This place used to be my top favorite in the neighborhood. I used to bring friends and family as the atmosphere is very artsy, it was relatively quiet in a way two could maintain a chat comfortably and the food was truly delicious. My most favorite thing was to watch the lady behind the bar making all the cakes and quiches. However, my latest experiences have been quite disappointing. The first time, my friend and I got there at a time the cafe was supposed to be opened (11:30am) but without a notice, it was still closed. The second time around, my mom and I were asked to leave about 15 minutes after we got there as the coffee shop was closing for a private event. Last week, after not visiting the place for few months, I brought a special friend, who was visiting Sofia on a short trip. I got her there with the idea to leave her with the best experience from the city. Instead, the delicious food was gone (they do not maintain homemade options anymore) and was replaced by butter croissants and some small overpriced pieces of carrot cake. The feel was as the place had turned into a shared workspace, with people sitting in the quiet room with their laptops. My friend and I tried to maintain a quiet conversation and yet, felt like we were invading their space. The staff wasn’t very friendly as even though the place wasn’t busy, nobody brought us the drinks when they were ready later and also at the end, ordering us to clean dishes after ourselves. I wouldn’t complain, if asked politely but the tone was requesting and passive aggressive and the girl wasn’t busy with anything else at the same time (it was the two of us and 3 more people co-working in the entire cafe at the time). Not sure I’d recommend the place or visit anymore. I feel very very disappointed.
