Love bumping into "new to me" record shops. This visit did not disappoint. Found some Old-School Hip Hop 12"ers. Can't wait to come back and get into them racks.

Awesome store with an excellent social media presence. Staff is cool as can be and the prices and selections of both rare and more common stuff are killer. They get incredible records in constantly and the vibe is always chill. Be sure to visit them and support small biz!!!

Really well-curated records and books, great place all around.

It’s awesome how the best jazz shop in the city has also quietly become one of the best bookstores here, too. Incredibly reasonable prices for everything, including a robust noise/experimental section, lots of industrial, regular drops of ECM, and a nice amount of tapes and CDs! The book selection is an incredibly tasteful mix of literary standards, new copies of Verso/ Semiotexte/ fitzcarraldo/ NYRB type stuff, as well as sooo many wonderful used oddities in the $5 ish range. My only ask is to keep expanding that electronic / dance / techno section, there’s lots of collections to be acquired in this city and the selection at the shop could use some fattening up!

Torn Light has a wonderful selection of vinyl, especially if you fancy jazz and experimental music. There’s also a well curated selection of very cool second hand books, tapes, CDs and some t-shirts. The prices are extremely reasonable and the staff could not be friendlier. I love the vibes in this place.
