The hotel itself has a super friendly staff, excellent cozy fire by the bar area and a nice restaurant with local cuisine with a modern flare. If you're seeking reindeer, we saw several heards on our drive here. In the late evening once the skies cleared, we also saw Aurora Borealis lights towards the north out of town. This is a small town, not much to do after 5pm, but eat and drink, however this hotel has a lot of activities, expensive but I'm sure they are unique.
We did not pay for the Aurora tour, instead we drove ourselves using two websites to track the weather so I recommend you do that on your own. You can see the Lights from the hotel grounds if the Kp level is high enough and the skies are clear. Clouds are constantly moving so its about timing it correctly.
Hotel rooms for a double bed are a bit small but the beds are comfortable. Hotel rooms for a twin double are a bit more spacious it seems. They can unlock the door inbetween rooms to allow families more space between rooms. Showers and bathroom facilities are clean and a decent size.
Staff is incredibly friendly and speak various languages. I am super impressed and very happy with this place.
If you're worried about slipping on ice, I recommend buying the 8€ ice spike slip covers for your feet at the local KMarket in town. Worked perfectly!!!
Other than that, we will stay here again and recommend it, despite the thin walls between floors...you can hear people walking around.
