Cadiz does offer a decent amount of great food, sunshine, and good vibes.
Toro tapas is rightly adjacent to the famous bodega Osborne, and we got the chance to try some of the sherry wine from right next door. The wait staff recommended 2 different kinds— one sweeter and one dryer. The sweet wine was quite strong, whereas the dryer one was refreshing in this hot weather.
we also got to try the 5J cured ham and paired it with their truffle cheese. at first i thought it was going to be too heavy, but the truffle cheese had a very mellow flavor and didn't overpower anything at all. The fried calamari (they call it choco here) is well breaded and seasoned, and paired well with the tangy sauce. Then the main dish we tried the foie with 5J lomo with mash potatoes, and it was so yummy.
We got quite full already with their bread basket because the olive oil they offered was so good that we couldn’t stop eating the bread. I know the south is famous for its olive oil, but this is another level.
The outdoor space is also super cute, they also had shades so it wouldn’t get too hot.
Overall I recommend this restaurant! 10/10 experience!!
