Wow, what a view! My friends and I stumbled upon this place after a hike and it was the perfect reward. The panoramic view of Lac Léman is absolutely stunning and you can see for miles. It's a great spot to just sit, relax, and soak it all in. Definitely bring a camera because the photos you can get from here are incredible. Highly recommend a visit if you're in the area! It's a real hidden gem.

The entry now takes contactless credit cards. But what you really should know is that you don't need a car to get here. At the top of the funicular there is a self-serve electric bicycle concession. You can rent a bike and ride through the beautiful countryside to get to the tower. This surprise activity was the highlight of our trip to Vevey. Oh, and the ride to the top of the tower is worth it as long as there is good visibility.

A great walk on the first Saturday of July from the funicular to the radio tower with picturesque views and the platform itself with incredible views - highly recommended. It was not crowded at all and you can pay for the entrance by phone/card.

Visited today, took the funnicular to Mont Pelerin and then walked for an hour along the signposted trail to the tower. The toilets were shut. You pay for the lift either by coins or debit card these days. Press the buttons on the left of the machine to indicate the number of adults/children and then it allows as many people as you paid for through the turnstile. I think it may be one in/one out when it reaches capacity, as occasionally it seems to stop letting people in. Capacity would maybe only be 12 people, as not so much space on the viewing platform.

Gem hidden in the woods. Very nice hike from the station and spectacular views at the top! Was impressed by the construction of this place as well by the fact that it looks completely empty. Very cool! It is a perfect place to shoot scary movies :) There is a machine for banknote change before the gates, but we found it only after we left the viewing platform. Look for a round-shape one-storey building in the territory of the Plein-ciel. Note that you have only one chance to get on top of Plein Ciel when the elevator arrives to pick you up, otherwise you will have to wait for the next tourist to enter the site or someone going down from the top.

Unfortunately for me, the Plein Ciel radio tower and observation deck was closed for maintenance when I visited Mont Pèlerin in mid-April 2023. The rewarding scenic views during the hike to Plein Ciel erased any disappointment about it being closed. A beautiful lush forest surrounds the radio tower.

A scenic place and a must for serious cyclists as this is a steep climb. The walk to the tower can be quite vigorous.

Great views from the top. Don’t forget to carry coins(5chf per person) or 10/20chf notes (there is a machine that could give u change of these notes) , but the machine could run out of coins, so best is to carry coins. You don’t want to hike this much and miss this view for lacking a change of 5chf 😊
