Dominating the skyline between Piazza delle Erbe and Piazza dei Signori, the Torre dei Lamberti is the city’s medieval watchtower. It offers the single best vantage point to understand the layout of Verona, from the winding river to the red rooftops.
You have two choices: climb the 368 steps for a workout, or take the transparent elevator (which covers most of the way, leaving just a few flights of stairs at the top). The elevator ride itself offers a cool cross-section view of the tower's interior architecture.
