Tori Co. by HHG

We made a dinner reservation for three and were seated at the counter. It is quite a nice experience dining here, the staff explain all the platters and drinks. We ordered the Wagyu and chicken set menu, which was quite a lot of food. It was all very tasty. If you dine from 8pm onwards you don’t have to order the big set menu, there is a smaller set menu and à la carte options available (you can order à la carte with the big set menus but we did not do that as there was already plenty of food). Very good for meat lovers!

Everything was delicious! Yakitori are very well grilled. It is a small shop and the staffs are very attentive. Food arrived very quickly despite the restaurant being full. Chicken and leek was tender and flavourful. Lamb neck and lamb meatball were a pleasant surprise. Salad is good and helped to cut through the heaviness of the yakitori. Had a wonderful dinner here. Highly recommended.

Totally enjoyed this for a bit of tradition, mixed with the intrigue and social side of making our own. Thankfully they kicked us off with flavoursome combinations of yakatori. So many laughs and really tasty results thanks to the Tori Co team. The place was packed with others having a similarly enjoyable time. Needed the walk home. Would definitely recommend!

Incredible food. Have visited a couple of times now and always a treat. The Yakaroi and Shabu Shabu combo total winner. Setting and ambience is nice. Its not a large venue. Not the cheapest - ¥68,000 for a family of four with alcohol - but well worth it. Book to avoid disappointment

Odd experience with unfortunate flavours but well meaning staff. We unexpectedly pre-ordered the hot pot, which included a very challenging set of three proteins- two of which don’t lend themselves to boiling in broth (duck and chicken). It was not an inexpensive meal so the lack of flavour was pretty challenging to take lightly. The meat that was delivered pre-cooked on skewers prior to the hot pot was a bit of a mix, certainly not to everyone’s taste, so one person in our party benefited greatly. The staff we’re really helpful (all serving staff seems to be Australian) but, as seems to be the case at most places, your first order might as well be your last (no water refills or second beer or wine without flagging someone down in dramatic fashion). Overall a bit of a let-down. Would suggest steering away from the set menu, at the very least.

Really enjoyed the food here! Everything was tasty and the flavors were just right. The grilled dishes were amazing — especially the deer meat, wagyu beef, kimchi, and gyoza. Totally wow! The food didn’t take too long to arrive, which was a big plus. Would definitely come back again!

Everything at Tori Co was amazing, especially the yakitori—perfectly grilled with a wonderful smoky aroma. The staff were incredibly attentive and welcoming. I’d definitely recommend the yakitori

Wish there was a 6th (or 10th) star to review this restaurant. We revisited for a 4th time tonight this trip because the food is insanely delicious. Jaw-dropping. Intimate and homely setting with the warmest staff. Highly recommend the wagyu, pork with yuzu, chicken with plum, negima, scallops with butter, and red chilli karaage. Super fresh kimchi too. Definitely coming back next ski trip with our friends and family.
