Tower Generator

Tower Generator was recommended to me by Eastside Electric to service my Generac generator. So I called them to make an appointment a month ago and didn't hear back. I call once a week and leave a message, still no return call. After reading the reviews, it looks like they did me a favor by not calling me back. They recommended to one of the reviewers to call a different company but if they got a service appointment right away, that company would be no good. Nothing like calling the kettle black.

Very poor installation and service. They had to come out multiple times to dig the trench to the gas lines because they didn't send qualified staff. Electrician they contracted with wound up messing up our houses electrical system (power was flickering on and off after they left). Messed up my $1400 worth of rebates with Kohler, promised to rectify and ghosted me. Owner refused to pitch in half of rebate from Kohler (per Kohler's proposal to rectify), so I was screwed out of a $700 extended warranty, and $700 cash back. Was given the line "well, the other 7 rebates we sent in were fine"; which they took on that responsibility of sending it in; not me. Also has to call multiple times over the installation to get this completed (i.e: no shows, and lack of coordination with propane company). Their "fixing the lawn" after installation was basically sending a low-level person, who showed up, threw grass seed over the non-raked lawn (yes they didn't even pick up the rocks), and left within 15 mins (Photos don't lie)

Great team to work with. 100% of the job 100% of the time. Residential, municipal, commercial, and Industrial back up power.

I just watched a Tower Generator van blow a stop sign going 40. In a parking lot. Absolutely reckless.

My review disappeared. I can’t get these guys on the phone. After reading the other reviews, looks like I lucked out

serviced our generator once, demands payment in advance. I sent them a check a month ago, they still have not scheduled a tech to come out, I am asking for my check back and will now look for another company who actually wants my business.

Horrible horrible horrible! Do not use this company. They are overpriced and the workmanship is sloppy and they do not return calls and when they do they are rude and impatient. STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE IF YOU VALUE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY!!

Never used their service but their employees are rude and profane and drive recklessly in company vehicles

Too many people choose to write only negative reviews on YELP. However, I'm pleased to offer an independent very POSITIVE opinion about TOWER Generator, a great company which just completed installation of my Cummins total home generator. I never imagined just how much labor & coordination were involved. EVERYONE, Chris Atiyeh, president, Tom Tracy, general manager, Rosanne, installation coordinator, Chris Tooker, sales consultant, Tower installation personnel, subcontractors, was professional, friendly & service oriented. Tower more than my expectations. Tower's motto, "Connecticut's Generator Specialists" is accurate - so much so that I recommended Tower to 3 neighbors who have contracted for total home generators from Tower.......RMN, Avon, CT

The Town Inspector just approved my Whole House Generator Installation that Tower Generator completed. I was a Technician for over 35 years and a Customer Service Specialist. Tower Generator certainly got the memo in excellent customer service. From their Sales Force, Schedulers and on down to their Electricians and manufacturer trained technicians, they were all superb. There are many generator companies out there. Tower is the only one I know that you can call 24x7 and get a reply same day. They will answer questions and concerns and if the generator is in need of service they are there to help you get back up. I have a 12 year old Kohler I purchased from Tower and it was not a cheap investment, but knowing when the lights go out I don't have to worry about anything. The generator from Tower was the BEST investment I ever made. Everyone I have had dealings with at Tower from the owner Chris to service to technicians and the office staff are there to help you with what every you need.

Tower Generator came to our rescue! After a call to Chris on a weekend and YES he answered the phone, I was blown away by his and his employees professionalism. He took the time and shared his expertise on all the different generators he services and sells. I was told by another generator company that our generator was totaled and could not be saved. Well, to my surprise the tech was able to fix our generator! These guys are Pros! Do not even think about calling anyone else. Tower was able to get our generator up and running the same day. 100% Satisfied ! Thank you Chris and Doug

We had a power failure this weekend in CT and unfortunately our generator didnt power up. I called Tower Generator with whom we have a service contract. Within half hour we got a response that somebody will be coming and in the next hour, somebody was at our door. In another hour or so, our generator was up and running. Our serviceman was pleasant and professional. I cant be any happier with the service that we got.

BUYER BEWARE!! Tower Generator, located in Canton, CT performed work on my generator at my office located in Mt. Kisco NY. After they serviced my generator, I found out that the technicians are not licensed nor are they certified to work on generators in the State of Connecticut or New York. Needless to say, my generator did not work when they left my property. They out right lied about everything! They didn't even run the generator. I was charged a ridiculous amount of travel expenses for them to come to my office and make matters worse. I was charged for parts that were never replaced. They didn't know how many filters are in the generator. When I questioned the invoice (which did not have the company license number on it as it is required) I was told that they replaced 2 filters when they only replaced one. These guys are con artists! I was sent to court in the State of Connecticut. (not my jurisdiction). I was appalled that the judge sided with Tower Generator. I provided so much evidence against Tower Generator, but yet the decision was made against me. Something was fishy. I have filed a complaint with the Connecticut Consumer Affairs and the New York Department of Licensing. They are investigating Tower Generator in regards to licensing issues and violations. They are looking for anyone who had incompetent and shoddy work done by Tower Generator to come forward and submit a complaint to the State of Connecticut. If anyone is willing to do this please speak up. Avoid this Company! Tower Generator is the most incompetent Generator Company and just lies.. 1. Their employees are not licensed in the State of NY or CT. 2. The employees are not certified to perform work on my generator. They are probably not certified to work on most generators. 3. The State of CT has told us that they are "lawyering up". 4. On all invoices, proposals, internet, etc. license numbers must be displayed. Not on any of Tower Generators proposals, invoices, etc. Now that the State has gone after them, the owner has his license number on the website. The first thing the State of CT states in the annual class is that your license number MUST be on all paperwork, advertisements, and vehicles. 5. Yes, I thought my generator was serviced properly. I never looked at invoices and I wasn't around. Bad mistake. Towers invoices showed they NEVER changed the oil or filters (3) when they took it over. NEVER for 3 YEARS! Diesel motors have to have the oil changed at least once a year. They are completely unprofessional and incompetent. They sent out unlicensed, incompetent technicians who didn't know how to change the clock. 6. The generator was running every Saturday before Towers incompetent technician came and ran the generator. It was not out of fuel. 7. As far as the court, it was a farce. I supplied affidavits and proof of past work, which shows how incompetent Tower Generator is. They just told lies. The State of CT does not enforce companies to be licensed or qualify to do work. 8. If you use this company, do not trust them to work by themselves. Be there and take pictures. I would like to also point out the response below. Why hasn't the company addressed that their technicians are not licensed or certified?

These folks are high integrity skilled workers. Yes you do need to follow up but they have done 2 installs and years of service work all to my 100% satisfaction.

Skilled, professional workers who cleaned up after themselves. Telephone contact was always pleasant and they went the extra mile to assure that questions were answered immediately. The work was coordinated perfectly between Tower Generator and our propane supplier. I would recommend them without hesitation.
