We went mid -November. Its a great location to stay right in the park. We had full hook-ups and it was quiet. The elk walked right through the campground which was fun to see. However, there are no amenities in the park for kids like playgrounds or anything. The showers were closed. They have a free shuttle.bus that comes every 15 minutes to the front of the park and it takes you to the Village downtown, the visitor center and many more stops in The Grand Canyon. It makes it easy to get around and not worry about parking.

Google
Trailer Park Village was amazing close to the southern rim of the Grand Canyon. The staff were amazingly friendly very helpful. They have shuttles that take you to and from the ram makes it easier for someone as myself that is handicapped and cannot walk long distances. I would highly recommend this to anyone and everyone that wants to see the Grand Canyon Great place great people.

Google
Trailer Village RV Park is a great place to camp at the Grand Canyon. Restaurants, hikes, groceries, bars, and shuttle services are all in walking distance. The bathhouses are clean and sites well maintained. The South Rim Trail is less than a mile walk from your campsite. We had a great time camping at Trailer Village RV.

Carol W.

Google
Loved having elk munching on the trees and grazing right next to the RV! Quiet. Well managed and clean. Convenient bathrooms and showers nearby. Paved spots with picnic table and fire pit with a grate. Free shuttle to take you throughout the park.

Google
Trailer Village Never Disappoints. We love going to the Grand Canyon National Park and our preferred place to stay is the Trailer Village campground. It is clean, safe, and well cared for. The staff are welcoming and helpful. The rack that it is a 15 minute walk to the canyon rim makes it the perfect place to stay.

Robin W.

Google
This is our second time to visit this park. It is nestled within walking distance from the market and within a few minute car/bicycle ride to the village. Elks often wander throughout the campsite. It is a great place to stargaze at night. And of course super close to get to the village for a Canyon hike. We will be back.

Robin M.

Google
Great site and location. Would highly recommend for anyone visiting the Grand Canyon. Clean sites, nice setup, helpful staff.

Google
The only thing this campground has going for it, is that it's inside the national park. Other than that, expect: -RV to get scraped up with low hanging branches on entrance / exit and campground roads. We watched multiple low profile 5th wheels have their roof scraped by branches. -no space from your neighbor -unlevel sites (almost everyone was on levelers of some sort) -poor road conditions (especially on the classic side). Looks like they are basically letting asphalt fall apart into gravel but not taking care of it. -closed restrooms and nothing nearby -no instructions/very little info at check in For as much as they charge...89/night they need to invest back into their campground. I would not stay here again until major improvements are made. Not worth wrecking my rig. No hookups, Mather campground was super nicely kept. Unfortunately it's limited to 30ft or under but could totally handle 40 and under. Roads and trees in that campground are well maintained.

Yelp
Very well organized and laid out. I love that all spots are pull through so not more backing in nightmares and arguments. All services were well maintained except cable. Could figure that out but didn't really need it anyways. This park is within a good hike 2 miles maybe to the southern rim center for the Grand Canyon. Priced well and staff was super friendly. Will return again

Yelp
First time staying here and honestly it's so convenient being able to RV camp within a national park. Proximity to the bus stop was awesome and made our trip that much easier. The campground check-in process was easy enough (make sure to arrive before the kiosk closes), though the signage on where to pull over could be improved - we pulled over where we though it wanted us to and got stuck in the mud but thankfully it was nothing a little 4x4 action couldn't get us out of. We visited in February so it was chilly with snow still on the ground, but the full hookups made that a minor complaint. The only thing I'd improve is how they assign spots. Basically, you get your spot assigned at check-in and they fill the campground from front to back and don't spread people out. Would be nice to get a little distance between campers especially when it's not a heavy visitor weekend. Other than that, we'd definitely visit again if we came back to this side/rim of the grand canyon.

Yelp
We loved this campground! We got off to a rocky start, trying to get set up in the pouring rain and the site was wildly unlevel and we had to use every block to get set up! But once settled, it was great!! Our site was O-107. This place is split into the newer, paved section and the older, unpaved section. We actually prefer the older section because the sites are more spacious. You are within walking distance of the south rim visitors center, but the shuttle systems is great and there is a stop at the entrance of the campground. The village itself has everything you need except gas. We enjoyed all the hikes with our two labs and could even take them to the lodge for a cocktail on the patio! Elk frequent the park, so be aware! We will definitely be back!

Yelp
Had a bit of a run around. I was told that the kiosks closes at 8pm, but it was closed at 6pm. Called the number again and was directed to go to Yavapai Lodge to check in. That area is really convenient, has a restaurant and grocery that has pretty much everything. Good location to get an early start on a lot of sight seeing areas. Oh no showers only restrooms.

Yelp
Imagine getting up early enough to have your morning cup of coffee in view of the sunrise over the Grand Canyon. That's how close the grounds are. Its so close to the canyon that you can walk there right from the comfort of your own bed/RV. It's a beautiful nature area with what looks to be newly paved paths. There are elk roaming in some areas so your pets are required to stay on leash. There are full RV hook ups and considering the location, the price is very reasonable. We stayed the week of Thanksgiving and it was perfect. It wasn't too cold and it wasn't congested with too many visitors. We would definitely stay here again.

Yelp
This campground is a very nice one located just inside the National Park that provides full hook-ups and easy access to the Grand Canyon and great scenery. The sites are decently sized and spaced. They are close, but not so close that you are on top of each other. The campground offers shuttles to the canyon as well as walking paths to the visitor areas and a local general store on the grounds. Our site had a tree nearby so that was a nice bonus to help with the heat. (It still gets toasty outside in July even at that high of an elevation.) A major perk was the wildlife that would wander about the campground. We saw entire families for Elk that just wandered around. It was beautiful, We did bring our dogs with us, and had a 5th person so there was an extra cost for these. The campground was a little on the pricier side, especially since it did not include admission to the park. (Expect to pay for a week pass or the America the Beautiful Pass.) There was also a tent only camping area that seemed really nice and was less expensive. All in all we were happy with the campground and would definitely consider staying again if we went back to the South Rim.

Yelp
There are some things to consider when you book here. Hook-ups are 15 amps OR 50 amps - no 30 amp receptacles. This doesn't need to be a dealbreaker, just be sure to bring a dogbone step-down adapter if you're in a Class C RV. Or you can borrow one from the ranger kiosk, but I prefer to work with equipment I can personally vouch for. The shuttle to all parts of Grand Canyon Village is free (every 15-20 minutes or so, limited seating during COVID so you might not get onto the first - or second - buses) and the RV park bus stop is right at the ranger kiosk. Be advised if you decide to walk instead, or if you need the wifi, the nearby Yavapai Lodge/grocery store is a half mile down the hill. Or if you choose to walk to the rim, it's a mile or so each way. The Village itself is a couple miles off...you'll easily rack up 5 miles or more every day not including any *actual* hikes, so consider what each of your family members is capable of when planning your trip. Paths are pretty smooth and you will share most of them with bicycles. We also found out the hard way that the sole laundry facility is over at Mather (tent) Campground and is only open until 1pm (last load allowed to start at 11:30am). At $72 per night, Yosemite is the only National Park RV campground that costs more. OK WITH ALL THAT IN MIND, the sites are clean gravel, quite level, and more spacious than we imagined, we even had trees to hang up our hammock. The vibe is relaxed and we were lucky to experience some real thunderstorms with lightning *you could hear cutting through the air,* earthshaking thunder and torrential rain - from the comfort of our RV - and the sun came back out just a few minutes later. The canyon is stunning, the hiking opportunities practically endless. Fossils, petroglyphs, indigenous artifacts, we even carved out time for an epic sunset while sitting on the rim with a glass of wine. With just a little planning and management-of-expectations, this is a quite good RV campground.

Yelp
Great spot inside of the Grand Canyon. The park is very clean with wild animals walking around. I don't know what they are elk, deer. I don't know. Lol. When you pull up to check in they have no marked rv parking to check in so everyone parks at check in booth but be warned the dude in the office is a rude (censored) with a bad attitude and a punchable face who looks like he hates puppies and is the owner of a road side motel down the hill from his house where his mother sits in the window. So pull forward up the road passed the turnaround no parking sign. If not he will snap and start yelling. "Who's blocking my shuttle!" giving everyone attitude. Great spot but bad customer service.

Bogey A.

Yelp
Pay the extra money and stay inside the Grand Canyon. Worth it. So convenient and no traffic in and out at the gate. The elk were so entertaining. Our kids loved it. Only downside was the showers being further away and closing super early but get over it, we're camping.

Yelp
Great Location, full hookups, Elk Neighbors Being inside the NP is nearly invaluable. Especially in the winter when you'd can drive to basically all of the viewpoints and hikes if your rig is <25ft. The grocery store, post office, and bank is walkable or a VERY quick drive. Yavapai Lodge Dining Hall is also normally open here. The bathrooms were clean The full hook-ups perfect The nearly morning or evening visitors of Elk were fun. They are regulars here! My biggest tip is that you can WALK via the Greenway Trail from RV village almost straight to Mather Point and the Visitor Center. It's about a 20 minute walk through the woods. Just walk straight west from Row F / Row P and you'll hit the trail which is open to hiking and biking. This is very nice if you're trying to do the shuttle and don't want to do a full loop to get back to the RV Village. Downsides: Mather Campground has a lot more shade. This basically had none. Big parking lot feel other than the Elk. I thought it was a no generator campgrounds but there was definitely a generator hum in the evening.

Yelp
Staying here is about the location -- in Grand Canyon National Park -- and that is about it. We didn't realize we were reserving a "classic" site, which means hookups, but no pavement, no cable, and no other amenities beyond a picnic table. The bathrooms are very basic and small and seem to be cleaned once per week. The shuttle bus for the park stops only at the campground entrance, so it can be quite a walk to the stop. And if you return in the dark, better have a flashlight to find your way back. It's hard to justify $70 per night for a "classic" site except for proximity to the Grand Canyon. Then again, a bag of ice is $6.50, so... We were going to stay for two nights and decided one was enough here. This was the least impressive campsite we have seen in our travels in Arizona and Utah. They did allow us to cancel and refund one night, so that was appreciated.
google avatar

Steve K.

Yelp
Yes, you will see Elk. This is a good campground for RVs. I was in a state of panic when I checked in and they had me at a 50 amp site when I specified a 30 Amp when I made reservations. I ran to their little office and they gave me an adapter, but I had no idea I needed to bring one in case this happened. Aside from that, it was a good place. You will need boards or whatever to raise your RV as the sites are not level. You will see Elk and Deer for sure! You can walk to the Grand Canyon from here, but it would take a while. We drove to the other parking lots and took buses out to various points. Expect a lot of walking! But it's worth it!

Yelp
Trailer Village is located within the Grand Canyon National Park for RV and motorhomes. It has really large sites with plenty of space between each other. We were very fortunate to have a site located near a green area with trees separating us from the other site. The main advantage of being there is that you are within the National Park and have easy access by shuttle or car to all areas of the Grand Canyon. Also, you are located very near a grocery store and a hotel for dining. The really unbelievable thing is that each late afternoon, the elk came through the park. It was an amazing site to see four female elk, a few younger elk, and the one extremely large buck come later. His rack was huge and his loud roar was astonishing calling his herd. What a thrill to watch and enjoy!!! It was so exciting!! Hopefully, my pictures will tell the story.

Yelp
If I Could give this A0I would. Pulled in and then struck it as to go back by lakeWe found the spotAnd I had a motorcycle in though in the back of the truck who whoever Saw us pull in Told one of their friends or some or some backwards person and they came to The spot we were in and asked if we had anything for sale anything for sale any motorcycles for sale there was only one exit and they were blocking it. We were told that the woman's sons would take what they wanted if they saw something they wanted. Not a very good area if you don't wanna lose anything. Very backwoods'ish. So us having California plates decided to get the h*** out of there.
google avatar

Melissa T.

Yelp
I'm grateful that we were refunded. Though, honestly, I was surprised. No one reached out or anything--- I just saw the credit on my credit card statement a month later. Updating the review from 1 star to 3 because I do appreciate that we were given the money back.

Yelp
Beautiful spot. It was fairly close to the rim of the Grand Canyon. We really had a good time there but we probably won't stay here again for one simple reason. We are people who work remotely and the way we are able to take regular RV trips is because we can work on the road and get out at least a day early for a three day weekend and monitor. I realize that many people are seeking to get away from it all and don't care about being plugged in but we are mid-career professionals and we don't have that luxury. Even in parks who do that lame thing where they offer you crappy WiFi with the option to pay more for faster speeds we can usually use our hot spots. Unfortunately, the cell service here was very bad and we were completely offline for the entire trip. We just can't do that so next time, and there will be a next time, we will stay at place that offers WiFi or in a place that has better cell coverage. Aside from this dealbreaker, we have nothing but good to say about this place so if you don't need to stay connected, go for it. The thing is that if you are an RV camper, that in and of itself indicates that you are hot into completely roughing it.
google avatar

K K.

Yelp
Small sites, expensive at $70 night but no decent amenities. We left a night early. We were in a classic site which means tiny, gravel sites. There are nicer sites but overall, we won't be back. Maybe if it was $25. night. On the positive side, all national parks employees are the friendliest and we do love that.
google avatar

Dave O.

Yelp
We stayed here 5 nights in early October (in the. Everything was great. Staff was super friendly, and the spaces were spacious. Bathrooms are dated but okay. We preferred to use our onboard shower. Shuttle service is fantastic. General store and Yavapai restaurant are a 10 minute walk.
google avatar

Tiffany L.

Yelp
Spent Christmas here with my family. We had a great time, even with the government shut down, everything ran pretty well. The site had full hooks ups and clean, warm bathrooms. We stayed 3 nights and it was cold! (We are from Hawaii) The stores and restaurant were very close and easy to get to with our RV. My kids very much enjoyed the Elk everywhere, they are very desensitized by humans taking selfies with them. Lol. Over all it was a great place to stay, and hopefully we make it back again!
google avatar

Renee S.

Yelp
Friendly staff! Hannah helped up decide which overlook to stop at for the sunset. The wildlife was abundant and we could ride our bicycles everywhere. It is a little pricier than we would normally spend, but we didn't leave the park, didn't have to spend $$ on gas, and we were in the middle of everything. Loved the experience this park offered us!

Derek K.

Yelp
This is a great spot if you're looking for an RV park inside of the Grand Canyon. Restrooms were fairly clean and campgrounds were fine, but it was the location that did it for us - just a minute drive to the Village and Visitor Center. Will 100% be back if we're RV'ing in the GC again!
google avatar

Danielle D.

Yelp
We stayed here for 2 nights at the end of July, the sites we're clean, large and it was so beautiful there. We saw deer just a couple stores away. The Grand Canyon is an amazing place and having this camp ground right in the middle of all the beauty is amazing! There were a few thunder and lighting storms that were quite impressive but they'd pass and everything would clear up. There is a market, post office, and sandwich shop within walking distance from camp ground. I can't wait to go back!!
google avatar

Armando M.

Yelp
This is a great place to stay at. We've stayed here once before and will be going a second time this upcoming Thanksgiving week. BUT...Just to add my $.02 about some of the one star reviews here. In looking at the pictures, it seems some people might be confusing Trailer Village RV (which is inside the National Park and next to Mather Campground) with the privately owned "Grand Canyon Camper Village" which is outside of the park and has nothing to do with the National Park Service.
google avatar

Don D.

Yelp
I really thought about why I am giving this a 5 star and here is the reasons why: - Full hook up - Bus stops near by to take you anywhere in the park -Clean - Village near by for food, groceries, and misc stuff - You might see a Elk running through the campsite(we did) and the most important.... The camp site is inside the Grand Canyon!!!! You can't beat that. I was going to book off site but thank god I didn't. If you are camping and want to see Grand Canyon, this is the place.
google avatar

Nathaniel S.

Yelp
Large RV Park not far from the main areas. The facility isn't well maintained and getting old, but all the necessary hookups are present (elec, water)

Rudd G.

Yelp
Don't have much choice on where to stay, this is it! It would have been a nice trip if our reservation for our 2nd site wasn't 'lost'. The girl at the check-in had the script down pat and kept repeating it over and over... "We don't handle reservations, you need to call Buffalo NY", "Reservations are not guaranteed", "Reservation numbers don't mean anything to me".. Over and over again.. "Yes, I see you paid for 2 spots, but I don't see that in my computer, call Buffalo NY". The person needs to be moved to some other position, trained, or fired. In stead of acknowledging the issue and trying to solve the problem, it was blame us, blame Buffalo NY, blame someone else over and over again. I'd suggest documenting your reservation, call NY, get the number to the check in counter at the GC and call them all, over and over again before your trip and verify your reservation isn't 'lost' before driving 9 hours.
google avatar

Jim S.

Yelp
I'm amazed that no other Yelper had added this RV park to the system as of this writing! If you're an RV'r and LOVE having your full hook-ups then this is the place for you when visiting the Grand Canyon. The location is superb becase it is actially IN the national park and only 1/2 mile from the rim. Once you get here you will not need your tow vehicle or towed vehicle at all. The park shuttles are excellent and there is a stop right in the campground to take you everywhere. The campsites are all pull-throughs and plenty big to accommodate just about anything you are rolling in. Our 28' trailer with slideouts had an abundance of room left to park our truck either in the front or rear of the campsite. Also, a typical campsite is roughly 30' wide from post to post so there is plenty of room to put out your awning and all that essential stuff you like to display in your patio. We saw several large busses that also had plenty of room. Just below and down hill from this camp is a super excellent general store with everything. Groceries, camping gear, clothes, and of course all the souvenirs you could imagine. There are also 10 pound bags of ice sold right in the campground for $4 which was very convenient. If you are looking for a base camp for your RV while visiting the south rim there is nothing better. Not an opinion, a fact. Let me also qualify this by saying if you're one of those purist camping snobs who needs to feel isolated in the woods to feel content, then maybe this is not for you. However, if you are happy with the typical RV parks where everybody is lined up, then this could be for you. It's a great base camp to launch your explorations from, and everything is close by. Also, don't confuse this location with a place called "Camper Village" which is just outside the park entrance in Tusayan about 7 miles away. I would only consider Camper Village as a fall back if this place was booked and you really want full hookups for your rig. Enjoy your trip and this excellent RV park. We did !
google avatar

Janet G.

Yelp
I will add another 5 star review. The location is everything. One mile from the south rim.
google avatar

Charles P.

Yelp
This place is awesome. Just a 10 minute walk to be rim view or the market. They have a free bus into town and sincerest food options within walking distance. I have hiked 3 miles everyday of this 5 day stay. I would say that they need to have a few more groups of showers.
google avatar

Tara H.

Yelp
It was so wonderful to be at the Grand Canyon. We booked three night stay, was given our printed paperwork stating our 3 night stay and filled it with fun. After hiking on the second day and returned to eat lunch, we were told that although our paperwork stated our three night reservation their computer stated we only had two days and needed to leave. Our spot was sold to someone else and since the park has very limited cell service, we had to pack and drive out of park to find a place in Flagstaff. The park did offer to move us to a spot with no electricity or water in the back, but since we had to hook up and move to the end of the park- we just left. Nothing like leaving early with my daughter crying. Horrific service beautiful scenery.
google avatar

Bill J.

Yelp
This campground is fairly decent and somewhat expensive. But it has location and about everything you need. The sites are good sized with 50AMP/30AMP full hookups along with cable TV. They want you to only put out your sewer hose to dump, since the birds will peck holes in the hose. Elk roam the campground and leave droppings everywhere. The campground is on the shuttle route and you can also walk or ride your bike everywhere. The visitors center is about 1/2 mile away by path. The Rim is just a bit further. The market area, with groceries and more, is about a 1/4 mile. No wifi in the park, but you can go to the Camping Center for that. Verizon barely works here and can be flaky and AT&T does not work. Verizon is strong in the Village area. The campground is often full, so reserve early. If you are under 30' and do not need hookups, there are two other campgrounds in South Rim part of the park, Mather is next door and there is one in Desert View, about 20 miles East.
google avatar

Courtney G.

Yelp
We only stayed for a night but we had a nice stay! I love that there is a shuttle bus right at the campsite! They have a whole shuttle system that takes you around the canyon to different locations. Not far down the road is a nice market, gift shop and post office too. Staff that we met was very friendly too. And not 5 minutes after arriving we were met with a couple elk, super fun!

Kelly K.

Yelp
Stayed in October for a week and it was freezing. This only gets 2 stars because of the Canyon. All sites are NOT level left to right (driver to passenger side). First we were put in H51 which is a hill! I tried leveling our 35 foot motorhome and I had 3 tires way off the ground. Only the front passenger tire was on the ground and that jack didn't even come down. It was the most precarious position. They should NEVER park a motorhome that size in that spot! I asked the gentleman at the front desk if it was possible to move. The park was full but thankfully he moved things around and got us into A1. Still slightly sloped left to right but much, much better and so we stayed there. Check-in is busy and it's not clear at all where you should park to check-in. The sign says to stop and register there but when you do that, the staff quickly comes out to say your blocking the entrance and makes you feel like you did something wrong. He sent us off to our site and told me to come back to register. For such a popular, established park... you would think they'd have a better system in place. The unlevel site was paved but I see that only the left half of the park is like that. The other site is dirt/gravel and looks just as unlevel. They have a cable TV hook-up and their website says in the FAQ that they have cable TV but they do not. (Of course, we're not there for that.. just saying... they shouldn't say they have it if they don't.) Verizon was very spotty but often worked. We found that using our Verizon hotspot worked better than just the network on the phone. No fenced dog park. Easy access to the Canyon. Shuttle stop right at the front of the park. Elk and deer grazing through the campground.

Yelp
First off, if you want to take your trailer to the Grand Canyon, make your reservations EARLY and stay here. This is the only place to get full hook-ups in the Grand Canyon. You can stay outside the park in Tusayan, but you have to ride the shuttle in and out every time you want to go to your trailer. Believe me, you do NOT want to drive in and out everytime in your car, the line at the entrance can be HUGE. So once your in the park, you get to stay at this nice Trailer Park. Sites are level for the most part. I did have to jack up one side. All of the sites are paved where your trailer sits and Grand Canyon dirt and gravel everywhere else. Full Hook ups, including cable. They tell you to not keep your sewer hose out because the birds will peck holes in it, so we only dumped the gray water once a day then put the hose back. Some folks did leave there hose out, but I did not hear or see anyone having problems. There is wildlife everywhere. The deer and elk came through our campsite a couple of times. They are very adept to the visitors and do their thing, so don't bother them. It is a very easy walk or even easier bike ride to the village store. They also have a pretty good shuttle system that is free and takes you anywhere in the park, but it does get crowded. Overall, a great way to go if you are camping in the Grand Canyon.
google avatar

Catherine E.

Yelp
We "camped" in our 30' trailer for 2 days on the 1st of 2017. It was cold and windy and even had some snow. We loved it as it is off season and not too many there, at least compared to warmer weather. A great location to get around the park. They have a shuttle, we did not need and everything is close by. And not to mention the awe factor of seeing this magnificent canyon with snow. Nice wide spaces, easy in and out. Will be back again.
google avatar

john j.

Yelp
Had big hopes for this place. Pro's are that its close to eateries and restaurants. Con, I must have gotten the smallest space the park had. I had literally less than 2 feet between my trailer and my neighbour on one side and 10 feet between me and my other neighbour. I have pics if someone doesn't believe me. We paid for 2 nights but packed up and left after one. Oh, Yeah, no refunds. So be warned, I can't speak for all the camp sites, but if you get spot 119, you'll be sorry.
google avatar

Kim H.

Yelp
Ok, I'm not sure what some of these other reviewers are taking about?? We stayed at Trailer Village over the 4th of July, 2015 and found it to be great. As far as National Park campgrounds go they had lots of nice biking trails and lots of open space (enough that people were playing baseball with no danger of hitting RV's with batted balls). Each spot had a picnic table and a charcoal BBQ that they came and cleaned every morning for us. The spots were big, not gigantic but definitely not crowded at all. Each spot had an asphalt parking pad but the rest of it was dirt/sand....ours had animal scat (probably Elk) all over the place, which my kids loved, they kept hoping that one morning we would wake up and see a bunch of them right outside but I guess we scared them off. All in all, Trailer Village is a great location, the Village Market was very close by, we never took the bus choosing instead to ride our bikes to the store. We also rode bikes to the Hermit's Rest Route Shuttle instead of taking the Blue Bus, if you bring your bike (which I would recommend) the trail system is a fun and very safe way to get around, plus it saves you from riding on the crowded shuttles. All in all, we really enjoyed our time at Trailer Village and would plan to stay there again.

Yelp
It's a parking lot with full hook-ups, nothing special. On the other hand, you can't beat the price! It's close to the rim shuttle and about a mile walk to the rim trail. The path from the trailer village to the rim is paved and scenic (i.e. wooded) but I wouldn't feel comfortable walking it in the dark. To maximize your time at the rim, I would take the shuttle to the visitors center and walk from there along the rim trail. One other plus for this campground, it's a short walk from a full grocery store! We didn't see that coming at all. The Grand Canyon is something everyone should see and this is a great way to do it. I'd stay there again for sure.

Yelp
Trailer Village is the only full hookup RV park in Grand Canyon. Like everything at Grand Canyon it's not always easy to book a space. Fortunately they have a website where you can check available days and there's always cancellations. You need to act quickly when dates open in the popular months. The spaces are level. Beware the deer and the elk like to visit. There are clean bathrooms with ancient hand dryers. The only showers are located at Mather Campground and they are coin operated. A laundry mat is available in Market Plaza, a short drive from the park. Grand Canyon Village Market is in the same location. It's a nice walk or a short drive. The Blue Line buses have a stop at the campground entrance. The Blue Line will take you to the South Rim historic buildings and the Visitor Center. The RV Park is close to Shrine of the Ages and Pioneer Cemetery. There are nightly ranger programs at Shrine of the Ages. We enjoy walking from the park to Park Headquarters where we connect to the Rim Walk and we walk into the village. You have beautiful views of the Canyon along the way. If you have an RV and book a space you can stay in the Canyon for less than $60 a night. Delaware North is the current concessionaire and the rates keep increasing. Grand Canyon is my happy place and it's a bonus when you get to spend each night in your own bed.

Yelp
Great location for exploring the park. We biked the west half of the rim, did a hike to Skeleton Point, and used the car only once to drive out to Desert View; my kind of location! Only downside is there are no showers on site; they are at Mather Campground. We did not use them so cannot comment. Sites are close together, however; shaded, clean, well maintained, friendly staff. Park fills up but there are cancellations so keep checking the website and/or call. We stayed in a 40ft motor home in mid May. Don't be surprised if an elk grazes at your campsite!

Yelp
Came in the dead of winter. Temperatures were below freezing most of the time. Water pipe frozen when we first arrived at around 5:30pm in the evening. No one was available to help with that. We just turned on the spigot and eventually got water. Left it on a slow drip the entirety of the trip whether we had the hose hooked up or not. They did offer free shower tokens to use over at camper services in case we couldn't get water but we managed to figure things out and didn't need them. Water was also available at camper services if we needed to fill our fresh water tank. Site pad was paved but not plowed so was a little icy in places. Spacious sites, charcoal grills ok. Roads around campsite were plowed. Loved the proximity to the rim and Market Plaza. The blue bus route to the visitor center and village runs year round and there is a stop just inside the RV park. Very convenient if you don't feel like driving. Red bus route does not run in winter so you would need your own vehicle to be able to see all areas of the park. We enjoyed our stay. $60 a night.

Yelp
I have read a lot of the reviews posted here and have to agree with all of them, with one exception. My husband and I, along with our closest friends, booked 4 sites seven months prior to our stay. They couldn't give us a confirmation no. on the phone and said the automated system would send one. We weren't getting anything, my husband kept calling every 3-5 weeks just to reconfirm and request a confirmation no. Got the same excuse but were told you are in our system for 4 sites in Mar.-Apr. So, we knew the cancellation policy and called 51 days prior to our res. to cancel a site because a couple couldn't make it. When he called to cancel a site, they told him we only have you for 2 sites, and wouldn't you know, they gave him a confirmation no. over the phone. Gee, go figure. We had a 12.5 hour drive ahead of us, and we are just finding this out. If we didn't have the most wonderful friends whom let us use their small camper and they bunked up with the other group, we would have been scr**ed! It was the first trip to the Canyon for all of us. If it wasn't for them, we would not have been able to go since everything is booked 7 months to a year ahead of time. When we got there, there had been a water main break and they had flushing toilets but not faucets to use. We made due, we understood but.....looking around over the week, there were at least 10-12 available spots in the campground, unused. I think because of the water main break they suddenly lost some reservations, but the least you can do is let people know and keep them updated. Overall, the Grand Canyon is unbelievably amazing and beautiful and all the surrounding areas. I was very pleased that they had the shuttle system, awesome. Just remember, if you book here, get a confirmation no. over the phone. Insist on it! Enjoy!

Yelp
We had a great time at the Grand Canyon. We pulled into Trailer Village (in the park) without reservations. The sign said "FULL". We went inside and inquired anyway and we got a great spot for 2 nights. We hooked up to water, sewer and electricity and caught the convenient park shuttle and managed to take in all the sights along the south rim. We went for a road bike ride the next morning and it was really excellent. No complaints. The Grand Canyon was good to us!

Yelp
This park is pretty basic, full hookups and bathrooms with flush toilets and sinks (showers are nearby at Mather). Upon check in, we were advised not to leave our sewer hose out because the ravens peck holes in them - a first for us. Very little shade, our site had zero shade and it was hot. A plus is the sites are staggered diagonally so we weren't right next to our neighbors like in other parks. On one side the neighbor was behind our trailer and on the other side our neighbor was in front. We were one of only two sites to put out any decor, different than what we're used to. Park is on the blue bus route which is very convenient and park is walking distance to Market Plaza of which we enjoyed the general store/deli. The best part of Trailer Village was the elk - we saw many in and near the park. Such peaceful, beautiful creatures added ambiance to an otherwise basic park.

Yelp
We were looking for an RV park with full hookups and came upon this place. It's poorly run and the staff have rude and bad attitudes. The lady at the check-in told me the owners were not fixing anything because the campground was going to be tore down and some kind of redevelopment was going to happen. In a pinch, this place will work but have no expectations of the staff or quality of the campground.

Yelp
We stayed in site 101 in Trailer Village. Our bathrooms had been replaced with 4 old, rarely cleaned Porta-a-potties. My wife refused to use them they were so gross.

Yelp
Really enjoyed our stay here, only wish it had been longer. The sites can be a bit tight for a big rig so use caution. Also, if you find my pressure regulator can you send it my way :)

Yelp
Nice clean centrally located RV park with full hookups. The spaces are adequate but the surrounds are wonderful. Right in the middle of everything with bike trails and a bus stop right from the entrance. We are definitely coming back. Saw elk walking through the campground every day.

Yelp
It was nice. Pretty much a parking lot for RVs but with gorgeous views so close why would you need much more? Showers would have made it 5 stars. The bathrooms do have heaters in them though which is a plus for late night visits.
