cannot recommend them highly enough. Their attention to detail and dedication to making your day perfect will make your celebration truly remarkable.

My co-lead, Catie Macken and myself had the pleasure of hosting a movement/breathwork Retreat at Tops'l in October 2025. Between the two of us, we have over 30 retreats under our belts so we were eager to work with Tops'l and experience a supportive and more "hands on" approach from their team. From the moment that we arrived, we were met with clear communication and an eagerness to support our group from every member of the team. From Bonnie and Cat in the kitchen, to Dylan and Caleb in the field, we felt as though our desires were heard and clearly tended to. We would love to give special thanks to Jess Nelson, who brought a warm, grounding presence throughout the entirety of the Retreat. She handled every request, need, and last minute shift with grace, compassion and a sense of urgency. The Meadow Spa was a true highlight of the weekend. Between classes and meals, our guests loved walking across the field to the sauna and wood fired hot tub! The entire property was extremely well tended to while still allowing the natural landscape to shine. If you stay at Tops'l, be sure to take the short hike down to the Yurt! A group of women went for a cold plunge and we were lucky enough to witness the bald eagles! Though our guests stayed in the Farmhouse, Cottage and Cider House and felt very comfortable in their accommodations, Catie and I had the pleasure of staying in the cabins which truly felt like a weekend away at summer camp. If you have a group coming to stay, don't forget about the cabins! If interested in hosting a retreat at Tops'l, we can't recommend our experience enough. Thank you Sarah and team for such a memorable and nurturing experience! Sincerely, Kara, Catie and the 16 women who joined us!

My husband Caleb & I feel so fortunate that we were able to host our recent wedding at Tops'l Farm. The entire weekend felt like magic, and the farm captured everything important to who we are as a couple - our sense of adventure, love of the outdoors, spending time with loved ones, and detail to great food and experiences! We found Sarah and the Tops'l team to be exceptional, detail-oriented, intentional, warm and helpful. From the beginning of the wedding planning process, we knew we were in the best of hands and were going to be able to plan and provide a unique and thoughtful experience that would bring together our loved ones in a unforgettable celebration. During the wedding weekend, our guests from all over the country gathered over the most delicious cocktails, meals, and warm fires, in a landscape of fresh lupines and flowers, baby sheep, lush trails and a scenic river. Our guests loved staying in the unique and dreamy accommodations at the A-Frame cabins, Cider House, and Farmhouse. Even with a bit of rain on our wedding day, we had the most fun, intimate, and loving day that we could have ever asked for. Our time at Tops'l felt thoughtfully supported and orchestrated, peaceful and relaxed, and the kind of effortless that you know only really comes with actual intense preparation and an amazing team. Many of our guests were a bit skeptical why we were bringing them out to mid coast Maine, but by the end of the weekend everyone was over the moon with the farm and the area. The vibes here are truly amazing and the farm was the perfect backdrop to our personalized dream weekend! Everything from the friendly and helpful staff, the incredible food and service, to the beautiful and immaculate grounds and lodging was truly top notch. Tops'l brought so many of our people from different walks of life together to have such a joyous and relaxed weekend that felt like a true reflection of us - and we are so grateful!

My husband and I got married at Tops'l Farm on August of 2024 and we cannot recommend the venue enough! The food, drinks, accommodations, staff, scenery, and hospitality were all superb. We had about 150 guests coming in from all over the country, and everyone had the most amazing time. Food: The food at Tops'l is SPECTACULAR. Tops'l catered both our rehearsal dinner and wedding, so I was exposed to a wide range of their work, and all I can say is... their chef, Bonnie, and her team are experts at crafting local, seasonal, delicious meals. Because of the size of our party, we chose to do family style plating for our reception, and it was such a hit with our guests. I was worried that family style would lead to some people not getting enough food, but the opposite was true. There was more than enough food to go around. They are also SO accommodating to allergies and dietary restrictions. I'm gluten free and Tops'l made sure I was able to taste and experience everything. Accommodation: We took over the full property and it felt like summer camp in the best way. Our friends who stayed in the A-frame cabins had so much fun and were super comfortable (even in a rainstorm!). My husband and I stayed in the Cottage which was incredibly cute but also very spacious, and our friends took over the Farmhouse and Cider House. It was so fun to have our favorite people onsite with us, and across the board, everyone had a wonderful time! Working with Tops'l: The people who work at Tops'l really made the experience so special. I was lucky enough to get to know much of their staff, and every single person I worked with was kind, thoughtful, and supportive. We had to make some last minute rain plans the week of the wedding (every bride's nightmare), and I felt instantly at ease once I got on the phone with Tops'l. They helped us figure out a plan B, and really rallied the troops to ensure we had the best weekend. Like any small (ish) wedding venue, they are still working out some of the kinks in the planning process, but everything ended up coming together beautifully. If you're looking for a Maine venue that feels authentic but not kitschy, elevated but not overly formal, warm, inviting, and beautiful, look no further!!

Yelp
I wanted to explore the Midcoast Maine region, and I wanted nature--but I didn't want to rough it or sleep on the ground. I wanted a retreat, but I didn't have a lot of time. And I wanted good food and a bit of company, without feeling overcommitted. Lo and behold, this is exactly what Tops'l Farm provides! With a gorgeous farm setting in Waldoboro, Tops'l is run by Sarah and Josh Pike, where you can do any of the following: * host a glorious event (think gorgeous weddings or reunions) * camp out in an adorable cabins--but think glamping with comfortable beds and a central kitchen/wash house with fire pits and picnic tables, and thoughtful touches like thermoses, coffee and tea, and games * stay in cushier accommodations in a farmhouse and a cider house if you want * take advantage of whatever's on at the event barn, where there are happy hours, seasonal dinners, and yoga classes * wander anywhere on the 80 acres with gorgeous paths through fields and woods and to the river, and spend time with the very friendly sheep and pigs * schedule a massage with one of their AMAZING affiliated practitioners All of the above varies depending on what's scheduled for a particular week--and I was lucky enough to take part in a September retreat called a "Petite Pause," which the owner Sarah has devised as brief 2- to 3-day retreats for women. It's almost impossible to describe how beautifully this was thought out and how restorative it was, even in such a short time--and how the dozen or so of us there bonded (some with friends; others, like myself, on my own). The retreat included morning yoga sessions and a wonderful breakfast; we then had the days to roam and explore, have massages, enjoy the outdoor wood-burning sauna and hot tub, participate in one of the featured workshops (we had jam-making and a human design class), or just . . . relax. We then all met up again for drinks and dinner--the chef features delicious local ingredients, lots from Tops'l's own garden--and enjoyed big fires outside before bedtime. None of this felt rushed or overscheduled (you can participate to the extent you prefer); somehow, the couple of days felt like much much more. I can't recommend the experience highly enough. I'm looking forward to seeing what Tops'l offers for 2024! This is a special place with owners who have worked to create something new while lovingly honoring and restoring the old, and truly showcasing the best of the simple pleasures Maine has to offer.
