Trade Winds Motel

The hotel was the cleanest and best maintained I have stayed in at this price for years. Not a speck of dirt on the floor. The room was huge too for the corner room we got. Sound between the rooms was really quiet and the front desk staff was wonderful to work with! We didn't get the chance to eat breakfast as the road was calling but the menu looked good for a motel breakfast and included an omelet!

For a clean motel with front door parking, this will serve you well. Absolutely no complaints, fair price for the room and I can see that the owner/management runs a tight ship. Could have easily stayed next door in a larger hotel that looks the part but I was pleased we chose the Trade Winds. Would definitely stay again.

We felt completely comfortable here. Sweet little boutique motel that had the basics. Not fully updated, but a good night sleep and fairly decent coffee.

Great older motel. Rooms are big, pet friendly, and have vinyl plank floors. Great dog walking spots, close to Great Mexican food. Fair pricing too!

When I pulled up I didn’t have much hope but walking in our room was exceptionally clean. The staff were very friendly. Definitely better than a lot of big hotels.

Great value! We have stayed here multiple times over the last few years. Always clean and quiet. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is basic but but definitely enough to start your day! Love that we can park outside our door and not have to carry luggage thru a lobby and up an elevator.

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. It is an older, no frills motel. The room (#20) was CLEAN. The bed was comfy. I stayed one night. Hot shower, many TV channels, and a good sleep. Id stay here again. $85+tax (mid May) not including pet fee of $15.

This motel is an older building, but don't count it out. The rooms are large and comfortable. The property is very well maintained. Each room has a microwave and fridge. The price is appropriate for the lodging. It is quiet area, so good for sleeping. A modest breakfast is provided. Pets are allowed. Would recommend.

Very basic. Best thing to say. It was the last room left on a busy day in Valentine. Very thin walls. Lots of inconsiderate neighbors making noise late at night, camped right outside my door and window. There was no recourse since the office closes at 11. And the free breakfast is embarrassing. Not only did they open a little late but it was pretty much just coffee, which we had to wait to brew, and some pre-packaged stuff like danish. No hot food to speak off. The price is good and the rooms were fairly clean (except for sand on the bathroom floor). If other rooms are available in this pretty town. Take them.

Comfortable clean place to stop for the night. Our room was quiet. I like the big windows in front of each unit. The AC worked well and the shower got hot. Breakfast included biscuits and gravy, waffles, cheese omelets, yogurt, oatmeal, toast, and maybe a couple other things. Enough to get us started.

My Mom and I just needed somewhere to rest our heads as we continued our 'Nebraska Trip' vacation. With a rate under $100 for a 2 bed room, we used Trip Advisor and chose this motel. For a motel, it's nice. The main lobby is nicely decorated and they had a very modest breakfast available. Room was clean. I really like that the sink/vanity is outside the shower/toilet area. Makes getting ready in the morning so much easier. The rooms included a mini fridge, microwave, and a coffee pot. TV is very, very small and even with the air turned down to 60, the room really never cooled down. They do allow pets for a fee, and if you want ice you have to go to the main lobby and get some from the cooler in there. Nice simple place if you just need a place to crash for the night.

This was a great place to stop after a long day on the road and driving. We were able to park right in front of our room. The rooms were clean, neat and very inviting. The next day, we had a full breakfast for all of us, served in the lobby. Overall the place was quiet, quaint and very nice.

We always stay here when we are in the area. A super place to stay!! They also allow pets for an additional small fee. Very close to the downtown and the Cowboy bike trail is nearby (300+ miles). You will love it.

The room is fine, quiet, clean and comfortable. The so-called 'Hot Country Breakfast' advertised out front leaves something to be desired. The only eggs available were microwavable 'omlets' and the only other hot offerings were gravy, toast and DIY waffles.

Funny how small towns don't get many reviews....now the five stars doesn't mean this is the four seasons. This is a fantastic privately owned small town hotel, spotlessly clean, very fair price, flat screen TV, Fridge, Micro, Great Bed...Nice Morning Breakfast (waffles, biscuits and gravy, toast, cereal, coffee, juice) I stayed here while passing through town...twice in one week. a great find, I'll stay here again

We're here for two nights and we're quite happy. It's a clean, roomy room, the bed is good, the bathroom is functional. The wireless works pretty well but it's not real fast and a little inconstant. The person at the desk has been quite cordial. It's a good breakfast; I only wish they had a meat. And the rate is as cheap or cheaper than any we saw on Kayak.

Just happened to stumble across this motel...yes it is actually a motel where you park outside your door. Rooms are very clean, spacious, well lit and equipped with Wi-Fi, fridge and microwave. It is family run and they live on site. The grounds are beautifully cared for and it's obvious the take pride in their facilities. I travel regularly and this place is a great place at a reasonable price.

what a trip, found the middle of no were. Very clean place, would stay again, was in town for the marathon so only stayed one night, way better than the corporate hotels. The lady we spoke to was not overly helpful but in that size town if you can't find it in 5 minutes it's not there.
