Trailborn Highlands

This was a very nice clean hotel. The rooms had a fun retro feel to them. They have a very welcoming area and a nice deck. They also have A really nice cozy fire pit area, where they offer blankets and you can take refreshments out there. The thing that I most liked about it was their Nordic spa is an outdoor sauna with its own fire pit area, where they bring you specialty drinks, oil scented cool towels for your face or neck and A coconut scented skin scrub. The staff here was incredibly kind and very accommodating. When I come Back with my husband we were going to stay at the old Edwards Inn but honestly, I think we may just stay here. The price is very reasonable and like I said the services over the top. Also, they have an amazing restaurant on property called the Highlands supper club. The food was amazing and the ambience was great in an old cabin.

Such a wonderful new hidden gem! The hotel is beautiful and the decor is very earthy and natural, which I love. All of the staff was so kind and welcoming during our stay. I loved the fire pit and coffee and tea options that were available. We did not dine at the Supper Club on property, but had drinks and tried their biscuits which were delicious. There were cute bikes available to use, but we did not use them on this trip. I would recommend Trailborn Highlands to anyone looking for a cozy and relaxing stay, and look forward to visiting their are other locations out west.

We drove up from Atlanta for a one night stay for my husband’s birthday and it was the perfect choice. The hotel staff are incredibly helpful and kind. The hotel is beautiful and so cozy - definitely a place you want to hang out in, rather than just a place to sleep. We had a king room with fireplace and it was beautiful, super clean and so comfortable. They really go above and beyond with amenities here. But our favorite part was definitely the Nordic spa. It isn’t 100% private so bring your swimsuit. But it totally exceeded our expectations and was the best part of our trip. The only thing that could be improved is that we could hear the tv playing and people talking in the room next door when we were trying to go to sleep, not because they were loud but because sound seems to travel a bit in the hotel. We asked at the front desk for ear plugs but they didn’t have any (though they offered to move us). But we would definitely stay here in again in a heartbeat and look forward to trying out their other locations.

We had a beautiful weekend here! The location is wonderful, we were even able to ride their bikes downtown for a breakfast. The service is also incredible. The people are kind and made every moment with them special! Their facility (especially the Nordic Spa) were clean and luxurious.

This was a last-minute overnight my wife and I scheduled on our drive from SC to Cashiers, through Highlands , Murphy then back home in GA. What a wonderful place. The decor was perfect for a mountain getaway. The rooms were clean and newly renovated. The lobby area had plenty of seating for us to enjoy a self-packed picnic and game of Yatzee (games provided). The outdoor fire pit was roaring in the evening. And the staff was so friendly and professional. Sage was very helpful when booking over the phone. Bull at the front desk was always available to answer our questions and make sure we were taken care of. He gave us directions and made recommendations. We will most certainly be back for another stay.

Thoroughly enjoyed Trailborn Highlands! Cozy rustic setting on the quiet end of town nestled in the woods, yet walking distance to all that Highlands Downtown has to offer! Loved the king -private patio area room with amazing views of the sunrise each morning then Relaxing by the cozy fire pit area, watching the sun go down after enjoying the day hiking, visiting the beautiful waterfalls in the area and shops in Downtown Highlands! It was especially nice arriving later in the evening on Friday to a very welcoming staff, then to the room where relaxing music was playing and a warm cozy fireplace was there to enjoy as we settled in for the first night in Highlands. Very nice touch Trailborn! Trailborn Highlands, thank you for making our first trip to Highlands a very memorable one! We will definitely be back again soon!!

Great stay. Rooms were large and bed was comfortable. Fly fishing excursion was amazing. 100% recommend it! We love Highlands area and this new hotel with all its amenities was a true find. Staff were great and really accommodating. We’ll be back.

I recently stayed at Trailborn, and I have to say, it was a really great experience. The hotel itself is gorgeous—everywhere you look, there’s something beautiful to admire. The design is modern and stylish, with some really cool artwork that adds a nice touch. The rooms were just as impressive. They’re not just comfortable, but also thoughtfully designed, almost like stepping into a little art gallery. What really made my stay special, though, was the customer service. The staff went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed, always with a smile and genuine warmth. It made the whole experience even better. Overall, I loved my stay at Trailborn and wouldn’t hesitate to come back. Great for kids and dogs! Thanks for everything Trailborn team!
