Le Marne Relais Hotel Review | Hotels Above Par

"In the nearby village of Barbaresco, the namesake tower houses a winemaking museum and offers 360-degree views over the Langhe region, standing as a vantage point where visitors can take in the landscape and learn about the place where the famous Barbaresco wine was first created in 1894." - Mariangela Rossi

Well worth the €10 fee to walk or elevator up for the views. The complementary map is a keeper. The cafe is also good!

Very nice viewing spot over barbaresco area. You get a good grasp on the area and what it looks like from up here.

Second time experiencing the wine tasting at the tower, and each visit leaves me eager for more. The wines were all exceptionally delicious, and the insights shared during the tasting were enriching and enjoyable. The blend of knowledge and entertainment made the experience truly delightful. And we had so much fun, highly recommended!

The food at the bistro was delicious and fairly priced, especially for a tourist place. Quick and friendly service. Sunset view was breathtaking. I highly recommend visiting this place.

Using and paying 6 € for a lift to climb a mere 30 metres in a "so-called" 900 years plus old tower ... what a shame ! And you call that historic ! And what about your prices for a glass of wine at 30€ per head for instance ... welcome to the world of rip off places !

Medieval tower offers a great view of the whole area. Once you are there you can use the opportunity to sample local wines and food.

A really must if you are in the area. A very knowledgeable guide guides you through the wines of the region and let’s you experience the smell, color, and aroma of each wine and why we can taste the different regions. And the view from the top of the tower after tasting the regions is just magical!

Came during offseason and just a few strollers through town. Enjoyed my own personal tasting event at Gigi Bianco, small producer is some of the best wines in the region. Place is magic.
