"This Williams outpost is the hip motel most millennials dream of, with complimentary artisan coffee, pet‑friendly rooms, and adventure‑ready perks like lightweight loaner coolers. Inside, walk‑in showers, plush bedding, and warm‑toned artwork set the mood, while Miss Kitty’s—the on‑site restaurant—serves barbecue cauliflower tacos alongside an Old Fashioned." - Emily Pennington

Trailborn Grand Canyon Hotel Review | Hotels Above Par

"Opened in 2025, this hip, updated take on a 1950s Route 66 motor lodge brings a punch of personality to Williams, Arizona and makes a stylish basecamp near the South Rim. As the latest property from an outdoors-focused brand, it keeps the vintage bones—drive-up rooms on two levels and an old-school oversized neon sign with plastic marquee lettering—while layering in Southwestern chic and homey mid-mod vibes. Rooms echo the surrounding desert with warm woods, leather-stitched lamp shades, black-and-white Wild West prints, and muted earth tones with pops of color; bathrooms are refreshed with walk-in showers and Grown Alchemist bath amenities. Breakfast is included and served in the spacious Camp Hall, which also hosts live music, movie screenings, and family-friendly game nights, and the grounds keep you outside with a kidney-shaped pool and hot tub at the center, a fire pit for s’mores, bocce and cornhole, and rentable bikes. I found the staff go above and beyond to make sure you have an excellent adventure, and the team can arrange guided hikes, stargazing, and helicopter rides over the Grand Canyon; families and pet travelers are well catered for with custom doggie bandanas and in-room “camping” setups with tents and treats. Less than a mile from the Grand Canyon Railway Depot (a more memorable way to reach the rim than driving the 55 miles), the 96-room, 4.5‑star property starts at $175 per night and even houses one of Williams’ best places to eat, Miss Kitty’s Steakhouse." - Lauren Keith

We paid around 150$ a night. Rooms were clean. Great location of course. Staff was great. Very cozy and aesthetic. Breakfast was great but could have used some fruit. Miss kitty’s was a little pricey but delicious. Rooms do not have a microwave and only about 2 or 3 open outlets but pretty small downsides.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Trailborn Grand Canyon property. It's such a wonderful step up from the usual motels on a road trip like this. We all loved the comfortable room and pool, the kids thought the camp games were awesome, and we all had amazing meals at Miss Kitty's.||We pass through Williams twice a year on the way to visit family, and frequently spend the night in town. Until Trailborn opened we were stuck with mediocre motels. We were thrilled at Trailborn and will stay again on our next trip through the area.

What a GEM! Stopped by this hotel for a couple of nights and couldn’t have been happier. Rooms were brand new and way nicer than expected. Complimentary cooler bags came in CLUTCH during our round of golf at Elephant Rocks. The short rib at Miss Kitty’s was a HIGHLIGHT and complimentary breakfast daily was a nice plus. ||Jennifer and the whole team at front desk was SO helpful and Miss Kitty’s team was so friendly. ||Really glad we stayed here. Looking forward to returning!

My husband and I wanted to get away for a couple days to the cooler weather and decided to go to Williams. We chose Trailborn based on its closeness to Bearizona. We were extremely happy with our choice, the room was clean, the staff was friendly and they had so much to do! We will definitely stay at Trailborn again, but this time we will plan to spend more time at the hotel to enjoy the pool and some of the activities there like corn hole and the bikes you can use to check out all of the sites along Route 66.

Overall a good stay. We should’ve asked for an upstairs room. You’ll see lights from cars arriving at night on first floor. Nice friendly staff. Lots of games provided, pool looks nice. Newly updated motel. Nicely done!

Booked a one night stay for my husband and I to escape the Phoenix heat and this place did not disappoint. Super cute vibes, very clean and all of the staff was beyond friendly and helpful. We had an amazing steak dinner at Miss Kitty’s and enjoyed drinks at the bar. Overall a really good experience and we look forward to staying again next time we feel like visiting Williams.

The hospitality from the staff from the moment we walked in was superb. They gave us multiple activities and recommendations for our stay. The room itself was clean and quiet! The hotel is in a great spot to the downtown; it’s a quick and easy walk to multiple restaurants/breweries. Tiffany and Jess went above and beyond when we ran into some car issues on Memorial Day weekend. They sprung into action to help us. Would give this place 6 stars if I could!! Excited to book a future stay here

The hotel was recently remodeled and the rooms are very nice and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. We were three couples staying two nights. Though we all booked on the website, for some reason, one couple was charged less. Towels in the rooms were minimal, and ours was missing a shower mat. I never did ask housekeeping for one. The beds are VERY comfortable! our first night, the hot tub wasn't working, but it was fixed by the next day. Towels are provided at the pool, which is heated. There is "coffee" in the rooms, but it's instant. A single-cup Kuerig would be more appealing. That said, the included breakfast buffet was very good, including the coffee - though decaf is not available. There is a large game room and bikes to borrow. Overall, compared to other options in the area, it is a good value, and I definitely recommend Trailborn.

Yelp
When we had an opportunity to drive our girls home from college from North Carolina to California my husband said he really wanted to see the Grand Canyon on the way home. He chose Trailborn probably because abuse it has ties to the Bonvoy collection of lodging. Trailborn Grand Canyon appears to be a remodel project where every detail has been thoughtfully executed. The branding is immaculate. So cute. Honestly reminds me of my daughter's artwork and creativity. The accommodations are tight/cozy but super comfy. I needed an iron and they only provide steamers. Very millennial. Steamers don't work for everything. We were only here one night but would like to come back with our whole family and grandson.
