We'd asked around before keeping our reservation, since we suspected this would be a place that relies on its atmosphere and doesn't deliver on anything else. We did get some warnings to that effect, but enough responses along the line of, "Oh, you should definitely try it while you're in town" that we went through with it. Turned out to be our one bad choice while in Ketchum. Servers really, really push you to do the prix fixe at $75 a head: Individual menu items are absurdly overpriced, such as the $38 trout entree. The trout was line-caught, but evidently not recently- not remotely fresh, it came smothered in a sweet orange sauce with overcooked, slimy greens. We both ate only a few bites. The server, nice but nervous, didn't even ask if it was off. In addition, the raclette appetizer was bland, cocktails were sad, and the dessert tray had one tasty (passion fruit) item among three others that tasted out of a box. We did have a nice view of Baldy, and the original part of the cabin (where we were not seated) is cozy. A restaurant to skip.
