This hotel is very old and not fancy, but it is unique and has a lot of character. The room was clean, the bed was good, the breakfast was sufficient, and the front desk was extremely courteous and helpful. Located in the heart of downtown Nassau, it was the perfect location for what I needed. They could consider adding a few more items to the breakfast selection.

For 2 stars hotel it deserves 2 stars only. Everything is very old. Initially the room was clean but during the day the floor and the bed were covered with termites and other bugs - like worms or like centipede. The restaurant is good with variety of choices to eat and drink. The best of the hotel is its location. It's in the city centre/downtown and it is close to the cruise terminal. Walking distance to bars and restaurants.

Great location, close to the port, and shopping. A bit of Old World charm without the hustle and bustle of the tourist area. Located directly behind the Pirate Museum of Nassau, close enough to walk to shopping. Great interior garden seating with pool, complete with a talking parrot. Staff was accommodating and friendly!

The room is dirty, the manager is rude, but the worst part is that they have a live parrot inside that doesn’t move for days. They just abuse an animal until he can’t stand no more. It’s so cruel I will fight for the bird to be removed from this hell.shame on owners

The rooms are clean, and the Chef's curry lamb was tender and delious. It's location is great with a short walk to all the down town shopping. I stayed here before my dive trip and can't wait to come back and explore Nassau properly with the rest of the family.

I had to stay here for 4 days out of necessity, whether it was day or night you will find cockroaches all over the room, the second day when I was about to walk to my room (the last one in the hallway) there were 3 rats right outside my room. I went to the front desk and he mockingly asked him, "Are you afraid of rats?" Yes, they were the size of a rabbit, I answered. That's not the point. These types of animals transmit serious diseases to humans. I don't think anyone deserves to sleep in a room like that, much less if you pay $130 a day. Not to mention the breakfast they give you: 12 overcooked eggs, black coffee, a few slices of cheddar cheese, and 5 slices of bread for the entire hotel. This is disrespectful. This hotel should close now.

Towne Hotel is a charming, budget-friendly option located in the heart of downtown Nassau, offering visitors a chance to experience authentic Bahamian hospitality. While it may not offer the luxury of high-end resorts, it makes up for it with its character, location, and personable service. The hotel's central location is one of its standout features. It is within walking distance of key attractions like the Straw Market, Junkanoo Beach, and the historic Queen’s Staircase. Guests can also find plenty of restaurants, shops, and local landmarks nearby, making it a convenient choice for exploring the city. The rooms are basic but clean and functional, equipped with the essentials for a comfortable stay. While some may find the décor dated, it fits the overall rustic and laid-back vibe of the property. Air conditioning is available, which is essential in the Bahamian heat. However, noise from the busy streets may occasionally disturb light sleepers. Towne Hotel has a small but inviting rooftop pool, perfect for cooling off after a day of exploring. The on-site restaurant and bar serve up delightful local dishes and drinks, offering a taste of Bahamian cuisine without leaving the premises. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available but can be spotty at times. The staff at Towne Hotel are consistently praised for their friendliness and attentiveness. They go out of their way to make guests feel at home, providing personalized recommendations for tours, dining, and local experiences. For travelers seeking an affordable option in Nassau, Towne Hotel provides good value for money. While it may lack the polished amenities of larger resorts, it delivers a more intimate and authentic experience at a fraction of the cost. Towne Hotel is an excellent choice for budget-conscious travelers who prioritize location and cultural immersion over luxury. Its welcoming atmosphere, central position, and warm service make it a great base for exploring Nassau and the vibrant Bahamian culture.

Great downtown location. Walking distance to most things to see and do. Easy check in. We knew there was no elevator but the desk person insisted on taking our luggage to the second floor. We had two double beds, small table with a chair, good size closet and dresser so there was good room for clothes. Room on the small size, clean, functional bathroom. There are not many outlets but we made it work. Two chairs and a table outside the room. Daily housekeeping. Breakfast was included but not much beyond toast, juice, hard boiled eggs, coffee and tea. There was also a list to order cooked food at reasonable prices. The outdoor area was comfortable but the pool was not inviting. We never saw anyone in the pool. WIFI was down one day, so no tv either. Helpful staff. Ordered taxis for us when needed.
