Traders Hotel is in a fantastic location. We upgraded to Twin Towers view rooms and were so glad we did; absolutely spectacular. As others have commented, the pillows and beds were very comfortable. The breakfast buffet had a very extensive range of items available. We did encounter a a couple of issues with service/food quality with one of the restaurants and in room dining (one day the in room dining was excellent and on another occasion not so much); when I brought this to management's attention they were quick to address it; a sign of course that they are serious about excellent service. Overall I would definitely recommend.

From the moment you arrive to the second you leave the staff can't do enough for you. This extends completely across the entire staff from lobby to house keeping. Polite professional and very friendly. The various managers are always on hand to talk with. They also help with the daily tasks, working closely with staff. Rooms are clean and spacious. We had amazing views of the towers. Location is excellent with nearby shops and plenty of places to eat. The spa is great. Swimming pool with a view of the towers. I would strongly recommend staying here for a 4/5 nights. That's long enough to see the limited sights worth seeing around Kuala Lumpur but plenty of time to shop 👍. A big thank you to all the staff 🙏

Arrived very early at 9am. Went to concierge to store my luggage and concierge informed us to check-in at Level 1. Was greeted by a nice staff at Level 1. He checked that I had already done online check in, hence no further actions needed. He offered to put me on priority list so that I can get my room before 2pm, and that they will text me once our rooms are ready. He also mentioned that I could just get my keycard from the Concierge.||Got excited that maybe we could get our room early. We then set off to Suria KLCC to eat and shop. At 1pm, still no text from the hotel. We waited at Level G, near Concierge. At 2.05pm, still no text & I decided to proceed to Level 1 to ask abt my room. That’s when I realise other people who checked in after me had gotten their rooms.||One lady, Merlin, attended to me, processed our check-in and gave our key cards. When I relayed to her my disappointment of having to wait without any updates despite being promised a a priority, Merlin did not pay any attention or acknowledge my feedback. She did not explain to me abt my stay, or where to go for our daily breakfast. Just sent us off to our rooms. ||Throughout the stay we experienced the following:|1. 1 of the keycards for 1 of our rooms didnt work.|2. The door could not open for 1 of our rooms. Called the maintence guys to fix.|3. Throughout our stay, we didnt experience any warm smiles from any of the staff. Everyone was very transactional.|||Plus points:|1. Gym was well-equipped & gym staff was very friendly. Even recognised us and made small talk.|2. Breakfast variety was ok. Not much but acceptable.|3. Rooms were relatively clean. Housekeeping came daily & promptly replenished toiletries.|4. Awesome views from our rooms!|||But will I come back? Probably not.

Fantastic hotel!!! One of the best we have stayed at, having travelled all over the world. Loved the family suite with two bedrooms and access to the lounge. The room was so quiet!! Pillows, bed etc were all very comfortable. Temperature easy to control. The lounge is brilliant, with excellent service. Fantastic lap pool (although gets busy at times so can be hard to swim laps then). Gym is ok- a little hot in some parts and a bit crowded in the weights area. Only downside was the cigarette smoke smell coming from some rooms, but thankfully that’s just in the corridors and didn’t come into our room. Great stay at a great hotel in a perfect location.

One of my best hotel experiences. When speaking to the staff about my son’s nut allergy, they couldn’t have been more helpful. The chef came out to speak to us personally. All meals were great. Breakfast was awesome. View of twins towers was cool. Swimming pool quiet with great views.

We had a club access room, a suite with a view of the twin towers from the lounge and the bedroom...amazing, mesmerising (didn't know the towers little up in different colours after 9pm). Traders is a great hotel. The staff are fantastic especially Cheryl (reception), Aiman and Dhachalina. The manager Koy was also very nice and accepted feedback about the hotel and his fabulous staff. Probably the best hotel in Kuala Lumpur...I challenge you to prove me wrong

I would call this hotel a middling 5 star. The rooms are comfortable and large with some sound coming from the hallway when other guests go by. Based on my experience, more 4 star than 5. The water pressure made the shower feel like a waterfall. So why did I think this was a 5-star hotel? We booked the club included rate, and it was an excellent value. A large number of choices and outstanding service. All through the hotel, every staff member could not have been more accommodating. This was 5-star plus service, over-the-top. Even though an excellent breakfast is included in the club lounge, one day, we decided to have breakfast in the main dining room. The choices were dizzying. You could eat yourself into a food coma. The location of the hotel was perfect for us. 10-minute walk from the hustle and bustle, but adjacent to the quiet side of the park. And if you book a Twin Tower view, I don't think there is any hotel that can too Traders.

Stayed here a few times for business trips and I can see some improvement or changes throughout the years. This time though I was told my room was upgraded to the garden view for 2 days stay, I was tad disappointed as I got a smaller room which is facing the other rooms with a bit of view of the Petronas Twin Towers. I prefer the spacious room with the sofa instead of the refurbished room with just a lazy chair to lounge. The space at the gym is a bit tight with the equipment and dumbbells section. Breakfast serves at 6.30am onwards on the 3rd floor. Good options for breakfast. Though I have other options for accomodation, I do prefer to collect my Shangri-la Circle points with my stay here plus bonus point for me is that, it's just closer to nature with KLCC park. Also, very convenient to get food and groceries at Suria KLCC.

Yelp
This hotel is pretty swanky! The steak and bar restaurant is 5+stars! Delicious and amazing service! The wagyu A5 was to die for... naturally I dined with 6 friends and everyone was impressed. The rooms have nice big comfy beds and service is present and attentive. Oh and the pool view is 5+stars 4.5 for the money

Yelp
Our room had a spectacular view of the Towers. I requested a higher floor and they took care of us. You can see the fountain show every night from your room. The gym is small but is enough to set you for a good workout. One could go out to the walking/jogging trail, but it was too warm and humid for us westerners (even at 6am). The breakfast was amazing with so many options! I didn't venture to the western section since I was only interested in trying the local cuisine. The KLCC mall sits under the towers. You can ofcourse walk to it or take the buggy which continuously goes back and forth. Be aware of doing laundry. I should have calculated the amount in advance. We ended up paying more than than the 3 days of food and drinks in Kuala Lumpur. Wonderful hotel and amenities - and I will certainly come back and stay here again.

Yelp
The Traders Hotel is in a GREAT location. Right across the park from The Petronas Towers, and close to a lot of malls & food/food markets. Ambiance: It definitely has the vibe of a business hotel, but with warmth to it. Rooms and overall decor are dated but well maintained and clean. There are, however, spectacular views of the Petronas Towers from their SkyBar, and select guest rooms. Service: The staff was very friendly & helpful. Amenities: It's a bummer that there's only one pool, especially given that nobody really swims in that one that's there. It's more a decoration for SkyBar. A box to check, but no function. I typically look for hotels with a pool. If I had known this one wasn't for swimming, I may have stayed elsewhere. Food: The breakfast buffet is really great! Fresh breads, a variety of freshly prepared items from cuisines all around the world, omelette bar, fresh juices (pressed in front of you) and much more. For lunch we ordered sushi and a steak sandwich from Chit-Chat. The quality of the sushi comes close to Sugarfish or similar. It was VERY good. The sandwich was good as well. The Kaiseroll is a good choice to help soak up the juices. The Supreme version of pizza at SkyBar, for dinner, was ok. It was clearly frozen pizza, but I did not expect anything else. Oysters are fresh, but pricey and inconsistent in size, on the same order.

Yelp
Definitely a 4 star level hotel even though some said it was 5 star. I got city view so could see the Petronas Towers but it was going to be one of my stops anyway so wasn't too concerned. The room itself was comfy and well sized. Everything was clean (super important) and bathroom had the nice walk in shower style that I like that doesn't have shower door. The Skybar is definitely a plus since hotel guests get free entry on weekend nights (clubbing atmosphere) but free to all on weeknights. As other yelpers have pointed out, the location is the best in terms of being close to Petronas Towers, KLCC and Pavilion. I like how its a short walk underground to the sky bridge which is definitely a plus since walking on the streets is a bit hectice (e.g. sidewalks suddenly dead end and disappear altogether) Overall, a great hotel and would stay again.

Yelp
Great view of the Petronas Towers and right in the city center. Views are outstanding and service was very good, but not overly friendly. We had to ask for whatever we needed...the shops in the hotel offer everything you'd ever want in the world. Valet parking, great food but very pricey.

Yelp
Fantastic located hotel next to KLCC Park. Good sized rooms with Twin Tower view. Very good breakfast with a sushi chef, a smoothie guy, a pancake guy, a pastry woman, of course an omelett guy, lots of Chinese food, Malay food, a veggie buffet and lots of continental options. Skybar with a swimming pool. The gym was nice and had a fantastic view over the city. We had a 5 corse meal at Gobo's Grill for New Years eve because everyone we met adviced us not to go outside into the crowds. Not so impressed by the food... Overall a nice hotel and except for NYE dinner and exceptional SLOW elevators everything about the stay was very good.

Yelp
We had a conference at KLCC. Traders hotel was next to KLCC. Took the LRT from KL central. Receptionist was efficient and lobby was on level 5. There were apples in the room daily. Rooms were always made up by lunch time. Covered indoor pool on level 33. Comprehensive gym. Walking distance to KL Suria shopping. Also walking 15 minutes to Pavilion shopping in Bukit Bintang and Food street Jalan Alor. There's a jogging trail in the KLCC park next to hotel. Path is covered with rubberized pavement. Get up in morning run 20 mins, swim then gym it. A fitness fanatics paradise in tropical KL. Then attend the work conference.

Yelp
Traders Hotel is a wing underneath the grand Shangri La Hotel. Located in the city center, getting to this hotel is not an issue. Easily accessible by the light rail transit (Kelana Jaya Line), simply alight at the KLCC stop and make your way up to the Symphonic Fountain. You can opt to walk through the Convention Center or hop on the buggy that will drive you right to the doorstep. Right outside the hotel is a café, I was a victim to their overpriced drinks. An ice blended lemon drink costs me RM13, ridiculously expensive, no? The receptionist is located on your right if you're walking through the main entrance and the lifts to the rooms will be on your left. I had a mini staycation here a few months back as we celebrated my friend's birthday party at the well know SkyBar (I'll leave that for another review). My friend and I got the Deluxe Garden View room with basic amenities. The pillows were fluffy, towels were fresh and not heavily washed with detergent. No complains about my stay here except for a few small issues. Firstly, depending on which side of the building your room is, you will either have a fantastic view of the towers or be facing another building. I was lucky to have the middle room so I had a moderate view of the park and a few constructions. Secondly, the air conditioner though had a weird rumbling noise to which I called up receptionist but I guess that's normal.

Yelp
This hotel is overrated. Room is basic. Bathroom pocket door is stuck. Maintenance came and fixed it, but it remains sticky and required some pushing and pulling. Lying in bed now on my second day as I'm typing this and noticed a light bulb is off. Considering I paid more than RM600/ night, the above are unacceptable. Breakfast at traders definitely pales in comparison to One world hotel where I stayed last year. The pool was small. The gym was not bad. The steam room at my gym is 3x bigger than the steam room at this hotel. The only redeeming factor is the view of the Twin towers from the room. Would I stay here again? A definite no.

Yelp
The hotel is located opposite the Petronas Twin Towers and right next to the KL Convention centre. There is a buggy that takes you from the hotel to the shopping mall (Suria) which is full of great shops, restaurants as well as having a metro station. The staff at the hotel were pleasant, courteous and helpful. The toiletries in the room were by L'Occitane which was a nice touch. I previously stayed here 8 years ago and it was great. It now seems a little dated both inside and outside the rooms. It could do with having a coffee machine inside the rooms as is the norm in 4-star hotels. I didn't like the fact that the swimming pool is surrounded by the bar as it makes it awkward if you want to swim in the evening and people are drinking at the bar.

Yelp
Traders Hotel has the best location (both Suria KLCC and Pavilion are in walking distance, Convention Center at next door) and the best view of Twin Towers/KLCC Park. We had a bargain rate, $160/night, with excellent breakfast (at club lounge), wonderful (window) view of Twin Towers, and free (and strong) wi-fi/internet. Only $20 Taxi from airport (but $35 to airport). A covered walkway would lead us from KLCC/Traders to Pavilion (to Mall and Eateries). Passed thru KLCC, we would get by Aquaria KLCC, KLCC Park, Symphony Lake (where we could watch nightly dancing water show) and reached Suria KLCC (Mall/Square) and Twin Towers. We had soft and comfortable 2 twin-beds, a gorgeous bathroom, small refrigerator, coffee maker and a small TV. There's an entire floor dedicated to gym/exercise (36FL?). The club provided a place to relax, enjoy snacks/drinks/coffee, gathering/meeting, and viewing the magnificent Twin Towers. If we visit KL again, this would be the place we stay.

Yelp
5 star rating, 5 star service. Traders hotel is definitely one of the top hotels in KL city centre. Its located right in the heart of KL, just a stone's throw away from the iconic Twin Towers. We had a stay-cation a few months back and I have to say it was one of the best I've had. We only had a deluxe room booked, but upon arrival we were given a free upgrade to a junior suite. The receptionist were really helpful and polite. Didn't take long to check in and we were served complimentary drinks upon arrival. The room was huge and there was a bowl of complimentary fruits waiting for us when we entered. The bath room was spacious and was equipped with not only a bath tub, but a jacuzzi as well! We were thrilled. The view of the Twin towers from the room at night was so pretty and romantic! The breakfast was awesome! The pancakes were so fluffy and fresh, the maple syrup, cream and strawberries were all handpicked and as fresh as can be. Will definitely be back for another stay-cation soon.

Yelp
One of my favorite hotels in KL, Traders hits all the right notes for both business and leisure travelers. The hotel seated across the Twin Towers offers spectacular views day and night. First things first, the service here is amazing. Staff are super attentive and happy to assist you in any ways. Check in was a breeze with no hassle at all. The rooms are modernly decorated in earthy tones. Even though the room we stayed in were not very spacious, but it was definitely cosy enough for two. If you can afford opt for the rooms facing the Twin Towers! Facilities here are simply great. From the restaurants like Gobo Chit Chat to the famous Skybar, you don't need to venture afar! The pool might be a little small but we can hardly complain when you can laze around the cabana with a glass of cocktail with the amazing views of KL city centre. Definitely one of my top choice in KL!

Yelp
I just had THE worst customer service experience with Naru. He was a complete douche bag. I stood online and he made no attempt to greet me and never once was the word welcome uttered. After a long flight I had hoped to check in early which I understood was subject to availability. He was more than happy to tell me that I wouldn't have a room available until 2pm and there was nothing he could do about it. It wasn't the fact that there wasn't a room ready it was his attitude that came with it. He didn't offer any suggestions on what to do in he mean time breakfast etc when I asked he laughed and said you booked a cheap room you don't have many options. Wow how embarrassing and wearing to deal with his rudeness after a long journey. I will never return here to stay nor will I recommend anyone ever staying here. Nara needs customer service training asap. (Thanks to Chad for sorting that situation and doing so quickly. I will update my post after my trip is complete.)
