MAY 10, 2025: this place is AMAZINGGGGG!!! this actually satisfied my cake cravings so well and literally everything was such special treat. the salted caramel cake was perfectly made—the vanilla cake was moist, soft, and the perfect base. generously separating each layer was this incredibly fluffy and light cream that wasn’t too sweet or salty, which was perfect for me because i honestly don’t even like caramel that much! despite that, i really enjoyed the caramel injection because it was such a nice punch of flavour between the light layers of cake and cream. the earl gray cake was also amazing, with a very subtle fruity and flowery taste. the cakes are seriously SO FLUFFY and HAD THE PERFECT MOIST TEXTURE I CANT EVEN. but make sure you bring some milk or water because it can get a bit sweet in the end ! the chunky monkey was also so special, unique, and delectable. the solid texture wasn’t what i was expecting (the top part is a bit tough), but it was still perfect and easy to cut through with a fork. a bit hard to describe the mouthfeel honestly, but it was kind of like a bunch of doughy, dense, pastry insides crammed together. maybe that doesn’t sound appetizing but trust me it was AMAZING. the banana flavour was strong and perfectly paired with the sweet chocolate. the mini chocolate decadence was also great, and the perfect size because it was sweeter than the other cakes—but it shared the same light, fluffy cream and moist cake. even the savoury food was incredible, which i was honestly surprised by! the focaccia bread was perfectly toasted, crispy and warm, while also being super fluffy. the melted cheese had the toastiest, enticing aroma that you just couldn’t resist, and even the arugula paired so well with the saltiness of the rest of the ingredients. i definitely want to return to trafiq again and try other unique cake flavours in the future!!!!! ——————————————————————— JULY 13, 2025: I CAME BACK! and it was just as yummy as ever 🙂 this time, i tried the neapolitan cake which had the perfect sweet balance of strawberry and chocolate flavours. i also tried the sakura cake, which didn’t actually have much (if any) of a cherry taste, but a really nice, authentic, strong matcha flavour that i loved. both cakes were immaculately soft and fluffy, like they literally dissolved in my mouth (but in the best way possible). the same goes for the texture of the frosting/cream, which was so light that it was actually jiggly in my mouth ! i also tried the pesto chicken on ciabatta, which was so delicious. the exterior ciabatta provided a nice crunch, and the pesto was SO DELICIOUS and paired so well with the savoury chicken. i don’t understand how they’re so good with SAVOURY FOOD AND SWEETS !!! i got the mediterranean grilled cheese wiTh chicken, and it was also very yummy. it’s saltier than i remember and the cheese used was different, but i loved how all the ingredients worked together in the sandwich.

I ordered the matcha cherry cake, it was pretty good! The sweetness was perfect (my taste not too sweet), and the moist, soft texture was just right. It’s a small shop, so there isn’t much space and the tables are really close to each other. Definitely come back to try other cakes 🍰 !

Traffiq Café has good coffee. The cake servings are huge, definitely generous! I’m not much of a sweet tooth, but I could tell the ingredients were very fresh and the quality was there. Personally, I prefer the cakes without heavy icing by the counter or their cookies, which are a nice balance for the coffee pairing if you’re not into overly sweet treats. A great spot overall for a coffee break, especially if you appreciate fresh bakes and a lively vibe.

Omg I don’t know where to start! Our first visit and definitely not our last… the neapolitan cake somehow tasted exactly like the ice cream and the value of that nutella coffee cake is unbeatable. We will definitely be getting our birthdays from here now because the chocolate decadence was next level delicious. I don’t even have words to explain how good everything was from the cookies to the cakes so I’ll some pictures of what we picked up!

Totally impressed! One of the nicest cafes we’ve been to. My Americano was excellent. Not wanting anything too large we ordered a BEC on ciabatta to split between us and, without asking, the waitress very thoughtfully cut it into two and served it on separate dishes for us. It was freshly made – light, delicate and delicious with a thin slice of bacon and the egg souffle was perfectly soft. We also had an amazing chocolate chip cookie. Normally, chocolate chip cookies can be ordinary, but this was definitely extraordinary. Crispy and chewy with chocolate chips that the server told us were a mix of dark and milk chocolate. In addition to the bakery goodies, Trafiq also offers amazing cakes and cakelets – they all looked so good, we’ll certainly be coming back to try them. The service was super friendly and we left determined to return. Can’t recommend Trafiq highly enough!

I recently bought a cupcake from here, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. The icing was extremely dense and hard, even though I did store it in the fridge. It was nothing like the light, fluffy texture I expect from a good cupcake. When I tried to push it down with a fork, it didn’t smooth out at all and felt more like a solid mass than a creamy topping. To make matters worse, when I opened the box, a piece of the cupcake had already started to fall off, which made it clear that it was damaged before it was handed to me. I filled out the feedback form on their receipt, but never heard back, which suggests they don’t care about addressing customer concerns. Based on this experience, I can’t recommend this place.

Google
The cake was dry, not soft, and definitely not worth the price $55+. The customer service was terrible—the woman who helped me acted like she owned the place repeating answers to questions like what they had and if the cake would last the night, with an arrogant condescending attitude as if their products were a gift from the heavens. Give me a break. I suggest trying somewhere else, like Cadeaux or anyone really where they actually know how to treat customers and make quality baked goods good place to avoid also their hours make you need to take time off from work to get anything or go at lunch they have 10am to 5pm banking hours.

Lived on Main Street for more than a year but never had any chance to try this legendary café. Today's the day I pay them a visit. I tried mango passion fruit cake which was surprisingly so good. The mango was not overdominated and not too sweet which is perfect as the texture was soft and melted in the mouth. For the drink, I tried blueberry yuzu green iced tea. A little bit confused, I thought it was green, but it turned out to be purple. The taste was okay but I missed the yuzu parts since the majority of the taste was blueberry. Overall 4,5 stars Definitely will come back to try another shot

Went there for the hot chocolate festival and the ube cinnamon one was amazing. Quick service and nice interior. Definitely recommend

Yelp
For what's lacking in ambiance is made up in decadent desserts. By far one of the most delectable tasting cakes, petite cakes and baked delights. If you love cake , you'll be in heaven here. The lunch menu is decent but the salad was lacking . I don't like mixed greens it tasted cheap. I'm a fan for life for the sweet treats!

Yelp
My daughter and I were on our way to have lunch at someone's house so I dropped by Trafiq Cafe & Bakery to pick up some dessert that we could bring over. They have a deal where you can buy 6 small dessert cakes for $18 so we went for this and since they had 6 flavors to choose from, we chose one of each flavor! Pumpkin Spice Latte Tiramisu London Fog Chocolate Decadence Oreo Cream Cake Ultimate Lemon Each one was shaped like a cube which made them easy to cut and divide into 4 pieces. Perfect for sharing and tasting a variety of flavors. They were all sooooo good! Every single one of these was bursting with flavor and they were such yummy flavors! I need to find more places like this where I can buy lots of mini gourmet desserts for a good price! Service: Good Parking: Free parking on the side streets Location: 4216 Main St., Vancouver

Yelp
Ok I went for the desserts (which are amazing) but I didn't realize I was also going to have the best sandwich ever!! The cranberry sourdough was easily the best bread I've ever had in my life!!!! Also, the staff were so very kind and helpful. Very cute place. I wish I could go back everyday!!

Yelp
This is my go-to place for all cakes and desserts. I like to switch between the Homage to Earl Grey and Lemon Lavender cake slices. They are top tier for the no-too-sweet variety of cake. I tried the Chocolate Brulee, and although it was very good, it was a little too sweet for my liking. Their sponge cake is best in town. The seating area gets a little busy on the weekend and isn't much more than a fancy dining room so don't expect coffee-house ambiance here; but don't worry about it since the food more than makes up for it. The service is quick and they are very clear about what they are providing you with if you are picking up something for takeout. I also like how they provide individual boxes for cake slices if you get them to go. They are very well-organized.

Yelp
Drove up to Vancouver for my bday weekend and wanted to find a nice cake shop to get a slice from. Several TikToks led us to Trafiq Bakery, the staff was nice, the selection was limited to about 5 different flavors, we got the Salted Caramel & Vanilla cake to go but we sat down and ate the smaller cake bites there. The cakes were not too sweet and the bites were much more moist than the cakes.
google avatar

Emmika E.

Yelp
Super cute cafe with a fair selection of cakes and cake slices. Walked away with a slice of earl grey, pumpkin pie, and lemon lavender cakes. The pumpkin pie was my favorite, and was layered with actual pumpkin pie filling! The earl grey had good flavor, although it was a bit dry - same issue with the lemon lavender. I would go back to try their coffees and cookies, primarily because the staff were delightful and I loved the atmosphere.

Yelp
Ambiance was ok, service was passable Food? Even the tap water tasted bad And I am not talking the mud they served or the chocolate they offer on hot chocolate festival, cookie was dry aged to perfection that they should not be on the table It's just bad

Yelp
BIG slices of cake AND it's not too sweet. This was a huge piece of cake that I wish I shared with someone else! I am usually not a fan of icing and cream but they made it so well that I enjoyed it. The sponge cake isn't dry and it's packed with earl grey flavours. It balances with the chocolate icing. A decadent treat but worth trying! I think it'd be a great birthday cake!
google avatar

Melanie E.

Yelp
Based on the raving reviews I am happy that I ordered some cake slices for a birthday. Everyone loved the chocolate decadent cake, salted caramel, and Earl Grey cake. I also had the chunky monkey which was a delicious banana bread pudding. Everything was tasty! The cake was moist (even a day later) and the icing wasn't too sweet. The cake slices are reasonably priced considering you're getting a big slice for quality cake. You can order cake slices online which we did. Too bad they didn't show the other mini cakes online as I would have ordered more treats. Six for $18 which would make an excellent sampler. I don't know why they stated two pickup times (one in the morning and other in pm) as I wanted to pickup at a different time. A ideal spot to pickup some desserts and sandwiches for lunch or for special occasions. There's dine in and takeout available. There's a good assortment of pastries and drinks. There's metered parking on Main but there's free parking further in on the side streets. It's a busy place! I haven't had a really good cake in awhile. Can't wait to try their other treats! Too bad they're only open Wednesday to Sundays from 10 am - 4 pm. They're just off Main and King Edward.

Yelp
We came on a Saturday morning and it was pretty empty. We had an Americano and the strawberry cake. The Americano was pretty strong and went perfectly with the strawberry cake. The strawberry cake had a bit of tartness to it which I liked and it wasn't overly sweet. The cake also wasn't dry and I didn't get sick of it any time. The staff are really friendly and fast. Lots of places to sit. Great for big and small groups

Yelp
This is my 2nd day hanging out in the Main St as there are so many cafes and restaurants to explore. I came to this cafe today as I heard about their signature cakes. I came here with my friend and picked the Vanilla All Stars and Salted Caramel cake to share. The shop was almost full but it didn't take long for the cakes and coffee. The cakes are marvellous - perhaps the best cakes I have ever had since I come to Vancouver. The cakes ain't too sweet but the taste proved a good marriage of salted caramel and vanilla. The layers of flavour didn't cover each other but matched in harmony. Cappuccino and latte are great, especially after a few bites of cakes, the sweet flavours carried forward to the coffee and made it better. Last but not least, the staff is friendly and the environment is comfy with enough natural light. What you might expect is the chatting sounds around but it made a good vibe here. To conclude, no doubt - 5 stars for this cafe. Cakes are must-try.

Yelp
This is a unique review! I've never been there but judging by the cake photos, how can you go wrong. Can't wait to go.

Yelp
This bakery and cafe is located just South of downtown Vancouver off of Main St. Street Parking can be difficult to find. I stopped by this place for breakfast and tried their walnut coffee cake and chunky monkey (basically a banana loaf with chocolate icing). For me, the cakes tasted as one would imagine. They are soft and moist. The reason I give this place three stars is because I found the cakes to be too sweet. Some people might like the overload in sugar, so it's more of a personal taste.

Yelp
Ordered salted caramel cake and it was beyond divine. Had other cakes from Trafiq but this is my new favourite.

Yelp
Ordered a few slices of cake for my birthday and tried out a few of their newer slices including the red velvet, neapolitan, and madagascar slice plus of course, the homage to earl grey which is their classic and family favourite. Of all the cakes we ordered, my favourite was the red velvet because I love cheesecake and the cream cheese frosting was a little sweet but spot on with the cheesiness. The strawberry mousse layer in the neapolitan was indeed very strawberry and I also though the chocolate cake layer was delicious! The homage to earl grey is not my cup of tea (haha) but it had a delicate black tea flavour and soft sponge, similar to all the other cakes. Each slice is $7 which seems expensive but each slice is LARGE and quite filling! The sponge part of the cake is nicely done being dense but not overly so. I found that the cakes were a little bit too sweet for my preferences but I am quite picky with my desserts! My family thought the sweetness level was great though! Overall, I would definitely recommend coming to Trafiq for a special occasion or just a sweet tooth! I had my eye on the carrot cake so that one is for next time and they come up with new seasonal cakes every few months!

Yelp
Very busy cake place! Their cakes are pretty solid and I enjoyed the bite size cakes. It allowed us to try different types of cakes. :) My favorite is the coconut chocolate cake.

Yelp
This lemon yuzu tart is mouthwatering! I love how its not too sweet and not too sour, blended well with their shortbread crust. I ate a whole slice after my meal ~ Lemon Yuzu Frangipane Tart $31.00
google avatar

Tom B.

Yelp
Worthless customer service, arrogant and bad attitude. The product they have is good no denying it but lack lustre customer service gives them a 1 there are many alternatives like Thierry and others. We tried the lemon lavender and couldn't smell or taste any lavender also the icing seems to have egg in it they tried to make it and taste like a meringue which is weird. They also keep increasing pricing and lowering quality. Their chocolate decadent had better chocolate. Tastes cheaper. Avoid

Yelp
If you're looking for a solid latte, this place is it. I went in the mid-afternoon when it's not as busy. I was able to relax and do some work for almost an hour while absorbing the simple ambience of the place. Staff is friendly, and I will have to try the cakes next time!

Yelp
Trafiq Cafe & Bakery is incredibly popular; you'll find them tucked among the throng of crowded shops on Main Street. Sawasdee Thai Restaurant is nearby. We've visited three times (afternoon weekends) and it's always busy. Seems to come in waves but there's usually a line to the door. Despite the chaos, service is friendly and they come by to clear dishes from your table. Water is self serve at the back. There's toast, light lunch, quesadillas, grilled sandwiches (favourites and BYO) and desserts. Their most famous for their cakes but they also have cookies, pastries and drinks. Trip #1 - Mexico: Diego & Frida ($8.00) - white chocolate, sweet & condensed milk, cinnamon and a hint of rose. Hot chocolate was delicious; very milky, rich and full bodied (if I can describe it like that). - Tres leches - layered almond cake with condensed milk and cinnamon mousse. We didn't get much tres leches flavour but texture is light and airy. - Pear brûlée ($6.95 slice) - spiced pear mousse, dark caramel mousse and layers of soft moist vanilla cake with a milk chocolate caramel glaze. Loved it! Not too sweet, fantastic pear gelee and such a smooth texture. It was gone in no time. Trip #2 - Latte ($4.70 large) - sis needed her coffee fix for the day. - Flourless chocolate cookie with walnuts ($2.50) - gluten free so my sis could have one. - The amazing schnecken ($4.00) - these are like a cinnamon bun German style. Sweet, rich and sugary. Ask for them to warm it up. - Exotique ($6.95 slice) - excellent. Not too sweet, light and always a heavenly bite. - Peanut butter crunch brownie ($4.00) - this is extremely rich. The crunchy texture inside of the brownie reminded me of the chocolate itself. M ordered this and couldn't even eat half of it; she took the rest home. Trip #3 - Green goddess on grain & nut ($11.50) - roasted chicken, Brie, guacamole, pumpkin seed pesto, arugula slaw and lime mayo. Finally tried one of their grilled sandwiches. Really liked the arugula slaw; refreshing and crunchy. The sandwich itself was homey but simple. - Arcadia ($8.25) - rose raspberry cacao berry white chocolate served with a rose raspberry mini. You could actually taste the raspberry. Rose was light and floral. The mini was light and not overly sweet. - Exotique cake ($35.00 for 6") - we bought this for B's sister in law. Delicious. - Chunky monkey ($4.25) Will be back but if you go, try for a less busier time to drop by. Fantastic, consistent, quality cakes.

Yelp
We love their Earl Grey cake. It has a very balanced flavour. The Earl Grey isn't too strong but you definitely get the hint of it when you bite into the cake. It's delightful. We've also tried a few other cakes. They are decent but not as lovely as the Earl Grey. We like to order a whole cake for birthdays or other celebrations instead of just slices because it's fresher and softer.

Yelp
This quaint cafe allows you to build your own French love story between two pieces of grain. The soft bread will leave a spongey silhouette of your fingers as you cradle it and the spread of your choice will have more coverage in between the buns than Amber Heard's questionable attorney on TikTok. I don't know how to pronounce this place. Saying I'm going to "traf-fique" makes me feel pretentious. Like when you're at a Mexican restaurant and are speaking English the whole time but after paying the bill you sprinkle a "gracias" at the end of your sentence forcing the server to act like they're impressed at your feeble bilingualism.

Yelp
All my guests love the salted caramel cake that we had as a birthday cake for my son! I definitely recommend this place!

Yelp
This place is amazing!!!!! The best cakes in town! OMG, I cannot rave enough about this bakery. We get all our special occasion cakes from here and have even turned our friends on to them. A must try!

Yelp
Amazing hot chocolate this year! Definitely my favorite blend of hot chocolate matcha and pistachio. It was smooth and balanced with a strong pistachio flavour. My friend unfortunately is allergic to nuts so she couldn't try either drinks for the festival. She did say the Chai was deliciously spicy.

Pam D.

Yelp
The salted caramel cake is next level. The moist yellow cake held a hint of cocoa. In the creme layres, pockets of caramel made for a delightful mouthful. A slice can easily serve 2 people. Totally worth taking a trip across town for or with a friend.

Yelp
My new favorite cake place! I love decadent cakes and Trafiq's got them: - Vanilla Caramel Cake which is SWEET! And definitely satisfies my sweet tooth. I normally turn to chocolate, but the caramel in this cake does its job. - Pear Brulee is my hubby's favorite. The pear gelée outside is sweet, but the rest of the cake isn't. The sponge cake is nice and fluffy and you can taste the butter and pear in the cream. - Homage to Earl Grey is actually not as decadent as the chocolate exterior makes it look. Makes sense since they didn't want the chocolate to overpower the earl grey flavors within the cake, which really comes through and is the star of this cake. They also serve coffee, cookies/tarts, and brunch/lunch. We came here for lunch recently since they are participating in the 2019 Hot Chocolate Festival and decided to make a meal out of it. The place was packed though so looking for seating for a larger group (4+) was challenging. We lucked out but wouldn't recommend it - its more a quick drink/eat kind of place. Once we snagged our seats, we lined-up to order from the counter, then they give you a # to put on your table and bring the food to you; water station at the back to serve yourself. Our favorite sandwiches was anything with their guacamole... OMG... yum! Even though it was so busy, our plates were still cleared from the table when done and the servers checked in to see how we were enjoying the food and provided extra plates, etc when asked. Amazing service considering there was a line-up out the door! *Specific to their 2019 Hot Chocolate Festival drinks - The "Napoleon & Josephine" orange hazelnut hot chocolate was good; tasted like those orange chocolates you smash. The "Izanagi & Izanami" matcha white hot chocolate was just meh; tasted like steamed matcha milk instead of chocolate. I'm more into dark chocolate drinks though which neither of these were.

Yelp
Clean, minimalist cafe with brief savory menu of six sandwiches. More extensive pastry menu with cookies, cakes and bread. The "BEC on Ciabatta" was about the most satisfying vegetarian sandwich I've ever had. The Cereal Killer has the crunch and chew that I love! The Burnt Sugar Italian Cream cake was not as moist as I would have liked. Overall a wonderful place!!!

Yelp
I was here on January 11th for a cake fix and my visit was fantastic. I've tried a slice of Trafiq's cake before so I knew this place is worth it. I had Chocolate Earl Grey cake ($6.95) and Americano ($2.60) they were delicious. My cake was rich chocolatey and smooth, but a bit too sweet for me though. I wish it was less sweeter because I found it too sweet in the end. The slice was big in my personal opinion. I know I'd feel very guilty having the same slice of cake again (even for those who are calorie conscious or like something savoury) ;however they make good cakes in my personal opinion. Service was fast. Trafiq is a great place for a dessert fix.

Yelp
I visited for the first time this weekend and was super impressed! I was drawn in because their cakes looked appealing, but it turned out my sandwich was also amazing. I had the Vegetarian Green Goddess Sandwich, a slice of Neapolitan Cake, and their 10 Spice Chai. The sandwich was packed with brie cheese and lots of veggies that went together well. This was a lot heavier on the cheese than other green goddess sandwiches I've tried but I really liked it - I am a big brie fan! The whole wheat bread, which they bake themselves was also hearty and fresh. Their chai was nice too - it was unsweetened and had a "peppery" taste - excellent if you like spicier chai. I was so happy with the sandwich and drink that I was almost expecting the cake to be underwhelming in comparison, but it definitely was not! First, when I opened the box, I was surprised by how big it was - it was not the miniature slice that you'll see at lots of trendy bakeries, this was a generous slice of a full-size cake. The vanilla and chocolate cake layers were both fluffy and delicious, with a really rich chocolate flavour, and the strawberry flavour of the frosting really popped. Perfect ratio of frosting/ganache to cake also. The staff was super pleasant and helpful, and they got my food and drink ready very quickly. I'm glad to have discovered this place and I hope to be back soon.

Yelp
I love this bakery! I haven't really had a chance to discover the bakeries in this neighborhood, but I can derintely say that their food is amazing! The place was packed and for good reason! It is a chic/cute little place to go for coffee and dessert. I haven't tried their savoury menu, but I can say everything looked good! The ambience is nice and warm. This reminds me of a cafe in Europe. There are many options here and I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants a sweet treat with their coffee---or tea!

Yelp
Their bread is so good. They are all sourdough but how they bake it to be so soft, fragrant & tasty I've no idea. Every time I buy bread, the car would smell glorious. As far as I know they have these flavours on a rotating basis. Cranberry pecan, whole wheat, plain sourdough & my favourite, rye. The only thing is since they don't answer the phone (unless u ordering cake), so you don't know until u get there what is the flavour of the day. Definitely recommend the bread; a must try

Yelp
One of my absolute favourite places in Vancouver for cakes and baked goods. I've been here a number of times and my favourite to get is their earl gray cake. It's usually best to preorder as sometimes their more popular items can run out. I was a bit late to the game this time around in preordering a cake for a family member's birthday and a lot of their cakes had run out for preorders. Instead, I decided to try their pear almond tart instead. And what else can I say besides "Wow!" Although not as good as their earl gray cake as their cakes are in a league of their own, the tart was not too sweet, had just enough flavour, and would definitely recommend!

Yelp
Been looking forward to trying this place for a very long time and with the rain that came to Vancouver yesterday, what better day to try this place out (since it was definitely not an ice cream kinda day)! My friend really wanted to come to this place again since she missed out on trying their Matcha cake but it looks like that wasn't there yesterday either so we opted for the Earl Grey cake and the "Exotique" cake which is made of vanilla cake, coconut mousse and passionfruit filling. Seriously don't let the the size of the slice of cake fool you though since we were stuffed from having a slice each (plus a drink); we probably could have been satisfied with just sharing a slice between the two of us. The earl grey cake has earl grey filling for both sections while the exotique cake had a layer of coconut mousse and a layer of passionfruit. For the fruity palate, I definitely liked the passionfruit cake but found the last section of the vanilla cake to be a little too wet (perhaps from all the moisture of the cake?). The earl grey cake was also very tasty with a strong taste of the tea. Overall, both were great cakes and paired great with the espresso based drinks that we got. Not sure what kind of beans they used but the latte I got was definitely a little more acidic than I would like. Can't wait to come back to try their other sweets!

Yelp
Trafiq is one of my favourite bakeries in Vancouver! I have tried many of their cakes and they are always delicious. Never overly sweet yet the flavours are still emphasized. My go-to cake is the Homage to Earl Grey... it is so good! Another favourite is the Salted Caramel. They often have seasonal cakes, which are nothing sort of delicious. Loved the Pear Brulee and Exotique cakes.. hoping that one day they'll be on the regular menu. I also recently tried their Hot Cross Buns, which are so good! If you haven't tried Trafiq before, you are really missing out!

Yelp
This place is undoubtedly one of my favourite places in Vancouver. I've been there in person to try their desserts but this time due to covid I ordered online and went to pick it up. The actual cafe is very small (and PACKED with people pre-covid). They sell cakes, cake slices, drinks, and individual pastries. Their Instagram account is also very responsive. The ordering process on their site is easy and fast, with scheduled pickup dates. I ordered one of their seasonal orange creme brulee cakes. The cake itself looks beautiful with clean layers and luxurious decorations. It came on a cake base which prevented the sides from touching the takeout box. The taste was out of this world. Even if you had every section of the cake by itself, it would still taste good. So you can imagine the amazing flavour when everything is combined. Would absolutely recommend to everyone looking for next level cakes for events (or just for a treat).

Yelp
It was super busy Sunday because of Hot Chocolate festival, I guess. But my friend and I were lucky to get a table. One of their hot chocolate menu was sold out already at 2pm. Anyway, we had Chunky Monky(croissant pudding with banana and chocolate) and Earl Grey cake. Chunky Monky sit long in my stomach and tastes so delicious. Very densed bread pudding. Earl Grey cake had super smooth texture. Very strong flavor than looks. I love too. I'm sure I will be back again.

Yelp
Love this place! Very spacious and simply decorated with plenty of seats. Their cakes and sweets display is mouthwatering! The lady that took my order was very friendly and helpful. I ended up getting their house-special chai tea latte + carrot cake + matcha green tea cake + London fog tart. The chai latte was the best I've had ever! Perfect balance of spice and milk flavour - not over at all. I finished mine pretty fast and wished I had ordered a bigger size instead! The London fog tart was perfect - the tea flavour was there and not too sweet; just perfect for those sweettooth craving! I didn't enjoy the carrot nor the matcha cake that much - they both tasted too sweet because of the icing and the main flavour (carrot or matcha) was lost because of it. Regardless, the cake itself was really moist and soft. Huge portion size!

Yelp
BIRTHDAY EATS---------------------- SERIOUSLY THIS IS THE BEST CAKE IVE EVER HAD For my birthday cake, my parents had picked up Trafiq's Salted Caramel Cake. The cake was perfect. It had such a perfect amount of sweetness and it was so light and fluffy. Did I forget to mention that their even was caramel oozing out the middle. I'm speechless 10/10

Yelp
My mom loves this place for its cake and my waistline agrees to the soup. Pros: - huge cake variety w massive slices - whole cakes can be ordered - picturesque cozy - soup comes w thick delicious buttery bread - line up at the till to order, but pretty quick service - available outside seating, only two tables usually Cons: - only limited to street or metered parking - gets packed, as it is popular!

Yelp
this afternoon, went with some friends to sit down for some good coffee, good eats, and convo at Trafiq in Mt pleasant. as expected, the place was packed with people despite the rains. and i am not surprised...as inside, you will find a world of wonderful eats, treats, and sweets. from cookies to cakes to souped up cinnamon buns 2.0...its beauty enough just to admire the offerings featured on the glass displays. had some good drip coffee and hot chocolate. ordered the BEC - bacon, egg frittata, spicy tomato, cheese sandwich on focaccia bread, as well as the classic and timeless ham and cheese croissant. for sweats, had the banna bread pudding and the oooey gooey, special cinnamon buns. the sandwiches were amazing. quality ingredients for sure. no skimping on the bacon or ham. it was loaded, let me tell ya. the fritta was done nicely. not runny or bland. seasoned and formed well and went nicely with the focaccia bread, which in itself was great. moist and tender and more importantly, fragrant from the herbs and rosemary that topped the crust. the croissant was flaky and big and warmed up just right. the banana bread pudding was ok. not that sweet but the chocolate topping made it taste extra special. what was lacking however, was the aroma and taste of real bananas. the cinnamon buns 2.0 was great when served warm. but when cooled down, started to become tough. it was also too sweet, thus a bit overwhelming after a few bites. drinks were served in a huge cup and had a homey feel to them. next time, will try the cakes!! they look so decadent and exquisite. one thing they could improve though, was the food prep, speed and accuracy. some people had mixed orders, some orders didnt come. i would go back again for sure to indulge in the other tempting creations. cheers! happy eating!

Yelp
The hype about the amazing cakes and baked goods from Trafiq is no lie. This quaint bakery on Main Street offers amazing goodies that is worth coming back for over and over again. Got to try their tarts, cookie and schnacken and all were amazing! It's no wonder many locals line up for this place. Everything I tasted was quality stuff - no compromises here. The staff is friendly too! When we went, the dine in is closed (due to covid) but their social distancing measures are well in place for take out. Because the space is not too big, you may have to line up outside for a bit nut rest assured, it's worth it. The price may be a little high for some, but you can really taste the quality and the presentation is also wonderful. These are truly leveled up treats!! I can't wait to go back to try more of their menu! I really need to get my hands on their beautiful cakes and that schnacken (German style cinnamon bun) was such a hit with my friends that I need to go pick up some more! Highly recommend this place if you're ever out and about on Main Street.

Yelp
Nothing better than having something sweet in this gloomy weather! Love the cakes from Trafiq, they are super soft and each cake has their own specialty. Lemon Lavender: the lightest one among all the cakes. Love how it has different layers, with the top part as Lavender cream. Homage to Earl Grey: super flavourful and creamy Exotique: super refreshing, best thing to cheer you up in the rainy days. Triple Chocolate: good that it has the right amount of sweetness. London Fog: always matches well with cakes.

Yelp
Just a short and sweet (no pun intended!) review to basically echo what every other reviewer is saying - their cakes are divine! We ordered the Salted Caramel cake for a birthday and it didn't disappoint! It's light and smooth, and the cream is delicious! It wasn't dense or heavy, so it was very easy to eat more than one piece (which we certainly did!). All in all, Trafiq definitely deserves their cake reputation!

Yelp
The mini tarts were 6 for $10. Sweet deal IMO. I got the London fog, salted caramel, tiramisu and passionfruit strawberry cheesecakes. I also got the much revered slice of Earl Grey cake. The service came with the typical Canadian hospitality. It's rampant here! How are they so friendly? I stay a couple days and leave Canada apologizing and thanking everyone for everything. Anyways, the London fog tart was a pillowy cloud in my mouth with just the right burst of tea lingering behind. I should've bought all 6 tarts of those suckers. I know you're supposed to be dainty and take two bites, but in my hotel room I shoved the whole thing in my mouth. I have a problem. The strawberry passionfruit cheesecake was perfectly tart, sweet and buttery. I would get that and the London fog again. The Earl Grey cake was good, but I didn't get as much of a tea flavor as with the mini tarts. I am a bit disappointed with it, but I also like a stronger Earl Grey flavor. So far, those tarts are gold. Edit: the chocolate fondant/ganache on top of the Earl Grey cake diminished the tea flavor. I ended up pushing it aside and could taste the true essence of Earl grey. Pretty delish.

Yelp
You have to try the slice of the earl grey cake. The coffee and the sandwich (we had the breakfast sandwich) was also very delicious. Would definitely be returning
