Torre del Moro in Orvieto, Italy, is a magnificent medieval tower that offers visitors a glimpse into the town's rich history and stunning panoramic views. Standing tall at 47 meters, this iconic structure dates back to the late 13th century and decorates the skyline with its imposing presence. Originally constructed as a watchtower, it has witnessed the passage of time and served various purposes, including housing a water tank. Visitors can climb its 236 steps to reach the top, where they are rewarded with breathtaking views of the surrounding Umbrian landscape and the charming town below. The clock added in the 19th century continues to keep time, a testament to the enduring legacy of this historical gem. Safe travels my friends 🙏♥️😊

Another site included in the Orvieto Carta Unica. 230 steps to the top (although the first 60 can be skipped by the elevator). The stairs are modern, but in the walls, as you ascend, you will see the notches where the original stairs would have been. At the top you can walk all the way around. Spectacular views in all directions over the city and beyond to the countryside. If you can manage the stairs, the view is certainly worth the climbing.

Highlight of our day trip to Orvieto. Amazing views of the entire city and countryside. It is 200+ stairs to walk up to the top. Can show up and buy the tickets on site.

After 250 steps or so you are rewarded with great 360 views of Orvieto and the surrounding area. Ticket price was €3.80 per person, and €3.00 for students. There’s a lift that saves your quads 70 steps or so. Definitely worth seeing if you are up to the challenge!

One of the best towers I have climbed in Italy, one you are on the top, you will be rewarded with spectacular views of Orvieto, its majestic Duomo, winding streets and the beautiful cypress-dotted Umbrian plains.

If you have the knees and lungs to climb (and descent) 240 stairs, you'll get the prize of gazing at the wonderful scenic views of the beautiful city of Orvieto. The elevator was out of order, so...

After descending the 54 meters of St. Patrick's well, to keep fit, you can go up the 47 meters of the thirteenth-century "Del Moro" tower. The reward is a nice 360° view over Orvieto. An elevator will help you to reach the first floors. The admission price is €3.80 or it is included in the €25 "ORVIETO CARTA UNICA" cumulative ticket.

Let’s start with the hard part, this has a lot of steps (170) so before you go make sure that you can make the climb. Once on the top the views are absolutely amazing. With you already being in Orvieto which is on a hill you can see everything in the surrounding valley for the top of the Torre del Moro.
