I like it here! Difficult to park and very casual but I still love coming. Great Spicy Ramen. Sometimes I have been here before and had some things I haven’t loved but today was good again. It maybe depends on who is working.

Google
I ordered the chicken karaagedon for pick up. It's delicious and included some veggies, a generous portion of well seasoned chicken topped with a drizzle of (spicy mayo?) sauce and half an egg. The restaurant looked clean and I was promptly greeted by an employee. My order was ready early as well! Thank you! I'll be back next time I'm in town 😃

Google
I'm only giving this place 4 stars because they removed a special from their menu, the Loco Moco as it was a limited time thing. My girlfriend was absolutely devastated by this news as she loved every bite of that meal and thought it was an amazing meal. She went back to have it several days in a row. 🤤🥺 The food here is delicious and whatever you get will be delicious. I like the atmosphere despite the location being small. The employees are friendly and they look like they are on a mission to feed people good food.

My first time here and the food was so delicious. I had the Curyy Udon so yummy I couldn't Even finish it. Will be returning again. Loved the Sake in a box my personal little box.

Great place, good Ramen, warm attention from Alanah, check specials every day!

Google
Great food, looks delicious and tastes delicious. Friendly staff, coming back here if I have a chance. Love from Cleveland, OH

Google
Fantastic meal - I had the Tom Yum Ramen with Shrimp, Hot Sake and a Japanese sour beer "Sawa" with sour ale and sudachi juice. Slamming if you enjoy spicy food!!! Add to it that I got a parking spot directly across the street from this place and our server, Alana E was EXCELLENT! Another great meal out!!! Absolutely a "must try" place in downtown Providence. We shall return!!!

Google
Great experience at Tori Tomo. Got seated fairly quickly despite busy lunch time. The server was a bit rushed but warmed up to us as we ate. Food was delicious: best plate of fresh and warm Edamame ever with garlic and spice, and also one of the best broth for a bowl of Ramen. They even divided it equally in two bowls for us (much appreciated), we also ordered a takeout box and it came well packed. Tables are a bit close to each other..but who cares when the food is so yummy!! 😃

Yelp
Just wanted to give a quick, much-deserved shout out to the server Sky (with the fun colored eyebrows) who holds it down at Tori Tomo. Sky knows exactly what I mean when I call & ask about the corn situation. They say "oh yeah, we have the good corn" & totally hook it up every time. Thank you kindly, from this corn obsessed person, for understanding me!

Max W.

Yelp
This ramen shop is cute and small. Anime and samurais on the wall. We gave a few small plates a try. The pork buns were well cooked but dry. Chicken ramen, salty. It warmed the shivers The Chicken Katsu always delivers.

Yelp
We haven't been to Tori Tomo in a while, but still had fond memories of this place so when we had a ramen craving, we immediately decided it was time to stop in again! We dined in over the summer (sorry i'm late to my reviews this year) and it just didn't hit the way it used to. We ordered the pork belly baos to start. and when they came out, there was an egg on each one. My fiance and i were confused cause we don't remember an egg being included the last time we were here, although that was quite some time ago, we thought maybe they changed the ingredients in this item to include it. Ramen was okay, was luke warm. We got the bill and they charged an extra 2$ to add the egg on the pork belly baos that we DID NOT ASK FOR nor were we asked if we wanted to add it. We ordered pork belly buns assuming it was just that. Yes it's only 2$ but to sneakily do that without asking or informing the customer just doesn't sit right. Very disappointing meal, and likely will not return.

Yelp
I love ramen. Ever since my Los Angeles days I have been on the hunt to get my fill of the perfect bowl. I'm a man of habit and when I find something I like I stick to that- I simply love their Ichiraku ramen. Since Ganko (on Thayer) and Ken's (now Tori Tomo) closed down, I have been looking for something to fill my ramen cravings. This does the trick and does not disappoint. Definitely worth a try. Fast service, small inside with nice decor and limited outdoor seating in the heart of Downtown Providence. I often get takeout and would recommend.

Antia P.

Yelp
Small but mighty ramen spot. Sky was an amazing Host and server. 10/10 and the ramen was even better! I tried the ichiraku ramen on their Monday Craft night. I highly recommend visiting.

Rebecca B.

Yelp
I visited Tori Tomo to grab a quick lunch - I was immediately seated and it got progressively busier as I was dining in. A good sign. For an appetizer, I ordered the Wonton Szechuan, which was DELICIOUS! Super flavorful and filling. Absolutely loved it. For ramen, I ordered the Ichiraku ramen. I thought it was fine. Broth was fine. Plentiful of ingredients that paired well. It just wasn't my favorite. If I were to come back, I will try another ramen dish. I would also try the other appetizers and their alcohol specials as well. Although the location is small, it is still worth checking out for some ramen in the city.

Elena D.

Yelp
Ordered take out from here, good packaging, ramen was fresh with good portions. Pork was tender and tonkotsu broth was very tasty. Would recommend!

Krystine R.

Yelp
I wish I had remembered to take pictures of everything, because I barely remember the names of what we ordered but everything was so delicious! We ordered a bunch of small plates to share and they came out as they were ready, which I prefer because I like trying everything hot and fresh. Our ramen meals were super yummy. Service was efficient, nothing spectacular. The inside is bright and clean, definitely setup for quick turnover vs a long leisurely evening. Lots of unique drink options as well! I'd definitely return.

Kat J.

Yelp
I have to be honest, we only ended up here because the restaurant next door had an hour wait. However, I am glad we had dinner here as the food was delicious and service was so prompt. We had the ramen and the pho poutine, the latter was a special for the day. Both were really good, especially the ramen. The cocktails were also good and reasonably priced. We were able to get in and out within 45 min, perfect since we were exhausted from a full day of traveling and glad to get some good quick food in order to call it a day.

Kenneth C.

Yelp
This is one of my go-to spots for a quick bite when I'm in Providence. Specializing in Ramen, they don't have a ton of options but the options they have are great. I always get the edamame and a bowl of ramen here. Reasonably priced and quick on getting food out even when it's packed, the only downside with this restaurant is that it can be tough to get a table because seating is limited. I usually try to go right before or right after the diner rush and haven't ever had to wait very long.

Cole B.

Yelp
Some of the beat ramen and service you can find. Small quaint place, great atmosphere.

Mark T.

Yelp
As I sit here thinking of what to write, the words "good stuff" come to mind. There is nothing mind-blowing about Tori Tomo, but at the same time, I don't have any complaints. I ordered the pork belly bun and the miso ramen. Decided to keep it simple today. The pork belly bun was likable with great savory-salty flavors, but a little sauce would have been welcome. The meat was tenderish but did not melt in your mouth. I also liked the pickles that added crispness and acid and would have loved some more. Also, a quick note: I ordered these with the tea egg (there is an option without), and while great on its own, together with the bao, it seems extra and unnecessary. The ramen was similarly solid and had a very flavorful broth with a pleasant texture. The noodles were great, and the pork belly pieces within were very tender and did melt in your mouth. While I would not have minded a bit of extra protein (who does?), it was well-balanced. It had a fair amount of vegetables in the form of bean sprouts and very flavorful mushrooms. The broth's heartiness made me forget that more pork would've been welcome. As for the service, I found it to be attentive and speedy. The location, meanwhile, is small but inviting and trendy (goodness, I hope I'm using this word right). While I may not return to Rhody for this place, do take notice of Tori Tomo if you're nearby looking for a solid bowl of Ramen at a reasonable price.

Kris D.

Yelp
First time here, 6 people, everyone loved their dish, atmosphere was loud enough to laugh loud but not too loud that you can't hear, 1 waitress for the whole place but she was worth waiting for, ramen was outstanding.

Volkan G.

Yelp
Mediocre ramen companied a waiter with horrible attitude. Providence deserves better. Calling out chefs interested in going into Ramen business. Providence needs you.

Zoe S.

Yelp
I came here on a rainy day which was perfect for ramen. I wish it was creamier and. Broth was a bit lacking flavor. But with extra spices I was able to bring it to my liking

Mike D.

Yelp
Great food great service I ordered a takeout and it was amazing. I was trapped in a hotel with my girl who was so so sick, I got a food order and was so happy with it. Great food and a cool spot.

Stephanie T.

Yelp
This was my second time at Tori Tomo. Located right in dowcity, they have options to sit inside or outside. There is a huge anime drawing on the wall when you walk in. I had the Pretty Pineapple cocktail which has diamond sake, hibiscus tea, pineapple juice honey, rose prosecco. It was very refreshing. We shared the curry croquettes that we saw on the specials blackboard. This had really good flavor. Other apps that I had before was the wonton Szechuan and that was pretty good too. I had the Gyu Don donburi (rice bowl) which is thinly sliced sirloin beef, organic mushroom medley, caramelized onions, broccoli, sweet soy and brown butter for $14. I felt like the portion was a little small, but it was filling. This was delicious and enjoyed every single bite. My husband had the ichiraku ramen which is pork tonkotsu broth, pork belly, shitake, narutomaki for $15. He enjoyed it as well. Though there was only 1 hostess/server, service was great. The wait for food wasn't too long and we were seated right away when we came.

Chayenne V.

Yelp
Nice restaurant in downtown Providence with a small seating area. I ordered mala ramen and yaki udon. I found the ramen broth slightly underwhelming but still good, while the yaki udon was rich and flavorful. The hot sake was so so, however. The ambience in the restaurant was pleasant and cozy. We will be back next time to try other dishes and cocktail. It's only steps away from Maruichi if you want to combine going to both.

Vicky L.

Yelp
Ordered to go: I got the Ichiraku Ramen $15 and my friend got the Tomato Ramen $15. Ichiraku Ramen - The pork tonkatsu broth was flavorful, a bit salty but that's a typically ramen broth lol The pork belly was tender and good amount of shitake mushrooms. Tomato Ramen - Great tomato broth and absolutely loved the organic mushroom tempura! Also loved how they used FRESH corn instead of canned corn. There was lots of tofu and vegetables!

Rebecca M.

Yelp
Tori Tomo has a super convenient location in the heart of Providence, and I really did love the vibe of the place, but I wasn't blown away by the quality of the ramen. Maybe it's the ramen I chose? I ordered the veggie Tom Yum ramen which was $15. I'm used to super flavorful ramen where the broth has a lot of time to develop flavor. This ramen just didn't deliver on the depth of flavor I associate with ramen broth. If you go and you're vegetarian perhaps a different broth would serve you better?

Kayla A.

Yelp
One of my go to ramen spots. Solid food and fast service at a decent price. Inside has semi limited seating so wouldn't recommend for a big crowd but amazing for a solo or duo ramen spot. Has cool anime inspired mural on the wall.

Kem P.

Yelp
Rainy days call for cozy moments at my favorite ramen haven in Providence, RI - Tori Tomo. I ordered a steaming bowl of Miso ramen, featuring a rich pork miso broth, tender pork belly, and earthy shiitake mushrooms. Of course, I couldn't pass up that perfect soft-boiled egg, nestled amidst a garden of fresh veggies!

Christopher A.

Yelp
Cute little restaurant with a nice vibe. Had great service and great value. Had the vegan Ramen and it was awesome. If ever in town again, I will be there again for sure!

Angel P.

Yelp
A large group of us came less than an hour before closing but the staff were still accommodating and provided great service. My partner and I ordered the pork belly buns (with eggs), and I ordered the miso ramen and he ordered the ichiraku ramen. The pork belly buns tasted better than they looked and I enjoyed the pork belly flavor. The pork belly fell apart easily too. The miso broth was better flavorful than the ichiraku in my opinion. The noodles were ok. Decent ramen, but it seems like good ramen for the area. We also got a yuzu lager which was good and I recommend. They also have a few unique ramens like tom yum, mapo tofu and tomato. Service was great and both staff members were very attentive. There was a mix-up on a food order, but they did their best to fix it. The restaurant itself is clean and well decorated. There is indoor and some outdoor seating. Inside is small and there are two large tables (fits 8 people) so it can be difficult to fit a large group.

Franchesca D.

Yelp
This place was so so so yummy and and worth the trip. The waitress was super nice... service was on point.

Caitlin K.

Yelp
I was too excited to eat so almost forgot to take a picture inside! Located right in downtown providence Tori Tomo has a lot of unique fusion styles of ramen. I got the tomato ramen which was surprisingly unique tasting. It was kinda sweet sour but made with ramen. I would definitely recommend for anyone who enjoy tom yum soup.

Victoria K.

Yelp
I'm sold. I stopped by for lunch to satisfy a ramen craving when I was too lazy to walk a bit further and uphill to another ramen spot I had previously tried. I'm so glad I did! Not only is it a cozy and cute spot, but the menu is quite dynamic, and the food I tried so far was excellent! I opted for the miso ramen and it was absolutely delicious. I'm pretty particular about my pork belly too, and I found it was a perfectly melt-in-your-mouth texture and I would happily order this dish again in the future. I found many other menu items appealing as well, and I definitely plan to come back to try more of the menu, although I'm pretty sure I will be tempted to just keep ordering the same ramen I so enjoyed at today's lunch.

Connie W.

Yelp
The ramen here is pretty mid, but considering that it is located in Rhode Island, I would say that it's decent. There was only one server here but they were pretty nice. The miso ramen and ichiraku ramen are pretty good, but the mala ramen is very very mildly spicy and not numbing (má) at all. The kimchi ramen and gyudon are oddly sweet and did not taste great. The bao and Brussel sprouts however are pretty good. I am also confused as to why arugula is being added to ramen ... was seaweed not an option? I think this place would be a nice stop for a casual lunch, but I've definitely had better ramen.

Linda A.

Yelp
Food is out of this world. We had miso ramen with chicken katsu, beef udon, and tomato ramen. Everything was amazing. Service was disinterested and a bit rude, but we brushed it off. The food makes up for everything.

Gillian K.

Yelp
Small hidden away spot in the heart of Providence. We had some great drinks. The food was nice, though mine was a little shy of what I expected.

Karl S.

Yelp
We were passing by and hungry, and Tori Tomo wasn't too busy, so we luncheoned. I started with Tako Yaki, deep fried batter balls with octopus inside. OK but not inspiring. G ordered the KFC cauliflower bites. Yum! G ordered the Yasai Don rice bowl. Excellent! And I had vegetarian ramen. It was good and HUGE. Looking forward to a return trip to TT.

Otniel L.

Yelp
I've been to Tori Tomo more times than I can count, unfortunately I never yelped about it and that ends NOW!! Love this spot, great food, service and location. This restaurant is a bit small, so you may have to have a plan B if it's a busy night...no worries, KINPVD, a soul food spot is next doors. I had the Brussel Sprouts, Fries, Steak & Cheese Special, Ichiraku Ramen and the Vietnamese Iced Coffee. The Brussel Sprouts are crispy, moderately sweet with a nice crunch from the fried onions. The fries aren't anything spectacular, but they're fried perfectly with the right amount of seasoning. The Vietnamese Ice Coffee is crave worthy, STRONG flavors and moderately sweet, but hits the spot. The Steak & Cheese special isn't currently on the menu. It is a unique sandwich with steak, cheese and rice?!?! Decent sandwich but too many carbs for me. Just an FYI, I'm a Ramen junkie, 9/10 times Ramen is the dish I crave. This one is soo good, nice rich broth with all of the typical fixins, don't miss out on this Ramen, it's a MUST! -ODL

Sarah L.

Yelp
One of the best ramen spots in the area! So delicious. We ordered the Karaage as an appetizer, and got the Ichiraku ramen (from Naruto!!) and the Miso Ramen. Personally I liked the Ichiraku ramen WAY more than the Miso ramen. I don't recommend the Miso ramen because the miso flavor tastes off and the combo of ingredients just didn't taste right. The Karaage had the perfect crispiness and paired so well with the sauce. The Ichiraku ramen was incredible! The broth was so rich and savory, and the pork belly was so tender. The ramen noodles held onto the broth extremely well, such a flavorful meal. I did not like the Miso ramen broth, as it did not taste like the typical miso soup. It had an odd taste, but still eatable. Overall, lovely ramen spot! Will definitely return if I'm craving ramen, and will try the other appetizers and ramen options.

Brian S.

Yelp
I read someone post here that they didn't find the food or their experience here mind-blowing. Firstly, they must have not have ordered correctly. Secondly, and significantly more important, you go to restaurants to get your mind blown? Um, it's food, dude. Relax. I ordered the Chicken Katsu Sando and I wish I had gone to this restaurant earlier in the day I spent in Providence and had a sit down meal. I ordered this to go and it was truly sublime (see how that's not mind-blowing but it's still a deep appreciation?). I couldn't believe how great it was - a huge portion of chicken and the breading seemed so light. A multitude of flavors from different seasonings. I loved the hostess/server - she was like a young, vibrant Parker Posey - so nice. I noticed the guy whose mind wasn't blown is from Quincy, MA. 'Nuff said.

Ellen G.

Yelp
The service is very good; polite and attentive. The seating is communal at the large tables with a few small tables for two. And the wall art is fun. The food is good, tasty and delicious.

Maggi N.

Yelp
This is my second time at Tori Tomo and it did not disappoint! This time we tried some appetizers, the Brussel sprouts and the Garlic Chili Edamame! Both appetizers were delicious and I would order them again. The Shio Ramen was very good. They have us a good amount of broth and ramen noddles. I didn't feel like there was more broth than noddles, it was the perfect amount. I loved all the veggies the ramen came with and I didn't have to ask for any extra veggies. The broth was delicious and it was not too salty. The chicken ramen was a perfect dish for a cold day walking around Providence!!

Kyel R.

Yelp
This place bang. Ordered the pork belly ramen, with warm sake and blooming tea. Ensuring a good. The noodles were good and they don't slight you. This ramen spot is pretty good.

Thomas S.

Yelp
Mala Ramen at Tori Tomo Ramen in Providence, RI. Bowl included Spicy Szechuan Broth, Yu Choy, mushroom medley, 1/2 soft boiled egg and Chashu. This was supposed to be their spiciest bowl, however it was relatively mild in comparison to the spicy bowls at Zurich Zurich Ramen, Walt Waku Ramen and Anju Noodle Bar. Still an amazingly flavorful bowl and this ramenya is recommended. Service was good.

Greek M.

Yelp
We've been here a few times prior and the food was spot on but this last visit was disappointing. Had the spicy tuna guacamole which was very tasty - portion is on the smaller size. The spicy brisket ramen was a miss though - not incredibly seasoned or spicy and only 3 small thin slices of beef and half an egg? Skimping on both proteins and the mid broth made it a miss for me.

Chen-Tan L.

Yelp
This was yummy! The KFC cauliflower was very good, even as takeout. The pork broth ramen and deliciously savory pork belly was perfect for a rainy Providence evening at the end of a long cross-country travel day.

Karla M.

Yelp
First thing you notice when you first step in is the art on the wall and the bright red chairs to contrast the neutral colors. There is plenty of space whether you're with a large group, small group, or just two people. I'm not sure if they do reservations though. The food came out quickly considering there were quite a few people there. We started out with the Kara-A-Ge. A few words to describe the chicken is crispy, tender, moist, and savory. The dipping sauces are opposites where one is a spicy mustard and the other is a sweeter sauce like honey mustard. The ramen was DELICIOUS! The mala ramen is spicy so be cautious if you're not into spicy foods. I loved the corn in the Ichiraku ramen-it didn't come with it but I asked to have it added. The noodles were perfect in both ramens. The egg was also amazing and cooked to perfection. I would recommend adding the chili pepper flakes and oil to the ichiraku since it's not spicy. I am excited to come back and try their other options on the menu. Parking is a bit complicated since it's downtown but there's street parking (meter daily except free on Sundays) or lots for about $20. Or, if you don't mind walking, you could park for $2 at the mall (up to 2 hours or more $ after that).

Tamanna G.

Yelp
A trendy restaurant with Asian fusion dishes. They have Malay, Thai and Japanese dishes with twist. They have an extensive menu so you're bound to find something you like. They also offer desserts and boba. They have indoor and outdoor seating. There are two public garages beside the restaurant, and on street parking. They validate parking. Tried their spicy Tom Yum, the flavor was amazing but a little tangy. Highly recommended for ramen or curry. The staff is helpful and attentive.

Ashley B.

Yelp
Small little gem in downtown Providence! Ramen is quite good, and doesn't seem to have MSG like some other places! We tried Miso, Shio and Ichiraku ramen and all of them have flavorable taste! Lots of little unique dishes! Didn't get to try much cos we were there for lunch. We did have the Thai Street Corn that has its unique ingredients - coconut milk, cheese, 7 spice and cilantro! Yummy!

Cathy Z.

Yelp
Usually I'm thrilled if a ramen place has one vegetarian/vegan option on the menu. Well, other restaurants need to step up their game because Tori Tomo has a solid half-dozen vegan options. I had the tomato ramen which I've never seen before at any other ramen place. The broth has a beautiful light tomato flavor and is just as deliciously greasy as typical pork ramen. The noodles are perfectly cooked and super bouncy and fresh. The tempura mushrooms steal the show as a topping: they soak up some of the broth but still add a bit of crispy texture to the dish. It can get pretty busy but the service is really fast, so don't get too discouraged if there's a few people ahead of you. Especially now that the weather is nice enough for outdoor seating! You can also get take out if you don't want to wait. I definitely want to come back and try some more of the vegan options, like the squash and tofu bahn mi. I just had a Japanese beer this time around but the sake selection and sake cocktails also sound really good. Thank you Tori Tomo for satisfying my vegan ramen craving!!

TJ S.

Yelp
My first dining experience at Tori Tomo today. After Ken's Ramen closed more than a year ago, the only other real ramen joint was Ganko Itetsu Ramen on Thayer St. Many ramen fan knows that Ganko serves Sapporo style ramen. They are excellent and I go there a lot. But, I personally wanted another joint to widen the variety. Sure enough, Yelp! Reminded me that there is another ramen joint in Providence. Just so that you know it is at the exact location of Ken's. I am happy to report that this place is more spacious, has a wider variety of menu items besides ramen. Vietnamese Bhan Mi sandwiches and Korean Saam buns. I had the tonkotsu based Ichiraku ramen tonight with KFC, i. e. Fried Cauliflower. I thought that the $8 price tag on the KFC was on a high side, nonetheless it was gone in 2 minutes. Very good combination of heat and sourness with tangy sauce. This place has a different vibe than Ganko and different style menu. I like it a lot. I will have to come back again to try all other items on the menu soon.

Rachel M.

Yelp
My partner and I have been on a quest for the best ramen in Providence and stopped in Tori Tomo the other day after hearing rave reviews. Interestingly enough, I'd had some traditional Japanese ramen the day before in NYC. As soon as I stepped into Tori Tomo, I knew this wouldn't be traditional ramen. The decor is modern with black and white comic book drawings on the wall, and the menu boasts an assortment of creative sake cocktails. In addition to ramen, they also offer some appetizers and full Japanese dishes. But I was there for the ramen. I ordered the tomato ramen and my husband tried the miso ramen. When the food came out, the server delivered us two ginormous bowls filled with soup, noodles and veggies. Mine was delicious. The broth had some kick but not too much (they do have spicier ramen) and came topped with broccoli and fried mushrooms. It was too much to eat. I had to take some home. This was definitely a unique twist on ramen, but it works.

Arnold C.

Yelp
I have to give this place a 4 star because of the service, the food was amazing though. The miso ramen I got was very rich in flavor and there's was a good amount of noodles and meat. What I did not like was how within 5 minutes of getting my food, the worker put the bill on my table and said whenever you're ready. To me that is disrespectful, only serve the bill until the food is finish.

Gabriela L.

Yelp
It was a gloomy and rainy day which made it the perfect excuse for ramen. We showed up for an early dinner (around 6pm) and were seated promptly. The place did get a little busier around 7pm and there was only one waitress. Even though there was only one waitress, we didn't have to wait very long for our order to be taken or to get our food. She was excellent and super attentive. We ordered the Tako Yaki and that was very rich! There's a little chunk of octopus inside and is very hot when it first comes out. I took a giant bite and it was not the best idea but I have no regrets. I had the Ichiraku ramen and my partner had the spicy brisket ramen. Both were really good and I asked for chili oil on the side to give my ramen a kick. I would definitely come back again.

Lani P.

Yelp
Hot garbage and shameful appropriation. We came here a few times pre-pandemic and I liked the broth and their approach to ramen, but just went back and the broth was underdeveloped and oily. You could not taste the tomato flavor in the tomato ramen. We waited 30 minutes for our ramen which is highly suspect. In addition, the server was impatient and rude.
