I’ve loved Tracksmith as a brand for years and have several of their hit items, but the in-store experience on Newbury Street is consistently disappointing. Like many other reviewers, I’ve noticed staff who seem distracted, disinterested, or outright rude, more engaged with their phones or their own conversations than with customers.
In a recent review here one even describes being ignored because English wasn’t perfect. Then another describes staff sitting around, not helping, and creating an unwelcoming environment. Same with my own visits: staff unwilling to engage, leaving me to fend for myself in what should be a flagship store.
What makes this worse is that multiple reviews have flagged these same issues for over a year, with no sign of change. That’s not just a “bad day”…… that’s a culture problem.
Tracksmith positions itself as inclusive and welcoming to all runners. But if the in-store behavior doesn’t reflect those values, it undermines the brand. I sincerely hope management addresses this, because it’s frustrating to see a brand I admire tarnished by such poor service
