Food was subpar. My blt was $12. It was over toasted, had 1 thin slice of wilty lettuce, 2 slices of tomato, and 4- 1/2 slices of under cooked fatty bacon. We had the wonton app, which was over fried. The mushrooms were great, though. Food was a bit over priced for what you get. The server was fantastic but slow, rightfully so. The place was full, and she was the only server for the tables and bad area, but she kept up. Not kid friendly- no kid menus.

Second time trying this place. Food was all too salty. Burger was smashed. I did not order a smash burger. It should be posted on the menu if it is a smash burger. 20 bucks for a burger and fries. Won’t try again. :(

A chilly restaurant with good service but the food was only okay. We loved the fries. Prices on high side.

We had so much fun here! Amazing atmosphere! The staff really makes this place magic. Tourists and locals are treated alike. I’ve never felt so welcomed at a small town bar! The cook (Sancho, Juan, whatever your name is 😂) remembered us from last weekend and came to greet us at the bar rail. That was awesome. He took great care of us, continually going above and beyond. He truly aims to please. Some fries and tenders may or may not have been snuck out to us after the kitchen closed 😁 John the mystery Irishman/comedian was hilarious and so fun to chat with. What a great accent! I still think he’s the owner, even though he denies it 🧐 Dana is an excellent server, total sweetheart. We are so sad that we missed you on our return trip! Better be there next time! It was so cool chatting with people we had seen during our excursions in the area, as they filtered through the bar. We can’t wait to come back!

Okay, this place has one of the best burgers I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing. My beautiful girlfriend and I took a trip to the north shore to see the fall colors, and we decided to stop here for lunch. We got a "Tracks Burger" and some poutine to share, and holy moly, what a burger!! The poutine was excellent as well, but guys, let me tell you, this burger was insane. It has an egg and garlic aioli, and it is to die for. The next day, after a long and tiring hike, we decided to stop here again. I was curious to see if it was just a fluke -- maybe that one burger was just made particularly well. Nope. The ones we got the second time here were even better! You can bet that we each got our own burger this time. There's no way in heck I was gonna share even one morsel of this delicacy. Cannot recommend this place enough!!

Great lil cozy place to either stop for a drink or grab a delicious bite to eat. If you want simple but delicious give them a visit. Staff are great and friendly and make you feel family even if you are just passing through or a regular. Their outdoorsman is not only flavorful but filling highly recommend.

Hands down the best Biscuits & Gravy I have ever had. Light, fluffy, and flavorbursting Biscuits with the perfect ratio of gravy to sausage. The coffee not so good but can't fault them for that. Would be 8 stars if I could for the food. The service was Excellent as well.

LOVE this place, their French fries are awesome, they are thin sliced and just really good. The atmosphere is just really relaxed and fun. We stopped here twice on our trip this time, and will plan to come back on future trips. Servers and bartenders are so happy and friendly, made the experience very enjoyable. Would recommend stopping here for a quick bite or drink.

They are closed for the winter season and rumor is they are closing. Sounds like a good idea because they keep changing ownership.

This was an unexpected solid experience. Frist, the place is exactly what you expect a place named Tracks N Racks to be. Close your eyes, and picture it. Close to Wisconsin, deer hunting theme...yep. Key factors are that it is very clean and the staff were friendly and welcoming to us city-folk. We were a group of 9 arriving right at lunch and easily got a table for all of us - which happened to be right night to a TV playing a Arsenal F.C. game - a dream come true for my 14 year old Arsenal fan. To be clear, the food was NOT fancy, but my club sandwich was just like what I would make at home, and the fries were OFF THE CHARTS DELICIOUS. Service was friendly and attentive. I would recommend!

Food was excellent (whatever the BBQ burger w/ onion rings is called). And, absolutely get the fries. See that, I got to try both the onion rings and fries with my selection. Had a couple beers as well. Food was quick, hot and delicious. Arrived about 7:10 and it closes at 8, so there was no wait. Just the right amount of interaction and people. The bartender was great and provided exactly what I asked for - nothing more and nothing less. I'm a city girl and a foodie, if that helps in your assessment. Maybe I should also mention I was quite hungry after 8 miles mostly on the SHT with my two doggos. Great visit!

I never post reviews and am NOT a fussy eater but was so disappointed with the quality of the Caesars salad and the lack of effort to try and fix it that I felt I needed to say something. I understand prices are a bit high for this area, but for a salad with NO chicken, along with a bowl of wet, limp soggy lettuce, I feel $15.99 was overpriced. I had to ask for the missing croutons that were supposed to come with it. It seemed like a half a bottle of dressing was put on the salad to try and disguise inedible lettuce. Lettuce was NOT Crisp and was very soupy. When asked if all was ok, I shared with the waitress that I was not happy with the salad, that it was horrible, and I was unable to eat it. She apologized that she was not able to give a discount, so we paid full price and left the salad behind. We will NOT be going back.

Great little place. Modestly decorated and casual with a very friendly staff. Comfy bar just when you walk in. The beer was cold and the wine was fine. Food arrived super fast My burger was deliciously greasy and came smashed with crispy edges and not over cooked. It was served between two slices of hearty bread. That was a real nice change. I liked it. My wife received her walleye sandwich served on a hamburger bun. Love this place. The sandwich was ok Cheese curds a ok. House salad was very good But now onto the fries that came with the burger. Something new? Fries cut into rectangular pieces and they were perfectly deep fried. The server told us that the fries are patented for a specific area!! I will return just for the fries. Everything was really fine here. A little more than we wanted to pay but like I said I would be back. Check it out.

If you are headed to the Northshore, bring your own food. Gave this place a shot and it is much the same as every other restaurant up north.... Overpriced, really bad bar food.

Interpret this review in the context of where we are -- up on the North Shore with pretty limited options. In that context -- this place rocks. First, it is the only place within a 20+ min drive that has ACTUAL FOOD THAT YOU COOK. Yes, it's mainly burgers, but it has an actual kitchen, not just a deep fryer and pizza oven. And their fries are legitimately great (sigh, stupid $3.50 upcharge to get them). They have a solid draft selection that includes Minnesota craft beers, though you do have to be cool with IPAs (mmm, hops). They are fully family friendly, my 7yo sat at the bar and was treated with kindness and welcome. If we're in this area again, this is 100% the place we're coming back to. I did also love the Green Door right next door, but the greater variety here was the clear winnerl

Wow! 1st off we are locals. How ever, tonight was a trip.....I mean the bartender/waitress seemed high as a kite! She was hollering at a group of 14 four wheelers who were just trying to order food. Then she came to us, who ordered a beer and coke, which they didn't have. She was bouncing off the wall, while her kid (approx. 6) was wondering around behind the bar with a 100.00 bill. there was a couple and a guy at the bar, she called her son over to show the people how to play pull tabs! All in all , this was a lot worse than I want to waste my time with, However if there is any kind of management , I certainly would have reported it. The cook and this unstable person were the only people there. we left before we finished because she was so off the wall, and it was only 7:00 . It's a nice place, BUT the service that night sucked ,it'll be along time before we will be back, if ever, I had to talk my spouse into going to Tracks in the 1st place..................not a good look ! tourists beware.

Great walleye wrap, excellent onion rings, unique plank fries were yummy; great mushroom burger and chicken sandwhich. A great option for a meal up here.

Got the Tracks burger. It was delicious! Onion rings and fries were outstanding! Was there for lunch so isn't wasn't crowded, Service was great at that time.

Good quick stop for a cold beer. Fun and friendly workers. Food and appetizers were awesome

Listen. Coming up from the cities during the off season to Grand Marais has had some hiccups to say the least! Reservation debacles and closed establishments left and right. We were just completely fried heading back to the cities. Essentially all of the possible dining spots from Grand Marais to Beaver Bay were closed so we took our chances here. Let me tell you, if you love colorful vibrant personalities coupled with GREAT food and reasonable pricing stop by and see John. I wish I had taken a before pic but we were famished to say the least. Anyhow I got the chicken fettuccine Alfredo it smashed my expectations and apparently the Bucks Burger was delicious as well. So..... if you don't know where to stop, you can trust me....neither did we but sure glad we did! John til next time!!!!

Well, the service was good. Friendly and prompt. Atmosphere about average for a bar/food type place. Nothing noteworthy. Prices average. The food however was very mediocre. The fried chicken sandwich was very clearly from a bulk frozen box and tasted like it. The walleye strips were tolerable but not great. The onion rings were OK. The fried pickles were sub-par. They don't have iced tea. But they do have a good selection of dipping sauces. The people were very nice, I wish the food was slightly better.

Could the owner's responses to bad reviews possibly be more passive aggressive? Wow! When a customer complains, the restaurant's response should typically be to apologize and MAKE it RIGHT! Food, cocktails, poor atmosphere, and service are about what you would expect from a place with this name. Always chasing tail? How juvenile and unprofessional. You're on 61. You're gonna have to cater to a more suburban clientele if you want to be open a year from now.

Stopped here after driving by many times without noticing. Got cheese curds which were yummy as well as 2 burgers with fries. Both were delicious and some tasty fries I know I'll be craving for a while. Definitely recommend stopping. Staff was nice and food came pretty fast despite being busy!

Women working was not friendly at all. Told us kitchen closed and didn't even ask for our drink order. So needless to say we left pronto.

Recommended! We had an Outdoorsman Burger, Fry Basket, and Reuben appetizer, it was super DELICIOUS! But don't forget the chipotle ranch, this restaurants sauce list was impressive! Will be back to try more.

Great food, amazing service, super clean!! Had nachos and the outdoorsman burger, and a few castle danger cream ales. Everything was delicious and prices were on point! Only complaint is we lost on pull tabs... !
