Trader Joe's

We don’t do much shopping at Trader Joe’s. Most of our weekly staples come from Aldi. We just happened to be driving by and decided to stop in to check it out. The place was mobbed. Lots of shoppers, and lots of staff stocking shelves and checking people out. They have many interesting packaged foods, gourmet items, produce, and wine. However, there wasn’t much to offer in the fresh meat area. I couldn’t find any pork roasts, for example. I know people really love their Trader Joe’s, but for us it doesn’t quite cover enough of the items we typically buy at our usual stores. And for the items that do overlap, the prices are higher than what we usually pay at Aldi.

I travel from just under 2 hours to shop here and I never have a bad experience but this time I was met with unbelievably outstanding service from Nick V. I found a frozen bag of food that had been opened and I quick cleaned it up and let him know I found it. He was so helpful and kind and patient with helping me get the last of my grocery needs before hading home. As I was approaching my lane to check out he gave me the most beautiful flowers to thank me for cleaning up the small mess and that was just above and beyond the duty of working and has made my whole week!!! I cant thank you enough for such a great shopping experience!!!

Always love shopping here. High quality everything. Very friendly staff. Wish there were more TJ's around!

Never know what you will find. I love the excitement of finding some staples and some new items to try. Found the gnocchi that we love. Discovered pot pie pastries & they were yummy!! The selection is pretty good. Prices vary, some good, some a little high. Service is always 10 out of 10!!

This is going to be an unusual review. I love Trader Joe’s for their quality of groceries and their staff, for the most part, are pleasant and helpful, even when they’re busy. However, and I don’t know what it is, the customers that Joe’s tends to attract are rude and pretentious. I don’t know if they feel they have a higher prestige because they’re shopping organic but eww. They are some of the rudest and snobbiest people I have ever encountered. They will literally push you out of the way, no apologies or acknowledgment. I know there is nothing Joe’s can do about their clientele, but I had a need to put this out there and vent based on my recent experiences. Otherwise, it is a great place to shop! People, get over yourselves.

I spoke with Trader Joe himself, and we both agreed Nicholas is the man! Don’t listen to that one negative review. That reviewer was incredibly rude and entitled. Do a search of all the past interactions with Nicholas, and you’ll find out quick he’s a fine lad.

The staff at this location is always very friendly and willing to help when you're searching for your grocery/household items. It's always pretty well stocked and I never really have an issue finding what I need. The store front is always clean and feels welcoming.

Trader Joe's is always a solid shopping experience, even when super busy. Sometimes, the greatest challenge can be the parking lot but aside from that they typically have what I need in stock. If I can't find something, I can always ask a staff member. Additionally, the check out lines are efficient and move steadily. What I love about TJ's is their quality of produce, their large selection of easy to prep noshes and heat up meals, the quality of meats in their meat section, a wide variety of unique snacks, and their selection of beer, wine and liquor in a pinch. Lastly, what seals it for me is their fun rotation of seasonal items and snackies. A bonus is their $1.00 greeting cards that make for a fun surprise to send a friend. All in all, TJ's is a solid shopping choice.

Grocery shopping can be so overwhelming at times and I love the fact that Trader Joes only has a set number of products. I can find what I'm looking for, and there is always staff on the floor in case you need help. Always clean and organized, I've had a few employees, while stocking suggest a new product, and it was always a fantastic suggestion.

This is a great Trader Joe's that's a bit farther from the one I usually go to when I'm visiting home but I think it's way bigger and a lot easier to access. We were able to find exactly what we needed and got help looking for some specialty items.

Trader Joe's is pretty much the same where ever you go and I think that is one of the reasons it is so popular everywhere. I dropped in on a weekday afternoon and was surprised that it was as packed as if it were a weekend. After playing walking twister for a bit with far too many strangers, I had the most forced interaction with the cashier. Way too many too personal questions (I said I had just moved to the area and was asked what part of the town I live in) and just seemed very disingenuous. Small talk is a part of their job but asking a stranger what area of a smaller town they live in is weird. I have not gone to TJ's very often over the past 5-7 years and as we ate what I had picked up we found the quality had gone down. Go for the $1 cards, Shiner Bock, and the baking mixes. At 8 am since apparently people don't work around here. They are the only place I have found Shiner Bock, which is what got them the third star.

The checker discussed the store and recommended we double up on pepper jelly. He told us several ways he eats it.

Love shopping at this Trader Joe's location! The parking lot is big with plenty of cart returns. The store is always clean and well stocked. I always look forward to finding some new treats when I'm there. The employees are friendly and always helpful. There are a few items I have found very close to expiration , so as with any store always check labels. Overall a wonderful grocery store!

Cool place to go to. Neat and many healthy food. Wish there's more TJ around Milwaukee.

I wish they had more employees to help get the lines through here faster. There is almost always a line (except rare off hour times) and it usually trails out to the street (25 people). Then, there is the line to check out. That being said, you can hit the place during off hours and at least not wait in one of the lines as long. However, for all of their precautions, I watched as they allowed a boomer stroll in without a mask who then also cut the grocery line. I don't feel as comfortable when they don't enforce their own guidelines.

Don't shop there with a shopping list. They'll be out of lots of things that you need because they only have one supplier for each item. They pretty much tell you tough luck because their truck to store. They also gaslight you by telling you certain things are only seasonal such as cream of mushroom soup, really? The funny thing is if you go in and ask for something like coconut oil they'll tell you it'll be in again in a month. Okay I'll wait that long for some. You are also held hostage by the pseudohipster managers that think it's really cool to play 70s disco music at at at full volume when you shop there at night. Oh, and the manager doesn't like Christmas music so you are not allowed to hear it when you shop there during the season. All the little things add up to a bad shopping experience.

Store is always clean and well organized. The employees are all very nice and helpful. The food is fairly priced and doesn't break the bank. Love going here.

Of the 2 Trader Joe's in the greater Milwaukee area, this one is the bigger one. With the exception of it being bigger (and more packed on a Saturday afternoon than I've become used to in the Bayshore location), there is really no difference between the two, as far as the items on sale and the price. With the bigger space, things seem to be displayed better.... but being used to the Bayshore location, I had a hard time finding stuff. But that's just me! This place is the clean and great Trader Joe's we all know and love. (I do like that the Trader Joe's at Bayshore seems less packed. it's always nicer to shop with less cart bumping and screaming children.)

Family friendly grocery store outing for you and your kids, where each of you can have your own cart and pick up unique fresh and packaged food offerings. Don't forget to stop at the sample bar for a taste of the newest store offerings. And if there is something you were thinking about buying but not sure, ask any of the fun employees in a Hawaiian shirt for a sample. Definitely our go to spot for sushi, balela salad, wine and cheese. They have fun items to give as hostess gifts from fresh flowers, to cookies to dark chocolate espresso beans. And if you have never tried Speculoos Cookie Butter you haven't lived - I can eat this stuff by the spoonful! Their Himalayan pink salt crystals is the only salt we use and the sea salt caramels are to die for! Did your kids find the lemur? Make sure you let an employee know before you leave for a special treat. The checkers are friendly, fast and always ask you how your day is going. Ask them if you can ring the bell, I'm certain they will oblige.

This Trader Joe's is one of my favorite places to go. Everyone there is so incredibly friendly and helpful and those who work there always have great recommendations on what to buy. I feel very safe being in Trader Joe's during a pandemic, as they do very well in limiting their capacity and cleaning the store. Social distancing is enforced while waiting in line and there are dots to stand on while waiting for your purchase to be rung up. This is my favorite location and it's in the perfect place to pop over to Target in the same trip!

I've never really considered writing a Yelp review for a grocery store before, but TJoe's tends to be a favorite at baseline. And then they did something that has just made me love them more. I'm a frontline health care worker during this COVID-19 pandemic. A couple weeks ago, this Trader Joe's location brought bags of goodies from oatmeal to Cliff bars to trail mix. It was such a welcome surprise and incredibly thoughtful! I've been shopping here during the pandemic as well, and I am extremely impressed with their precautions! There has been a wait, but everyone is kind and friendly that I don't mind. Thank you, Trader Joe's!

This is probably my favorite grocery store of all times. Upbeat funky music piped outside and inside which makes you feel happy about your shopping experience. Always eager and friendly staff ready to help as they rotate jobs throughout their shifts so it's always a different experience for both the customer and the employee I am unsure how we lived all these years without them! Extensive imported , Organic, and vegan options and easy in and out. Amazing how a small store holds so much variety. I was having a bad day and an employee got me a bouquet of flowers (complimentary) which is another store policy to help improve a customers day ! Who knew?! Love the seasonal items but then sad when they're gone or no longer popular and go away.

I need more of this TJ just has more of what I want that you won't find at other big box grocers in the area, especially veggie items in the frozen area. Sweet potato and cauliflower gnocchi? Check! Awesme produce, breads, snacks and everything else. Prices are reasonable and it's easy to get in and out by stopping at non-peak times.

I love Trader Joes, everything is so fresh and delicious. I wish they opened up a new store by Waterford because I have to drive 35 minutes to get to Brookfield because there is no clean food available. Please open up a TJ in Mukwanago right next to the YMCA because it will get so much business, people will go in before and after their workouts, plus the community in general.

I have developed my plan of attack for this place. I start as a plain canvas and go with nothing in mind so I can stroll the isles until I find items that I just don't see anywhere else. This is such a unique place that has food items from every style of restaurant you can think of to make at home, yah most of it is frozen but it works. Today I walked away with Greek and Mexican items. Overall I have to come here every once in a while and just to try new items and it's nice to have this store.

I try to make a Trader Joe's stop once every 2 weeks or more if I'm in the area. They are always coming out with new and seasonal items. The seasonal items can sell out quick. I recommend stocking up or calling ahead if you're eyeing a particular popular item. I'm looking at you butternut squash mac & cheese and black truffle alfredo sauce. Trader Joes in house brand has so many unique finds. You can find the absolute best frozen meals. I recommend the palak paneer, mexican style corn, truffle mushroom flatbread, and cauliflower gnocchi just to list a few. Lets not forget about their wine and cheese selection. Trader Joe's is my go to place when I'm having a wine & cheese night. You can find a wine priced for any occasion. Their employees are extremely helpful and friendly. If you're unsure of an item, ask an employee and they will be able to either give you their own experience or open the item to taste test. Their customer service is truly amazing.

Polite employees, great customer service. Great space between the aisles. Way better than the Madison location but not as good as the Pasadena location. I grew up 2 blocks from that store and it is still the best store of all of them. One big complaint...the bathroom situation. Twice while I have been there, the bathrooms were completely occupied by employees. Do the employees not have their own restrooms? I don't believe it is fair to the customers or the employees to have to share the bathrooms. Please rectify this.

Wow...rude. The cashier must think she's a queen or something. We're all wearing our masks, there is a plexiglass shield, separating me from the queen, and I get scolded for looking at the candy bars in front of the register with her scolding me " You must wait back there until I am done." Uh...freaky. I get treated with more courtesy at Aldi, oh wait, also originally owned by Albrecht Discounts.

A euphoric shoppiing experience in the midst of the virus. I've never experienced such amazing customer er device - wish this is the only store I would shop at if I could. You guys rock!! B

This store has been open for about a year now on the edge of Tosa on the way to Brookfield/ Waukesha. Came to search out some of my old favorites and to find some new stuff to try. This location is larger and easier to navigate even with a cart. The last TJ was at was in Naples. What a major change people under 80 that are fast the new cheddar horse radish rippled potato chips are a thumbs up. My old favorites are hummus, pitas, corn chips, kafir lime cashews, wasabi peas, stockyard oatmeal stout beer, dried apricots, banana chips. an over all great experience compared to the 2 other Trader Joe's that I have been to.

Oh Joe (aka Trader Joe's), I will drive many miles for your goodness (or, in this case, 5 or so miles out to Brookfield). Trader Joe's is one of my favorite stores around--fun, delicious goods at incredibly reasonable prices? I'm. All. In. And, hey--no artificial colors, flavors, GMOs, MSG, preservatives, or trans fat? Yes, please and thank you. A few of my favorite (Trader Joe's) things: +Dried, unsweetened mangos. Some of the best around. +Ginger brew. The Trader Joe's brand ginger brew (they specifically call it "Ginger Brew," not really sure the difference between that and ginger beer, but they taste remarkably similar) has just the right amount of ginger heat and is wonderfully refreshing. +Their chocolate peanut butter cups. I mean...there's chocolate, there's peanut butter. What's not to love? But, truly, Trader Joe's chocolate peanut butter cups are very much a cut above. +Sweetened, crystalized ginger. It doesn't last long in my house. Why? Because, it's just. that. good! The service is always friendly and efficient and every time I've been in, it's been impeccably clean. They're produce section is somewhat limited and I do wish they carried more varieties of local cheese (I'm a little cheese obsessed). But, then again, they're not the biggest grocery stores around. They're small, but mighty. Get to it!

So glad Trader Joe's has moved into the Milwaukee area, now with this (second) store on the border of Tosa and Brookfield. Love their specialty items, wine selections and my favorite, cooked/frozen steel cut oatmeal with just a hint of brown sugar and molasses, packaged in a box with two servings for less than two dollars. It is the best oatmeal I've ever eaten.

Love Trader Joe's! I read an article basically stating that the private label Trader Joe's brand was really higher end products in disguise but at a lower price! Who doesn't love that. Their chicken brats/sausages are really good. I recently tried the jalapeno (a little kick, not too crazy) and spinach feta. Even though I usually stay away from pre-cooked, the ingredients on the package tell me that they are pretty good without a bunch of filler. Grab some flavored Greek yogurt dipping sauce close by! I like their boxed soups, too. Really good with a little bit of cayenne and/or basil flakes and finished with sour cream/greek yogurt or maybe some cheese. Their pizzas are good! Great chip and bread selection. Great things will be found in the freezer section such as fresh, frozen basil & garlic, spanakopita, fish, bigger bags of veggies than Mr. Grocery Store. And the WINE!!! :) They now have some private label beers. The "Light Mexican" was really good with a pinch of lime. Wonder who's bottling that. Yet to try the T.J. brand darker beer... it's chillin in the fridge as we speak!

This location has been spectacular in taking precautions for the global pandemic. All employees are wearing masks, each cart is sanitized as it is returned, there are a limited amount of people allowed inside, and they have a special system while checking out that includes not standing close to the register as the cashiers ring up your items and sanitizing the counters after every customer. Although the line to enter the store may seem daunting and long when you arrive, do not fret because the line moves rather quite quickly. The store itself is well kept and clean. As for the items, this location is relatively stocked most of the time. Some of the very popular TJ's items may or may not be stocked. Today, on a particularly HOT day, the employees had ice cold water bottles for the customers waiting in the hot summer heat. All of the employees that I interacted with were very friendly and made my trip very enjoyable. Thanks TJ's for being so pleasant to shop at and for doing your part in helping combat COVID-19!

I shopped at Trader Joe's yesterday and was so impressed with their COVID-19 precautions. They only let a certain number of people in the store at once. In the friendliest if ways, they ask you to wait outside. Friendly staff organize the customers. Inside at checkout, they have someone charged with keeping safe distance between customers and staff. The product selection is always good and of high quality. The best pandemic shopping experience I've ever had .

SOOOO glad this location opened! I fell in love with TJ's when I first visited one in Arizona. The quirkiness of the store is what got me, along with the unique types of food they offered. Over the years, there have been disappointments, not gonna lie. First, they discontinued the Chinese mustard wonton chips, then the pineapple juice, then, the nail in the coffin, the chocolate covered raspberry sticks. I was devastated and thought that my TJ shopping days were behind me. But then, miracle of miracles, they brought the raspberry sticks back! Life was good again! I've since expanded my palette to include the Indian simmer sauces, the Thai green curry sauce, the Cowboy Caviar salsa, coconut cookies, chocolate truffles and pretty much anything ethnic in the frozen foods section. Thank you, Trader Joe's, for expanding my culinary horizons and giving me a grocery shopping experience that feels like a tour instead of a chore! 61/2014

This Trader Joe's is close to my work so I frequent it often and always get sucked in. Lately I have been greeted by pumpkins and fresh flowers for fall which I love! The fresh flowers are always there though! They sell everything a normal Trader Joe's would but the store is always well kept, well stocked, clean, and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I feel as though i can ask any staff a question and they will likely know the answer, quickly find the answer or ask someone else for me. I love that they put out samples also. It gives me the opportunity to try new products that I maybe wouldn't typically try. I also so appreciate that they are constantly adding people to registers when the need is there rather than having people wait while other workers stock/clean. I wish other stores would adopt their procedures because it is a smooth running machine. Their prices are fair, the products are high quality, made with healthy ingredients and it is one of my favorite grocery stores-especially for wine!

I love the flowers selection here. They have really unusual and beautiful flowers to choose from. I often get two different type bunches and make arrangements with them when I get home or to a friends house which is a nice house gift. Precooked bacon is a thing of beauty. It makes breakfast so much more enjoyable. I am fond of their selection of meats cold cuts for sandwiches and their delicious cheeses. Last time there was pumpkin spice EVERYthing and it was glorious!

Guys , seriously .... Pull over and come in here . You won't find cheaper prices on fruits and vegetables ! I've never gotten fruit / veggies from here that have ever been spoiled ! If you go toward the back they have fresh juice samples and food samples . They carry the cheapest wine ever ! And I mean cheap price not cheap quality. They have a huge selection to choose from as well . Another thing I like about this place is it has one of a kind items you won't find anywhere else, like their chive yogurt dip. I suggest going up and down the aisles because you will find stuff you won't be able to find at other places . This place is a great stop for people who are conscious about the ingredients they put into their body . They have food that is better for you without being typical and bland . It also doesn't break your bank :)

Thanks TJ's! An associate went in the way back to fetch us some pizza dough because the shelf was empty and that was the sole teasing for our trip. Then the cashier chased after me while I was leaving the store to give me a sweet little bouquet of flowers after learning it was both my birthday and my wedding anniversary. What a lovely gesture! Just reinforced what I already think about TJs. Love this store!

We love Trader Joe's. Luckily this one is fairly close to our home but I wish there were more Trader Joe's in the world. We bring our kids here because they like pushing the little carts and looking for the hidden lemur, which if you tell the cash register you get a lollipop. They also like sampling their juices and snacks. If you've never been to Trader Joe's, it is simply well priced good food. There is nothing snooty or pretentious or weird about it. Our favorite Trader Joe's specific foods are Korean beef kalbi (though not always there and this makes me a bit sad), French macarons (just so amazing and 5 dollars for a dozen is a way better deal than anything you'll get at a pastry shop), excellent well priced wine selection, and Trader Joe's brand yogurt in mango and peach, such amazing flavors. Haven't met a single unfriendly staff member. We love this place and will keep coming here.

When your only experience is the Bayshore TJ's, this one feels like a miracle. A lot of reviewers have commented on the larger parking lot and store - it's really great. I came during the week and it wasn't crowded at all. It takes a bit to get used to the layout. There's a lot of stacking of the shelves and items - not spread out like a typical grocery store. Pretty much everything can be found here. I don't come to Trader Joe's for a full grocery shop, but they have some things that I'll gladly make a special trip for. Those include, chocolate covered almonds rolled in sea salt and turbinado sugar, coconut oil, and chocolate covered orange sticks, to name a few. They also have great breads, bagels, bakery items and CHEESE. Cheese at great prices! The employees are always consistently awesome and helpful.

Oh how I love Trader Joe's. I especially love this location because its reasonable close to my home and its in the same area as one of my other favorite places...Target. Oh I'm am guaranteed to spend over $100 anytime I decide to venture to this destination. I actually like this local better than the Bay Shore location because I never have any issue with parking. The usual TJ are always on my list; almond meal, fresh organic produce, organic eggs, coconut milk, some tasty frozen goods and maybe a couple of bottles of wine. There is almost always some tasty snack and drink to taste at the rear of the store. If I'm feeling whimsical I may even buy some fresh cut flowers to place around the house. The customer service is always great here and if I don't find what I'm looking for they are always willing to help find it.

Dear Trader Joe's, Thank you so much for opening a store in Brookfield - it's far closer to home and superior to the Glendale store in every way. The parking lot is easy to access and not all jacked up like Glendale. The Brookfield aisles are wider and I think there's more stuff. Your employees are super nice too - even going in back to find an item that was out of stock on the floor. I appreciate that you stock frozen falafels, a delicious + quality Champagne at $9/bottle and organic stuff at way low prices. My dog adds her thanks as she thinks your treats are the best ever. Most of all I appreciate that the Brookfield store means I will never, ever have to go back to the clusterf&+k that is Bayshore. Much love, JT

In short, I love Trader Joe's and what they offer as a grocer. Good variety, really reasonably priced, good quality foods and a wonderful variety of foods you just don't find. And the staff? Every time I go there the staff is so nice. They actually take the time to talk to you and converse. I don't get that at any local grocery store (put any name here) or even the higher end grocer store (put name here). What I also like here is the size. Not so big that it is difficult to find anything. We have four you can get about 70% of what we need for groceries. Yes, we do wish it was closer to us. In the end, if it was, I'd probably spend way too much in the wine department. Speaking of wines, they have such a great variety of wines and some that you just can't find anywhere else and for the price point, you can find some really good wines. For those that aren't wine snobs or think you have to spend $30 to get "good" wine, I have found many good wines for everyday drinking. Even their brand, Trader Joe Exclusive wines are really good (for their price point). We have purchased meats here and they are good. Beef, lamb, pork, chicken and turkeys. Their turkeys are very good, and we like that they are vegetarian raised with no hormones, etc. Organic variety that is reasonably priced is a great option. I also enjoy the international variety. I have been able to try different dishes here that I really haven't found anywhere else, and the cheese variety is ice. I've been to the Shorewood, Madison and this location and found them all to be the same.

This was an amazing experience. Let me start with, I love Trader Joe's in general. The options are awesome and different and so so cheap. This Trader Joe's did not disappoint! Everyone in there was so helpful, I got food for the next couple weeks and wine for the month all for less than $200. Also, our cashier, Ryan was so nice! My sister and I had a lot of groceries to get through and he talked to us and made everything more enjoyable. Even some of the other cashiers chimed in and talked a little. I would definitely recommend all Trader Joe's, including this one!

I am so happy that I finally was able to check out this Trader Joe's location. I've been shopper at the Bayshore location since it opened, and my recent trip to LA rekindled my love for Trader Joe's. I visited on a Saturday evening and the store was not at all busy... the first thing I noticed was that the parking lot is wonderful compared to the Bayshore's fiasco. The aisles are large, the store was clean, and all the items were neat and organized. As with the other TJ's I've visited, I am a huge fan. The produce is always flavorful, the cheese selection is fantastic, and there are plentiful wine options. TJ's even carries hard liquor now. I can't wait to try their rum, it sounds pretty yummy. If I am ever closer to this location than to the Bayshore store, I will definitely stop to shop here!

Trader Joe's is the standard in safe shopping during this pandemic. Their safety measures show they care about their employees and customers. In addition to that the quality and prices of their food is excellent. Love this place.

This is my first time to Trader Joe's in this area I'm originally from California so I have been to the originals. Due to being Covid time the line was pretty long to get in the store. That isn't their fault.. Overall the store seemed well stocked the people were friendly. I was able to find what I needed. Think they need to open another Trader Joe's around here.

Seeing as I lived in Cali through the 80's and 90's, I am very aware of the awesomeness of TJ's products and have always loved them! Best store EVER is the original in Pasadena. The store's in Wisconsin however are another subject entirely. Still the same great products you can get at any other Trader Joe's throughout the country, it's the PEOPLE or shall I say "sheeple"??? Every single time I have been in either MKE store, I amazed by the mass profusion of "deer in the headlights" cluelessness exhibited by the majority of shoppers. Workers are always helpful and happy but I am assuming many are finding medicinal ways to deal with the idiocy the must see day in and out. Always return, but I wish there was a delivery service of some sort to avoid the aggravation of dealing with the tree huggers in such close proximatey!

What more can I say about Trader Joe's? Trader Joe's has an excellent selection of items I'm looking for. This is only place where I can find soy ice cream at such a great value. Also I can get some fantastic international dishes like Indian, Chinese, Mediterranean. And make them at home in my microwave . Visiting this Trader Joe's is always a treat.
