The King Crab at this restaurant was simply excellent, delivering a flavor and freshness that is hard to rival. Each bite was succulent and rich, showcasing the natural sweetness of the crab meat, perfectly cooked and expertly seasoned. It was clear that the restaurant takes pride in sourcing high-quality seafood, making this dish a true highlight of the menu. The service was equally commendable, with a team of attentive staff who ensured that every aspect of the dining experience was enjoyable. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and quick to assist with any questions or requests, creating a welcoming atmosphere that made the meal even more enjoyable. Although there was a long line, it moved surprisingly fast, which is a testament to the restaurant's efficiency. The anticipation only added to the excitement of what was to come, and it was well worth the wait. This experience should definitely be a part of your Juneau itinerary. If you're looking for a memorable meal, this is the place to be. I wholeheartedly recommend that anyone visiting the area make it a point to eat here; the combination of outstanding King Crab and excellent service makes it a must-try destination!

I loved everything about this place. It’s small, so we were able to get in and out quickly. Yes, it’s pricey at $85 per pound (for two legs) of the red Alaskan king crab, but it’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The crab was cooked to perfection—sweet, firm, and flavorful. The heated clear tent where you dine adds to the charm. This is a special, iconic spot that’s a must-visit when you’re in the Juneau area. My husband does not eat seafood, so he got the pulled pork sliders. That, fries and coleslaw are the only non seafood options.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Must-Visit for King Crab Lovers! We had an amazing experience at Tracy’s Crab Shack 2! We ordered the 3lb King Crab Bucket, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The crab legs were perfectly cooked—sweet, tender, and juicy—and the butter sauce was the perfect companion, enhancing every bite. The new location is about a 15-minute walk from the original shack, but we had a rental car, so getting there was a breeze. The expanded seating is a big plus, and the scenic views are spectacular. While enjoying our meal, we spotted several bald eagles, including one swooping down to catch a fish—truly a National Geographic moment! The staff was fantastic, friendly, and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable. If you're craving top-quality King Crab Legs in Juneau, this is the place to be. Worth every penny and every bite!

We LOVED eating dinner at Tracy's Crab Shack. We went to their second location, which was recommended by our guide. We found that the price per pound was a bit lower here than their main location right by the boat port. There was also no line here compared to the other location! There was plenty of seating with great views. The staff were all so great. and of course, the crab was 10/10 along with the bisque, rolls and drinks!

Absolutely amazing!!! Our friends who had been to Juneau suggested we bypass the extremely busy Tracy’s on the wharf as it gets packed when cruise ships come into town, and they were so right. #2 is the best! A 10 minute walk through town to find this amazing setting where the locals also visit for the most amazing fresh crab and great beer. We ordered too much for 2 of us but still ate it:) Suggest the following local caught crab Snow crab - more mild Golden crab - saltier and much more flavor Red crab - most balanced and maybe our favorite Chowder - just so amazing, a must Crab cakes - really fresh and tasty Also the crab cracking tool is the best and easiest we’ve ever used so we had to buy some as well as some great merch. People were very friendly, and service prompt. It is very fresh crab so expect to pay for it, but just awesome!!

Google
Crab was amazing, of course it was. We went to Tracy’s 2. A 15 minute walk from the dock. The walk was nice after feasting on king crab legs. The bisque was perfection. It was a bit chilly in the breezy spot under the tent. The heaters helped.

Google
Might be the best crab you'll ever have. So fresh. And cooked to perfection. I knew when we booked a trip to Alaska that we needed to have some good crab. This is the place you want to go. Not cheap, but you didn't want cheap. You want awesome. And Tracys is awesome.

Google
Well worth a visit! This location is bigger than the original and has lovely views on the water. There was a long line but it moved pretty quickly. Service was friendly and excellent, and it was easily the best crab I’ve ever had. Prices are high but worth it!

Yelp
Tracy's King Crab Shack 2 is such a gem! It's a little bit away from where all the cruise ships dock, which means way shorter lines but the exact same amazing food and experience. The crab was absolutely delicious--fresh, flavorful, and worth every bite. So glad the staff pointed us to this location, because the main shack had a 2+ hour wait. If you want Tracy's famous crab without the crowd, this spot is perfect! Worth every $$ spent!!

Yelp
If you're questioning paying $85/lb for Alaskan King crab.... just DO IT! It's so worth it... I still dream about this crab. That first bite was so gooooood I wish I could eat it again.. and again and again. The best and the largest king crab I've ever had. We ordered the snow crab and Dungeness crab as well to try it and they were both good! (obviously much cheaper) and you definitely compare it to the king crab but I would recommend skipping the snow crab and trying the dungeness crab more. The crab comes with these delicious butter breads and their other appetizers were yummy as well. We walked away from the main port area to go see the whale statue and on the way back we stopped by here and so glad we did instead of going to their original location where the lines were soooo long and it would have been a very long wait. This location I feel like is just as good with more space and less or no wait. I also enjoyed the vibe of this spot more cus it's outdoors with covered and heated tents. It just felt very outdoorsy & the view was great! The staff was so friendly and helpful as well!! Such kind souls! Highly recommend!! It is a MUST EAT while you're in Juneau. Please don't miss it!!!!

Yelp
Lots of fun eating at this place that we ended up going there for all 3 dinners while in Juneau. Tracy 2 feels nicer and less crowded, we walked there one night and drove there the second time. Tip: they start out giving you just 2 garlic roll, but you can tell the "runners" to give you more. You can also request for 4 at time of order and they'll start you off with that.

Yelp
Tracy's King Crab Shack #2 is everything I ever imagined about eating king crab in Alaska. It was sooo good with no lines and the best staff. When I found out I was taking a cruise to Alaska, I looked up all the best places to eat and Tracy's was at the top of the list. I knew my time would be short in Juneau, and luckily shack #2 (10 minute walk from original Tracy's) just opened for the summer. This location has outside eating with tent covering looking out to the ocean. Tammy the manager was so nice in helping us. We ordered the 3 lb Red King Crab bucket with Cole slaw and buns, mini crab cakes, crab bisque, and Alaskan Amber. Everything was so fresh, so tasty, and I have to say the Red King crab was the sweetest juiciest crab I think I've ever had! I didn't even need the hot butter that came with it. I'm back in Los Angeles, but I'm dreaming of Tracy's Red King Crab. Make this your first stop when visiting Juneau, I promise you work regret it.

Yelp
We went to the "alternate" location, MORE than a 7 minute walk. It does have the same menu, has a very "clambake" vibe with big tents and picnic tables. Crabs were a bit pricey but because it's so rich, the 3 crab legs, battered shrimp, rolls, crab cakes and soup was enough to share with the kids and the wife. We also got some French fries on the side. Very friendly staff. I'd recommend this place for individuals who just want a consistent, good quality meal.

Yelp
Some of the best king crab I have eaten. You order your food then sit down and it is brought to your table. A little advice, get some paper towels to hold the King crab. It will help keep your hands from getting cut. You eat at tables in a tent. They have a spot for large groups that can be reserved. The sampler with crab cakes, rolls, chowder, and crab legs was enough for two of us.

Yelp
They call your name and where you are from when the food is ready--fun way to get people's attention. Fast service, casual and lively vibes. Lots of benches and a beautiful view by the water. As for food--Best king crab ever!! Very meaty, juicy, and flavorful. The bisque and crab bites weren't anything to write home about--I'd skip those next time.

Yelp
King crab is .... a little overcooked I think. The bisque was very good. That would be my recs to get here.

Yelp
We went to the original location which is about a 10-15 minute walk from the main cruise ship pier. I recommend this location for the true feel of Tracy's King Crab Shack. You will wait in line to order and then have a seat where they will bring the food to you. They will walk and call your name as well as where you are from. You still order from the original "Order Shack" which is a small 8x10 building. They still ring the bell to drop more baskets when a long crab bucket is ordered. We had beautiful weather during our visit so we sat outside. I had the crab cake roll and fries. The crab was delicious but the mini crab cakes on the roll were amazing! Everyone took care of us and the walk was well worth our lunch. I recommend going to Tracy's when in port.

Yelp
First time in Juneau and like so many visitors, we came off the cruise ships looking for that very special meal that makes our visit to Alaska worth it. Just a stroll from the main cruise ship dock running along Whittier Road, and past the Coast Guard Building, is Tracy's King Crab - Shack 2. The dirt parking lot and rustic crab shacks gives this location an off the beaten path feel. Like the shrimp trunks in the North Shore of Oahu, this location is grounded in the food and supported by a beautiful backdrop. Ours surroundings are the towering mountains of Juneau touching the edge of the sea. Tracy's lets you know you have found the right place to be. Our large family got caught up in a very powerful gusty rainstorm. Soaked, wet and hungry, our family of picky eaters were ready to be nourished with an Alaskan King Crab experience. We all ordered the #1 Crab shop combo which not only included 1 pound of crab but a nice hot bowl of crab bisque and mini crab cakes. The big question, which crab to choose, "Red or Golden?" "Red's better", said the friendly woman who took our order. Come to find out, most restaurants have Golden which is the smaller species, so we went all in on the Red Alaskan. She asked us our names and where we lived to help identify our individual orders. When our orders were up, you could hear our names being called and all the cities from which we came- Hilo, Denver, Los Angeles. One thing's for sure, we were all in one place, Tracy's Shack 2 ready to taste some freshly steamed Red King Crab in Juneau. Our 1 pound of Red King Crab was delivered to us in a roll of butcher paper. I unwrapped it like it was Christmas time, and there in front of me were the largest crab legs I have ever seen. The merus section, made up of the meaty top portion of the legs and shoulders, just slipped out of the shell upon lightly cracking it with the provided crab saw tool. Piping hot and steaming, the meat screamed of natural flavor. I just savored each moist bite, no sauce or butter needed. Our family commented that we are so used to digging around with a fork to get the crab meat still stuck to the shell. Not Tracy's, the whole piece of meat slipped out of the shell, it was a revelation. Many restaurants serve crab overly salted but not at Tracy's, as Chef Nate pointed out, "I cook it as God intended. I don't mess with the recipe." I did try a portion of my last leg with the butter sauce, and it was even more rich and sweet, but truthfully, for my taste, the inherent flavor was all that was needed. I'm with Chef Nate on that one. I was in King Crab heaven. On the menu at Tracy's were also outstanding items. One of our family favorites was the King Crab Bisque over rice. For folks who love their white rice, who could have imagined this cream-based bisque perfectly highlighting the main star, Alaskan King Crab. It had depth of flavor and was ever so good. That was Juneau comfort food, warming us up from our recent Alaskan flash storm like a nurturing blanket. And for those who love an excellent Crab Cake Roll sandwich, Tracy's is quite unique with mini crab cakes at the bottom of the roll, topped with fresh crab meat and a light coleslaw that can be enhanced with their spicy red sauce. This crab cake roll tops any crab sandwich I have ever had in the lower 48. At the end of our meal, I said, "Are you the manager here?" He looked at me bracing to hear a harsh complaint about my meal, but I extended out my hand to shake his and said, "Eating your King Crab today was a life changing experience!" Manager Jeremy thanked us for coming and walked me over to meet Chef Nate and the guys steaming the crabs. When you have a hungry family and all you hear is the cracking of crab shells and enthusiastic nods and one word reactions like, "wow," over and over, then you know this meal is one for the books. Eating Red King Crabs are an absolutely, life changing experience. And I would not leave Juneau without making a stop at Tracy's King Crab - Shack 2. They know how to do it right! And their Shack 2 location's crew under the leadership of Chef Nate and Manager Jeremy, satisfied all our Hawaii cousins who really know their fresh seafood. Our meal at Tracy's Shack 2 was our best of our Alaska trip and we'll be talking story about Tracy's until we all return for another crab eating life changing experience.

Yelp
We came here ten years ago, and today's experience was just as good. This location is further from the ship so there's less people and its open seating inside a covered structure. It's about a 15-20 minute walk from the cruise terminal. There's little food trucks where you order your drinks, food, and pick up your meal. It helps divert the lines and also gives it kind of a trailer park / food truck park feel. We ordered the typical set of food that has a bit of everything. And, at the end of the day we were full and very happy. The crab legs were smooth, fresh, and sweet. The crab cakes were also crispy, flavorful, and scrumptious. We also enjoyed a beer with our meal. Note that the food is quite expensive and it's not only about the freshness of the food, but also the experience. It's casual and fun, and probably one of the best (yet priciest) meals you'll eat for crab legs at a restaurant. Afterwards, you can rinse your hands off and wash them at a watering station.
google avatar

F. L.

Yelp
It's a crab shack, much as you'd find in other locations with a lot of crabbers. Wanting the more local crabs, my dining companions and I had dungeness and snow crab (no king). They came out hot and were pretty good. I've eaten fresher dungeness in Seattle (and fresher blue in Maryland), but they were still tasty. Snow crab was an interesting comparison--thinner shell makes it easy to cut it open and pull out a whole big lump of meat. Definitely a fun place to eat crab overall!

Yelp
Out of Sitka, Skagway, the price of crab is most reasonable in Juneau. Expect a packed restaurant and a line. We tried the Red King and Gold King crabs. I recommend the Gold king, the flesh is sweeter. I thought the Red king was chewy compared to the Gold King.
google avatar

Brettny J.

Yelp
I got 2 pounds of the king crab. It came out to like $180. I thought it would be cheaper but that's how much it is in Texas. There were pieces of it that were over done and crabby/fishy tasting. That was annoying. Sitting right under the heaters helped with the freezing cold eventhough it was the end of May. They did bring the food all the way to where we were sitting. It was a little difficult getting an Uber back to the ship but we got it.
google avatar

Yelp
Expensive but I'm sure if you paid for a cruise to get here you can afford one of the best meals in all of Alaska

Yelp
This is definitely a tourist spot! It's right on the pier where the cruise ships dock. Pretty impressive, too, with the large pots of giant king crab legs steaming. They actually have two locations. The 2nd one is about a mile away from the first one. That's the one we went to. It was less crowded and not as noisy. Plus we felt like taking a walk. The crab is pricey! My friend and I split the #1 Crab Shack Combo for $85. It included a small crab bisque, warm garlic rolls, 4 mini crab cakes and 14oz. of king crab. There was plenty to split. We each also got a glass of wine. The crab legs were meaty and delicious! The rest of the dishes were very disappointing. The crab cakes were little deep fried medallions with little to no crab. The crab bisque was served, at most, lukewarm. We flagged down someone and asked if we could have it heated up. Ten minutes later we still didn't have our chowder back. The employee said that something was broken so they were having trouble heating it up. We finally received it and it was very underwhelming. It was a thick, light red creamy broth, but just didn't have the flavor. There were a few nice chunks of crab in it. The garlic rolls were the basic store bought rolls brushed with a little garlic butter on top. They were dry; definitely nothing special. I'm glad we tried the restaurant. The crab was delicious. The other items disappointing. Now I can say that I had crab in Alaska.

Yelp
The food was exceptional for our entire group. King grab, beer battered shrimp, bisque, crab cakes. Prices were high, but food quality was absolutely worth it. Seating is outdoors but heated and and amazing view. Staff was very friendly, Tammy rocks!

Yelp
If you are in Juneau, you know that you have to go to Tracy's King Crab shack for a crab feast. The original shack is on the Port area, and is usually full of locals and tourists. We walked the extra 15 minutes to get to the smaller crab shack and it was well worth it. There weren't many people and we were served instantly. I was blown away by the generous portions and how big the king crab legs were-- They were almost as long as my arm length. Everything is delicious and it's so great to eat there while overlooking the water.
google avatar

Erin D.

Yelp
The best crab I've ever had. Hands down. Pro tip: avoid the long lines of tourists at Tracy's Crab Shack near the cruise port and walk 10 min down the road to Tracy's Crab Shack 2. It's larger, open longer, and has more seating. It's across the street from the Alaska State Museum which is great! Our group ordered Norton Crab, King Crab, and Dungeness. It's all amazing. Norton was the sweetest crab I've ever tasted. The crab bisque is delicious as well!
google avatar

Catherine M.

Yelp
We had the best meal here during our Alaska cruise! Pro tip: There are two locations in Juneau. Skip the lines and head to this spot. It's a 10 minutes walk from the cruise port, shorter lines, more seating and has a fun casual vibe! The Norton Sound King crab was my favorite. Live music was setting up around 5 pm as we were finishing an early dinner. Other reviews compared this to Skagway Fish ( next port stop). After trying both places, I definitely consider Tracy's King Crab the best.

Yelp
Awesome food at the "outdoor" location. Got dropped off after our helicopter tour with Coastal helicopters.

Yelp
I suggest this spot over way more crowded other Tracy's shack . The view was amazing and the crab was of the highest quality. The garlic rolls were great company with the crab! Thank you we will be back!

Yelp
This place is BUSY!! We came off a cruise and at first the line wasn't as huge but literally 5 minutes later the line was 30 people out the door and didn't die down until it was almost time to get on the boat! They do a pretty good job of getting people in and food out fairly quickly. The food is WORTH the WAIT, Hubs and I split a crab cake roll, it had some crab meat + crab cakes + coleslaw. OMG it was juicy, it was hot (not spicy), it was delicious! *they have hot sauce by the hand washing station. It's set up like a cafeteria with long tables and benches inside, they also have a covered space with heaters outside. Would wait in line again.

Faline M.

Yelp
Tracy, thank you so much for your hospitality tonight! I was with Dr. To as part of the staff and you really made the entire experience special. The food was amazing, the energy of you and your staff was amazing. All around, you guys really made our night. Thank you, thank you! If you are a tourist hoping to get a good taste of real Alaskan crab, please give this local business a try! You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
We arrived in port around 2pm, one of the last ships to arrive on a Tuesday. We could already tell upon arrival that Juneau was very busy. We got off the ship around 2:15pm and opted to walk from the furthest port instead of wait in the ridiculously long line for a shuttle. We got to the Tracy's in port and the line was out the door! No telling how long the wait would have been. Immediately passed that line and walked an additional 10 mins to this location. We are so glad we did because there was no wait when we arrived. Put our order in, sat down, and our order was brought to us within 10 mins! Made for very good timing because we arrived around 2:45pm and were on our way by 3:30pm. Perfect because we had enough time leftover to get up to Mt Roberts! I'm sure if we waited for the other Tracy's, that would have been our day in port.
google avatar

Yelp
If you only go 1 place to eat in Juneau,AK make it here! This is the BEST, freshest, meaty king crab you're ever going to get in the states! It's a fun experience too as when you order they serve it on sheet of paper for easy cleanup. This king crab was heavenly super fresh and I'm not sure I'll taste it like this again unless I come back. The crab basically fell out of the shell and there was no work getting the meat out! Price point was not that bad considering what we were getting. We tried king crab in Sitka too and it didn't compare to Tracy's! Well worth the price of the meal.

Yelp
We had the Norton Sound crab legs ( Alaskan only special crab) and it was amazing, Life altering. Had the bisque with rice and ooooh let me tell you-Silky smooth rich goodness.!!! The crab cakes were good and The shrimp basket, didn't love the breading but the shrimp out of the breading was delicious!!!!! We have booked another Alaskan cruise and will be back in summer of 2025!!!!!

Yelp
The biggest highlight of my Alaskan cruise was in Juneau as we visited Tracy's Crab Shack 2! At $70 per pound, we ordered the ALASKAN GOLDEN KING CRAB since it's described to have a mild rich flavor, is locally caught, and has limited supply. This was definitely the right pick since the seafood was so fresh. It also comes with a butter dip - it was neat to taste the different flavors that are brought out with and without the butter. The garlic roll on the side was also nice and fluffy. Fun fact: to make the crab legs easier to eat, they give you tools as an aid. I highly recommend skipping the long line up at Tracy's King Crab Shack 1 which is the location closer to the port and gets some steps in, to visit their second location. No lines. Beautiful views. So worth the walk! The staff were friendly. Not much service as per the nature of the venue which isn't a traditional restaurant-style but rather truly a "Shack". One of the crew members did come to check up on us once to ask if we needed anything. When you enter the area, you order at the booth per pound, giving them your name and where you're from. While you sit to wait, they call out "[your name] from [place]!" and bring the food to you. You are more than welcome to help yourself to iced water which they keep fully stocked up and cold near the seating area. There are metal picnic tables or bar stool type seats - your choice!
google avatar

Erin M.

Yelp
Nom nom nom. We went to this location as the lines are not as long as the one near the port from reviews and they were correct. We were able to get our food promptly and great service. You order your food from one shack , beer or wine from another shack if you would like and find your seat. Now they don't boil the crab in seasoning like I'm used to as a Louisiana girl but I knew this coming in. I had my own mix for the butter to kick it up but the snow crab was still very meaty for the price which was a plus. The crab cakes. Make sure you get them. The bisque was good with a little more spice we added to it. Overall if I'm back in the area I will be back. Kick back and enjoy the views here while cracking some crabs :)

Lee A.

Yelp
The service, and food were amazing. The ambiance was very good with big tables for a crowd. The crab legs were incredible and so was the shrimp basket. Almost, worth flying back just for the crab legs.
google avatar

JT T.

Yelp
Tracy's has 2 locations: one right downtown by the cruise ship docks, and this one, which is closer to the bridge to Douglas. This location is way less crowded and has way fewer tourists. They're very efficient and seem to get food out pretty quickly even when they're busy. Thursdays are apparently locals discount day. Prices for crab seem fair: $30/lb for dungeness, $70/lb for king as of June 2024. The crab cakes were also really good!
google avatar

Krista W.

Yelp
Location 2 is simplistic, great food, excellent service and easy atmosphere. Highly recommend!

M H.

Yelp
We were there May 5...awesome food, great beer! Fun atmosphere! They take your name and state you are from and bring the food to you! Great system! Clean too! Pricey but soooo worth it!!! Ate at the Juneau location. Very nice area. Plan to be back when we cruise again!!!

Yelp
Bucket list item- eat Alaskan King Crab in Alaska! This was a highlight of our 7 day cruise! King crab is my very favorite and my usual feeling is that I always leave wanting more! This is the first time I recall feeling perfectly satisfied! Big chunks of fresh crab dipped in butter... doesn't get any better! The atmosphere was fun and lively- Just a really great experience!

Yelp
Tracy's seems to have two locations. My experience was that the one in front of the cruise ships will immediately get slammed. This location is actually only a 10-15 minute walk and was half empty when we got here. So..... Originally, I was about to give Tracy's five stars. Alright, that's a lie. I DID give this five stars even with all of my misgivings, then decided against it after we went to Skagway Fish Company the next day. My dad and I discussed the two restaurants, from which my main takeaway was I didn't know this kind of food as well as I thought I did. Well, I was informed that Skagway Fish Co steamed their rock crab while the rock crab here is boiled. However, that might not be the important part. Rather, our conclusion was that the crab at Skagway was freshly steamed. The rock crab here is NOT freshly boiled? I mean, I do think it was recently caught, but the crab here seems to be boiled, then chilled? After that, some dude just drops them back in the pot again briefly, after which they are served lukewarm. The worst part is that the legs were all pre-cracked open along a line. This isn't just a matter of convenience. It doesn't feel like they were cracked right before they were served, but some time before that? As a result, the shells don't have any juice and the meat seems to have lost a lot of umami. My dad was even more blunt from the beginning. We basically reflected that while they were definitely huge, they had no flavor and no Asian restaurant would ever make it like this. Initially, I was concerned that I shouldn't write a negative review based around the seafood being bland compared to Chinese cooking. And to be honest, I still don't think I fully understand the cooking methods here, but I just can't accept this. I did like the bisque though. I'm usually not a big fan of bisque, but this was creamy and tasty without being too oily. And it had a lot of crab in it. I would say this was by far my favorite item here. The crab cakes would probably be better described as crab croquettes. They were alright.

Yelp
One of the highlights of our Alaska trip! There are two locations, both pretty close to each other. We chose this one because it's on the water and appears to be a bit more spread out. You order outside and then go sit inside covered dining areas with heaters. We waited in line for a bit to order, but it's worth it! And they have a system down. A few members of my group ordered the All-you can-eat Snow crab (they also have Dungeness). It comes with the most delicious warm rolls and butter. When you're done, you hand them a card you received when ordering and the servers will go to the kitchen and bring you more. It can take awhile, though, depending on how busy they are. I ordered a combo that came with 14oz of crab legs, crab croquettes (like mini crab cakes), bisque, and a warm roll. That was plenty of food for me and I got to try several things! The place itself is right on the water, with views of the mountains, but very close to the downtown area.

Yelp
We had received glowing recommendations from a few friends, one of whom described the food as "orgasmic." We ordered TWO $48, 1lb crab plates. Crab, slaw and rolls. $96 total, plus tax and tip. We were taken aback when the waiter brought our order, as it was a bit light. It was one tray, containing 2 crab legs, 2 rolls, two teeny cups of slaw, and butter. We each ate our one crab leg. We should've complained on the spot, but this was our first trip to Alaska. We didn't know what to expect. Plus, the place was extremely crowded and chaotic. By the way, the crab was not what I would describe as "orgasmic." I've made better at home from Costco. After this $96 appetizer, we went back to the ship and got pizza. In hindsight, the waiter probably gave us just one order. I sent an email to the restaurant and received a nonsense reply about how sometimes one crab leg can weigh a pound. (It didn't, and I'd be surprised if the two together totaled a pound.) I would never recommend this place to anyone.

Yelp
Taking my adventurous path from TikTok, I stumbled upon Tracy's King Crab Shack 2! Steering away from the beaten path of the "mainstream" traditional restaurant with all the cruise shippers, I went to the sister store in a gravel parking lot (it's still near the hustle and bustle, but legit more cozy!). Holy moly! That crab bisque is ‍! EVERYTHING WAS STELLAR - The view! The seating! The country music! And the yelling of your name and where you're from! One of the employees came to check on me a few times - super friendly and not at all overbearing. Two rolls and one bisque will cost $8.75, but it's soooo worth it! So flavorful! And the service, again, is SPECTACULAR! Five stars! The cooks are ready to showcase their freshly caught crab legs, so ask them for a photo! Will be heading back for round 2 of bisque tomorrow!

Yelp
We were in line for Tracy's on the dock by our cruise ship and it got long fast! Thankfully a staff member came out and told us about this location and said there was hardly ever a wait. So we hopped in a pedicab and headed that way. We ordered their combo which came with mini crab cakes, seafood bisque, and a pound of crab legs. There were a few options for the crab with different price points. We got the King Crab and oh my!!! This was the best crab I have ever eaten! SO much meat and such a delicious flavor. And those crab cakes and bisque....chef's kiss. It was all incredible and the quaint location on the water with mountains behind us was just perfect. The combo was about $90 per person and was 100% worth the splurge!

Yelp
Delicious king crab in a casual environment where you share tables over the chatter of the staff serving crab. It was absolutely delicious! Don't let the line scare you off, it moves pretty quickly! We had lobster bisque, crab cakes, a bottle of wine and a bucket of crab. All was great!

Yelp
I ordered the number 1 crab shack combo. The bisque was very good. I've had better flavor and spices in a bisque before but I loved that mine was pretty generously loaded with crab. The crab cakes with their dipping sauce were incredible. The sauce was a fanatic pairing. Added just enough sweetness to cut through the saltiness of the crab cakes. The rolls were a perfect addition for dipping in the crab bisque. The crab itself was really good. 4.5/5. My group has had better king crab, but if your worst problems are eating Red King crab, you're doing okay. Definitely worth a shot if you're in the mood for seafood! Neeva/Neva (I'm sure I'm spelling this wrong so forgive me), was such a sweet person and an excellent and attentive food runner. She had such a warm and pleasant demeanor about her. Never change Neeva!

Yelp
The most delicious king crabs I've ever tried! The line was long but worth the wait! Order about 1lb per person. Don't be greedy like us and can't finish it.

Yelp
This place gets after it! Get in line, order, and make friends at the community style dinning. People working really hard in all aspects of service. The line moves fast and is really worth it. They will even help split your crab legs if you ask. Lots of good food at an ok price...we paid $70 a pound for KCL's. They said it was higher earlier in the season. It is not a cheap meal, but sometimes you just have to indulge.

Yelp
I had come to Tracy's six years ago when I stopped in Juneau on a cruise and I loved it so much I knew I had to come back when I was next in Juneau. Well I was in Juneau last week and made sure to go to Tracy's. A lot has changed in the last six years for Tracy's. There's now two locations and it's no longer a little shack. There's one location down by the tram and the other location (this one) over by the coast guard building. I came for only one thing - Alaskan king crab - and you can only get it at this location. The prices have gone up quite a bit since I was last here, with crab now only being sold by the pound rather than by the leg (prices have almost doubled from what I remember). We opted for 1 lb of crab since it was between meals. This came with garlic rolls and coleslaw. The food came out pretty quickly and the crab was huge and piping hot. It was as delicious as I remembered and we quickly devoured it. The garlic rolls were absolutely delicious and I could have easily eaten half a dozen of these on my own. I didn't try the coleslaw (not a fan) so I can't comment on that. Service was friendly and they offer a military/law enforcement discount which was nice. Definitely stop in here if you're craving crab. It was about $50 a pound for it but totally worth it.

Yelp
Arrived at 7:45pm just before closing time at 8pm. Family of three and got the combo with snow crab that comes with rolls, crab chowder, four small crab cakes and 1 lb. of crab legs. We tried to order rice but they were all out at the end of the day. We got bonuses much more crab since it was the end of the day. Highly recommend. Server told us that she can't tell the difference between red crab which is twice as much and the snow crab. Service was awesome as well. Highly recommend!
