Hands down, the most authentic restaurant we experienced in Rome. This place feels less like a restaurant and more like walking into someone’s home — a humble kitchen, a grandmother cooking from a few huge pots, no pretension, no show, just real food and real life. The atmosphere is pure local trattoria / osteria energy: simple, honest, and full of soul. We arrived in the evening and many dishes were already gone, so we simply ordered what was left — rabbit, veal, cabbage. Not at all what you imagine when you think of “classic Italian food”, and that’s exactly what made it so special. Every bite tasted like tradition. Wine is poured generously into massive carafes, and around us were locals who were already in high spirits from the wine, laughing, talking loudly, completely at home. The whole experience felt raw, unfiltered, and unforgettable. This is not just a meal — it’s a cultural moment. A unique experience in Rome that should absolutely not be missed.

Hands down the best Roman food we ate in Roma! We had a little wait before we got in, but it was well worth it! Family run, shared table experience. Will definitely be returning when we come back to Italy!

If somebody looking for good food, they should try. There are some foods only for some of the days. Home made white wine was really nice. (Homemade. red wine is not tried by us) Stews and pasta was so tasty. Prices are fine.

The best by far food we had in Rome! It doesn’t catch the eye, but if you look closer, locals eat there which is very positive, and the staff is very sweet, polite and helpful! The house wine is great also which was also a very pleasant surprise. It doesn’t make reservations but!

Our favorite restaurant after spending 9 days in Italy having amazing food. This is the best little family run place. We were fortunate enough to have our host recommend this place. We ate here two nights in a row!

I took one look at the old ladies in the kitchen and said, yep this is where we'll find nonna's cooking. We had traditional wholesome food that we love. My partner had the roast coniglio with garlic and rosemary. He said it was like eating his mum's cooking again. We also ordered the rigatoni and a few seasonal side dishes which were yum. They still have the squat toilets to make the experience more authentic. We loved that it was away from the loud crowds from the main area too.

Unfortunately, I can’t understand the good reviews here. For us, the food was simply not good. You can eat much better in Rome. The dishes were very basic, the kind of food you could easily cook at home, and the service was disappointing as well… the woman serving us was quite rude. We wouldn’t recommend this place, especially in Trastevere, where there are many much better restaurants.
