Trattoria Bella Italia

The main Restaurant was full, but we were invited through the back door. This was amazing. You walk into a the kitchen and the seats are bad, but we had sooo much fun. and the food was great.

Lovely family business. Super kind owner, even taught us a few German words whilst ordering! Food was lovely and very delicious.(See pic for the cheese pizza) However one star taken away because you have to pay for tap water which we were not informed of.

A small gem in Hamburg. The food is very authentic and the service is top notch. It is also a bargain in terms of prices. I would definitely come here again, especially for the tiramisu!

Visited this Italian restaurant and was significantly disappointed. We were ignored for nearly 20 minutes, raising concerns about whether our treatment was influenced by our race. This lack of service left us feeling unwelcome and led us to leave without dining. I found another Italian restaurant within 500 meters that offered excellent service and great value. I recommend other visitors to choose alternatives for a better dining experience.

I totally don't recommend it! I went there with friends and ordered tutti di mare pizza, thinking that since they had such good opinions, everything would be fresh. Unfortunately, I was disappointed, the pizza came with water on top from seafood that was frozen. Additionally, when I went to pay, the gentleman started counting it in his head instead of using a calculator (or maybe a cash register to issue a receipt), which turned out when I counted our order after leaving, it turned out that I had been cheated. I totally do not recommend this restaurant

Cheap and good. Authentic Italian with wine direct from Italy in a larger flask! Food quality and choices were very good especially the pizza. The older server cam speak English and was helpful through out incl the younger lady.. the spaghetti was decent and had the pasta which was ok ok..

The place was quiet when I arrived and the staff was very warm. The menu is not huge but the quality ingrédients were what sets this place apart. Overall it confirmed that I can get better italian food in Spain than Italy 😀

Very good pizza (vesuvio) and pasta! The profiteroles were incredible, and the employees were very kind to us despite us not speaking german.

I arrived on Tuesday at 8pm to my disappointment the place was closed. Not sure if it's permanently closed or just today.

Came in without knowing much about the place. Prompt service and friendly staff. We were made to feel welcome even though we didn't speak fluent German. Would definitely recommend for close to authentic Italian food.

We ordered a Bolognese it was good but nothing "Wow" but after i decided to order a Tiramisu and honestly was one of (if not the best) Tiramisu i ever ate!! Honestly amazing, the waiters were super friendly and helpful... super recommend for couples, in a bigger group i would reserve a seat.

Outstanding!!!! We were traveling from the US and boy were we thrilled to find this gem of a restaurant. Perfect cozy down home Italian. Food is authentic and as good as any you find in Italy. Owner was there attending to every detail. Felt like we were at a relative's house for supper. We wish we had this back home.

This place is pretty cool. It's split into a restaurant and an imbiss (fast-food/takeaway). The food in each part is the same, so I'm told, but the imbiss is cheaper. EUR5 for a massive, delicious pizza is the cost in the imbiss, whereas pizza in the restaurant is EUR6. Seeing as it was a nice day we took our pizza outside and sat on the benches provided. I can highly recommend the Pizza Bella Italia. It's about 12", comes with salami, lots of cheese and huge chunks of roasted pepper, courgette (zucchini) and other veg. There are bowls of sliced chili peppers around just incase you want spicy. Basically everything in the imbiss is EUR5; pizza, pasta - salads might be slightly cheaper.

This is a great lunch place if you work in the Altstadt/Hafencity area. Pizza and Pasta are 5eu each, food is served promptly, selection is good and value for money is excellent. I almost want to take a star off for the fact that there is no seating here at all (it's a standing Imbiss) but the quality of the food more than makes up for it.

The waitress keep ignoring us even if I told her we are in hurry, she just show me a strange face and went to serve another guest. We came in like any normal guest but we could not get the same service, which completely irritated me. Maybe the food are delicious but unfortunately I could not taste them because of this pathetic, racist bitch : )

Went here with a couple friends on a Sat night before hitting the town. Although a little small, this was a great place to fuel up before a night out. I had a delicious pasta arrabiata, salad, house wine, and espresso all for around 10 euro! I would definitely recommend this place. Friends had pasta carbonara and pizza, both were good.

Bella Italia is a small Italian take-away restaurant. The food is freshly prepared and quick and tasts very good. Pizzas cost around 5 Euros. It is possible to eat the food there while standing at a counter and watching the news. It's a good place to have lunch when you work close.

I love this place. First and most obviously because the food is good, I tried Pizza and Filetto di maiale and I wasn't disappointed (side note: I am Italian). Second because it's so cheap, if you wonder if everything still costs 5EUR, the answer isYES! I've been here for the first time in 2010, I don't recall any other business that didn't raise its prices in the last 2 years. Mad props. Third it's in the Speicherstadt, which is one of my favourite landscapes in Hamburg. That said, the place is nothing fancy and always super hectic during lunch, so please when you read that the service isn't great,don't be bother cause it's just pointless. Moreover this is supposed to be a Trattoria, which is not the place you go to if you want a top service (at least in Italy).

I love italian food, they do not have a huge range for veggies but enough to see you through. Sometimes you can be waiting a while for service though, when their busy. The prices are not too bad and the food portions are just right. It is italian at its best!!
