Tortuga Bay Hotel at Puntacana Resort

We loved Tortuga Bay! The service was absolutely top notch, and the rooms were fantastic. Our bed was so comfortable, and we loved that we each had our own bathroom. We went for our anniversary, and the staff personalized our experience. They made us customized bike nameplates with a sweet note on the back of each and gifted them to us upon departure. The food, service, and ambiance at Bamboo for breakfast, lunch, and dinner was phenominal, and same for La Yola for dinner. We went back to La Yola for our last dinner. Bao (at The Westin property) was more family friendly if you are traveling with young kids, so this was less of a fit for our romantic getaway. The massages at the spa were some of the best I've received in 20 years. Torguga Bay was a win. Note that if you are beach people, the Dominican Republic has seaweed issues for a few months in the summer, so make sure to check before booking. We are pool people, so we were happy with the scene there. Be sure to check out the local Ojos lagoons. We rode our bikes there to explore on our own and loved it. You can also take your golf cart - another nice, fun touch! We didn't golf or ride horses or check out the polo, but there's adventure for all. Can't say enough good things about the staff and service.

Our arrival beginning at the airport was carefree. The grounds were beautiful and manicured, and the rooms were very clean and spacious. We had a nice view of the beach which was less than 50 yards from our room. The staff were so friendly and accommodating with excellent command of English. They went out of their way to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. Food was excellent, and the golf course is a very playable Pete Dye design that is open and picturesque and not overly demanding. Having a private beach is a big plus!

My wife and I stayed at Tortuga Bay for our 10 year anniversary and everything from start to finish was top notch. The VIP service at the airport made everything super convenient and easy for us regarding pickup from the plane, immigration, and bag retrieval.|Each and every hotel staff member was extremely polite and professional. Our concierge service was amazing (Winnifer and Diana). The servers/beach staff always welcomed us with a big smile and great conversation - especially Leandro, Antonio, Carlos and Jonhson! |Everything about the hotel was perfect: our room was super spacious with a great view of the beach. The staff setup the room so nice for our anniversary (balloons, champagne, chocolate, bubble bath with candles) and a nice welcome card from the hotel manager Blanca (who is also super friendly, approachable, professional and we always had great conversations with her). |The food/service at the Bamboo restaurant was terrific for all meals (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner) and the surrounding restaurants were all delicious as well. |The private beach right outside our room was superb with a great beach bar staff, water sport activities, and very relaxing/quiet for my wife and I to enjoy the day however we wanted to. |Having our own golf cart to explore the surrounding areas was also very convenient (including the local Ecological Reserve with extraordinary lagoons!). |My wife and I look forward to coming back to the hotel as soon as possible! |Thank you Tortuga for making this an amazing anniversary trip!!!

The service and staff are so wonderful. I plan on returning just because of the staff and the rooms are super clean and super nice. I love my stay I felt right at home!!!! And I felt safe and carefree to travel around the resort on the nice golf cart that was provided, or you could ride your bicycles go to the gym workout or to the spa. I recommend Tortuga Bay Puntacana alone just for the great friendly staff and the great service that they provide at a top-notch level. I plan on returning very soon. This resort is first class all the way. From check in to check out, the staff and experience was amazing. VIP airport was incredible and the golf carts and bikes are a super perk. We will be back and the staff will remember us. The pool and bar area are welcoming and the rooms are spacious and beautiful.

What a beautiful place! It all started with the meet and greet at the airport which made arrival super easy and fast. Then the entire puntacana hotel grounds were just amazing. Our “room”, more like a villa, was excellent. Above all else, the hotel staff was the best. Our stay was wonderful.

Our stay in Tortuga Bay was magical !|The hotel environment is just so beautiful, extraordinary peaceful, quiet and qualitative. Surrounded by a beautiful Golf siding the sea. Everything is settled to make you experience a wonderful stay.|Our room had a beautiful sea view with a terrasse and was very spacious and comfortable.|All stay long, we were accompanied by two lovely, very kind and very professional ambassadors, Valentina and Yocasta, who helped us in any demand, request, organization, reservations to make our stay perfect and so easy. No need to worry about anything. Everything was held for us. Thanks to both of her.|All the staff, for breakfast (special thanks Alcedo), for our cocktails (special thanks Bernardo), at the restaurant for diner (special thanks Bedi) were so warmly serviable, smily, knowing there job so well. It was a pleasure to see them everyday because they have been contributing so much to our paradise experience. We surely will comeback and I recommend to anyone attracted by a refined place to experience Tortuga bay !

Wonderful family time at Tortuga Bay. Excellent location, nice villa setup , very tasteful on site restaurant , friendly staff. Shout out to all the staff - helpful and friendly. We enjoyed talking to Acedo and listening to him and his band performing live at Bamboo on a Sunday evening - not to be missed.
