We had the best experience during our stay at Tranquil Seas Hotel and dining at The Sunken Fish Restaurant. From start to finish, everything was perfect — the food, the atmosphere, and most importantly, the staff.||We arrived on a Saturday, and we were met by Jan at the hotel reception. He gave us a tour of the grounds, introduced us to the staff, and made our check-in completely seamless. ||Then comes the other staff members. Osman, the bartender/ mixologist. If you want a unique and delicious drink, he's your guy, and he's a real sweetheart, to boot! |Samir and Cesia both work most mornings, and Franklin and Mackenzie, handled day and evening shifts, were always greeting us with a smile and enthusiastic welcome and great service. ||At the on-site dive shop, Best Dive Roatán, Juan, our diving instructor, was awesome. Calm, friendly and fantastic at what he does. Ruby and the boat captains were professional, helpful and always friendly. ||Now for the food — wow! We opted for the all-inclusive option for our 4 day stay at TranquilSeas and could not be happier with our decision. Every meal we had was FANTASTIC! Everything was fresh, delicious, and always beautifully presented. Their head chef is a master at his craft. ||And finally, the resort itself. We stayed in the Scarlett Macaw suite and it was nothing short of spectacular. Huge, modern,  airy living space with a large private outdoor deck with a sitting area and a swing chair for 2. The view from the suite and deck is absolutely stunning - up at tree top level with an expansive view of the ocean and birds flying around. Nothing more relaxing than rocking in the swing chair, looking out at the incredible view and listening to the sound of nature all around. ||The resort grounds are beautiful; you feel you're in a little jungle setting that looks out into the ocean. The pool was also a welcomed feature given the hot, humid weather.||Bottom line: Tranquil Seas is a hidden gem. The people, the place, the food and the diving/snorkeling. We absolutely recommend this resort without a single hesitation.||12 stars out of 10. |We are very much looking forward to coming back. |

I can hardly write a review good enough for this very special place. With only 9 rooms and super personalized service, you quickly feel like this is a home away from home. The room was beyond beautiful, uniquely decorated with the most tasteful island feel. Beds were comfortable and the bathroom and sinks spacious. Everything was clean. The food in the restaurant was freshly prepared and really exceptional. But perhaps even more exceptional than the food was the restaurant staff. We loved talking with and getting to know them. We learned a lot about Roatan by asking them about their lives, and we appreciated their openness and the connection. They were kind, friendly, funny and always helpful. And then there was the SCUBA diving. I have never had such an overall exceptional diving experience. The Roatan reefs are in good condition, especially compared to other places. But it was the dive shop staff that made it so great. We did 7 dives, including an incredible night dive. We usually had just us or one or two additional people per dive master. The boat captains were so nice and helpful and fun. The captains and dive instructors would set up the gear before and after each dive, making the dives super easy and stress free. My daughter/dive buddy was recently certified, and she felt so safe and taken care of by the staff. Could not have been a better first dive trip for her. We can not think of anything we would change about this place or our trip. And Roatan is the least expensive place I have been in the Caribbean and/or diving. If I return, it will absolutely be to Tranquilseas.

Tranquil Seas is AMAZING!!! The Eco Lodge is beautiful and right on the beach. The property is clean and well kept. The onsite restaurant was one of the best on the island...their chef is really great. My daughter and I stayed here for 5 days in March for a dive trip and I have nothing but good things to say. EVERY SINGLE PERSON we talked to or dealt with at Tranquilseas was friendly, helpful and kind, the food was outstanding, the sunsets are WOW! The manager, Ellie, and her staff is really the best! The rooms are so great...we stayed in the Gecko room and had an amazing ocean view. The room is large and clean and really nice. We interacted with lots of different staff during our stay, but I want to give a special shout out to Ellie, Osman, Cesia, Harrison, Denry, Franklin, Samir...I am sure I am forgetting some others, but they are all great humans and extremely hard working to insure every guest has a great experience on Roatan. We did our dives at the attached dive shop, Best Dive Roatan and I am leaving a separate review for them, but know that they are EXCELLENT as well and the two are closely intertwined. When setting up our stay and diving, Ellie was very quick to get back to us with emailed questions. Great, great trip!!! Thank you to everyone at Tranquil Seas.

We just returned from 7 nights at Tranquilseas and we are delighted with our decision to stay there. As divers and first timers to Roatan, we were looking for a great dive shop with comfortable, upscale accomodations. We found it! We considered some of the more well-known dive resorts but are so grateful we tried Tranquilseas. We chose the all inclusive dive package and were so pleasantly surprised at the exeptional food (variety and quality). It's defintely a small resort but they have all the great services of a bigger one. We stayed in Eagle Ray room and it was perfectly lovely. Comfortable beds (although we should have asked for thinner pillows), great shower, clean, and while not overly spacious, certainly not cramped. The service was great, very kind and helpful wait staff (Harry, Samir, Osman, Franklin, Cesia, and Denry). The dive team was also great, making some special accomodations for my husband and me since we experienced some ear issues that kept us topside for a few days. We didn't get all of our paid dives in but they certainly helped to get us close. We will defintely choose Tranquilseas if we come back to Roatan.

WOW. That's how we felt after seven days at TranquilSeas. It was one of the best vacations we have had. Where do I start with the compliments. 1. The staff were fabulous. Friendly, helpful and always engaging in conversation. The fact that the lodge is so small, you get to know everyone there. Eli runs a tight ship and it shows. 2. The food. They should have a Michelin Star rating. Chef Edwin is incredible. We did not book the "all inclusive" as we thought we would explore the various restaurants in the area. We only ate out twice and we should have stayed at the Sunken Fish. We didn't have a bad meal. They all were impressive. 3. The rooms. We stayed in the Hummingbird and it was comfortable and charming. Housekeeping was great. The room was five-star. 4. The Dive shop. Expertly run. The divemasters were organized and kept the groups safe and made every dive enjoyable. the boats are clean and comfortable. Equipment is all top notch. I would highly recommend TranquilSeas for any length of stay. The location was nice, not the noise and hustle of West End or West Bay. We will definitely be back and hopefully sooner rather than later.

We just returned from 7 nights at TranquilSeas. I felt so at home at this small eco lodge on the sea. It is not fancy but it is lovely. The very best part about it (for me) was the staff. Every single person was friendly, amazingly happy, professional and made me feel welcome. There really isn't any beach (with white sand) but the dock is well set up for lounging, reading, yoga and massage. There is a small pool but we never used it. The dive boats go in/out of their dock. Snorkeling was good but I understand from others in my party that the diving was FIRST RATE. We enjoyed amazing, well prepared breakfasts each morning. We went off site for dinner twice but found The Sunken Fish Restaurant (on site) to truly be the best and at a much more reasonable price than other places on Roatan. Beds and rooms are comfortable with fans and air conditioning. Bring mosquito repellent as they are everywhere in the late afternoon and evening.

Five stars across the board! We stayed during off-season, so we felt like the whole place was ours. Every meals was amazing. The rooms felt like home away from home with the most comfortable beds and linens. Looking at the stretch of beach, you’ll notice the best dock and pier area belongs to this hotel. The resort feels luxurious without taking itself too seriously — it’s really the perfect blend for a thrill seeker who wants to sleep in an AC room. The hotel is within swimming distance to great snorkeling and dive areas. There are a few bars and restaurants within walking distance to the hotel, though we found the food and view to be best at the Sunken Fish (Tranquilseas restaurant). If you want to get away for a few hours, the hotel can set you up with reasonably-priced picnics or day tours. I would return to Roatan and this specific lodge again.
