I discovered this gem by accident 5 years ago, just 2 months before we were all brought to a standstill during lockdown. I’m so happy I managed to return and have another truly wonderful meal there last night. I was blown away by the flavours - each course matched perfectly with different wine thanks to the recommendation of the gentleman serving who seems enthused by his craft and was more than happy to discuss the flavours and produce. Top marks for table presentation, atmosphere and creating wonderful dishes using local produce. I can’t recommend this place highly enough. I will certainly return, hopefully in less than five years!

Wonderful seafood dinner! Warm welcoming service, delicious food and wine. A lovely evening out in Venice! Make sure to try the Cantina Gibadda Vermentino di Sardegna wine the owners make and the pickled vegetables for an antipasto. We will be back the next time we visit Venice for another special evening.

An authentic, family-run restaurant in Venice can be hard to find, and this is absolutely the real deal. We go to Venice a lot- this week was about the 7th time we've visited. Every time, we eat at Trattoria Anzolo Raffaele because it's amazing. It's off the beaten track in Dorsoduro, run by a husband and wife, and the food is absolutely wonderful. Fresh authentic ingredients, prepared with skill and heart. The seafood is amazing, but we also love their steak with rosemary. We keep coming back for more! Just to manage expectations: they don't do pizza or kids' menus. But they do amazing gluten-free pasta if anyone has allergies!

Had the most special dinner here. The food was simply the best we had in Venice where everything was home made and cooked to order! The staff were beyond accommodating and created such an ambient atmosphere where you felt like you were dining in someone’s home. The interior and exterior are tasteful and well preserved. Would recommend 100 times over!!

Hello, we came here last night and we were blown away by the team here. The food was so delicious, especially the pasta dishes and the dessert, highly recommend! We had one vegetarian and they catered their dishes especially towards her. As well as the food, the owners and our male waiter here were so friendly and lovely, very attentive. The interior of the restaurant was cosy with a classic italian feel, we were the last ones in and we were very happy this was our last stop before we left Venice. Thank you very much!

First restaurant to visit during our stay in Venise, it was perfect. On a very calm place away from the loud touristic alley of Venice, this place is a very charming, quite stop to enjoy traditional and local food from a couple that offer you healthy, fresh, local and tasty Italian food. Their vegetables coming from their own garden shared with another restaurant close to Venice, we really enjoyed this stop, thank you for your team work, warm welcome and lovely traditional Italian food an place.

After 5 days in Venice being constantly disappointed, this place was the antidote for our trip. The restaurant is located in a quiet off the beaten track Square and they set up a table outside, next to the wall of the church, for us at lunch because the sun was shining even though they were not prepared for outdoor dining. Very kind. The food was delicately prepared, fresh and flavorful. Truly one of those experiences we will be talking about for years to come and recommending to everyone that comes to Venice to get away from the other nonsense that's so easy to experience here. They make their own small batch wine in Sardinia along with their olive oil and homemade bread. Truly, exquisite a genuine culinary triumph and reasonably priced for how good the food and overall experience was.

This is a "must eat at" restaurant in Venice. The owners are charming and understandably proud of the quality and taste of their amazing menu. I would have wanted to go everyday so I could try every dish. You are also away from the crazy crowds and feel this has a genuine local feel and flavour.

Cute place. Unique menu--even a really tasty rosemary beef dish they present with the herbs smoking. Nice ambience inside. Friendly staff. Easy to find location. Try the pickled vegetables!

We loved the food here ! Before our reservation my boyfriend proposed to me in the little plaza outside. The service was a very good and relaxed pace. We did not feel rushed and got to really relax and enjoy the food. The food is made with love and tastes very authentic. My ravioli had saffron ricotta and orange zest. It was so so so delicious. My boyfriend loves his pasta and got fish. It was a special dinner and it is a little more expensive but it is well worth it. The only downside is you can only pay service charge in cash. We had no cash and didn't know. We left Venice the next morning and tried to bring money but they were closed. We ended up having our friend Linda bring a tip two days later. I wish you could tip on the card. Other than that great experience.

The service was so bad! People were so rude and unfriendly. Not helpful at all. Racist towards my Latino family. But the fish was good.
