Tower Lodge Motel Invercargill

We only spent one night here but we were very happy with our accommodation. Spotlessly clean. All modern conveniences. Well equipped kitchenette. Parking in front of your room. Fantastic water pressure! Welcoming hosts. We enjoyed a lovely dinner at a restaurant just around the corner called the Saucy Chef. I heartily recommend this place!

Friendly, helpful hosts and great accommodation. Clean, excellent location, and well appointed room. The spa bath was a great way to recover from the Hump Ridge! Highly recommend this motel.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The units are immaculate and have everything you could possibly need. The location is fabulous, walking distance to the town centre, great cafes and places to dine. The hosts were so welcoming, friendly and informative. We would definitely not hesitate to stay here again.

I stayed here in mid-September 2025. The motel reflects the province of Southland – spacious and hospitable. The management were very accommodating and flexible.|The rates were very reasonable. Included in the rate, free of charge was the location. Very near Queens Park (for those ex-pats visiting home) and very near the CBD, all within easy walking distance. Big rooms, very clean, comfortable, with parking and safe (despite Invercargill being a very safe spot anyway), and in a very quiet area. Easy to find and to drive into/out of.

Perfectly located, handy to shops and facilities. Very clean and tidy, informative and helpful managers of the motel. Laundry facilities were handy and well maintained. |Only niggle was the neighbouring rooms TV was quite loud through the bedroom wall at night.

We stayed two nights on both ends of our trip to Stewart island. The service was excellent, James and Val were very accomodating and allowed us to keep our car there while we were away and looked after a cray for us in their freezer. Will 100% be staying here again if we find ourselves back down there. The rooms were clean and tidy and the location is very close to anything you could need.

I enjoyed a lovely stay at Tower Lodge Motel. My husband and I were greeted warmly at reception and were given fantastic recommendations and an overview of Invercargill. Our room had everything we needed and the spa bath was super relaxing after a couple of busy days.

We stayed here only one night. Found it to be a renovated room which was so fresh and clean. My wife was disappointed that we only had the one night here. She wished we had two. Staff were friendly. Easy to find. Would highly recommend. 5 stars all round from us.

There was a pleasant surprise at check-in, I was upgraded. I had booked a Standard One Bedroom Unit, but found myself in the One Bedroom Spa Unit. The unit was very clean. Further, I was impressed by the layout of the bathroom. The space was generous and well-appointed. It reminded me of an expensive hotel. I travelled during the winter, and like many NZ accomodations, it's difficult to keep the living areas warm. Thankfully, the motel also provided a space heater. I left that on all night in the bedroom, and it was perfect.
