It's awesome. Drive-Ins are an all together different movie experience, and Transit does a great job. Fair pricing (it's for two movies!), fun options along with current releases (Retro Tuesdays choices are wins!), and even the snack bar is reasonable. I'm so glad it's still here all these years later. Highly recommended.

Great place to go and enjoy a couple movies with friends or family. They have the concession building in the back center area of all the screens. With pretty clean bathrooms and a descent amount of choices for food & drinks. I'd say my favorite new addition in the most recent years is the playground for the kids in front of the screen. They also have a spinning wheel as well as put put mini golf up there. I'm not sure if they provide clubs & golf balls. However, if you have them it us a really fun activity to enjoy before the movie starts & imbetween films.

Google
Very nice experience! They and a place for food and had nice comfortable bathrooms. Staff were friendly and the experience was lovely.

Google
Always fun, friendly staff, enjoyable. For the eclipse, they provided a fun space to 'watch' the eclipse. There were vendors, music, tasty food, and a NASA live stream showing on the movie screens. They couldn't control the cloud cover, but gave us a chance to see the total Corona on the big screens, while experiencing the darkness of totality. Thank you. At a cost of $5/vehicle, it was affordable for just about anyone! No price gouging.

Let me start of by saying this was my first time at a drive in. I must say it was a nice experience. It was cheaper for three people than going to an actual movie theater and you get to watch a double feature. Can't beat that! They have restrooms and a concession area which have a good variety of food and snacks at a reasonable price. Make sure you have your bug spray and warm blankets ready. I really had a great time and will definitely return.

We've been going to the Transit Drive-in for decades, and have never had a bad experience there. While we were really pleased (and sometimes amazed) with how well the drive-in worked and improved under Rock Cohen's management, it's been nice to see that things have stayed pretty much the same since Dipson bought the place. The concessions are still good, and fairly reasonably priced, the bathrooms are clean and well maintained, and the lots give plenty of space for each vehicle. The mini golf course has been reworked over the last few years, and our family was really happy that the old-school playground merry-go-round is still in place for the younger kids. It's not just a fun experience, but it's also a great deal for going to the movies. ETA: And with the new lots and screens, it's so cool that they can stay open (weekends) through November! ETA2: This is our first time seeing a movie on the new (over the last couple of years) screen 5. It looks a little small, so I will amend this after with a review.

Google
The drive-in has 5 different screens with double features. All the workers were helpful with giving directions and made sure that cars were following the rules, like having their lights off. Great place to go with families or on a date. The only negative was the snackbar. Although the lines moved quickly, everything that is deep fried (ex. Mac and cheese bites and mozzerella sticks) tastes sweet like the fried dough since the oil must be shared.

Google
I’ve been here before and was great since new ownership it’s horrible they allow people to have their rear hatches open open making it hard to see it blocks view and the theater doesn’t even care even if you tell someone who works there I’d give them no star review if I could absolutely watch of $24.00 to watch movies this was on 6-17-25

Yelp
One of the last drive-in around. Everyone please support it to keep it going! The food is typical movie options with also more substantial items besides popcorn example pizza, French fries ect. There is a small playground and a mini golf area.

Yelp
I grew up in Buffalo so being able to live so close to an active and thriving drive in is truly a privilege, and seeing how much it's grown is heartwarming as well. It's one of the best experiences to have and I cannot recommend it enough. The only thing I will error caution about is the parking can be a bit confusing and tricky. Also, the snack bar is always super busy and clustered. If you go with a group of friends, you can pay separately if needed. Go! And enjoy!

John C.

Yelp
People not blocking screens with there hatch doors in the air. Need to keep rude people in line.

Yelp
I love this spot so so much. Bruce and I have gone here many times over the course of our relationship and the drive-in never fails to make a perfect date. If you want a good spot, I would suggest getting there about 30-45 min early.

Yelp
Way to go, Transit Drive-In! I went on opening night during the pandemic and was thoroughly impressed with how well organized everything was. My husband and I go several times a year but he categorically refused to join me on this night because he was convinced that because of what's going on with the pandemic it was going to be "a cluster**** getting in and out of there". It was anything but. You buy your tickets on their website, you get a QR code, and then it gets scanned by the ticket-taker at the gate. Easy-Peasy! There's usually a double feature but with everything going on right now they are only showing one movie per screen and they are only selling enough tickets to fill half capacity. Usually you park two cars between each pole. For now they are parking one car, dead-center, between two poles. This is to keep people at a safe distance from one another. Face masks are required any time you exit your vehicle. The movie was set to go on at 8:45pm but the gates opened at 6:00 to accommodate the lines that were anticipated considering the new entrance procedure. I arrived at about 6:45pm and there was no one in line yet so I was able to pull right up and get through no problem. Even though there weren't any lines when I got there, this was a wise precaution because they did in fact sell out on opening night. I did not visit the snack bar or the restrooms as I was trying to keep my distance from people. I brought my own snacks and drinks which I usually don't do because I know that drive-ins make the bulk of their money from sales at the snack bar. But I have in the past, and the soda is always fizzy, the chicken fingers are always juicy and crispy, and the popcorn is always buttery. The movie started right on time and I enjoyed myself very much. I had my choice between Trolls World Tour, or The Invisible Man. I went with Trolls because I wanted I feel-good type of movie. I sat in my car and ate Lebanese food from Almaza Grill which is on the same road 5.5 miles to the south. Next time I will hit the snack bar! Thanks for a memorable evening, Transit Drive-In! I will be back soon!

Yelp
Transit is a pretty cool outfit, overall, and it combines the virtues of a cheap date-night spot, a dog-friendly venue, and a place to drink outdoors in the summer. That's a lot of pluses. The skinny: you pay a pretty reasonable ($12, I think) ticket price to catch a double feature. You get directed around by staff on Segways, which is quirky and fun, but it's essentially first-come, first parked, so get there early if you can. There's a midcentury-modern themed concession building in the back with a diner-style grub (more on that in a second) and restrooms for the inevitable double-feature potty break. Things I like: 1) It's non-smoking except in designated areas. I don't care if we're outdoors. You smoking eight feet away from me is gross. 2) You occasionally get a classic thrown in with the first-run stuff, making your double-feature selection a little more interesting. 3) You can back in your truck or hatchback and thus not have to look through a windshield if you park towards the back and you can pull your car forward as other people leave (many ditch out on the second feature). 4) Has a pretty long open season now (April though at least September) Things I like less: 1) Can we maybe get some more veggie or vegan options on the menu? I know it's Lockport, but I also know that theaters make their money off of concessions, and I'd appreciate it if there were more I could buy. Beyond Meat and Field Roast and Daya all make the stuff on your menu (e.g. pizza, burgers, hot dogs). 2) No mixing and matching your movies. I can sorta get this logistically, but I've also seen other drive-ins let you do it. It would be nice not to have to commit to a pairing that other people chose for you. Anyway, Transit is an enjoyable local resource, and I'll certainly visit a few times this season.

Yelp
A wonderful summer tradition for all. For me, it is not summer if I don't make it at least once to the drive in. For 11 dollars you are able to experience 5-7 hours of entertainment!!! That's a steal! The transit drive allows you to watch a series of 2-3 movies in a row in the coziness of your car. Every night they have 4 different options depending on the newest movies out and genre you are looking for. The first movie is usually a newer movies and the second and third are usually ones in a similar genre that are slightly older. The best time to go to the drive in is when it is a colder night so you can snuggle up in your car with lots of blankets. The best spot is the second row, if you are looking to get the best view get there early so you can secure the perfect spot! The snack bar is also a must. They have a variety of goodies from pizza logs, to giant buckets of popcorn to candy of all sorts! This is a local business worth supporting.

Yelp
Awesome place great prices and great people! They have tons of exciting events as well!

Yelp
In this life, you need to seek out the places and things that bring simple joy, and the Transit Drive-In is definitely one of those places! We are so lucky to have a drive-in movie theater in the WNY area. Considering they don't really exist anymore, it's nice to have this option during the summertime. It was especially nice having it last summer during strict COVID regulations! I think the value of this place is really good. While tickets are per person instead of per car, they include either two or three movies so you can make a night of it. They have lots of staff to assist with parking-related questions and instructions too (lord knows I need all the help I can get with that). They have a snack bar too, full of wonderful movie theater classics! I can almost never turn down Skittles and popcorn when I'm at the movies, but I have to say their filled soft pretzels are something special. If you've never been to the Transit Drive-In, you must give it a try this summer! You'll get all the nostalgia and good feels from this place.

Yelp
I have been to 3 drive-ins in the last 2 months and I can honestly say that the Transit Drive-In is the benchmark all drive-ins need to strive for. Signs to that direct visitors where to go (ex. exits), well-paved ground, clean concession stand with lots of options, clean and well-maintained screens, a clear sign for the radio station the movie sound will play on, good sound quality, good picture quality, and DJ/Music before the movie starts. The only thing that I wish they had is some merch. I would love to have a retro-looking t-shirt with their sign. We went Sunday night for the double feature of Godzilla vs Kong and Nobody. The entrance is $10 per person. In my book that is a good deal for two new movies. There is no screen hopping. You can't watch the first movie on screen 2 and then jump to screen 4 for the second movie. They have park attendants looking out for this, and cars with their lights on. They will ask you to leave if you screen hop. When you visit, even if you are not purchasing anything from the concession stand, you must go in and check it out, it's so well done. Looks like a legit retro, 50s decor! The entrance is on the side, the middle entrance is for the bathrooms. Note: New COVID rules, tickets must be purchased online. Will definitely be back!

Joy O.

Yelp
Literally the coolest spot ever! I had never gone to a drive-in before and I heard that the Transit Drive-In was one of the best. I certainly wasn't disappointed! Such a fun and enjoyable experience for the whole family. It was so cool to see the movies like that. I would definitely recommend bug spray (and lawn chairs!) but even if you don't have your own, they do sell some bug spray at the snack bar. Happy Adventuring!

Louis D.

Yelp
One of my favorite places to go. The staff are always helpful and courteous. The concessions are always great and well worth the wait. Me and my fiancé used to go at least twice a week, however now that it's only open Friday and Saturday, are only able to go once in a great while due to myself working at a very early hour. Wish they were open all week like they used to be. With that said, it's still worth me being exhausted once in awhile to attend a late night show.

Yelp
It tickles me that drive-ins still exist at all, such a throw-back pastime. But they are still around. Drive-ins somehow have the power to detach us from our handheld-screen-lords, and all look up at a collective experience, for a change. And the fact that we have such a great one in the 716-area is a blessing. We moved back to WNY about 8 years ago, and have been back at the Transit Drive-In for at least a couple movies a season ever since. This year during pandemic times, we've been twice for a couple family-friendly double features: Jurassic Park / Jaws (mostly family-friendly), and Despicable Me / Minions. Even during non-pandemic times, Transit Drive-In regularly has retro nights, which we love. We've seen Gremlins and Field of Dreams on the big screens here in years past; such a treat to see those classics live large again. We've been for many new releases too, and they all are presented well on the screens here, listening from your vehicle radio. There are five screens, all with decent capacity for parking many cars. Even if it is a sell-out, there are pole markers that keep cars spaced well, which is important for the current social-distancing situation. We have a big ole' rockin' vintage party van, and park towards the back row so we can face our rear doors to the screen, roll down our back bed, and snuggle up for a comfy movie experience. Vehicles that prefer to watch from the trunk always line up in the back, and regular cars that face-forward can park anywhere. If you're new to the drive-in experience, no worries, there are lots of attendants around to help you find your screen and get set up. Ticket prices seem a bit high to me, but I'm a cheap'o, so maybe my perspective is skewed. It's currently $10 per adult and $6 per kid under 12. You can pre-pay online for easy, contact'less arrival. I miss the days of the car-load sale, when everyone could pile in for one price. But one of the perks of the drive-in is you can bring your own snacks to save dough on concessions, so that saves you a chunk right there. We have tried a few things from the concession, and they are better-priced here than a movie theater. The $3 cheeseburger isn't a bad deal. To sum it up, LOVE the Transit Drive-In. We'll continue to come here as long as they are around. We'll DEFINITELY be there in September this year when the new Bill & Ted's movie releases. I am a longtime Keanu fan, (since Rush Rush, yup, pretty fitting for this review, wink, wink, a'hem, a'hem), and am soooooooooo looking forward to that most excellent night. So we'll see you there, dudes!

Colleen O.

Yelp
What do you do when it's summer time in Buffalo, all outdoor events in the area are cancelled, and you are sick of watching movies at home? You go to the drive in of course! Normally I would support the concessions, but to keep space between the other patrons and myself, I brought my own snacks. You must pre order your tickets online for the movie now ($10 for each adult ticket) and I found the website to be easy as pie to use! Just show your email confirmation at the ticket booth for them to scan! Ferris Bueller's Day Off was playing on screen 4, I'm happy they are bringing back some classics before the new releases are back in rotation ! It was the perfect summer night! I'll be back for more nights watching movies under the stars at the drive in

Tonya D.

Yelp
I never truly appreciated the drive-in until the pandemic hit. Now, we have found it a great way to get out to see a movie without worrying about getting exposed to anything. The Transit Drive-in has five screens and is well organized. Most of the time, the screens are all playing double features but I can't sit through two movies in a row! If I wanted to, $11 per person is a great deal for two films. You are strongly encouraged to visit the concession stand as that is how the drive-in manages to stay open when most in the country have closed over the years. One bonus of the pandemic is that the drive in is staying open into the colder months. Wear some layers, bring some blankets, and it's still a great time!

Cleeii A.

Yelp
Loved this place. Went here to see Godzilla vs Kong and Mortal kombat. Tickets are reasonably priced. It's a great deal for two new released movies with the price of one. Payed $10/person (not per car). They have 5 different screens and audio plays through your cars radio or bring a portable one. You can also sit inside or bring your camping chairs and sit outside of your car. We stayed inside the car throughout the movies due to the weather, wind blowing strongly and drizzling. Ample parking for many cars in different screens. Bathrooms are very clean and well maintained. Tons of food selections on their snack bar. You can also bring your own food/snacks. Mini golf is $3 per person to kill time while waiting for the movie. No switching screens. All vehicle lights must remained off while movies are being shown. Ticketing can be purchased on their website, and they are open Weekends only! Rain or starlight. Please check their website for more details, guidelines, movies and upcoming releases. It was a unique experience that we really enjoyed. Great outdoor activity for families or a date night. We can't wait to be back again!!

Daviyion J.

Yelp
Great Drive-in movie experience. Affordable and good quality audio and screens, even in the rain!

Holly B.

Yelp
I love coming here with my husband on weekends and always watch a great movie. i love the environment and the prices are great!

Phillip M.

Yelp
Fantastic environment with even better service. Place has greatly improved in the last year. Great for families or a date

Antwan M.

Yelp
Transit Drive In Theatre is where memories are made! Not too many drive ins left around but this is an experience you must see for yourself. Gets busy fast so you may want to come a tad early to get a good parking view. What's a drive in experience without a great view? Snack bar on site; popcorn, pizza and nachos are the best lol. $4 for kids toddlers in free adults $9.

Nunki W.

Yelp
I never been to drive-in and when I heard they are going to have fireworks before the movie I was like why not. I've been dying to go see movie too. So my bf and I got the tickets for the new mutants. We want to make sure we get good spot so we were there early. We have to wait quite a bit until dark. First the fireworks show. Which is really awesome! I saw many fireworks but I feel like this is one of the best and it's different displays than normal. I really enjoyed it. Worth the wait. Now the movie... I got spoiled with closed captioned glass from regal so I missed that. The sound is from your radio but since many people turned theirs pretty loud I felt like we don't really need it. But we ended up turning it anyway. Second movie is Deadpool but since we both already saw it and we both tired we decided to leave. I have mixed feelings about this. I might go again is both movies are something that I really want to watch. Also maybe next time I take the kids.

Samantha C.

Yelp
I had never been to a drive-in before so my opinion may be skewed here, but I had a fine experience. Currently tickets are only available online by pre-sale to minimize contact (though they do still hand you a physical ticket stub with the drive-in rules), and you pay per person, not car. It is worth noting that you will need to run car battery to access the FM radio station as it is not available on any free FM radio app I could find. Would have been super helpful to know that before going. Be sure and figure out how to turn off all your interior and exterior car lights before the show starts. They have park attendees on Segways riding around who can assist if you can't figure it out. I will echo some of the other reviews to say if a Segway comes over to your vehicle it means you're probably in trouble, but I didn't see anyone being an asshole about it. Most shows are advertised online as a double feature offering. Given the late sunsets we have during the summer do not expect the first one to start until closer to 9:00 PM (though you'll want to be there early to grab a spot). I didn't manage to stay for the double feature as the second film didn't start till 11:00 PM. Based on what I could decipher from the website the second film is currently free. Don't know if that is true or not, since it sounds like some people in other reviews have run into issues. I left before it started, so I didn't get to find out. Visited the concessions and was glad to see all staff wearing masks and gloves, even if they were not being socially distant from each other. There is an employee stationed at each door to open it for you and make sure you're headed to the right spot - the restrooms, which are normally connected via double doors to the concession area have been roped off, so you have a different entrance/exit depending on what you're there for. Will say $7.50 for pizza logs was shockingly high. No plans to get those again but I would be down to come back and see another film here.

Amanda W.

Yelp
I was fortunate enough to grow up in Lockport, hope of the transit drive-in movies. I use the word fortunate because drive-ins around the country are dead and dying. But not this one, and it makes for a truly unique and special night out. They have 5 different screens. 5!!! Sometimes they show the same sets of movies on multiple screens if they are really popular. Some fun facts about the drive in: * they have all the blockbuster hits that you could want * in the summer, they are open every single night, and do a "retro movie Tuesday" * you get two-three movies (yes! Sometimes they have a triple feature!) for less than the price of one standard movie ticket at Regal or AMC. * they accept cards and cash Tips for going: * they have designated smoking areas, otherwise it's generally non-smoking *well behaved dogs can attend the show :) * you can bring in your own food and drinks, but you should also plan on visiting the concession stand- the food is tasty and well priced- get the apple pie logs! * they have a little mini golf area and playground area under the main screen, get there early and let the kinds go nuts * the movies start at sunset * bring bug spray!!

Sana S.

Yelp
It was the first time we came to this drive in and we hope to return again. The movie screen was great and we were parked pretty far but still had a great view. The security person who showed us where to go was very pleasant. I'm taking one star off because while we were trying to find our parking spot and listen to the security guy tell us the rules another security guy sped towards us to very aggressively say we need to turn our lights off. We had turned our headlights off when we came through the entrance, but our interior lights were still on and the parking lights were on while we were parking into our spot. The second security guy said we were disturbing the guests around us (it was the end of the previous movie and we came for the next showing) and repeated that we need to turn our lights off. We reassured him we are figuring out how to turn off the lights and we will turn off the car now, we were just parking into our spot, he proceeded to even more aggressively command us to turn off our lights. This experience put a damper on our first time at the drive in. It was our first time there, in a new car that we were still trying to figure out of the lights, and the guy just had no patience from the get go and wasn't listening to us when we said okay we are trying. Now that we are aware of the rules and our car lighting situation we hope to have a more smooth time next time.

Mark P.

Yelp
My wife and I went to transit drive in last night to see Jungle Cruise. As always we had a excellent time. To my surprise there was a hot rod night there @ screen #1. I've been talking about this for months. I really enjoyed seeing the cars and hope you will do this again, maybe once a month. I'll support you & attend. Thank you for a excellent night!!!

Erin H.

Yelp
Okay obviously the Transit Drive-In is getting 5 stars. One because I grew up at this place and two because it's the only drive in around us so basically you're going to end up going there regardless. It has everything you could want! 4 different screens, mini golf, huge playground, great snack stand and lots of bathroom stalls! Not waiting very often. Granted it gets a little messy but that's okay - you're at the drive in! I know you're going to have an absolutely wonderful time while you're there! Also the ticket prices are extremely reasonable - I believe it's less than a regular movie theater and you're going to get a double feature. I payed $9 for two brand new movies! You can also bring in your own snacks if you want!

Katie R.

Yelp
Wow!!! I am from out of town and I am not sure if people around here realize what a gem this place is, our drive ins are all dead and gone. It's just so neat and fun to take a step back in time without leaving the modern conveniences of your 2020 vehicle. The food was good (pizza rolls...you lucky people) and the bathrooms were modern and tidy. The staff was friendly and helpful...especially the guy that comes around on the Segway to help you turn off your interior lights!! Thank you, Transit, for giving my kids an experience they otherwise wouldn't have had! If you live in the area please keep this place alive, you are lucky to have it.

Carla J.

Yelp
Was a great experience. First time at a drive in and glad this one is still around. Was busy, but they moved everyone through quickly. Areas were clearly marked and parking easy to find. Love that they offer double features. Easy to hook up to sound. Concession area was clean and well organized. Popcorn was a little stale, but not terrible. Was at a Marvel movie and sound switched to radio before both end credits scenes, but that wouldn't be an issue with most movies. The 4 instead of 5 star rating is that concession line was long, but that may have to do with not being able to hire staff. Definitely looking forward to my next trip!

Amy R.

Yelp
We bring the kids every summer, at least once a year. The movies are always up to date and the screens and sounds a great. Before the show my kids always want to play mini golf and play on the playground. It's not a perfect play area but for the price it's great. Concession stand is still reasonably priced and the options are all fresh.

Jenn T.

Yelp
Love the drive in but would definitely suggest they organize the spots better so that larger vehicles (trucks, vans, SUVS) must park behind a sedan parking area because it was difficult to see over larger vehicles from our sedan. Especially when one van in particular kept opening their trunk door... Also would like to see the ground paved instead of rocks, because if you make the mistake of wearing sandals trying to be comfortable the gravel KILLS your feet.

Chris L.

Yelp
Solid option for a good Saturday night of fun. As a word of advice, go early to get a good spot. Movies are all current and reasonable priced, considering everything is a double feature. They also have old movies on Tuesday night, check their web page for details. If you do go early check out the food options. Large popcorn is a $5.75 (I think) and there are other options like pizza as well as chicken (some nights). They will let you bring your dog and many people do so. Most adults sit on lawn chairs in front of their car. The big screen has a playground and mini golf to kill time before the move. Overall it is a good western New York summer tradition. Enjoy.

Aly W.

Yelp
We arrived under two hours before showtime. Unfortunately the "playground" consists of a merry-go-round in a moat of mud and wood chips, and some swings, so if you come with kids, you will probably want to bring other things to entertain them while you wait. Or you could live dangerously and arrive closer to showtime, but we've seen cars waiting along Transit half a mile to a mile back some nights. They charge per person instead of vehicle, but kids are only $4. Plus it's either a double or triple feature, if you're a night owl. I think they also have less expensive classic movie nights. Candy is ridiculously expensive, and there's nothing stopping you from bringing your own unless you're swayed by that long, heavyhanded "Buy our concessions so we can stay in business" commercial you're subjected to before the trailers. That said, everything else seemed reasonably priced and cheaper than movie theaters, like a $3 cheeseburger (compared to the $3.50 candy) and $12 pizza. A large tub of popcorn is under $6. Sound as good as your car stereo because they use radio stations. No video issues. A pretty solid experience overall, and a better value than the theater.

Yelp
This is such a special place. I'm so glad we can bring our kids here to have the Drive-In experience. We came to the retro night to see SpaceBalls, and the Drive-In had arranged for people in SpaceBalls costumes to walk around and interact with guests. It was so fun!

Yelp
Went on a date so let's just say very different when I was a child... They have people walking around telling you nope you can't park there or they will walk up and say our dash board light that was playing the sound was too bright lol... I mean I was scared to kiss my date without the drive in police watching, but he held my hand throughout the whole movies and rubbed my neck and arms so it was good. All in all it was still nice and it was wonderful, the French fries was wasn't no frozen fries in a bag either they we're cut and deep fried so that made me so freaking happy cause I love my fries, large popcorn was really great. Just wish they would have 2 snack stands one on each side and 2 bathrooms on each side also cause you gotta pee and get food so the lines on both we're like damn... And I really hate missing a 1st part of a movie

Yelp
OWNER IS A STRAIGHT UP TOOL!! Decided to come here for a fun date. After being guided to screen 3 I began to park my vehicle while a very rude man on a Segway was quite literally yelling at me to turn my headlights off. My headlights were off, most modern day vehicles have parking lights that are on when the headlights are turned off regardless. He came up to my window and was being pushy and extremely rude. My vehicle was in motion! You have to push the parking brake to turn them off. As soon as I stopped my car I was pushing my parking brake to turn the running lights off and he began yelling that if I didn't turn them off I'd need to leave. This whole thing probably took 10 seconds. I asked him to give me a chance to do it and he said "well you're about 20 seconds too late" Like dude, get a damn life. There's bigger things in life to be an a$$ about. How about you get on that Segway of yours and put some toilet paper in the bathrooms. :)

Yelp
I've been coming here since I was a little tiny kid and still find joy coming here in my 20s (and probably for as long as I live in western New York)! Prices are based on person and updated prices are on their website. On their website you'll also find the current showings as well as upcoming and retro nights. I remember back in the day when traffic would line up along Transit waiting to get in. Somewhat recent they added an off the street drive way to help the traffic on busy nights. Once you pay the teller and get your sheets of paper of showing and ticket info, you drive on the gravel to your proper screen number. There's not posted dedicated areas for bigger vehicles, but its courtesy to park in the last rows. On dead nights, doesn't really matter. We bring our dog, blankets, pillows, and tons of snacks. For the first time this summer a worker approached us to meet our dog. He asked if she was friendly and/or barks. Luckily she's really friendly and rarely barks so no issues. They have food for purchase near the restrooms. It's not super cheap, but it's another way to help support the drive in.

Yelp
We have had a very bad experience at the drive in the past couple times that we've gone. This is entirely due to the customer service and treatment from employees. Ex- interrupting the movie multiple times; refusing to help;etc. this past time my family was told they could park next to us in the big vehicle row. We had been there for more than 45 minutes, the movie started, and then someone came to tell them that the had to move to the back row. Since the movie already started the only spaces available were on the outskirts, across the lot very far away (even though there was plenty of open space in the rows in front of us) . We asked to speak to a manager and one of the regular workers approached as if he was the manager but he clearly wasn't. That is not okay. They admitted their error but persisted. My family opted to leave and we missed the whole beginning of the movie. They also charged 2.50 for a cup of hot water to warm a baby bottle, and after 10 seconds of having a cellphone flashlight on in the interior of the car so that I could change a diaper someone was on top of us telling us that we couldn't have it on. Perhaps the constant bombardment from the staff ruins the movies far more than a dim light in a car.

Yelp
The owner and his staff are RUDE. If you have any problems or criticism, be prepared for him to blame your stupidity. It couldn't possibly be the venue. Don't give this jerk your money. Assigned parking, tail gate ties, bathrooms with no t.p. Don't plan on parking next to any friends-If you don't have the same type of car either. So many restrictions and rules. Good grief! How is this guy still open? We'll be going to Middleport... or anywhere else to watch a movie!

Yelp
This drive in theater is such a great summer tradition. It makes me feel like I've time traveled back to the 50s. They do a great job of maintaining a classic look and feel for the patrons with the decorations, signs and retro commercials for the snack bar. I'm sure it makes some adults very nostalgic. One of my favorite things to do in the summer is go with a group (one driver just have a pickup truck) and a bunch of pillows and blankets. We set up the sleeping bags and pillows in the bed of the truck and watch the movies outside. It's so relaxing and simple. They also host retro movie double features. The summer of 2014 had them on Tuesday nights. They play movies like ET, Grease, The Goonies & Ferris Bueller. It's such a fun place to be in the warm weather. The snack bar also has tons of options (ice cream, popcorn, candy, nachos etc...)

Yelp
The Transit Drive In is such a local gem, and does so well with attendance, it is so sad to believe that other drive ins around the country have had such hardship that they needed to go out of business. What makes our area so different that we can support a 5 screen drive in, from early spring till the time it snows? Summertime, if you're not there super early, you many not even get in. That's popularity!!! The value is amazing - $9, less than the cost of one theater movie - you have a double feature of 2 first run movies. Peak summer time, there will be 3 - if you can stay awake that long. You can bring your own snacks if you wish, or visit the snack bar. The prices are reasonable, good variety of snacks and meals, and the service is quick, even with long summertime lines. And, with the cheap ticket prices, supporting the snack bar is encouraged to allow the drive in to continue to operate and improve. We bring our dog, no reason to leave her home alone when we don't need to. If you haven't visited, you're missing out on a nice experience. Bring a portable radio, so you don't need to use your car battery. Relax in your car or bring some folding chairs. Just a happy atmosphere all around!

Yelp
Great movie option for Buffalo! $9 per person. You pay by the person, not the car. More than enough options to choose from. I thought the concession stand was appropriately priced. Paid $5.75 for a large popcorn. Staff was pleasant. I enjoy coming here during the summer over any other theater. You get 2 movies for the price of what is normally 1.

Yelp
Locals are so lucky to have a drive-in in their backyards. With so few left in the country, this is a nostalgic gem that needs to be supported by everyone in the area! The facilities have been kept up and repaired, but maintain the same look and feel from when I was a kid. I also still feel the same bubble of excitement when I know we're going to the drive-in as I did when I was young and going with my parents. The prospect of curling up with blankets and pillows under the stars to watch a new movie still feels novel and exciting, no matter how old I get. Even though staying awake for the second feature rarely happens, getting tickets to two recent film releases for $9 is a steal. The FM station comes in clearly, ensuring that audio is never an issue. And the screens are well-positioned, so it's easy to see the images. The only thing that can ruin the drive-in is other patrons. If you have to start your vehicle up mid-show to charge the battery, make sure your headlights are off. Try to get to the shows on-time and don't leave mid-movie unless there's an emergency!

Yelp
This drive in theatre is truly a gem and we are lucky to have it so close by. They have great prices (two movies for ten dollars) and sometimes triple features! The place itself is clean and well kept up and the sound and picture quality are exactly what you would want. This is a fun outdoor experience and they're open from early spring all the way into October where they show lots of old scary movies! They routinely have specials going on or different events and during the summer they're open every day! On Tuesday nights they do retro movie day which is kind of fun. Their concession stand is really good and they have nice food at good prices (not the insane Regal prices or anything like that) and you're supporting a local business and family who runs it. There's no shortage of things to see here either with their FIVE screens. I remember as a kid growing up sharing one large screen and thinking that was amazing so it's very cool to see how this place has grown and continues to be successful many years later. This is a summer staple for me and a place I plan to visit a few times every year for many years to come!

Yelp
One of the few drive-ins left in the country and it's a total gem. For the price of less than one movie at your standard Regal...you get to see up to 3 movies back to back. In the comfort of your own car...or on a lawn chair next to your car. Whatever your style. I can't believe it took me so long to find myself here after 8+ years of living in Buffalo, but after my first experience...it's safe to say I'm excited to go back. Hopefully sometime this Fall...with some Yelp friends! ;) Here's how it works...you come into their Lockport location, pay $ and pick a screen. I believe they have 4 screens with 2 or 3 movies that play back-to-back. You get a radio station to tune your car radio to or there is also ample sound outside if you're sitting in a lawn chair. Bring your own snacks or buy your own (they have a nice facility with bathrooms and food onsite). On certain days, they even play classic movies such as Back to the Future, Godfather trilogy, etc. If you've never found yourself at this drive-in...you GOTTA go! The staff, people and VALUE are incredible.

Yelp
If you want to overpay (who charges by the person instead of the car?) and be treated badly by the owner, this is the place for you! From the moment we arrived, the owner was rude, disrespectful and unable to respond in a simple conversation. Don't waste your money or time. If I could give 0 stars, I would.

Jon H.

Yelp
This drive in theatre is very well kept. It was clean, getting in/parking was a breeze. The concessions aren't too overpriced, and the staff is friendly/helpful. Bathrooms are clean. They occasionally pair the movies (your ticket includes two, back-to-back) a bit odd. We went to see "Despicable me 2", and the second movie of the pair was "Two Guns"; not really the same genre. But usually the two paired movies fit well with each other. Highly recommend for adults, couples, families.. everyone.

Yelp
Transit Drive-in is pretty awesome. I like to visit their competition a little more, but I come here too. The owners are super cool. They have helped raise money for new projectors to keep other drive-in's open. They donate to local charity. I can't think of a place that has tried to put so many spins on what they do. They were showing NFL games to help raise money for charities. Retro Tuesday is my biggest draw to come here, the line up is always solid. They have put money back in to their drive-in, which is paved, has digital projectors and now has 5 screens! They have even taken advantage of the off season to put in a new retro style sign and ridiculously upgraded snack bar. If your car goes dead, they will give you a jump, just ask. It can get full so get there early.
