I met a nice family from Palermo on the train from Cefalu to Palermo. They recommended this restaurant to me and even made a reservation for me for the same evening. They said all the food is good, but I should try the eggplant balls in tomato sauce. They were pretty good organized, one taking orders, two served and the owner was helping where help was needed. All of them super nice. According to the recommendation I ordered the eggplant balls and then ravioli with two different fillings - super delicious. 😊 Again it proofs - asked the locals for recommendations and in 95% you won't be disappointed. 😊 Thanks to the strangers from the train - I'll pass that recommendation on to my parents 😉

Wonderful dinner! The staff was friendly and welcoming, the dishes were tasty. They offered us panelle and croquets on arrival. The staff was energetic and helpful and spoke great English. They helped steer us to some great dishes. The fettuccine with pistachio pesto was new for us and a great dish. Overall just an amazing dining experience and just off the main tourist track to feel a little more authentic. Highly recommend!!

It was absolutely great to have a dinner in here! We didn't have reservation but lu,kily they helped us to have a table for two. It was my first dinner in my Sicily trip and I can say the meals are delicious!

We are lucky can get a table without reservation. The restaurant is a bit away from tourists area (quantti canti) but it’s very busy and lots of local customers, it keeps serving the dishes every minutes. All dishes we had ordered are very delicious and fresh. Those staffs are friendly and patient. We spent about €60 for 2 pastas, 1 appetizer, 1 first course and 1 dessert, some soft drinks which is pretty reasonable. Highly recommended!

Although the atmosphere wasn’t super vibrant, it reflects the traditional/local story behind the restaurant. Go here if you want to eat some seriously good traditional Sicilian food!! We ordered the stuffed squid, stuffed swordfish, potato salad and squid ink pasta. My husband said the pasta was the best squid ink pasta he’s ever eaten. The wine was affordable and we had a very delicious meal. Please go here if you want authentic local food!!

We were lucky to walk in at 7:30 and grab a dinner spot without a reservation. The staff were so friendly and gave great recommendations. The ravioli with tomato sauce was INCREDIBLE!! All the food we had was cooked perfectly and had us eating so slowly to savour every bite. Highly recommended for an authentic Italian dinning experience.

What a disappointment. The price-to-quality ratio just doesn’t add up. This place gets recommended for a local, authentic experience — but aside from the pasta (which was okay, not amazing), everything else was underwhelming. Dull flavors, barely any seasoning or salt, tiny portions, and a very outdated, slow-paced atmosphere. I usually love local charm, but this was not worth the price — we should’ve paid half for what we got. Skip it.

A bit off the beaten tourist track, and hidden away behind a fairly simple facade with no tables outside, this wonderful restaurant is hidden away. We only went there because it was recommended by our fabulous hostess and were not disappointed. The interior is simple, but "old style" comfortable. We were served promptly, friendly and efficiently. Since they have many tables to serve it might seem a bit too quick at times but we had no problem with that. We had a mixed platter of antipasti and were a bit confused when only a small plate with some fried veggies and pork pieces arrived. The confusion resolved a minute later when the other parts of the antipasti came 😁 Plenty and very good. For main courses we picked squid and eggplant involtini. We enjoyed both dishes a lot, as well as the wine that was recommended by the staff. If you plan to go, best make a reservation.
