I visit this hotel a few times a year. Perfect little getaway. Great prices clean rooms.. especially the suites are so roomy. Lots of different pools and very close to the beach. Javier was alot of help! Will definitely keep returning

Positive: The hotel was conveniently located near dining, and the beach, but just far enough off of it to get a quiet night's sleep. Loved that I could walk to the Ft. Lauderdale Beach Blvd and walk along the beach on the sidewalk there. Negative: Would like to have had more accessible outlets for charging. Also, I may have left my beats fit pro earbuds, but that was my fault, not theirs. I loved it and would stay again.

Nicholas at the front desk was extremely helpful and hospitable. He is such an asset to this hotel. The rooms we rented were very clean and spacious. Some of the electric outlets didn't work. But, the shower pressure and shower head was fabulous. We live local and opted for a "Stay cation " We would definitely stay here again.

Exceptional Service at Tranquilo Resort Our experience at Tranquilo Resort in Fort Lauderdale was outstanding. The entire staff was amazing, but Alvaro truly went above and beyond— past check-in time, Alvaro personally woke up and came to assist us. His warm welcome, calm demeanor, and willingness to go above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect left a lasting impression. It’s rare to experience that level of dedication and care, and it made us feel not just accommodated, but genuinely valued.

I checked in early Friday afternoon, May 2, 2025. The young guy behind the desk was super friendly. He told me about the property and let me in before check-in time.|I believe he was hispanic.|Another guy was there Saturday and was very friendly. |My room was across the street in the 2nd building on the first floor. It was very convenient to go back and forth since there were 3 pools available. The pool in the back stayed busy but was a larger, newer pool. The other 2 were smaller but more private. I enjoyed all three!|My room was a king bed with a very clean bathroom. I slept well in the room.|The Village area where this hotel is located has several shops, markets, wine bars and cafes, restaurants.|I felt very safe.|I was just 2 blocks from the ocean.|Do yourself a favor and stay here at the Tranquilo!!!

Yelp
Worst "hotel" I've ever stayed in. I booked one night through HotelTonight because of the location. Tranquilo should be listed as a hostel and not for $160 per night! Total waste of money. The floor and bed were not clean. 2 paper thin sheets on the bed. Shower wouldn't get warm. Shower water didn't run clear. Walls and tile grout full of mold. Room smelled of mildew. None of the outlets worked except for the one that the AC was plugged into. I had to use that for my phone so I could not use AC. No water provided or available for purchase. Not secure. Didn't feel safe. Lots of druggies hanging out on the balconies. Guests partying so loud all night in pool. No staff present to shut it down. I couldn't sleep at all. Already being so fed up since check in, it was the last straw and I left at 3am after feeling a cockroach crawl on me in bed! Yuck! This place is a dump!

Yelp
BEWARE and BE CAREFUL! Our room was broken into and our belongings were stolen! We called the police and the hotel showed them a video of the thief breaking in and leaving through the front door. The hotel cooperated with the police then offered us a refund and another room. Regardless, this is NOT a safe place to stay.

Yelp
Musty and funky. You're probably considering this place because the location is excellent and the prices are reasonable. We got the impression that management takes a very lax approach to maintenance and cleanliness. The odor of mildew coming from the air conditioning units is noticeable and hard to ignore. The leaking ceiling that dribbled water on my clothing was especially unpleasant. Our room had plastic patio furniture and numerous "mystery stains", and while the front desk staff did their best to make things right, it was clear that upkeep is a low priority at this establishment.

Yelp
Great location. Amazing price. Friendly helpful service. No frills. Clean. Modern. And in quiet neighborhood. Located about a 10 minute walk north of the rowdy las olas boulevard beach. This hotel was perfect for my 3 night stay in fort lauderdale. The location is super safe and quiet. Lots of locals and tourists all over with mainly visitors of the state of florida in this area. I felt very safe with my son at all times of the day and night. My suite was extremely large, modern and exceptionally clean. It had a large sitting area, fully equipped kitchen, A full bathroom with seperated closet and a king size bed. 2 large big screen tvs and 2 air conditioners for the large room. A coffee maker was a big plus for me. Housekeeping replenished and cleaned everything remarkably every day during my visit. There is a market with small items and easy to prepare meals just a 2 minute walk south of the hotel. The beach is 2 blocks away. In a nice location for the sun trolley or public bus 40 or 11. Water taxi is also a short 10 minute walk. A great stay and the locals stay here, so its very practical if you dont need room service, valet or any of those unneccessary fluff. I had no issues with hot water or the locks. My room key was a key card not a key. On the same block as the bonnet house and hugh state park!

Yelp
Literally couldn't have been better. I was originally looking for just a cheap stay but I felt like I got a steal! Walking distance to the beautiful Fort Lauderdale beach... also the cutest community. Walking right outside I could go a few blocks and get anything my heart desired. Will be back!!! Also, love the new guest service manager... really made me feel welcomed and recommended a great restaurant close by.

Yelp
I have nothing but amazing things to say about this place! I was a little nervous after reading the yelp reviews but my friend and I had such a great experience! The staff was very friendly, the area is great and our room was clean and had all the necessities! If I ever come back to Fort Lauderdale I will be staying here!

Yelp
I stayed in the hotel March 24-28 with my 2 grown kids. I had a separate king room but it was in a different building than theirs. I was ok with that until I walked into my room. It reaked of mold and mildew. It was so strong it was hard to breathe. It was late and the office was closed so I had to wait until the morning to complain. When I did, the girl at the front desk told me they didn't have any other rooms because it was spring break. She was going to see what she could find in their group of hotels. When I went back to check, she had magically found a room for me 2 doors down from the office. When I checked it out it smelled as bad as the first room. I told her I couldn't sleep in that room either. So she did find a room in another hotel of theirs a couple blocks away-North Beach Hotel. Having seen 2 of their hotels, I won't ever stay in that hotel group again. The rooms were dirty. Their 'modern flair' was nothing more than cheap Ikea furniture. I set something on the cube on the wall next to the bed and it fell off the wall. Half of the electrical outlets didn't work. It felt like all the electrical was rigged to barely work. It made me wonder if it was even up to codes. There is no rhyme or reason to their housekeeping. They sometimes showed up at 4pm and sometimes didn't show up at all. They took all the towels from the room and didn't replace them and they didn't clean the room. There were only 2 sheets on the bed and no blanket. My kid's room in Tranquilo was the same. The vibe there is one of a pay by the week hotel where people live. There were several rooms that looked like they had 8 people staying in them. It didn't feel very safe. The pools and grounds of both hotels were dirty and in disrepair. There are so many things rigged outside that could cause accidents. This place is a lawsuit ready to happen. The only good thing I can really say about it is that it is just a couple blocks from the beach. The pics on the website are definitely deceiving. I was embarrassed to take my family there. It was a lot less expensive than the major chain hotels, but still for $250/night it should be decent and clean.

Yelp
I can't even give this a rating because I never got to check into my room. I had to wait outside by the hot pool for hours after doing the half marathon. I even have an email that paid for earlier check in at 11 so I could go relax and shower after the race. When I got there the guy was like we can't do that. He told me to hang tight til 3 for my room to be ready. I was patient I went and grabbed brunch exhausted and sweaty. I came back at 3:50pm they said give us another 45 min I went to pool area to wait I was exhausted and hot I passed out at pool I woke up at 4:30ish went back to desk see another couple get their room key. My room still needed another half hour. I was like no I have plans I need to shower and get ready. They were like we're sorry we can't do anything about that. I said give me my refund you ruined my night they said ok. I have no confirmation for a refund when I just called the girl was rude and said don't worry you'll get your credit. There was no accountability taken. No hospitality what so ever. This ruined my plans and the whole reason I got the room. The employees don't look like they are passed the age of 21. They could care less that you are spending your money there. I still also had to pay $10 to park on their site. From the looks of the outside of property it is very run down the pictures on website look nothing like how actually dirty the property looks.

Yelp
My husband and I stayed at Tranquilo for 5 days and 4 nights over Memorial Day weekend. The hotel does not look like the pictures. The floor was cracked and very dirty. The shower was also very dirty. We asked to extend our check out until 12:00 instead of 11:00 and was told no. Even though, no one else was staying in our room after we left. Phillipia (front desk worker) was very rude and needs to take a course in customer service. I asked for new towels and she did not provide them. I needed to call reservations to get my towels. My husband and I had a great time at the beach, but not at this hotel. It is definitely worth paying more money staying at a different resort. We will never stay here again.

Yelp
The staff was very nice and most efficient in helping us spend our one night before cursing. The king suite was very spacious and clean with a huge king bed, large leather sofa, flat screen tv and a well-equipped kitchen. The photo's on the website, don't do the property justice they are much nicer then that pictures. I was impressed with the clean white well maintained suite. There is wi-fi, but we didn't stay long enough to take advantage of it nor the really nice pretty pools in the courtyards. I did like the fact that the grounds are all gated, made me feel more safe in the area. There are lots of bars and restaurants along the Fort Lauderdale beach. We chose to visit their recommended restaurant, The Village Cafe which is now a Bistro. It was one of the most enjoyable dinners I have had in a long time, well worth the visit. It is a block away and we must have looked a little confused leaving the hotel, that one of the staff, drove by to let us know we were in the right place, it was very help and kind. One thing I would recommend is to rent a car there is so much to do around Fort Lauderdale, traveling by taxi or shuttle can get expensive. This is a great place to stay, high recommend. A very big thank you to the wonderful staff.

Yelp
This place is actually so awful. When we went to go check in, nobody was in the office, we called both numbers for the property & the one posted on the office door. A lady from the property told us that she would send somebody over we waited outside the office for about 45 minutes. That was the first & only time a single soul answered that line. The guy working at the front finally came & gave us the keys to our dirty hotel room, beds were unmade, it smelled like cigarettes so we went back and he gave us another room, he kept saying he was going to "make it right" offering a refund, when we went to go check out Olivia told us that we need to contact the property manager & discuss the refund with them. The problem with that is, nobody answers the phone. Regarding the rooms, they look nothing like the pictures, the only thing that tied the rooms together besides the grease marks on the full body mirror & peeling leather head boards was a singular painting on the wall. The shower doesn't close so when you shower it falls out into the tile, you may as well just start throwing water into the smack middle of the bathroom because it'll inevitably get soaked anyways. Also While you're on the bathroom floor from almost slipping and falling to death make sure you have a rag in hand so you can clean the mildew/ mold out of the shower. It's been about 2 weeks since we've stayed here and we have called countless times and emailed a couple but nobody has answered. If I could rate this place any lower I would, if you want to sleep, shower, and exist in actual filth I would recommend this place to you! :)

Yelp
I made an impromptu trip to Ft. Lauderdale on Saturday and I booked a room via Hotel Tonight, I arrived at Tranquilo and Jackie could not find my reservation. After some calls, and a lot of waiting on hold, with my credit card company, they informed me they thought my card was compromised (3rd time this month) and declined the purchase through Hotel Tonight. Jackie at the desk was awesome!! She honored the price on Hotel Tonight and ran my cc with no problem. Thanks to Jackie I was able to enjoy my stay. My room was very nice! The room had very modern decor, a nice kitchenette and living room. The separate bedroom had a very comfortable king size bed and nice TV. And the bathroom and shower were also very nice! The room was extremely clean and very comfortable! I definitely will return to Tranquilo when I visit Ft. Lauderdale.

Kellie M.

Yelp
This hotel was not completely awful, but you need to know what you are getting yourself into. PROS: The bed was clean. The staff was nice and had someone available to help up when we checked in after midnight. The location couldn't have been better. CONS: Our King Suite was not like the ones in any of the pictures. The floor was cracked and dirty in places and there were no rugs on the cold, old tile floors. The bathroom was smaller than all of the photos and did not have the nicer features that the other photos have. There were holes where fixtures had been that had been removed and the sink was tiny and old. No late checkout available. This place reminded me of a no-frills hotel in South America. We were in building one and I am not sure if that building just hasn't been updated and others have? We had another friend staying in the same building as ours and her room was dirty and had hair all over the bathroom. For the price, in another area, I would have expected a lot better. I guess for $189 per night in Ft Lauderdale in March, that is what you get. If we are ever in the area again, we will just pay the $300+ per night and stay at a nicer hotel - it would have been worth it for us.

Mary L.

Yelp
It was a good location price was ok. It does not look like the pictures. It's a bit of a dump. Only sheets on the bed. To rugs sparse very sparse. The bathroom was ok.

Rob P.

Yelp
Got an amazing deal on a one bedroom apartment with a queen bed in the bedroom and a king bed in the living room. Not sure why they weren't the other way around, but it worked for our needs. The place was HUGE and we slept 4 people comfortably in the entire place. Walking distance from the beach, which we unfortunately didn't have time to fully enjoy. We had to pay $10 for parking, and strangely, $20 for a second car. Wish we had more time to enjoy the room as we had a full kitchen we barely touched. Ricardo at the front desk was very helpful.

Yelp
Starting off this review by stating I would give 0 stars if that were an option. Reserved this hotel for my two daughters and I to meet up with my wife and two other children staying at the Atlantic Hotel in Fort Lauderdale. I anticipated the spring break crowd with the week I booked, however immediately upon arrival i realized this hotel was not like the pictures I saw online. There were various issues with this hotel including the broken lock on our front door, mold within the showers, flies & mosquitoes within our hotel room & unkempt pool, etc. Immediately after dinner I booked another hotel. I reported to the front desk where I was locked out & greeted with a phone #. I spoke to Danny & told him that my 12 year old daughter felt unsafe and uncomfortable here but was told "I'm sorry but you still need to pay to pay tonights fee". Overall would not recommend this hotel. Very unaccommodating & unwelcoming to families.

Josie B.

Yelp
We were so skeptical based on the reviews left recently, but we had a group of 8, sharing 2 double queen suites and it was amazing!!!!! We did not experience the same place as the rest of these reviews. We really wanted to leave a good review because the staff was super nice and attentive, the facility was clean, even offered laundry services. The beds were comfy, the kitchenettes were stocked with dishes along with a sponge and dish soap to use while you stay. this place was great and we want to come back next year!! Very affordable for a group of 8 to go for 6 nights.

Timothy B.

Yelp
Clean & Easy!!! We stayed at the hotel for 1 night. Checked in at 9PM. Service was good and the rooms were clean. We were aloud a 12PM at no extra cost, which was great. The front desk agent advised us that there was free coffee in the morning, but we never got round to it. Thanks

Ivelisse A.

Yelp
Smells like mole Bed feels like your sinking in wet sheets Shower water was cold. No breakfast You have to pay $10 for parking Not worth the price. I could have found better with breakfast and parking included Only benefits is that the pool is right in front of your room and you can BBQ

Tim W.

Yelp
This hotel is part of the 'North Beach Village Resort' hotel collection. We had reservations at their sister hotel, Beach Gardens, but they were overbooked for the room we reserved so we were moved to this hotel which was around the corner. The hotel is located on two corners of the street. One side has 2 pools and the other side has 1 pool. The hotel has been remodeled to a cool mid century modern style. Our room was large with a kitchen, living room, bedroom and bathroom. Everything appeared very clean except for a long black hair on the sheets and a long black hair on one of the bath towels (downgrade one star! yuck). The location was great with the beach only 2 blocks away, as well as many restaurants, bars and shops nearby. The WiFi was horrible. VERY slow and frustrating! Free parking. I would recommend checking out the North Beach Village Resort hotels. There are many to choose from. Some more family friendly than others.

Ashley M.

Yelp
Worst hotel I've ever been to. I know that's a very bold statement but I'd be lying if I said there was anything remotely good about it. I stayed here for a week over spring break and let's just say I was very glad to be leaving. Buckle up for this hotel horror story. Where do I even start? PROS: I guess I'll start off on a positive note- great location with lots of restaurants and bars. Close to the beach, it was only like a five minute walk. They also provided "free rides" around Fort Lauderdale (you had to tip) which was very convenient and the driving service was fantastic. CONS: 1. Room Quality- We stayed in a single room with two queen beds. The room was so small we had to push the two beds together because the bed was pressed up against the door when we arrived. Most of the time we had to walk over top of the beds just to get around the room which resulted in sandy, dirty sheets, gross. The beds also didn't have blankets on them. We were provided with a fitted sheet and one single sheet. My friends and I would wake up almost every night shivering because one single sheet is definitely not enough to keep anyone warm. I called the front desk multiple times asking for blankets but sadly, we never got any. I resorted to using a beach towel as a blanket most nights. 2. Housekeeping Service- As I said before, because the room was so tiny we had to keep walking over the beds and they got really gross really fast. Our beds were never made and the sheets were never changed. Our towels were also really dirty and wet so we left them on the floor hoping for new ones, but surprise, those never got replaced either. After calling multiple times we finally got someone to come in and give us fresh sheets and towels. I was actually there when she came in to replace everything so I helped her strip the sheets and gather up the towels. I asked her to remake the beds for us but she refused and just left everything in a big pile. I feel like if I'm paying $400+ a night getting my bed made for me is not too much to ask. And the final cherry on top- our toilet paper ran out and never got replaced so we had to use tissues to wipe more times than not. 3. Staff- The one encounter I had with the staff in the lobby was incredibly disappointing. The complimentary shampoo and conditioner in our room was never restocked so I went to the lobby and asked for more. The lady at the front desk was quick to shut me down telling me they didn't have any. After going back and forth for a bit, she rolled her eyes at me, walked away, and came back with like 15 bottles that she threw down on the counter in front of me. I couldn't even believe the disrespect I got after asking for something that they obviously had. 4. Scary Neighbors- DISCLAIMER: I am aware that the kind of people staying at this motel is mostly up to chance and has nothing to do with the hotel itself but this review wouldn't be complete without mentioning this. I'm just going to flat out say it- the people staying in the room two doors down from us were actual crackheads. They were lighting up crack cocaine in their room (which smelled terrible) and drug dealers were coming in and out of the room all night. I don't mean any offense to anyone in saying this (addiction is a disease that shouldn't be taken lightly) but it was a very scary and sketchy situation. I felt unsafe in my own room. 5. The OUTLETS- NONE OF THE PLUGS IN THE ROOM WORKED!!! We were LUCKY if we could get our phones to charge. There was one point where ALL of our phones were dead because we couldn't get the outlets to work if our lives depended on it. What is the point in providing wifi if all your devices are dead??? Overall, this hotel was incredibly disappointing and I can't say that I would recommend it to anyone. I actually spent a lot of time deciding if I was going to write this review or not because it's pretty harsh but I want people to know what they're getting themselves into. Good luck.

Timi A.

Yelp
Stay away from this trash place. Moths all over my room. Extremely terrible service. charged me extra for parking when there was no parking available close to my room

James C.

Yelp
Nicola and all the staff were super helpful, happy and accommodating. The place was clean and the price was great!

Ron Z.

Yelp
We have stayed at this hotel and several of there other places in Fort Lauderdale. Place is very nice we had a large branch fall on the hood of my truck the branch broke off a large piece of the building just missing the front of my truck. The branch hit the hood and front fender doing about $3900 damage to my truck. They had the nerve to offer me $1500. If I don't hear back from them that they are paying the repair bill they have lost our business.

B B.

Yelp
To start with, we were given the wrong room and someone else was given ours. After a long flight from the west coast we were tired and wanted a bath so I was not a happy camper. When I went back to desk I was told the room I was given was the room I rented. Wrong. I got a bed and sofa bed but was given a single bed instead. After being told there were no rooms left and there was nothing they could do, a couple called and said they had been given a wrong room because there was someone's stuff in it. It was my things I had set down on the floor to walk all the way back to the desk to get my room straight. Thankfully the people who got a copy of the room key where our stuff was (it was actually their room) thankfully were honest otherwise all our electronic and valuables would of been taken. So after they called the desk it was determined they had keys to the room that was theirs but we were given a copy as well. Our room was sitting empty. After that mix up was settled (40 mins) we got into the right room but found the sofa bed was just a couch that does not make a bed. And all you are given to sleep on is sheets. No blankets. Sheets. After how many people sat on that sofa I'm sleeping on it with a thin sheet. Yuck. Not a good night sleep for sure. The room smelt like mildew and the place wasn't clean at all. We found hair all in the shower, the floor was dirty as our feet were black after walking barefoot on it, no toiletries, towels were threadbare and had large holes in them. We went to dollar tree and bought cleaning supplies to wipe stuff down. Housekeeping was a joke. The wipes were black after I cleaned the couch (my bed) and chairs. I've stayed in hotels in a lot of places but for 350.00 for 2 nights this was the worst ever. I'd never stay here again and would recommend you look elsewhere for accommodations. I'm a Florida resident of 50 years btw.....

Yelp
Large, modern rooms. Hotel is just like Dexter's house. Close to the beach. Make sure that they don't put you in an "adjoining" room or you will be woken up even when they open their ironing board. Yes, the walls are that thin. But if you get a nice room you can even keep your curtains open which might overlook beautiful Soflo foliage. Huge kitchen, fairly clean but re-wash all of your dishes as that is the area that lacks. They seem to only "spot" clean every two days, and I never saw them with a mop or vacuum. This was annoying although it was very clean upon our arrival. Also, if you are Canadian they have no phones in the rooms so make sure you can use yours here. Wireless useless on iPhone but ok on iPad and hey, at least it's included which is not the case with any major hotel here. Pool is small but good enough and fairly private, especially if you are lucky to be sitting out before any smokers arrive. Front end staff and hotel maids are friendly and accommodating enough, too. When I requested extra bedding they wouldn't even accept a tip. How is that for service? Sure, it's a few blocks from the beach, but it's obviously a best kept secret for hotels (ftr, really?) and I would def. stay here again!

Paul M.

Yelp
Tranquilo is a great boutique hotel located just steps away from Fort Lauderdale Beach. We ended up staying here for one night since we were at a late-night party at the Westin closeby. The rooms here are HUGE! It was more like an studio apartment rather than a hotel room. We had 2 queen beds, kitchen, & living room in our room and it was still very spacious. The interiors are clean and modern. The front desk girl said the owner is Swedish and uses Ikea to so decorate often. The architecture is MIMO period but the property is well kept. There are also several pools on the property. It was a little cold for us Floridians to go in, but there were plenty of tourists taking advantage. The customer service was also great as the Front Desk girl spoke several languages which came in handy considering we saw tourists from Brazil and Europe staying here. You also cannot beat the location as this place is walking distance from the beach and several bars/restaurants. They also have free wi-fi and free parking. Overall this is a great place for stay-cation or vacation. The price beats many hotels in the area but you are pretty much getting your own studio apartment instead of a standard hotel room.

Allison N.

Yelp
I'm glad I found this, but it isn't perfect. I love that it's very clean, with lots of pools and near the ocean. The down side is a lack of daily cleaning. I was given clean towels, but not given daily cleaning. Also, they are unable to give a late check out. I'm not sure that I would recommend this to anyone.

Alyssa C.

Yelp
I did like this place, has 5 star potential. They have great pools, and offer grills. The location is great, and it is very modern. I disliked the $200 hold for cleanup, which is NOT stated over the phone upon booking. The one pool was closed for 3 days due to a kid taking a leak I mean do we really need to shock the pool for 3 days because of kid piss? The beds and pillows very uncomfortable and sketchy wifi.

R S.

Yelp
Overall, a satisfactory experience, but not great. Pros: - Location was good for us, just 5 minute walk to the beach. - Rooms with kitchens available (we stayed in one of these). - The room was clean upon check in, and was serviced well during our stay. - Relatively good deal for the area/season. Cons: - The WiFi was simply awful, as it repeatedly disconnected. - There was no sofa or chair (other than at the small dining table), so you had to sit on the bed to watch television, which might not be a big deal in a standard hotel, but considering this was a "deluxe studio", seemed insufficient. - Uncomfortable bed - Unlike other reviewers, parking was an additional charge for us ($10 per day), which wasn't clearly stated when we booked. - The television, though a flatscreen, wasn't in HD. - No phone in the room. - The kitchen didn't have a skillet, which seems like a kitchen essential that should be stocked.

Yelp
Fairly priced, rude woman at the front desk. Cut my hand on their shower handle. She looked at me like I was crazy when I told her. She didn't have anybody attend to it or offer me a bandaid. So now there's blood on one of their shower handles so when somebody goes to get clean, they'll be touching a stranger's blood instead. I rinsed it but didn't disinfect it because I was on vacation and didn't have disinfectant with me! All in all, I don't like cutting my hand on cheap hotel furniture (disease, germs, etc), but if an employee is made aware that a guest is bleeding, maybe they can apologize (on behalf of the owner that skipped out on decent furniture) and offer up a bandaid next time.

Yelp
All the run-down hotels in this part of Fort Lauderdale (dubbed "North Beach Village") have been bought by a Swedish company called North Beach Village Resort. They've renovated the properties just enough - and no more - with some fairly perplexing omissions from the rooms that scream "cost-conscious renovation done here!". The King Bed unit I stayed in at Tranquilo was clean, with an ankle-high bed. The mattress wasn't amazing, and the pillows were hard. There was a desk and a closet and a decent bathroom. The showerheads were apparently skipped in the renovation, as was the water pressure. The one glaring issue was the light. There was a huge window, with cheap slats, and the room was so bright in the morning - with no blackout blinds - that you may as well be on the surface of the sun. Good luck sleeping in! The staff were exceptional - very friendly and helpful. I'd recommend this as a last resort, to stay one night or a weekend. Anything longer and I'd find something else. Hotel Lush down the road has blackout blinds, and is almost the same price.

Yelp
I stayed here 2 times... the first time it was amazing, but this time around it was absolutely disgusting... first off my room had bed bugs, I get moved to another room and even that room was disgusting first off my bed sheets smelled like actual poop (not even joking) next my room was infested with ants... listen I know it's a hotel and it's not going to be perfect but it's disgusting when you are showering and all and there's ants walking by your feet, next the room I was in first had bedbugs then I got accused of bringing them into the room, when I approached the staff about it they were absolutely rude about the whole situation, I asked if there was anything they can do they said there's nothing they can do... and not to mention but when I checked into my previous hotel the man at the front desk even said the hotel was dirty ! I paid more to stay at Tranquilo because of that and then I get bedbugs and ants and dirty sheets and NOBODY CAN DO ANYTHING... I do not recommend this place to anybody it's a dump. It looks nice but really isn't. I will never ever ever stay here again or anywhere in north village!

Yelp
We had an excellent stay here while visiting family during Christmas. The rooms are massive and open floor planned and modernly decorated. There are two pools for your use which is extremely convenient and the beach is just blocks away. You are close to all the great restaurants along the beach. Our customer service was handled professionally and friendly. We will for sure stay here again next visit to Ft. Lauderdale.

Yelp
I had my jewelry in the safe they provided. After I checked out realized I had forgotten to clear it out. The safe was located in a cabinet under the stove When I returned several hours later the safe was opened by the engineers but no jewelry was given to the office. I had 3 items my pearl necklace that my husband gave meI on our wedding day 20 years ago my gold chain and pearl earrings. Value of over $5000. I'm very disappointed that it was not turned over immediately by their employees. Of course police were called but only a report was taken. I wouldn't stay in this place or any other chain connected to this hotel. Totally ruined my vacation with my family.

Yelp
stayed in a king suite for three nights near the end of April. would have rated 4.75 stars if i could. the good: reasonably priced (booked thru orbitz), clean spacious accommodation (included a separate area for kitchen/living room), full size fridge, updated bathroom, comfortable bed, easy check in/check out, mostly serene atmosphere. the staff i interacted with were pleasant. about three blocks from the beach. options to visit other north beach properties. appears to a great place to relax for a few days and unwind. free reliable wifi (note i did not use wifi for heavy duty streaming, more for work/surfing) some things to note: hotel still uses actual metal keys. $10 fee for parking. was aware before booking. assumed it would be gated parking (or at least in an interior lot), but it was reserved spots on the street. i would suggest a discount for multiple days. also noted during my stay there appeared to be available "free" street parking. the building i stayed at had limited lounges and the pool had limited sun time. a car is probably needed in order to fully appreciate the area (and to get to a publix to fully utilize the kitchen) one small issue--- one night there were a group of adolescents who stayed in the room behind me and were a bit loud for a prolonged period of time after 12am. otherwise accommodations were peaceful. i would gladly return here or maybe check out one of the other north beach properties. i personally have a preference for smaller, low key, reasonably priced hotels.

Yelp
This place is pretty nice. We had the king deluxe and it is like a studio apartment. The design is functional and decor is tastefully done. The place is a short walk to the beach. There is a 3 dollar service you can call up to take you around in a golf cart like vehicle. The pool is in the courtyard area and has a communal grill. We were able to grill out and eat on the table provided outside our room. Each room has an individual entrance. I did not have any problem with the wifi. Much preferred this to a typical hotel and it is very reasonably priced.

Yelp
We visited the Tranquilo in late April. Check in was terrible!!!! We had a large group and arrived early. We agreed to pay $30 extra to check in to one of our 4 rooms about 4 hours early. When it was check in time for our other 3 rooms, 2 were not even close to being ready. We had a long week traveling and wanted to get into our own rooms to shower and lay our infant down for a nap. The front desk guys stated check in time is not guaranteed!! We waited 2 more hours to get into our rooms!! Absolutely ridiculous!! My kids were sick with colds and the front desk didn't even offer to refund the early check in for our incredible inconvenience!! Very dissatisfied with their customer service!!!

Yelp
First and foremost I've stayed here at Tranquilo a few times since I'm local to the area this review isn't about the rooms or anything it's about the poor lack of customer service and respect i received last night from the front desk guy name Malcom . He refused to let me even speak to his manager . He said he would call the police on my girlfriend and I due to us not realizing we had to check out because we paid for two days and only stayed one night . As we tried extending our stay for two extra nights this week he then told us he's refusing our stay due to us taking long to gather our money together he stated to us that we're playing games when all we tried doing was making sure we gave him the right amount . Then once we gave him the money he charged us 20 for parking not that its A big deal but i asked Him why is it 20 when every time i stayed here for a couple of days I've always only been charged 10 dollars. When I questioned him On that he yelled and told us he's listing us as not being able to stay here no longer and kicked us out the hotel for no reason ! He also tried to refuse giving us our money back this is the worst experience I have ever Had and I DO NOT PLAN ON STAYING HERE AGAIN ! I WILL BEING LETTING PEOPLE KNOW ABOUT THE LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE YOU HAVE !

Yelp
Stayed in a studio queen room and I really enjoyed my stay here! Location is great. It's 5 minute walk to the beach and the big street to catch a trolley or bus. The room was small but it was very clean and comfortable. The room had a fridge, TV, desk, and iron. And the staff were so nice and helpful! Offering suggestions as to where to go and how to get there. I would definitely come back here again if I were to visit. :)

Yelp
I stayed at Tranquilo in Fort Lauderdale for 3 days due to I was going to the NASCAR race in Miami. . I asked to check in at noon if possible instead of 3 o'clock and Matt, who was working the counter, said not only could I check in early, he upgraded my room. Matt goes above and beyond to make sure the guests are satisfied! I've never seen anybody go out of their way at any hotel I've ever stayed at as much as he did for the 3 days I was there! He was very personable and asked everyday if everything was alright. The hotel is a short walk from the beach, so it's a good location. The room was very clean, but the only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because the room is very bland in the decorating department. It is however more like a studio apartment with a kitchen, sofa in the living room and a king size bed in a separate bedroom. The only problem is you have to run the shower water for a good ten minutes until the water actually gets hot. But it's still a nice place, so I would highly recommend staying here. And ask if Matt is working, he's very attentive to the guest's needs! I would definitely stay here again!

Yelp
The atrocious experience we had here I do not wish upon anyone. The room was entirely too small, looked dirty, the wood noticeably chilling off the furniture. After walking around barefoot it was evident the floor didn't just look, but was in fact, dirty. When we asked for extra sheets we were questioned as to why, instead of simply been giving the service we (overly) paid for. The real icing on the cake was when the power went out in our room only. When we asked the staff to come see about the issue he asked us if we had the blow drier on at the same time as the TV. Apparently you can't have both things on in their facility as it blows a fuse. (Which is downright ridiculous) We explained we DIDN'T have the blow drier running and 40 MINUTES LATER when the issue was still not resolved we asked the staff to move us to a different room or give us a refund when the guy very rudely stated he just couldn't do that for us and WALKED AWAY without answering anymore of our questions. Hands down the worst customer service I've ever experienced in a hotel that is clearly not fit to run as its electric system is outdated and more than absolutely NOT worth the money or rave reviews here. Save your money.
