Trattoria Al Faro

Recommended by a local as wondering the streets of Sciacca. Nestled close to the harbour this modern decor isn’t your typical trattoria. Food is humble and seasonal, beverages are artisan and local.

Octopus was really good, small portion but for the price was great. The best food was the cannoli. Good atmosphere. Greatly recommend.

The food was absolutely amazing. The dishes were prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients that truly elevated the flavors. Highly recommend!!

Very nice local restaurant. You will not find many if any tourists. The mussels were delicious would recommend ordering. The crudo was fresh and also delicious. I also thought the linguine with clams (vongole) was spot on. If you’re looking for a more local, relaxed restaurant in Sciacca- this is a good option.

Bloody marvellous! Definitely the best food we’ve had so far in Sicily. The red shrimp starter and the mixed antipasti were delicious, the grilled octopus on bean pure was fab and the spaghetti vongole was a triumph. We could not resist the cannoli for dessert. The service was speedy friendly and efficient. The restaurant is modern bright and very clean. All in all a terrific meal. This is what we came to Sicily for!

I will say it with only two words "just perfect". Fresh fish,fresh pasta, fresh vegetables,very polite people and nice atmosphere. One more place in this part of Sicily, which I recomended with two hends

Seven stars out of five! Reservation recommended! The fisherman's menu consists of seven starters (! :-) ), two first dishes, a mixed main dish with salad, fruit, dessert and wine. Each of which is impeccable, with delicious original taste, no cheap tricks, I would prefer the scales on the small fish removed, hence only five stars out of five. Price per person: 30 eur. Sixth star for the dilligent proffessional attitude of the staff. Seventh star for the toilets, which is hard to find that clean in Sicily. The starters are a mixture of typical Sicilian food, quality on first place. Won't give up the details, check my photos. Then tuna pasta. Then muscels risotto. Then main dish with squid, a small fish, a sword fish steak and a shrimp. With salad. Dessert: pieces of pine apple and delicious baked sicilian filled sweet buiscit. Never ever have to wait for next course to come, the food keeps coming with regular paste as one finishes the previous dish. Makes one feel welcome. GOOD JOB! If I ever come back to Sicily, I'll wind up in this place!

Lovely restaurant set one block from the water. Light, airy, upscale appearance with white tablecloths and cloth napkins. The food was delicious and the waitstaff professional and attentive.

While driving through Sciacca during lunch time I came across Al Faro and gave it a shot. When I entered I was the only one there, soon to change, and I can see why. The restaurant totally exceeded my expectations with limited offerings open. First the staff were all wonderful. Though we had a little communication barrier, google translate more than made up for that and I was able to order without any major issues. I had the eggplant caponata which I have to say was not my favorite; great ingredients for sure, but in the end too sweet for my liking. However, the Busiate with swordfish which is local Sicilian favorite more than made up it. The sun dried tomatoes, fresh lemon and parsley was just a great combination with the fish. I could not finish it all but that was not due to the taste. I was just simply stuffed. Do not be afraid to try Al Faro if in the area. They are located right by the dock with plenty of parking, and you'll have a great experience.

Absolutely delighted by the exceptional risotto at this place. The food overall was amazing, with a strong local influence. However, the desserts didn't quite match up to the standard set by the main courses. Highly recommended!

Wow! absolutely fantastic food. The service is great and so was the ambiance. We will definitely be back here again. I definitely recommend this place to everyone.

Great menu choices. Have Google translator ready to work thru the menu Clean, great service and delicious food Entering the place you will be surprised and delighted with the decor. Never suspect what's behind the door until you walk in and see for yourself. Enjoy
