This hotel as well as the Market Pavilion Hotel have the cleanest carpet, tile, and grout, out of every hotel in the Charleston area. The reason is because the owner has them cleaned monthly. Most of his employees have worked with him for many years. Some have been with him for 40 plus years. He's a wonderful guy. I feel honored to have had the opportunity to meet him.

We paid a total of $316.00 (7/14/25) for two nights total after taxes and fees. We had a queen bed room. Our room was easily accessible from the outside when we parked around the back. Plenty of shade to park in. Hotel was clean , modern, with a nice bar, restaurant, pool, exercise room and nice lobby. It took us 17 min. to get to King street with traffic. Less with no traffic. Dunkin Donuts a short distance away. Busy road but we got out of hotel with a little patience. Our room was good. fridge worked fine. Microwave in room. Front desk staff and check in experience was good.| Our only criticism about this hotel was the pillows were lumpy. We will likely stay here the next time we travel to Charleston. The downtown hotels are outrageously expensive.

We loved our stay here. Not that far from the beach area. Front desk staff was superb. Our AC malfunctioned and after my husband reported it,she moves us to another room closer to the original one, so moving our things is pretty easy. The TV doesn't have a signal but thats fine we arrived like almost to midnight. So our kids slept. They have restaurant which is great because we do not need to go out and drive for breakfast. The pool is clean and well maintained too. We will recommend it to our friends.

We stayed at this Inn during a visit to Charleston, because the on line ad and inset map made it look a lot closer to Charleston center. Although we got over that, we really weren't pleased with the suite. We upgraded to a suite from a standard room to give our teenage daughter a little more space and privacy, so she was on the other side of the admittedly large room using a pull out sofa as a bed. On the first night the air mattress deflated every 60-90 minutes, leading to a terrible night's sleep for all of us. I explained what happened at the front desk and they said they would have the mattress swapped out when we were out at Patriot Point for the day. That night, same result with the air mattress! So very frustrating because whether they swapped it out to another one with a considerable leak or they just didn't swap it, we had two nights in Charleston that were largely uncomfortable due to lack of quality, drama free sleep, which left us lacking energy throughout the day in the extreme heat. When we checked out I informed the front desk again, and they apologized and said management would reach out to me and they were going to likely adjust the bill. Needless to say, we have heard from the hotel and they charged us the full amount, which we find unacceptable. I own and operate a small business and I would be out of business within a year if I didn't find customers what they paid for, and/or find a way to make up for it in such instances where I fall short of expectations. As a side note, the kitchen sink struggled to drain water so we ended up not using it, and the faucet was loose and rotated when you tried to turn it on.

The hospitality is unreal. We were very pleased with everything there. Stephen as always was great. But not only him but the staff from front desk to housekeeping were all very friendly and helpful. On top of that everyone was very professional. The accommodations were very up to date and the entire hotel was very clean. As a former business owner I commend everyone there for I know how hard it is to maintain this kind of high level excellence. The breakfast buffet at Trotters restaurant is also great. Kudos to Tommie for making the best omelets ever. We will be back to Charleston in the future and will be staying at this hotel again. Thanks so much for making us feel at home.

Google
Rooms were nice and clean! Huge bathrooms! The review last a star because the restaurant inside wasn't that great. the server and bar tender were just the food quality was not. The nachos had us laughing because they are the same nachos when you are home drunk and poor they are what you make. Just shredded cheese melted on some chips with a couple jalapeños on them. Great location if you don't want to fight the traffic of downtown. Stay for the rooms and go somewhere else for the food!

The front desk, housekeeping, restaurant and catering team are fantastic and helped make our stay comfortable! Rooms are clean and spacious, and quiet. Everyone had a smile on their faces and helped us thru a difficult time. Would recommend for events and quick trips.

We’ve stayed here several times in the past and were incredibly disappointed with this stay. Our door only opens if you lift the handle up, the tub is in disrepair, the French door leading to the tub is jammed on one side and will not close more than 30%, and for 3 days now we’ve had to hear a carpet cleaning truck run all day directly outside our window at room 125. Thank god we only have one more night. The sprinkler heads in the roof have rust damage and most alarmingly when my wife needed her swipe card reset I went to the counter and they asked for no ID or name just asked what room and gave it to me, showing anyone with a room key can get rekeyed to any room. All for $200/night.

Yelp
We loved the hotel, very clean and very nice. We would have given it 5 stars, if not for a couple snafus. One, we had a weird experience with the door locks. Our keys would have to be put in 3 or 4 times before we gained a green light to enter. Two, the housekeeping was not done on our first night. We went to the front desk, and were told it was locked from the inside and no one answered. We were out of the hotel by 9, so housekeeping came before 9 when someone is not scheduled to check out?? The situation was rectified with new towels and the room was clean the next night, even though we left about the same time. The pool was a lovely place to spend a morning with a cup of coffee (no I did not get in)

Yelp
My wife had been here before with a friend and gave it rave reviews. Since then, I've been pining to give it a try. Last night was my chance. Loved it! I'm patient when I arrive at a venue late in the evening, so I can't fault the lack of service staff. What I can say is the staff did everything they could to make our dinner special ! Check out that fried chicken plate with rice pilaf and some of the best collard greens I've ever had. It was better than expected and way better than any "fast food" fry. Now, I have to hit the Sunday Brunch!

Yelp
Friendly staff, nice rooms and really nice bathrooms. Relax in a large midnight bath. You're on vacation (probably). There is no complimentary breakfast. They do give you a $15 food voucher at check-in, but don't think that makes your breakfast free. It's high enough that you could get a nice breakfast somewhere else and pay the same as you would with the voucher at this hotel. That said, the custom made omelettes and crepes are quite good.

Yelp
This place is awesome. THE STAFF IS WONDERFUL !!!!!!!!!! Thank you so much . Clean, safe, quiet , fantastic beds and showers and spacious room and bathrooms. Stopped in here on the way south and decided to stay here for a few days on the way back. The restaurant serves delicious food from salad to soup to full dinners. Good beers on tap. The fried chicken is to FREAKING DIE FOR ! I can not think of one thing I don't like about this place. I look forward to staying here again.

Yelp
We loved our stay here at town and country inn. The room was nice however there were a few things that we didn't enjoy. The coffee machine in the room did not work, the pool was not cleaned well, the bathtub had a few pieces of hair and dirt and needed to be cleaned better for arriving guests to enjoy. The staff were very pleasant and the restaurant breakfast was great! We enjoyed their weekend buffet and their weekday breakfast menu. They provided a lot of essentials for the bathroom. Q tips, cotton balls, toothpaste, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion. Vending machines were down the hall and Ice machines as well. I would come back again, despite the small issues we found. Great parking and close to a variety of different areas we wanted to see during our stay!

Yelp
Where to stay in Charleston? Town & Country Inn. As if their restaurant which serves a full breakfast buffet, and dinner options isn't enough to lure you in upon arrival; their rooms is nothing less than true hospitality. I was provided a suite with a cozy bed, a family room/area, and a beautiful bathroom. The entire room felt like a home including the long behind hallway that led to the actual resting area. LOL! Included with my stay was a $15 breakfast or/and dinner voucher. With restaurant options nearby, I didn't need for much during this trip. But, I gained some quality sleep. One of the best parts of my stay was that the parking as super easy and conveniently in front of my suite. I highly recommend booking your next stay at Town & Country Inn, or just stop by for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Their restaurant is open to the public.

Val D.

Yelp
Jennifer -- the front desk manager and the breakfast buffet are excellent!! Took my mim for a quick weekend trip. We both enjoyed the delicious breakfast buffet; and you will get a $15 voucher when you make reservations directly with the hotel. The tv in our room was not operating properly and Jennifer fixed our tv at 9 pm that night--extremely pleasant and professional. The next morning she was working at the breakfast area at 9:30 am and asked if we had any more problems with the tv--just want to give a shout when exceptional service is shown!! I would highly recommend staying and will book again !

Yelp
What a find!! Not very often do we find value anymore but on a chance visit, i fell into a oasis. It's a lower price hotel product but for the rate and more it gets 5 stars. The rooms were recently refurbished. They were clean and so were the grounds and lobby, including the ornate landscaping in the front. The staff were so pleasant. It was apparent that they loved what they did and that everyone there was proud of their Inn. To add to it, they serve one of the best buffets on Saturdays and Sundays. Take my word on this or if you go, just ask one of the many locals who will be there just for the breakfast. Enjoy!!

Kathleen V.

Yelp
Hotel grounds and walkways are clean and maintained. Our single king room was very comfortable. We had a glitch with the safe not working and the fridge, but they got them fixed early the next morning. The only thing that lingered with me was the initial hold on my credit card. The counter person told us there would be a $50 hold for the first night and no more than $100 until our one weeks stay was over. It was $385 by the time we reached the room, and it was not explained or fixed. Sus if you ask me.

Yelp
It's not with one of the major chains, but we took a chance for a four night stay as the pictures were inviting. We were not disappointed! This locally owned property is very well maintained and has very pleasant staff. We would certainly stay there again!

Yelp
So angry, when I booked this hotel, they said they had completed upgrades. This room was not! The furniture was so rubbed away, definitely had seen better days, the room was awkward with a huge rectangular wall that existed from the bed to the bathroom, if I were traveling for business by myself...it would not matter, but calling it a king "suite"...it was not well appointed. For the money...I should have stayed at a boutique hotel or a BNB.

Yelp
Staying one night here for our two year anniversary and we are very pleased with our room and the friendliness of the staff! Very comfy king sized bed and a shower large enough for two (which is important to us!) Tonight we're going to swim in the pool before bed, and the pool looks lovely as well! Very glad chose this place for our one night away!

David S.

Yelp
First time staying here but it definitely will not be the last. Extremely clean, well-appointed rooms. Convenient to restaurants and points of interest. Vantrelle warmly welcomed us at the front desk and made sure we had everything needed for a pleasant stay. Reasonably priced.

Yelp
This hotel is definitely a hidden gem! I came upon it while doing some hotel research for my trip to Charleston. It is considered a 3-star on Expedia.com but can easily pass for a 3 1/2-4 stars. The hotel is located 12-15 minutes from downtown Charleston. It's a fantastic place to say if you're visiting the area for both a short or extended stay. The pictures online does not do any justice. I was quite surprised how majestic the hotel looked from the outside. The lobby was very clean and welcoming. Fantastic customer service with an easy check-in and check-out. I stayed on the 2nd floor. My king size bed room had high ceilings and looked like it was recently renovated. The hotel comes with a coffee maker, microwave and mini-fridge which was a super plus! The bathroom was huge and impressive. The bathroom features both a bathtub and spacious shower. The lighting is bright throughout the room! Notes: - There are plenty of parking - Surrounded by a lot of restaurants and a grocery store (Bi-lo) - Close to the highway - 15-20 minute drive to tourist attractions (Beach and Downtown Charleston)

Yelp
It's not the newest hotel on the block so maybe more of a 4.5 star for its class but it's clean and service is great. I don't think the cleaning ladies/gents get enough thanks sometimes. We have been here 2 days and they are so nice and thorough on the cleaning and organizing of stuff in the room. The have a restaurant and bar located in the front. I also had a migraine and wanted food, which they were already closed but the lady in the restaurant area insisted on getting me something to drink to help. That was really nice of her. Parking is pretty plentiful and several elevators to use. Pool area is nice and the gym actually has free weights. There is also big conference rooms. The room itself is spacious, love they have tub and separate shower. Mini fridge as well. Ac gets really cold which we love to sleep with it cold. Really the only thing needed is pillow upgrades, and eventually tv upgrades. Oh and they have washer and dryers on site. All around good hotel.

Brandie F.

Yelp
Just arrived!! Very disappointed in the cleanliness of this place. Black hair all over the place on floors. I clearly have blonde and just arrived so wasn't mine. Boyfriend is bald. Items under chairs so clearly no vacuum was in this room

Yelp
Great service! I had a few hiccups here but overall a clean and neat hotel. There were maybe about two issues that we had. The first was we got a suite with the jet tub that fits two or more basically, however the tub was a bit dingy. So we went downstairs and simply informed the hospitable front desk lady and she immediately had Someone come up and clean the tub again. Also I'm not sure if it's the hotel's fault but we decided to do room service, but of purse the stars never align. The woman that works at the restaurant down stairs informed me that the hotel is no longer doing room service due to low staff. Keep in mind we were there(me and my spouse) b/c our power went out during hurricane Dorian . So the woman informed me they were only doing the buffet from the restaurant called Trotters in the hotel. The dinner was fresh and delightful. I enjoyed our stay !

Steve G.

Yelp
Great place well maintained, clean and good value for the money. Very hospitable and great breakfast buffet available.

Yelp
Excellent service during the snow storm we were pleased with Heather, Kathy, and the rest of the staff. Even though we were basically trapped in the hotel, the location was a quick walk to everything we needed. We easily extended our stay in the hotel - and we received meal vouchers for the restaurant. T&C helped make a bad situation bearable. We'll come back - when it's warmer...

Yelp
Town & Country Inn and Suites on Savannah Highway in West Ashley is a great place to stay that is in the middle of everything in the Charleston area. It is conveniently located close to Highway 17 and Interstate 526 so it is easy to get to and from to just about anywhere in the Charleston area. This is a perfect place to stay for business as there is plenty of open space and meeting rooms here. I really like the restaurant in the hotel that makes it easy to get something to eat when you are there. The staff here is great and does their best to make sure that you have a comfortable and relaxing stay. This has been a consistent quality place to stay for a number of years and they always seem to do a good job.

Yelp
After reading all the positive reviews we decided to stay here during our visit this weekend and we were so glad we did. The drive into historic Charleston was quick and easy from here. There are several excellent restaurants, coffee shops and grocery stores nearby. (We did not eat in the restaurant on site so I can't speak to that.) The hotel was very clean and well maintained. The staff was friendly and efficient. Our room was so quiet and the bed and bath linens of a very nice quality. Nice thick soft towels and comfy bed pillows. There was ample parking right nearby our room and it felt very safe and secluded even though it is located on a busy road. We were very pleased overall and will stay here again.

Yelp
Hubby and I were vacaying with another couple. Each couple stayed in the best available/king room. The room was clean and spacious. The shower and bath room was spacious. Unfortunately the bottle of body wash, shampoo and conditioner is only small enough for one person (when 2 people were in the room) and there was no shaving kit or toothbrush/toothpaste kit. This room came with a microwave and mini-fridge. If you are bringing your iPhone, remember to bring the block and not just your USB charger cable. There's a pool, a place to eat and get drinks, Trotter's. Whether you stay or are passing by, stop in and have the Trotter's Punch and the Spinach & Artichoke Dip, sooo yummy!

Yelp
Found out at that last minute that we needed to be in Charleston a day earlier than planned and needed a hotel room at the last minute. So Expedia showed me a few choices, Yelp helped me narrow down the finalists to Town & Country. Easy to get to from I-526 and easy to into Charleston via Route 17/Savannah Highway and just as easy to get out to Kiawah the next day for the rest of our trip, the location was perfect for us. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The rooms had all the creature comforts one would want, including a Keurig coffee maker. There was also a nice pool in which to relax, which was very welcomed on a day of 95 degrees! The only downside is that you will need a car to get to dining and shopping. But after a day in the car, there was not going to be too much of that. So T&C was great for us.

Ashley N.

Yelp
Dirty dirty dirty. Hair in the shower. Toenails on the floor. Soap marks on the side of the bathtub. Dirty light switch. The tv keep cutting off. The decor is old and dated. The shower control is on the very back of the wall so I have to endure being sprayed by cold water while it heats up. The shower water comes out erratic and with poor stream. This is the ghetto. I do not recommend. Its a pandemic and they are not cleaning adequately. These high reviews must be bots or paid. I pray I don't get bed bugs. Go elsewhere!!!

Yelp
Gorgeous high end hotel with an extremely nice dining room and a phenomenal breakfast. The poached eggs were absolutely delicious. Much better than what you'd expect from a breakfast buffet!

Rver G.

Yelp
The hotel and room were clean and nice. However, we were surprised to learn that the room would not be cleaned or serviced at all for the 4 nights we were there for our anniversary. I called the hotel direct before booking and nothing was said about any reductions in service for our stay. We learned when we got to our room that it would not be cleaned and not supplied with fresh towels or coffee. and we had to call and go to the desk to pick everything we needed. Aside from not being told in advance, they could have easily set towels and coffee by the door each day so we didnt have to ask. Also we had to take our trash out each day or it would sit in the room or in the hall. This made for a very "do it your self" anniversary trip. With the reduced services , there was jo reduction in price. Prettydisappointing, and they could have easily made it a bit better by putting towels and coffee at the door each day.,

Yelp
Where is the hot tub honeymoon suite? I want that room back. Apparently T&C remodeled the hotel and I try searching for that kick a$$ room, nope BOOOOOOO T&C sorry y'all you took one of my top 3 favorite hotel rooms away so you are now an "average hotel in my eyes

Yelp
Awesome Hotel, very historic Charleston vibe. Oozes of southern charm on a grand scale and full of hospitality. Very Large Room with all of the amenities you could expect and if you need anything else, just ask. My family used to gather here in the 1960's for breakfast and memories have proved to be spot on. Grateful we chose to spend a few days with Town & County Inn and Suites.

Debra W.

Yelp
The hotel bed was comfortable and clean. Front desk people were friendly. However, the rooms, I had two, were musty smelling. The shower handle was wobbly, the shower faucet was wobbly, the shower cap, etc. caddy was a glass dish and the lid was broken and chipped in several places and the sink stopper was apart and did not work at all. The Trotters restaurant was not any better. The potato salad was mushy and the carrot cake was dry. Would not recommend hotel or restaurant. Our overall experience in Charleston was great. Would visit area again and stay at a different hotel.

Karen H.

Yelp
I was pleasantly surprised by this property. Good location, clean, friendly staff, quiet. The room was a good size and the bed was comfortable. Large bathroom with both tub and walk-in shower. The Keurig and ample coffee pods was a plus. Very pleasant. I would stay here again.

Yelp
I had reservations here to stay for a Bachelorette weekend, and the hotel was very cute and a little fancy, but what you would also see typically in a hotel. The associates we very generous and greeted us very nicely. The front of the hotel looks very small, yet it expands to the back a bit farther than you would think, so it's very spacious. Shared a room that holds 2 queen beds and a bathroom with a tub and Walk in shower. The hotel has entrance and exit access from the sides of the hotel for convenience. They also have a in-ground pool which is centered in the middle of the hotel, but located outside like a courtyard. They have a restaurant inside the hotel caked Trotters, they have a All-you-can-eat breakfast for $12.99. Had a great experience here, just wished I could of stayed in Charleston, South Carolina a bit longer, the weekend went by too fast. Until next time!!!

Yelp
Great place! Super happy with everything - clean, quiet, comfortable, just nice! Kathy, the front desk lady is so friendly, enthusiastic, funny, and helpful! Thank you for making our first visit to Charleston a sweet memory!

Yelp
Stayed at Town & Country Inn in West Ashley, SC and was very disappointed. The location looked good on the map but getting out of the parking lot was a traffic nightmare. Had a terrible time sleeping because the room temp would automatically crank up to 75 degrees in the middle of the night, waking us up! Mornings were rough as they don't offer complementary breakfast or even a cup of coffee in the mornings. They advertised a $15 voucher for the restaurant instead, but failed to honor it once we got here for our multi-day stay. They must not value the family clientele as it was not family friendly. My breakfast consisted of a $9 bowl of cornflakes while the neighboring tables held a full volume conference presentation in the restaurant as I tried to wake up from my terrible night sleep. If you aren't part of their conference crowd and not on business expenses, not a place to stay! Will take a while to recover from our visit!

Brian D.

Yelp
Jennifer at the front desk was so courteous and went above and beyond to help us. We're definitely planning to visit again!
google avatar

Nicole D.

Yelp
We had an excellent weekend stay here! The staff is very friendly and helpful! The hotel is welcoming and nicely done. The rooms are clean and very homey! We had a junior king suite with an air bath tub. It was so relaxing! We did enjoy breakfast at the restaurant in the hotel but if you enjoy room service they provide that option and the prices are very resonable! I am so glad we chose this as our place to stay!
google avatar

Yelp
Heather at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. Will return next time we stay

Yelp
This place is very nice. Looks to be totally remodeled, rooms are spacious, beds are comfortable and the staff is very friendly. There is ample parking, spaces are very wide and the grounds are neat and clean. I would definitely stay here again, it's a great bargain.

Yelp
Favorite place to stay. I had a very romantic evening. The service and breakfast east good too.

Yelp
This gem of a motel is easy to find conveniently located a block from the interstate. It's d shirt 5 minute drive to the shave market and he best restaurants in the city. It is superbly furnished with attractive decor and comfortable bedding. It's also the best rate fir a good nights sleep in town. It's quiet, well appointed, private with nearby parking. Trotters restaurant is just off the lobby and has the best motel breakfast buffet I've ever had to the pleasure to share with my family. Folks at the front desk fairly well gush with gracious hospitality. We face stayed here 4 times and it just keeps getting better each visit. Before warned that the pool is not heated. I had to find out the hard way. Banquet rooms are available for meetings or events. It's a pleasure to stay in such a clean place with such responsible hosts.

Beautiful classy CLEAN and modern establishment..We loved the helpful staff! 2 employees I remember were Kathy and Alden.. Outstanding restuant on premises with delicious buffets !

Yelp
Just stayed here for the first time and had a great experience. The room was clean and spacious. Bathroom was a cut above, with large separate walk in shower and granite countertops. Toiletries were good quality, with natural ingredients. There was a small recycling bin in the room, which was nice to see. Beds were comfortable, pool area nice, friendly staff. There is a Guy Fieri recommended place right down the street and you are minutes from the historic district. I will be back and recommend to friends in Greenville.

Andrew M.

Yelp
BEWARE!!! Infested with bed bugs! I thought this would be a nice hotel considering the previous reviews but I woke up to bits all over my body. The staff provided me with no compensation and only offered to dry clean my clothes. Room 103 is where I stayed. I'd avoid this place like the plague!

Yelp
This was our first time staying in Charleston and this hotel is absolutely amazing! Beautiful, lush rooms, a larger than average fantastic bathroom with glass shower and everything was beautifully furnished. Clean, password free wifi, cable, flat screens, a mini fridge and a coffee center. Also loved that each room has a safe. My husband and I are so beyond pleased with our stay here and will absolutely stay here again. Everything was beautiful and comfortable. Love it! Highly recommend.

Yelp
PITIFUL! Terrible food and HIGH price. The chicken was fried in OLD oil and tasted TERRIBLE. Wife and I had been wanting to go here for many years and regret we ever tried it once. The fish soup was enough to make me gag. EVERYTHING tasted BAD. Even the potato salad was NASTY. Save your money and for almost 1/2 the price treat yourself to the Golden Corral not far from here. This was REALLY a TERRIBLE experience for both of us. NEVER AGAIN! STAY CLEAR. Don't let the outside fool you. In fact one patron while eating suddenly developed stomach problems and EMS was called and took him away on a stretcher. This is an actual FACT! I completely understand why! RUN if you have to but get as far away as possible. YUCK!!!!!!

Yelp
Excellent service from Candice...she was very helpful and super friendly. All staff we came in contact with were very personable and extremely helpful. Rooms were super clean. All other amenities were above all our expectations. Will be making this our Charleston hotel stop from now on. Great job Town & Country Inn and Suites in Charleston SC you guys know how to do it right!!

Russell C.

Yelp
Clean, great food, and friendly staff. Town & Country has become my go-to hotel in Charleston, as I travel to the area quite frequently. Bruce at reception has become a mainstay when checking in and is very hospitable as well as the rest of the staff. The rooms are always clean, quiet, and comfortable. And you can't leave without having a meal at Trotters.
google avatar

Vanessa O.

Yelp
Great suites, clean sheets and amazing bathrooms! The front desk was very helpful and accommodating! I love this hotel and will be coming back every time we head back to Charleston!

Yelp
We've stayed here for 3 nights to check out Charleston and could not be more pleased. This is the cleanest hotel I've been to in years, and I typically choose 4 stars. It was also the most soundproof (either that or older crowd, IDK). The staff was friendly, fast, and exceeded expectations. The workout room was good, the pool area was pleasant, and the restaurant was delicious. My husband is ready for another ribeye. Please note vending machines are cash only.

Yelp
The service at this hotel was excellent. We stayed in the Waboo suite it was the deluxe suite very spacious the bathroom was as spacious as some hotel rooms I've stayed in it had a two person Jacuzzi with a separate waterfall shower with dual vanities. The room was larger than our first apartment and the bed was very comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to anybody.
