Toyama Excel Hotel Tokyu

Really nice fully renovated hotel , feels like 5 star service the moment u walk in to the lobby. We were greeted by kind concierge staff and they also help us with our luggage and sent them to our rooms .The staff were all very helpful and kind. The lobby was nice , beautifully decorated with nice smell of fragrance. Location is strategic just across the toyama station , surrounding have malls and many restaurants. The room size is huge for japan , well equipted, twin bed provided was big size of 110x200each so was very convenient for family stay. We will definetly be back

The location is excellent—right across from Toyama Station. There’s a Lawson and plenty of restaurants nearby. The entrance is on the side, and basic amenities are available to pick up on the first floor. The room isn’t brand new but still in good condition. The air conditioning is a central system: cooling in summer and heating in winter, and the windows can’t be opened. If you can’t sleep with the heater on, set the temperature lower and use the humidifier—it’ll be quite comfortable. The lighting in the room is bright..that's good, and there’s also a vender machine and ice vender on some floors.

Centrally located hotel close to many shops and restaurant. Parking is available at adjacent shopping centre for ¥1200/night. Hotel staff friendly and helpful. Room was small though and doesn’t come with bottled water or container for filling up drinking water. Lift at first floor wasn’t aligned with the ground so created difficulties for pushing our luggage in. Drip coffee provided was delicious.

Amazing Location and amazing breakfast as well.. Room is spacious enough for 3 persons however it is not a modern room. Overall still happy with it

Classic hotel. Room is outdated but very clean and comfortable.|It is right in front of Toyama station. Breakfast was expensive but good. If you prefer more western food, you may want to skip. (there were western food options too)|Since there are not many tourists especially from overseas like Kanazawa, it was very quiet and peaceful.

The hotel is relatively new, with on site parking. It is located at the top few floors of a business building. There no hotel reception on the ground floor only a phone and the entrance is hard to find if you are driving and it’s at the back of the building. The window shows you the major railway system of Nagoya as JR Nagoya station is just next stop and visible from the window. So a must for train lovers. The staff at the hotel is helpful but their English is minimal but for sure they are polite and cordial. There’s always staff cleaning in the other room when I go in and out of the hotel, but they somehow managed to not bother me and find the right time to clean my room. There is no other facility such as swimming pool, onsen or washing machines in the hotel. There’s a large family mart on ground floor and a few restaurants in the complex but we are always out during the day and didn’t have a choice to enjoy them. The hotel breakfast is delicious and the choices are ample. It also has the skyline view of Nagoya. Overall I would recommend this hotel if you want a little piece and quiet when you travel. And you might need to walk extra or take 1 more stop in the Metro to go back to hotel. It’s an excellent hotel but I think more suitable for adults.

Memorable Stay, super convenientLoved my stay here! Clean, modern, and just a short walk from Toyama Station and near toyama castle. Comfy bed, nice bathroom, and helpful staff. Perfect for hub stays or if you’re doing the Alpine Route. Would definitely come back!

The hotel is in an excellent location, it is just across the road from Toyama station & close to all the tram lines, shops & restaurants. The room is spacious, clean & the bed is very comfortable. We highly recommend the hotel breakfast, there is a choice of a traditional Japanese or a buffet breakfast. We tried both & they were excellent.|Breakfast is the highlight of our stay at this hotel. We would like to pay a special mention to Mitsuru Matsui San (Rico Monte restaurant manager) for his hospitality, friendliness, attentiveness & great service for the three days, it was a very memorable experience. |Arigatou gozaimasta Mitsuru Matsui San.
